When Tinubu supporters talk sometimes I wonder if they have no sense of immediate history or they have lied to themselves until they started believing the lies.

The reason why Tinubu is president today is because INEC said they experienced a technical glitch that made them unable to transmit results to IREV from across Nigeria. In so doing Nigerians were blindsided and then through whatever means, INEC came up with 8 million votes for Tinubu.

Look at what happened in Rivers State. It has come to be infamously known as the “Rivers Template.”

So, in essence, things like “technical glitch” and “Rivers Template” are how Tinubu came to power; whether you you accept it or not doesn’t change this fact.

Now, my question is, will INEC tell us they had a technical glitch again in 2027 and resort to manual collation and conjuring up of numbers for whoever they want?

Will men Amaechi and co, state and watch Wike repeat the Rivers Template either in Rivers or anywhere in Nigeria in 2027?

Do Tinubu supporters think that Nigerians will stand and be told to “go to court” again should INEC choose to be funny again?

Nobody is giving anybody anything. Every region should do their political permutations and choose what pleases it. Southsouth are already positioning as a region to Vice a Northerner in 2031 and then presidency in 2039. They will mostly support Tinubu because of what's in it for them in the future, not even now. Power will still return North whether in 2027 or inevitably in 2031. The North as a region is strategically positioned to benefit from either scenarios because all their eggs are not in one basket. Do whatever pleases you or your region but nobody will surrender the ADC ticket to Obi without participating in the primaries. A section of the North (with potentially the largest voting bloc) has extended a handshake across the Niger to the Southeast like was done with the Southwest in 2015. Obi can either sink or swim with the future of his region. Soludo gave him a hint in 2023 but he didn't take it.

Do you know what he did? He directed about 30 ACN House of Rep members who were mostly from Southwest, to throw their weight behind Aminu Tambuwal, northerner from Northwest, to defeat Jonathan’s candidate who is from Southwest.

On the day of the inauguration of the House, the entire North threw their weight behind Tambuwal. With the ACN Reps from Southwest and others from East, Tambuwal won and Mulikat lost.

In Akwa Ibom for example. there is no opposition party again. Both the APC and PDP structures have now been merged. Something similar will happen in Bayelsa. So, how can anyone defeat APC in those states? As it stands, Atiku won't even get 25% in any southern states except he runs with Peter Obi which is looking unlikely.

Who told you Atiku will be the presidential candidate of the coalition?

And talking about governors’ influence on elections, in 2019, Okowa was a sitting governor and vice presidential running mate to Atiku but did that stop Obi from winning Delta with more than 50% of votes cast?

The Presidential running mate to Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has, while fielding questions from journalists, stated that there is no crack between himself and Peter Obi.

He went on further to state that there will never be a crack between both of them. That it is even easier to break the head of the APC than to bring a crack between the both of them.

At the other hand, Tinubu has already started scheming on how to scuttle the coalition by either infiltrating it or activating sleeper cells within. What are we even saying? Shebi some people are already in court challenging the interim leadership of the coalition.

But here’s where it gets interesting. While Tinubu is trying to scuttle the ADC leadership (coalition), Peter Obi seems to be having two pronged approach towards the resolution of the Labour Party leadership crisis.

The first is being part of those who enthroned the Nenadi Usman led Interim Leadership.

And secondly, we just saw Datti appear at Abure led leadership’s NEC meeting obviously representing Peter Obi’s interest.

And that’s where Tinubu’s confusion sets in.

Or in ensuring Nenadi Usman doesn’t get accepted by INEC?

The big question is how are you sure the LP crisis is not a deliberate manufacturing of Obi and Abure to give the enemies hope?

Their unified support underscored the national character of the movement and signalled its strong prospects for legislative and eventual executive approval.

Nwoko, in a letter dated May 27, 2025, urged Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his colleagues to back the bill, citing the urgent need for justice, equity, and inclusive development.
