Politics › Where Was Chimaroke When Tinubu Went To Enugu Yesterday? by Penguin2(op): 11:00am On Jan 12, 2023 |
Tinubu was in Enugu for his campaign yesterday. Enugu, as you know, is the city of Chimaroke who governed it between 1999 and 2007.
Although a sitting PDP senator, Chimaroke has declared his support for the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu, and was even included in the APC PCC.
But when Tinubu went to Enugu for his campaign yesterday, Chimaroke was conspicuously absent from Tinubu’s campaign.
He did not come to welcome him at the Airport, did not go to the campaign ground nor did Tinubu visit him at home.
You want to say maybe Chiboy (as he’s fondly called) is out of the country?
Then he should have sent a support group. Or tweeted about it. He should have done something to show that his preferred presidential candidate is in his state.
Or has Chimaroke finally realized that identifying openly with Tinubu is tantamount to kissing his senatorial ambition goodbye?
Is he finally awake to reality on ground?
What don’t we know?

The choice shouldn’t be difficult for any Nigerian who is not a fool. |

Nobody should arrest him. I don’t subscribe to that.
Arresting him will give him all the limelight he’s looking for and make him the poster child and face of Tinubu Campaign.
The incident will now be used as an example of how Igbos will bully and arrest anyone who disagrees with them when they get power.
Trust me, you can’t predict the dimensions that arresting that charlatan will take.
I suggest that he’s allowed to fool himself around until he gets tired and slide back into oblivion whence he came.

Hahahahahaha!
So they are dedicating a whole body of independent campaigners who are promising to strategize on how to win Lagos for Tinubu?
Wow!
I thought Tinubu is the Jagaban of Lagos?
I thought Tinubu owns Lagos?
I thought Tinubu BATstards resident on Nairaland said Tinubu has Lagos wrapped around his finger?
Well, it’s obvious that reality on ground says different and that’s why Tinubu is now jittery and going extra mile to try to win his ‘state of origin’.
But isn’t it funny that Tinubu is the only one among the presidential front runners that is not sure of winning his home state?
Or did you see Atiku setting up Independent Campaign Council in a bid to win Adamawa?
Did you see Kwankwaso setting up extra council to try to win Kano?
Or does Obi need to lift a finger before winning Anambra in a landslide?
Tinubu will lose Lagos. The reality is becoming obvious. But his BATstards can continue to comfort themselves with a lie. |

But these people are in PDP ready to work for Atiku (tho Linda na grassroot politician and I've never seen her campaign for Atiku because if she do, she'll loose her polling unit , she knew how ruthless we can be when voting.) but let everyone reap the reward of his hard work and because of that we're voting Idu Emeka of LP all the way. Linda sef don try for that seat e don tey for green Chambers. Thank you for your dedication to Obi’s course. Meanwhile, like I said earlier, let’s just vote LP all through. I know people like Ben Nwoye ( I don’t like him) will benefit from it but let’s do it that way so that some of these our politicians who think they can stand against the people will some hard lessons. Politics › Re: New Military Postings: Wrong Timing. by Penguin2: 9:40am On Jan 09, 2023 |
lionofafrica12: The Nigerian Politicians have taken their eyes off the ball and looking at the goal post. The military are not gone but waiting and strategizing on what to do next and waiting for the most opportune time to take over the government. Buhari government is almost at her tail end and a southerner is most likely to take over. The recent postings in the Army and other divisions of the Nigeria Military should have waited until the next Commander in Chief comes in. Politically it is not the best time to change Brigade commanders, GOC and Divisional leaders. Military leaders have been known to place their loyalist in strategic position to make Coup d'état easier( Babangida , Abacha etc) did it in the past and this is another move by the military to reposition loyalist in strategic positions for an eventuality. Politicians and the Commander in Chief should instruct the Military to tarry a while until the new Government takes position and or established it's root firmly before new postings are effected. The Military needs supervision and should never be allowed to runs it's affairs without maximum supervision. African Military cannot be trusted( the first and second republic leaders who failed to monitor the Army closely paid for it in blood and tears with military mutiny). Our destiny in Nigeria was bleeped up by military incursion into politic( they are not trained to govern; they are thieves and looters and plunderers: it is a war mentality) The Nigerian Military are not gone but waiting . Politicians awake and monitor the Army LEAST you all pay with blood . I beg to disagree with you. As much as I agree with you that the military is still lurking around and looking for opportunity to seize power again, I think the recent postings, if any, is very necessary. It’s most likely that some of them may have been compromised by politicians in their area of assignment and extracted commitments from them to help look away when their boys come to cause mayhem or disrupt elections. So, transferring those people and bringing in new ones is a good move. If you ask me, I will even say it’s too early. They should have waited till February. Because between January and February 25th is enough time to compromise the new commanders. |

chinchum: if you dont see the "strong weakness" of the ANAP poll then your analytical skills is quite questionable. Over 52% of respondents are undecided !!!. It is worthless as P in Psychology. Giving all states equal weight is also a serious flaw in the worthless ANAP polls. Kano state will produce votes of at least 3 states in the South east.
Past elections and most importantly the immediate past presidential election are good indicators. Voter participation will not be significantly different in most regions compared to 2019. Your labour party win in SE and Ss states will not be as convincing due to the fact it is not a major party and it wont even present house of rep and senatorial candidates in some places. Party structure can NEVER be underrated in Nigeria.
I rarely miss. My 2019 projections for presidential election was +- 2%. I will update less than a week to the election as i will be close to accurate.
The numbers are not hard to get, based on expected voters turnout in each regions compared to voters card issued in relation to percentage of votes expected for each candidate. You are just attacking ANAP polls because the result isn’t palatable to you. Meanwhile, I didn’t mention ANAP Poll because I believe 100% in its result but to tell you how polling agencies function; that they always function with percentages and not figures. This is the same methodology used by the agencies who poll American, French, Uk, elections. So, I ask again, are you more intelligent, or claim to have developed a better methodology than these guys? If yes, has it been subjected to test and certified portent? Again, that you think there’s no increased voter willingness to vote in 2023, and you are expecting voter turnout not quite different from 2019, is one of the biggest jokes of 2023 already. So, to you, all this people you saw rushing to register for PVC and labouring to collect those PVCs are just internet frenzy, right? |

chinchum: what is projections without figures?
A lot of factors where considered before arriving at the figures. Or you think since i project Obi to win 10-11 states then the votes are less. At the end, some youths supporting Obi will realise what structure means after 2023 presidential election, the others may likely bury their hand in sand and allege rigging and votes not counting. God will preserve us all. You can’t claim to have a parameter, or to be more intelligent than ANAP polls and other polling agencies who use percentages instead of figures. And all over the world, I have not seen where any agency is making election projections and is using figures; it is always percentage. So, what’s your own methodology? Abi una don write result? |
