Fantastic!

Wike can now go ahead and have a deal with Tinubu let’s see how Amaechi will let his candidates be traded off on the alter of stupid deal.

The only road open for Wike and his men is the road to Peter Obi but ego won’t let him.

I think 2019 (where all APC Candidates were off the ballot) was a pointer to their bromance.

Recently, Oshiomhole went to Rivers and solicited support for Tinubu at the expense of all other APC Candidates. Wike-Tinubu alliance didn't start today.
But that still doesn’t guarantee that Rivers people will vote Tinubu.

I know that for sure.

My beloved brother from the South, please remove this foolish Mentality that Fulanis can ever allow Igbo to be President even after 100 Years, except you don't truly know them. The mistake of Igbos killing their beloved Leaders on January 15Th,1966 would never be Forgiven by Fualnis, they are not Yorubas that have Forgiving Spirit. Only a Yoruba President would guaranteed that Igbo becomes President. You Igbos should quickly Meet with Tinubu to Sign an Agreement with you that he would only Spend 4 Years after which he would allow an Igbo to take over and Spend the remaining 4 Years. This is the Wisest Way to go for Igbos, not self-deceitfully hoping against hope that Fulanis would ever hand over Power to them. Know this and know Peace
So, are you saying that if INEC declares Peter Obi winner of the election, Buhari will refuse to hand over to him?

[s][/s] Infact after that there were newspaper reports that misquoted him. His Office even issued a rejoinder that he didn't say that.

He was parrying questions they were asking him unnecessarily.

I believe Atiku knows this and that's why they have been insistent Ayu will not leave especially on the fact that Wike is saying he will produce the next Chairman who should be from the SW. Wike is trying to be clever by half, when the PDP National Chair was zoned to SW, he refused and forced his way to install Secondus.

The reasonable thing to do is LP but his interests cannot be accommodated there. His eyes says it all, that it is APC. Infact, the reason they haven't started the main work is because of some of his colleague Govs, esp Ortom. The APC Guber Candidate is enough headache for him. The "political extermination" of Amaechi even brings him closer to Tinubu than anyone else.
Let even tell you that I think what united Tinubu and Wike is their fight against Amaechi.

I am not claiming to know this for sure but I think Tinubu helped Wike fix his 2015 gubernatorial election case at the Supreme Court after Tribunal and Appeal Court sacked him.

The last thing Tinubu wanted was for Amaechi to grow in influence by taking control of Rivers Government House.

But you know Tinubu wouldn’t have done that without extracting commitments from Wike; which might include support in a time like this.

But let’s see who wins between Obasanjo bloc, Atiku bloc and Tinubu bloc. 2023 is surely promising to be interesting.

If tinubu wins, tinubu might still allow wike to remain in pdp just like we had in anambra between pdp and apga or he joins apc and amechi and go joins pdp...

In your calculations, obi might win but in wike calculations,he sees a tinubu win.again, the kind of politics wike plays won't sit well with obi.wike is brutal, controlling, loves money, violent, corruption etc.obi can't tolerate this but tinubu will.obi hardly compromises while tinubu is flexible
Not true. If Atiku loses, there would be no reason for Ayu to step down and if Ayu completes his tenure and organizes the next convention, then he’d ensure Wike’s men are prevented from winning anything in the party’s leadership.

They will viciously mess Wike up whether they win or not.

Wike’s only option is to leave PDP or stay and be humiliated.

Because of your Self-destructive Cancerous Envy for Yorubas, you are Choosing that massive Raping Sisters, Mothers, Wife and brutal Killings your very own Brothers should Resume earnestly with exponential Rate after February 25th. That is exactly what is in the Offing if the F People successfully manipulate you againt Tinubu to the very End of February 25TH.
All these vile this early morning? Do you have this much bitterness in you?

Let’s interrogate your claim that only a Yoruba man can bring Igbo Presidency to fruition…

Let’s assume Tinubu wins (God forbid), he will be president for 8 years (God sparing his life).

Now, after his 8 years, can another southerner succeed him? No. It will be the turn of the north again and this time, Kashim Shettima will be in a pole place to take the presidency and likely be there for another 8 years. Put these years together and you have 16 years that an Igbo man cannot lay claim to the presidency again.

But it’s not so with Atiku…. If Atiku wins the presidency, he is only going to be there for 8 years at most. At the end of which the Igbos can lay claim to the presidency again.

So, have you seen that your claim is defective?

Over the years and throughout his career, his allies have always been Northerners.

Tinubu is organically loved by Yorubas like Abiola was.

You can’t compare Tinubu’s place in the hearts of Yoruba people to how they saw Awolowo and Abiola.

Not same obasanjo that was jailed?
Not same obasanjo that was again threatened of jail by Jonathan regime?
Not same obasanjo that wanted to be UN sec Gen but was discarded as unqualified?
Be civilized enough to know that no country can interfere in another country's leadership selection.
Obasanjo is only hiding under Nigeria past glory, obasanjo has no personal glory, same way any clean nigerian business men, academics, professionals are celebrated all over the world. Obasanjo is a mere lucky overrated opportunist that was coronated as president in 1999 to help sustain status quo of Nigeria vicious circle.
If obasanjo was this important, can you compare him with Theophilus danjuma before 1999? Ofcourse not, that is to tell you that Theophilus danjuma was the real deal after the death of muritala till 1999, he actually installed both obasanjo and yaradua and watched over them. Obasanjo can only boast of N20000 home and abroad before 1999 while danjuma was a multi billionaire, all these is to let you know obasanjo has never been a serious force to reckon with, a mere errand of keeping nigeria status quo as taken over from aguyi ironsi. Aguyi ironsi destroyed nigeria fundamentally out of greed and envy, he introduced single line of command in nigeria, after he was taken out, the northerners saw potency of that singular order that can make or mar coexistence of Nigeria.
Nothing like obasanjo speak hausa and he will speak hausa to northern elders on what to do. Comeoff it man, this is not village tales by moonlight.

I must have misjudged anyways but Wike has been pro-Tinubu from time.

I watched the Interview you are talking about. He is boxed in anyways.
Good to hear you watched the interview I’m referring to.

Throughout that interview, the Channels TV guys tried to get him to react to things bothering on Tinubu and he always avoided it. That was the day I knew that the two had something going on.

Now, about Wike being boxed, I don’t think.

Even though I’m not expecting it, but the Labour Party offers the best platform for Wike and his men.

He can’t retake control of PDP; the northern guys have outsmarted him. Similarly, going to APC offers him almost nothing as well because Wike cannot be allowed to control anything in APC; he’d have too many strong men to contend with.

But not so with the Labour Party…. The Labour Party is a land waiting to be cultivated. If Wike and his men go to Labour Party, they might likely be allowed to take control of Party leadership since the current national chairman is likely to go to the senate.

Wike might become the leader of the party in the south, just behind Obi, if they win the election. Add that to other appointments and what have you that might come with it.

Politics › Northerners Defend Obasanjo Against Buhari On BBC Hausa. (pictures) by Penguin2(op): 8:43pm On Jan 04, 2023
BBC Hausa has become one of my favorite social media pages on Facebook because it is the platform with the highest conglomeration of northerners which helps me gauge the opinion of Northerners about any (political) topic in Nigeria.

So, earlier today I went scrolling through their page and came across the reaction of the presidency against the statement of Obasanjo where he stated, in his letter, that Nigerians have moved from frying pan to fire.

Trust me, I was expecting Obasanjo to be torn to shreds in the comment section but I was shocked to my marrows to find almost every respondent siding with Obasanjo and attacking Buhari.

Such is the goodwill enjoyed by Obasanjo all over the country which explains why his letter of endorsement carries so much weight that the entire country has been riled up since the letter went to market.

Bala did not betray Wike. Infact, he contested specifically to avoid giving Bauchi votes as a bloc to Atiku. He had no chance and he knew that.

For Wike's support, I have tried to shy away from the emotions and sentiments. Wike will go with Tinubu give or take. Either he goes with Obi to halve Atiku's chances or subtly work for Tinubu, that's how it works. It's just that Penguin2 is too emotional about these people that only fight for their interests.

I like the GEJ/Lyon example.

What will Wike gain from an Obi Presidency? He doesn't play their kind of politics. A Wike who is dragging an experienced Atiku/Ayu and sometimes shading Tinubu will now be loyal to Obi?
.
Will he get power? Will he benefit with money? Will he have power and control over LP or at Federal or Party level because he can't gain control of PDP again, so what's in it for him?

Wike is stuck with PDP or with Tinubu not APC. That's it.
Accusing me of being emotional as regards the Wike and his men’s case is a testament that you have not been following my comments here on Nairaland since Wike began his rantings.

As far back as 2020 when Wike had a one hour interview with Channels TV and avoided taking on Tinubu throughout the interview, I knew there was something between Wike and Tinubu.

So, I have always suspected that Wike might work for Tinubu; what is debatable is if he can get all 4 of his colleagues to support Tinubu with him or will some of them go a different way like Ortom is already doing.

I’m not priding to have outgrown emotions, no one ever does, but I’m too rational for emotions to becloud my reasoning.
