Romance › Re: I'm In Love With My Colleague's Ex by Penguin2: 9:35am On Aug 20, 2021 |
Abbey117: There is this lady who recently joined our organization. She caught my attention but I wanted to take things slow. Later I got to know that my other colleague at work had already spoken to this lady and they had been having serious romance. I had to cut off every affections though the lady in question and I later became best friends.
Fast forward to the present day, they broke up and the babe had been trying to gather herself. I cunningly asked her if she could work things out with the guy but she bluntly said no.
The issue here now is that I've been developing serious affection for her again though during our chats before their breakup I had told her I developed feelings for her but my other colleague was faster than I in approaching her of which she said I should have told her about it.
This lady ticks every boxes I want in a woman.
Kindly advice me... At the end of the day, what matters is ur happiness. If you are certain the girl ticks every box of what u want in a woman, then go for her. Las las na person ex girlfriend u go still marry. It doesn’t matter if it’s ur colleague’s ex or another. Don’t deny yourself happiness because of useless social values that has no bearing on ur personal satisfaction. |

richmondefosa: Not entirely. You could join as an experienced hire sometime in future. Never say never. Stay positive. Experienced hire? Without having worked in any bank before? |
Career › Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by Penguin2: 2:35pm On Aug 17, 2021 |
richmondefosa: For a GT role, no you cannot join. You need to have an NYSC too. So the road to working in the bank is closed? |
Career › Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by Penguin2: 2:23pm On Aug 17, 2021 |
richmondefosa: Yes you can still apply. That’s why it’s called a Graduate Trainee. It’s not an experienced hire role. You do not need to study banking and finance to be a banker. I have a colleague who studied industrial chemistry. The other did plant abi soil science I can’t readily recall.
They don’t use background to pick. Pass the exam and finish off the interview then you’re good to go. I don’t think banks offer internships for graduate hires o. I may be wrong though.
If you scale the exams and interview, you’ll be sent to training school for a couple of months. I did 3 months in training school. Here you’ll be well grounded in the workings of the bank.
After training school, you’ll be rotated in 3/4 different department of the Bank within 3/4 months per department.
You could do 3 months in sales (you’ll be sent to a branch), do another 3 months in compliance, another in corporate communications or IT. Basically any department.
At the end of your rotation, you’ll eventually be settled in any one of the positions you performed best.
I remember during my interview, there was a covenant university graduate who did banking and finance. She didn’t make it. My point is that for a GT role, you don’t need to have a background in finance. All that’s needed is a university. Baba, no vex. Does a 30 year old 2.2 Graduate of philosophy without NYSC have still have the chances of getting recruited by a bank? Or make the person move on? |

Politics › Re: D by Penguin2: 12:36pm On Aug 16, 2021 |
Aboki99: Pls I am just curious as to why an average southern Nigerian person always takes sides with West/America whether they are wrong or right? Or why do they always lick the America's or the West's dirty boots or try to always consider their culture and themselves as inferior to the West or America? Or why do they always think America is invincible?
For instance, I did my msc in UK, and as one of the few northern guys in the midst of a pack of southern girls and boys, I observe the following:
1) Southerners always condensendingly kowtow, Revere and capitulate to the white people wanting to always befriend or get their attention. On many occasions, I felt embarrassed by such acts from southern guys. "What do these people take white people for!", I would say to my self many times. And the white people I observe had more respect for me as I take them as my equals after all the Quran tells me "....the best of you in the sight of Allah are those who are concious of Him (that is, those who keep His commandments)"
2) Southerners always forced themselves to speak like white people. The way my southern classmates (both men and women) tried hard to twist their tongues just to sound British in their accent was both hilarious and embarrassing for me.
3) I observe that an average Southerners always close their eyes to whatever acts of atrocities the West or America commits when it is Crystal clear such acts are immoral and ungodly. As believers in God or Jesus or whatever, I had expected that, southerners would at least have a modicum of morality to take sides with the truth no matter who are involved. But alas, whatever atrocities the West or America commits especially against Muslims, you can bet that southern Nigerians will take sides with America or the West. Please does Christinity lack moral standards or is it the case that southern xtians don't adhere to such standards? For e.g I came across my Englishmen and women who condemned and see as acts of injustice the invasion of Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. Yet, I have never come across a single southern xtians who even acknowledge a single thing (out of the many atrocities) the West or America commit in Muslim countries .
Please who can help me get into the psychology or thinking processes of the southerners on these issues? Why does Northern Nigeria lick the a55 of Arab League like their oxygen depends on it? |

(1) When has that road become popular?
(2) When has that road become better than Bauchi Road through terminus or Anguwan Rukuba - Kwang - Maraban Ja'ama by-pass?
(3) Were the commuters not aware of the killings in Miango for the past three weeks that they decided to follow the unpopular road?
(4) Can Ondo state publish the names of the commuters with their family endorsement?
(5) Why did they decide to follow the unpopular road the same day Iregwe were conducting a mass burial of their people who were killed within the week? It’s good to see you know the terrain and that they are actually selling a lie. Possibly they were an army going for reinforcements. |

They didn’t deserve to die for the sins of others.
But where did they stand in the crisis while they were alive?
Did they condemn the many attacks of their fellow Fulani people on innocent indigenes?
Or they went to get briefing on how to resume their own killings in Ondo?

LibertyRep: A southern chairman implies that the presidential candidate comes from the North. The next presidential election will not just be PDP vs APC, it might eventually become North vs South
This would have been the better time for Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State to try his luck if he hasn't left Atiku too early to port to APC. You have a huge point. If OGD was still in the PDP, he would have been the best choice. Right now, I don’t trust Agbaje because I don’t know what happens between him and Tinubu in the night. Olabode George should go take several seats. He’s old now and should be on retirement. The former Bayelsa deputy Governor will be seen as Dickson lapdog and won’t sell. Atiku will make Dakwambo doesn’t smell the position. That leaves us with Oyinlola: a tough man, I trust his strength. But his recents defections is a huge question mark on his loyalty to the party. If you ask me, Liyel Imoke is the perfect man for the job. And being that he’s friend to Wike and Atiku is good. But Wike wouldn’t want somebody from Southsouth to succeed Secondus because of his own ambitions. But for now, I stand with Imoke. |

Zombies will call the Emir an IPOB.
As of 2014, our PPP was $3,099 but zombies, I mean stupid retarded idiots, will open mouth to talk about GEJ administration.
By 2019, our PPP had gone down to $2,229. If World Bank was to release the data as of 2021, I’m sure it must have gone down to about $1,500.
One thing Sanusi did not talk about is our debt profile.
As of 2014 when the PPP was $3,099 our debt profile was not even half what it is today.
Zombies, may your lives go 40 years backwards like Buhari has done with Nigeria.
