It happened back then when I was in boarding school ( secondary school).

I didn’t know my closest friends were against me getting the Senior Prefect post. It was later I realized that they even voted against me.

But people I barely knew in the school, both older and younger voted for me. We were two finalists.

The other guys parents were royalty. His father is one of the prominent kings in Aba. I never had much. I couldn’t even bother my mom too much then. My dad was late and she shouldered all the responsibilities of raising 5 of us.

But I won.
I was made the SP and that was when jealousy started.
Barely 1 week into my new post. I came back one day and went to drink a cup of water from my roommates bucket of water. You need to see the way this guy insulted me

“How my mother should take me to a community school if she can’t afford this private school “
“How this school is not meant for poor people lol”
“How his parents are working hard to make him very comfortable in school” etc etc
I just stood there looking at him.

There was no money to buy satchel water so I had to trek into the forest to fetch water.



It was after I got that post I knew those who really liked me.

Imagine what you experienced for ordinary senior perfect. Now imagine what will happen when you enter politics..

Tinubu on being insulted!

OK, last I heard LASU aren't on strike, I'm sure they didn't join because their lecturers are well catered for and they probably have a huge developmental plan based on the money donated. This should be encouraged and all schools should have a kind of fund raiser.
Let it not just be a one off thing, it should be a tradition.

Billionaires and millionaires should be encouraged to donate to schools. Especially their alma mata and shows in their states.

Good one. But education needs to move on from exclusive government funding. Let it be an openly funded enterprise where school can receive government donations and private donations as well. Wealthy alumni and philanthropist should be encourage to donate as this is the only solution to escape the constant ASUU/lecturers brouhaha.

As a case, study visit Abeokuta Grammar School and compare it with other Grammar schools that wait for government intervention to develop the school and you'll see a massive difference.

Every Nigerian student want to japa to abroad via scholarship, do you think those scholarship are solely funded by their government? NO!

Tinubu donated a billion naira earlier this year to LASU. I don't think it's against the law for an individual to donate to a university.
Even Dangote donated to ABU last year.

So if an ordinary citizen like Tinubu (or a Governor like Sanwo Olu) can order the Nigerian Armed Forces to kill people, then how come can Peter Obi, the Chief Security Officer of his State then not be able to order ordinary olokpas to kill people and throw their bodies in the Ezu river?

Right from the days of Awolowo and Zik, the Igbos and Yorubas have been at loggerheads with each other.
The are the real problem of Southern Nigeria. If only those two tribes can unite, things will be better for the South.

It's funny how of the four main Presidential candidates, the two most attacked are the two Southerners. And the attack are mostly done by the supporters of either of them.

The supporters of Kwankwaso and the supporters of Atiku, are not smearing one candidate against each other.

The One Nigerianists that have been against Ekpa would now be his supporters while the Igbos that have been supporting this guy ever since would start condemning him.
