ImperialYoruba: Freak! 500yrs to the future even after dissolution of Nigeria we will still blame Ibo for killing Nigerian citizens in cold blood.
We are not amplifying, we mourn our own brothers and sisters assassinated by Nzeogwu in Kaduna. We mourn our Premier assassinated in his house. All infron of their families.
No matter how many ibo lost lives to the retaliation, we do not believe enough of you has been slaughtered to pay for your madness. If it had, you would have been cured of your mental syndrome, and not now in 2023 be swelling with ego and aggression, harassing citizens up and down the length and breadth of Nigeria as if you own us.
Sit your @ss down before you get knocked the fck out of Nigeria, and then have your independence confiscated a second time to continue as a dot that no one wants.
Over 50yrs since war ended, do you not till today still hate Awolowo? Have you forgiven him?
So shut it and suck up! Lol! I’m so happy that the people you thought you were helping the Fulani to annihilate are now your greatest nightmares. We came back from the impossible. You lots have done your worst. Not like you matter in scheme of things anyways. |

ItsTutsi: Do you know 25% votes in kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Bauchi and Niger State is equivalent to 100% in SE
Kano, Katsina, kaduna= 13m SE= 10m
No matter how bad Tinubu performs, gettin only 25% in those five states is equivalent to whatever PO will get in SE
Base on above analysis, Tinubu has already cancelled out SE for PO.. now remaining 14 northern state, which PO can only see 25% in plateau and Benue Sometimes I just laugh at some of you and the way you reason. Most times you guys make unintelligent and illogical submissions just to make an argument. Let me use your submission here for instance… 25% of 13m votes is 3.2million votes for Tinubu in 3 Northwest states. While 100% of 10million votes is 10million for Obi in five Southeast states. Now, do you think you still made sense?

christistruth01: Thank you very much
Ironsi And Azikiwe were the real brains behind the Coup
Gen Ironsi was the head of the Army and was responsible for Providing Security for those murdered
by his Army boys
For example Ademuleguns Security details were secretly changed in the Middle of the night without his knowledge
Only Ironsi was Authorised to do that
Secondly Azikiwe went Abroad because he knew of the planned Coup
The British intelligence contacted Dr Azikiwe’s Doctors in the UK who confirmed there was
nothing wrong with Azikiwe and he was healthy enough to return to Nigeria, for the
Commonwealth Conference
Thirdly after the Prime Minister was Kidnapped and Several People Killed Alhaji Ahmed Kurfi
Went to the State House to see Gen Ironsi about the Missing Prime Minister
and found him at a meeting with Ifeajuna who had just killed
Brigadier Maimailari and Prime Minister Balewa Present You are the first person I’m hearing accuse Ironsi of masterminding the coup. Nobody has done that before, including scholars. The only thing that has ever been used against Ironsi was his prevarication to prosecute the coup plotters. So, where are you getting your narratives? |

Nzeogwu is Igbo Speaking but they see themselves as offshoot Of Benin Fantastic! So how come his coup is an Igbo coup? |

ItsTutsi: Lol you keep sticking to the same fallacy, fantasy, deceit and myth! This election will teach u a bitter lesson, that you don't know much about politics like how you do in business
I wish we were close by so we could bet on these aspects;
1. PO won't get block votes from SS, infact there is good possibility he might lose in that region! It's far from his stronghold
If eventually PO wins SS, it won't be by more than 60%, I'm ready to bet my life savings on this.. The only state PO has a clear lead over others is Rivers state
2. PO will come a distant 3rd in NC
3. Kwankwasso is not a contestant in this election, he will only poll votes in Kano and Jigawa. If your hopes are in kwankwasso dividing northern votes, then you are highly delusional
You read this here first, Feb 25 will be very interesting, new things will be learnt! After this election, whoever gets their permutation right. I/you shall open a thread a pay homage, deal? Unfortunately, you are still missing the point by a wild margin. You just admitted that Kwankwaso will get votes from Kano and Jigawa…. Now, my question is, imagine the race is between Peter Obi and Tinubu, who do you think those people that will vote Kwankwaso would have voted for? With APC governors in both states, and with all the religious sentiments, do you think they would voted for Obi? Definitely not. Those would have been Tinubu’s votes. Now, you surreptitiously refused to talk about the votes that Atiku will get in the north too. These are votes that ordinarily would have gone to Tinubu if it down to him and Obi; because of obvious reasons. So, instead of emotional vituperations of who knows politics and who does not, give what I just said a rational dissection and you realize that Atiku, Kwankwaso and Tinubu are the reasons why Obi will win 2023 elections. |

Soludo knows some facts that might not be known to us Lol! It’s not about knowing politics, it’s purely common sense. Ask yourself, if Atiku and Kwankwaso weren’t in this race, and it is reduced to Peter Obi and Tinubu, who will people in Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, etc, vote for? Similarly, take Tinubu away from the race, and reduce the election to Atiku and Obi, who will you in particular vote for? Definitely not Obi. And there are millions of people like you from Southwest. So, whether you admit it or not, Atiku and Tinubu in the race are actually to Obi’s advantage. |

* Take Atiku away from the North and his voters will vote Tinubu.
* Take Kwankwaso away from Kano, and Kano people will vote Tinubu.
* Take Tinubu away from the Southwest, and bigoted Yorubas would rather vote Atiku than vote Obi.
I laugh when some people like Soludo claim that Tinubu will win the upcoming election because of Obi.
On the contrary, Obi will win the election because of Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso.
You know why?
Take Atiku away from this election, and northern voters, especially the core north, would rather vote a dead Tinubu than a Nyamiri.
Take Tinubu away from the election, and millions of western voters would rather have a Fulani man continue ruling us than vote for “Omo Ibo”.
Now, take Kwankwaso away, and Kano votes and some other votes he’s likely to get from the Northwest, would have been either an Atiku or a Tinubu gain.
But because these men are in the race, Obi is hopeful of victory.
With expected landslide victory in Southeast and Southsouth, Marginal victory in North Central, expected good outing in the Southwest and the votes of Christians in Northwest and Northeast, Obi is clearly coming out tops.
So, there you have it, rather than their rhetorics that Obi’s emergence is Tinubu’s gain, it is actually the emergence of Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso that is to Obi’s gain. These three gladiators will waste the votes of Northeast and Northwest to ensure that it doesn’t favour anybody while Obi coasts to victory with votes from the regions where he clearly has no competitor.
2023 was designed by God!

90% of the candidates he is talking to know that their loss of election will start the day they openly associate with Tinubu in their constituency.
Or show me one Southeast gubernatorial, Senatorial or House of Rep candidate that have openly printed a poster or billboard of himself and Tinubu. They know that pasting such poster outside is automatic loss of election for them.
Even in Southsouth… apart from Omo Agege, I don’t recall any other candidate openly associating with Tinubu.

Politics › Re: 2023 Election: It Is Getting Too Late For PDP - Adem30 by Penguin2: 1:08am On Jan 16, 2023 |
adem30: People either not paying attention to the real issues during the campaign or are delebrately ignoring the facts. Things are not well with PDP and almost everything is working in favour of Tinubu.
These facts need to be notice and work upon before many people becomes media Bandits after the election.
1. APC is the rulling party which controls most of the major states with high voting capacity
2. PDP crisis seems not resolvable with the G5 governors
3. Peter Obi factor. Despite that Obi stand no chance to win neither to come second, but he is having a huge negative impact on PDP who will surely comes second at the poll. Because SE is a major region where PDP gets bulk votes, if eventually Obi has impact over SE and slash the bulk votes coming from SE, this is a huge blow for PDP. Plus the sympathy votes that PDP used to get from those who delebrately hates anything APC might be going going in Obi direction.
4. APC are in good order, all those matter most with electoral value are on same page with Tinubu. APC campaign strategies are superb where you see different campaigns going on across the country, from Women wing to Youth wing. Seems PDP women and Youth wings are not even functioning when you compare them with what Dr. Edu and Dayo Isreal are doing for APC. I am not sure if I really know who PDP women leader and Youth Leader is
5. Tinubu is busy meeting with different stake holders within the party and private sectors but seems the oppositions are not learning from the strategies apart from catching Cruse on social media.
6. I rember in the 2019 election both Kwankwaso and Obi worked for PDP yet they lost, what's the fate of PDP without these two with the unrepentant G5 governors.
PDP should wake up, it's getting too late already, Nigeria deserves a proper opposition, what PDP is presenting is making the coming election a walkover for the rulling party This is so intellectually debasing that I couldn’t finish it. Imagine you saying that Peter Obi will “slash” PDP votes in Southeast. What that means is that you don’t believe Obi is winning Southeast and you also believe PDP will still get considerable votes from Southeast? I give up on some of you. |

sweerychick: Today January 15th is armed forces remembrance, this year's celebration is quite different from others because I noticed a lot of emotional gameplay on social media especially here on Nairaland about the Jan 1966 failed coup. Even here on Nairaland forum I noticed that a lot of threads about how Igbos planned to take over Nigeria during the 1966 coup, to the extent of one Dr Musa Bayero hash tagging #Northremembers#. This brings me back as far back as 1983 when the current President Buhari overthrew Alh shehu shagari and his Vice Dr Alex Ekwueme, some speculation was that Shagari was planning to hand over to Dr Alex Ekwueme his Vice thus leading to the coup. Now with the way Peter Obi popularity is surging and they way people are particularly interested in this election especially the youth, one can comfortably predict how the outcome of the election would be. I'm not predicting Obi would win but I know he stands a strong chance of winning, If the latter happens by God's grace would President Buhari led APC government comfortably hand over power to Peter Obi With all these reservations by the north about Igbos? If INEC declares Peter Obi as President-elect, Buhari would have no choice than to hand over to him. The only thing that they might want to do is to send their boys in the Army to organize a coup but even that will be roundly rejected by Nigerians, Nigeria and her friends and development partners. |

When you resort to hyperbole, distortion or outright lies you lose credibility Ibo personalities have said and done thing s offensive to others there are no saints on any side? Less than 10 years after the war there was an election in 1979, There was a genuine effort to reconcile and reintegrate Ibos and the Yoruba made a genuine sacrifice in 1979,they did not play the card of being Victor in 1970 Ekwueme emerged as VP and Ume Ezeoke as Speaker House of representatives in a deal that excluded Yoruba. So stop this victimhood narrative it is dishonest and insulting So, if an Igbo man was good enough to become Vice President in 1979, why is not good enough to be president almost 40 years later? And talking about deals… There was no deal. What happened was political horse trading that saw an alliance between NPN and UPP which defeated Awolowo and his party.
