Nigeria will be great. But it is a pity I'll be an old man then |

Even though Nigeria is nothing to write home about, sometimes some of all these reports are far from the truth.. The other day I was seeing a news that Lagos is the 2nd most dangerous city to live in and I was like, "most dangerous in what way exactly?" How can you tell me that Lagos is more dangerous than cities in Syria, Yemen, Libya etc.?? Or does dangerous have another meaning again? |
John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Same question asked today. Humanity has not changed. It always wants to work for God to gain his love and approval 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD , THAT YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT . End of discussion! The greatest work that any man can ever work is to believe in Jesus. No other work you do after this work either good or bad can improve or undo that initial work of believing on The Son of God 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. That's God's only commandment to man :Believe on the name of the Son of God. Loving one another is an outward manifestation of believing in Jesus and receiving his love Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Eternal life is not something I get when I get to heaven. Eternal life is my present tense possession because I know God and Jesus Christ his Son. I do not attain unto eternal life after I have struggled to live a holy life and was able to confess all my sins before I die or before the rapture. There is not a single scripture for that myth. Eternal life is what it is : Eternal. It doesn't end. It's a timeless life. Eternal life is a gift from eternity and nothing that happens in the realm of time can ever affect it. It can neither be depleted or destroyed by sin nor made stronger by my own righteousness. |
Kudos to Akwa Ibom government. But does Nigeria government forbid storey building in their hospitals and schools?? |
XXXXTENTACION:You seem to know the problem. But your solution is far fetched. Do you know how much government spend on fuel subsidy yearly? Over 140 billion every year. If they minus that from the money they're borrowing, how much will be left? |
A Bible teaching is not deep because it is full of mysteries but because it's simple. Neither is a Bible teacher deep because he speaks a lot of mysteries but because he is simple and thorough in his explanations The true depth is in simplicity When a teaching is very simple and revelatory then we can say that it is truly deep. |
XXXXTENTACION:It seems you do not know how greatly depleted our revenue is. As at now, FG cannot keep paying for light and fuel subsidy, pay salaries and still build infrastructure with their current earnings without borrowing.. And even the tax, you're talking of, if FG really tax us most of us will still complain. The thing I'm really angry at FG with is that, they're want to generate more revenue from us without reducing their unnecessary spendings.. |
Salvation cannot be found in any other name apart from the name of Jesus (His sacrifice for sin). God's love for humanity is demonstrated in Christ and the price that He paid for our sins. It is foolishness to think that humanism or philanthropy is the love of God or the way to God Christ is the only way to God. Not humanism, social activism or philanthropy. The best and kindest men who reject God's offer of salvation in Christ and cling to their own good works will perish in hell and non of their good works would be able to save them Christ Jesus is the Love of God clearly demonstrated. Not Oprah Winfrey, not Bill Gates and not any other name known to man. The one who treats the sacrifice of Jesus as nothing but resorts to humanism and philanthropy will receive in himself eternal damnation Jesus alone is the way to salvation. If you do not believe that then you are not a Christian, you are not of God and you have not his life in you. It doesn't matter the approval that your filthy opinion gets in the world. It holds no water before God Selah |
XXXXTENTACION:Wow. You mean the government should borrow to pay subsidy? Then how would the get money to build the road, railway and infrastructure they're building now? |
XXXXTENTACION:If they borrow to pay for subsidy, how would they get the money to build the road, railway and other infrastructure they're building..?? |
XXXXTENTACION:I understand your pain sir as it affects us all. But what do you think should have been done now that our revenue has been greatly depleted and the government can't sustain subsidy? Would you prefer if the government use the borrowed money to pay for subsidy? |
If most people followed their dream they'd have become the President |
alBHAGDADI:Taking precautions against diseases doesn't make him afraid of death. |
Whatever you see or do when awake and have no problem with, you shouldn't have a problem seeing or doing it in the dream too. Simple! If you don't have a problem swimming, eating, drinking, flying in real life, why are you suddenly bothered by any of these when you do them in your dreams? Why should seeing a common snake become a big deal when you see it in the dream whereas you see a snake when you are awake and you don't give any mysterious interpretation to it? Why should swimming or eating become a big deal in the dream when you eat and swim every day? Do you think you are going to die whenever you walk past where they sell caskets or whenever you see one in a burial? Why then do you now suddenly think or believe there is imminent death for you or a loved one when you see the same casket in your dream? And why can't you interpret seeing a casket or a burial in the dream to mean you're being reminded that you are the one who is to raise the dead? When you see yourself dead in the dream why can't you see it as a reminder that you are dead with Christ and buried together with him? Have you not been seeing that all over the scriptures? How come there's suddenly a problem now that you're having a vision of the same scriptures that you've been studying? A wise and mature believer doesn't go about seeking for interpretation or meaning to his dreams. He gives meaning to his dreams instead. He is both the dreamer and the interpreter of his dreams. And his interpretation must be submissive to knowledge of the written word You are not Pharaoh or Nebuchadnezzar who goes about seeking for interpretation for their dreams. You are not a heathen man You are a believer! No believer in the Bible ever had a dream and went around seeking for interpretation A believer should be able to subject every dream he has to the knowledge of Christ If you have a dream that seeks to exalt itself above the knowledge of Christ you are to take it captive and bring it to the obedience of Christ 2Cor 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Never accept as an interpretation for any dream that which brings fear, dread and anxiety There are no fixed meanings or interpretations to dreams. Those are things you only find in fables, superstition and traditions of men Stuff you only find in stupid dream books The believer has the mind of Christ. He determines what becomes of any dream, trance or vision People empower dreams that have no power by thinking on them and giving in to fear. I hope this meets you well Do let me know The grace of Jesus is with your spirit |
Do you think twice about picking up snails in reality? If not, then it shouldn't be a cause of concern if you do it in the dream.. God did not give you the spirit of fear. But of power and of sound mind. |
Sometimes its good to do the opposite of what others are doing.. As a lady, you could learn how to cut hair.. Or you could learn how to design men's clothes |
allthingsgood:This question is getting stale. Are all the Ghanaians that are getting 24/7 light billionaires?? Nigeria should first give us the 24/7 light first before saying if we can or cannot pay for it.. |
The fact that you didn't sit down and cross your legs on the table during your first turn shows you are actually a man of sense. In fact, you did the hardest part of the job, pounding yam meant for 20 men. I mean most of us here will choose cooking soup (assuming we are good at it) to pounding that much yam. But since you can't force her to help you in the cooking, tell her you will pay her if she help you cook. |

Leviticus 16:11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: 12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail: 13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not: Under the law, the priest was to take coals of fire off the altar with incense and make intersession for himself and for the people. It was an act of his intersesory duty. This(coals of fire) was also quoted again in Proverbs. Let's look at it. Prov 25v21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: 22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee When this action was done by the priest under the law, it was put on the mercy seat before the Lord, not as an act of revenge or to do harm, but to bring in mercy and stay death and harm away. Now, let's go to Romans where it was quoted directly again and let's see the context Romans 12v17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. The text is talking about forgiveness and not recompensing evil for evil. That is, don't pay people evil for the evil that they do to you. Talks about striving to live at peace with all men, not avenging yourself but rather leaving vengeance for God. We are to let God repay. But how did God repay us for our sins and evil? He took upon himself the punishment for our sins. Meaning God's vengeance was and is forgiveness and mercy. Verse 20 now begins with "Therefore", meaning it draws its meaning from the previous text which talks about God's vengeance which is forgiveness and mercy. Paul couldn't have asked that we shouldn't repay evil for evil and then in the same vain ask that we repay evil for evil by heaping coals of fire on the person we just fed to show love for the evil done to us. It doesn't follow. And just in case you missed what he said in verse 20, which was a figure of speech, he comes again in verse 21 and says Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. To repay evil for evil would be to take vengeance into your own hands and take heaping coals of fire as literal. Rather, Paul explains heaping coals of fire upon your enemy's head as overcoming evil with good. What is the good? Forgiveness and mercy. We do not bless people so that wrath can come upon them. the love of God causes us to actively forego the fleshly desire for vengeance. The Word teaches us to never repay evil with evil. There is no other way to say this - don’t! We don't do good to those who hate us in order that they might die or be disgraced. It is the Lord’s will that we overcome evil with good. Let's see how Jesus puts this Matt 5v43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust He says not to repay evil for evil, but rather to bless them that curse you and do good to them who hate you and use you, so that you can be examples of your father which is in heaven because that's what He does, that's who He is. He is kind to the unthankful and the evil. Quoted again in the book of Luke. Luke 6v27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful The “coals of fire on his head” as used by Paul is figurative language to mean by feeding our enemy and doing them good we incite their conscience to recognize the love of God in our forgive for their evil done to us. This so clear that it's so difficult to miss. It'll take some level of great dishonesty for anyone to teach otherwise. We are to be imitators of God as dear children and to walk in love and not be vindictive Ephesians 5 1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. I hope this is clear? You are blessed! |
B3ACHSIDE:I might be wrong but don't you think it would be better to build some of these things first then tax or bill the people for them later? At least then people would not have an excuse not to pay. People would be less unwilling to pay for what they enjoy. Imagine government telling people that they should pay for toll gates before building the road or bridge.. In my opinion, I think the government should build the things first before taxing or billing us. |
Rossinky:600 billion dollars peanuts? How much does it cost to build a refinery? How much does it cost to build turbines? How much does it cost to build world class hospitals? How much does it cost to build a steel industry? How much does it cost to build industries? How much does it cost to construct durable roads, bridges and railways? If 600 billion dollars is too small for all these, then how much is enough? If 600 billion dollars is too small for infrastructure, the even 5 trillion dollars will be too small.. |
While I agree with everything you said, the effect of corruption still cannot be over emphasised enough.. I can't remember which body said some time last week that Nigeria politicians have looted about 600 billion dollars from 1960 till date. If 600 billion dollars was used for infrastructure, Nigeria will be competing with the west.. |
