kunle4toyeyaho:Well, when you put it this way, one would want to understand with Amaechi why he did what he did; because it seems he was pushed beyond his breaking point. But was that the only option left for him? I don’t think. Osinbajo was done the same thing in the just concluded electioneering process. From being called unprintable names by Tinubu supporters to being rigged out in highly flawed party convention with accusations of dollarization and delegates being handed ballot papers with a candidate’s name already written on it. Osinbajo after seeing and going through all these had the option to try to rock the boat like Amaechi did in 2015 but he didn’t. Because the whole thing had taken an ethnic dimension with what was presented as Yoruba agenda, I’m sure Osinbajo knew it would be stupid if he was seen as being a clog in the wheel of Yoruba success. See, a lot of things in life are not handled with brawl. Because it was a southern agenda, and a Southsouth agenda in particular at that, Amaechi was wrong to have taken the steps he took in 2015 against his fellow Southsouth man no matter the provocation. |
aswani:Well, because you asked nicely and talked reasonably, I’ll answer you. The new debate started after Sunday Oliseh said in an interview earlier in the week that he’s not Igbo. Now, many of his kinsmen (not Southeast Igbos, I’m talking of Delta Igbos) have called him out for the statement as they argued that they are Igbos. That’s what resurrected the Southeast Igbos and Southsouth Igbos argument. |
garfield1:Just like Tinubu failed woefully down south. |
BeardedmeatR:True. It’s quite obvious Osinbajo did what he did to send a clear message of where he stands in the entire fiasco. That he’s not part of election riggers or part of those who would defend the sham election conducted by INEC. And just yesterday, he was at an event of the PDP people. |
Lol! Them don dey change mouth small small as reality begin to wade in. It was Ganduje that was quoted to have said that “no one knows who would be president at this time”. Now, Lalong is also saying they didn’t really want Tinubu. Why are they beginning to deny Agbado? |
christejames:Something tells me that if Igbos continue to achieve political success in the UK where there’s considerable number of Yorubas, they (Yoruba) might be tempted to start playing the ethnic card in the UK and start telling British people that Igbo people are coming to take their land.🤣 |
Isobug:They would have been shouting Yoruba Ronu up and down🤣 |
You recall that Osinbajo recently held a book launch. It was in that book launch that the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, said, in a speech, that Nigeria lost in not making Osinbajo president. That speech generated a lot of ripples in the Tinubu camp, as expected, but men of conscience know that the Emir said the truth. But away from SLS’ speech, another significant thing that happened in that occasion is that the Vice President opted to invite Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to that book launch despite her recent open letter to the president of the United States, Joe Biden, against the conduct of the just concluded Nigerian election which led to a lot of brawl between her and the APC camp, or should I say the Tinubu camp. Now, before Chimamanda Soyinka was. And this expression is true both in age, attainment of literary success and in dabbling into the conduct of the elections. Just in case what I said above isn’t clear enough, I am saying that when it comes to literary success, that Prof Soyinka won his Nobel Laureate in Literature when Chimamanda was still possibly in Primary School. So if anyone wants to honour or invite people who have achieved literary success, Soyinka should be considered first. But Osinbajo had other ideas. Osinbajo opted to invite Chimamanda to his book launch after she had written an open letter against the conduct of the election, granted an interview on national TV against the govt which Osinbajo is the Vice President in, and even exchanged some banters online with supporters of Tinubu. Now, not only did he extend an official invitation to her, he also posed for photographs with her and caused same to be released in the internet. So, what message do you think was Osinbajo trying to send because only shortsighted persons would think it was just a book launch.

Amaechi will forever regret the day he betrayed Jonathan. It ended in tears for him. Just like it will end in salty tears for Wike. |
BuhariAdvocate:The benefit is the salty tears and the heartache of Tinubu Owambe boys😜. Hope you have not forgotten Osinbajo’s picture with Chimamanda? Be like Osinbajo no send Agbado at all? |
Kingsmeal:Are you sure the picture of them in the airplane is not photoshopped? |
Yhemzie:Can a Briton ever become the Emir of Kano or the Ooni of Ife?💁 |
pquaver:That you think Jonathan is irrelevant is the reason I have nothing to discuss with you. Or aside Obasanjo, which other ex-Nigerian ruler enjoys the goodwill Jonathan enjoys both locally and internationally? What would he be doing in politics after achieving the highest aim of any politician? And you are here talking as if it was not his choice to stay away from PDP. Make una dey try think before una talk for public na🤦. |
ekolobaba:What do you people gain in causing division amongst brothers? Or are you so pained by the renaissance that is happening amongst Southsouth Igbos who are now openly embracing their Igbo identity against you people’s wishes which is that they should deny being Igbo? Your Southwest press spent decades propagating falsehoods and false narratives towards ensuring that Southsouth Igbos deny their Igbo identity. But the advent of social media has exposed a lot of lies told by your ancestors against the Igbos and the victims (Southsouth Igbos) are beginning to use their tongue to count their teeth. But that is troubling to you. And that’s why you created this thread claiming false identity of who you are not. First, the few Igbo words you tried to write were terribly written which shows you have not connection with Igbo. Second, you claimed the Igbo ‘enclave’ is Asaba. Enclave? That’s Elrufai’s word and no true Igbo son will reecho that gibberish from Elrufai. Again, no true Igbo son will say that Asaba is the only Igbo area in Southsouth. What happened to Agbor, Ika, Ukwuani, and other Igbo territories in Delta? What happened to the Igbanke People of Edo State? What happened to the Obigbo People of Rivers State? What happened to even the Ikwerre, Ahaoda, Opobo, Etche, Egbema, and other Igbo clans of Rivers State? There are also Igbos in some parts of Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers. So, no true Igbo son will leave these people and claim that the only “Igbo enclave” is Asaba. Look, this place you are going to, your fathers didn’t succeed there in the dark ages; it would amount to foolhardiness for you to think you can make anything out of it in this Digital Age that the right information is now everywhere. Again, rest in Jesus name. |
ican2020:Rest in Jesus name. What Anyim said was that 2023 presidency is for “Southeast Igbos” alone. He didn’t use the phrase “core Igbos”. I know this news is paining you in the chest, but stop trying so hard to cause division amongst brothers. |
aswani:Lol! Don’t pretend like it’s not you people’s wish and prayer that every Igbo after River Niger denies his Igbo heritage and claim an inexistent tribe if need be. Unfortunately for you people, there seems to be a new renaissance among the Southsouth Igbos who are now openly embracing their Igbo identity despite conceited efforts by powers that be to make them say otherwise. And hey, more is even coming. |
Always remember that they were first of all family before politics happened. That’s point number one. Point number two is, having been made an internally displaced person in APC, it’s time to start making overtures to other political camps so he can find a political shelter for himself. Amaechi will forever regret betraying Jonathan. But I think there’s a curse that always follows all Rivers State governors; from Peter Odili to Amaechi and now Wike. Wike’s own is even up to the level of madness. I won’t be surprised if Wike suffers worst fate than Amaechi is currently going through. |

Tinubu Owambe Boys won’t like this. They are going to be choked🤣. |
garfield1:No matter what the courts decide, it won’t change the fact that Nigerians voted for Peter Obi of the Labour Party in their majority to become president of Nigeria. But INEC in collusion with criminals manipulated the result to the contrary. This truth I shall hold and defend for the rest of my life and even write it in history books, like the 1993 elections has always been defended. I’m sure elements like you must have supported the government of the day (IBB) in his decision to annul the election. But men of conscience who see truth and defend it stood their ground to insist that the right outcome of the election must be told. These men went ahead to stand against the government and fought for democracy and the truth until the got it. So, my friend, don’t expect me to abandon my moniker even if Tinubu and Shettima do 8 years each. I will be here to remind the world and all Nigerians that they are mandate thieves and social misfits who got away with murder and robbery. |
AntiChristian:There’s a reason why Law is an art, different from pure science. So, talking about sets and subsets might not work here. But even in science, there are laws governing every scientific realities and outcomes. It would take 2 HYDROGEN atoms and one OXYGEN atom to make WATER. Now, do you mean to contend that if you go into the Laboratory and use 1 HYDROGEN atom and 2 OXYGEN atoms, you would still get water 💦? Or that if you use 20 HYDROGEN atoms without any OXYGEN atom, you will still get water? You know you won’t. So, the scientific dimension you want to take the argument to is even governed by stricter laws that most be followed with precision. And just like scientific laws, social laws must also be followed to the later. To be declared president in Nigeria, you must get 25% in FCT and Tinubu failed to get it. Therefore, his declaration is null and void and has no legal foundation to stand. |
garfield1:Lol! You’ve abandoned logic for vituperations. Well, if any status quo is to be maintained, then it is the fact that 25% in Abuja is a NECESSARY prerequisite to be declared a president-elect in Nigeria; a provision Tinubu failed to satisfy which invalidates his declaration. |
garfield1:Don’t try to be clever by half… We live in a world guided by laws, rules and regulations. In my instance, just like the election, the law was explicit that you must score credit in English and Mathematics. You are made to be aware of this reality right before you even sit for WAEC so you know which subjects to take most seriously and which ones to take not so seriously. This is why the regulating body would be justified to deny you admission if at the end of the day you fail to make credit in English and Mathematics because you were made aware of the rule/law. Now, in your instance, is there any rule or regulation that state ab initio that to win the Premier League, a team must win Arsenal? |
garfield1:University of Lagos said if you will be admitted to study law, you must make 5 credits including English and Mathematics. Now, you went ahead to score 8 credits and failed English, do you have any ground to insist that Unilag should admit you to study law🤔? |
Kentursky:Are you sure? I dont think you read through this. Because if you did, you would know that your agbado is in trouble. The mandate will be returned |
doctokwus:Must you people defend everything? |
At a time that Nigerians are in a life threatening situation in war ravaged Sudan, and a company like Air Peace offered to airlift Nigerians stuck in Sudan for free, it has been arevealed that Azman Air was allegedly paid 150 million naira to partake in the evacuation exercise going on in Egypt. One wonders if the Federal Government gave any incentives to those who have offered to do this for free before paying this whopping sum to one company to participate in the exercise. Mynd44 Nlfpmod

Nigeria is a joke |
FreeStuffsNG:Yeah. They’ve been projected to lose seats since 2021 but never did until this year that Sunak became Prime Minister; a very unpopular one at that. And to crown his ill fate, he endorsed a clearly sham election that happened in Nigeria. Just a heads up, the Tories (Sunak’s party) is projected to lose even more councilor seats when counting is completed. And in a national election expected to hold next year, the party could lose its majority seats in the House of Common. That’s Karma serving Sunak his punishment very swiftly. |
seunmsg:How did it violate rule 8? Did UK not hold elections? Is Conservative Party not losing seats? Did Sunak not congratulate Tinubu? Please which one is false in what I said, sir? |
After congratulating Tinubu for winning a sham election in Nigeria, Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party has lost seats to the Labour Party and the Democratic Party in UK’s ongoing election. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-65485099 Mynd44 Nlfpmod |
