chaseblack: OK, last I heard LASU aren't on strike, I'm sure they didn't join because their lecturers are well catered for and they probably have a huge developmental plan based on the money donated. This should be encouraged and all schools should have a kind of fund raiser. Let it not just be a one off thing, it should be a tradition. Billionaires and millionaires should be encouraged to donate to schools. Especially their alma mata and shows in their states. |
Education › Re: LASU Gets NUC Full Accreditation For 31 Courses by Perfectbeing(m): 1:53pm On Jun 13, 2022 |
chaseblack: Good one. But education needs to move on from exclusive government funding. Let it be an openly funded enterprise where school can receive government donations and private donations as well. Wealthy alumni and philanthropist should be encourage to donate as this is the only solution to escape the constant ASUU/lecturers brouhaha.
As a case, study visit Abeokuta Grammar School and compare it with other Grammar schools that wait for government intervention to develop the school and you'll see a massive difference.
Every Nigerian student want to japa to abroad via scholarship, do you think those scholarship are solely funded by their government? NO! Tinubu donated a billion naira earlier this year to LASU. I don't think it's against the law for an individual to donate to a university. Even Dangote donated to ABU last year. |

I'm sure you heard one or two people saying Tinubu ordered the killings but you never tried to explain things to them that even a Governor doesn't have that power let alone and ordinary citizen like Tinubu |

Penguin2: It simply shows that Peter Obi has zero tolerance for nefarious elements, thuggery and armed robbers.
You saying he should have let Anambra be taken over by touts like Lagos? So why were you guys complaining when Wike ordered the police to kill IPOBs in his State? So Wike doesn't have to right not to tolerate nefarious elements, thuggery and armed robbers but Peter Obi does? |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Was Anambra Governor During Awkuzu SARS Killing Igbos by Perfectbeing(m): 12:10pm On Jun 13, 2022 |
PresidObi: Police takes their orders from the IGP, army takes their orders from the COAS.
Governors are bystanders when it comes to security in their states.
They just read security reports prepared by the police and army just like everyone else. But for some reason best known to you, you believe that Tinubu or Sanwo Olu ordered soldiers to kill people in Lekki till gate. So if an ordinary citizen like Tinubu (or a Governor like Sanwo Olu) can order the Nigerian Armed Forces to kill people, then how come can Peter Obi, the Chief Security Officer of his State then not be able to order ordinary olokpas to kill people and throw their bodies in the Ezu river? |

The are the real problem of Southern Nigeria. If only those two tribes can unite, things will be better for the South. |

The way Nigerians clamour for power to be rotated based on tribe or north or south. Why don't they clamour to have a Christian leader rule for once. Have we ever had an Ogboni leader? Or an Ayelala leader? Or an Amadioha leader or an Ogun leader? All of them contest and let who wins becomes the leader. A pastor got 0 votes in the APC primaries. Meanwhile, the national leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has denied reports credited to it in some media describing the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate in the coming 2023 general election as a national calamity.
Children of hate and cancer, my correct people, who are not bitter and hateful like you have denied you once again. To tell you that you are on your own and floating.
Let me assure you once again that Tinubu won't have a problem picking a running mate that will win him the ticket.

TheFacelessMan: Tinubu should take a strong Muslim Northerner as VP - Zulum or El Rufai, the former, less controversial hence more preferable. He will definitely win that way.
The only move PDP can use to counter this is a SW Christian VP. But there is no formidable SW politician in the party.
Mark these words, SE will NEVER be united behind Obi. I am 90% sure he would barely win Anambra, not to talk of 5 SE States. He will lose the rest.
Atiku needs not court SS and SE, they are forever devoted to PDP.
Otherwise, Atiku will be mercilessly flogged by Tinubu. I would prefer Zulum. But he has stated before that he prefer to build his State than to be VP |

Whiteangel1234: The Nigeria state is position to make it impossible for an Igbo man to make any meaningful development on his own unless he kneel and get the consensus of other regions
We have lowest local government hence why we have lowest delegates in every primary election
We have lowest states hence in house of rep and Senate we are minority and cannot push for any meaningful legislative It is not about the number of delegates. SW has 411 delegtes but Tinubu got 1271 votes. Where did the remaining 860 votes come from? Is it not from other regions? From what we saw last night, even if the SW has Zero candidates, Tinubu would have still won. So stop using the number of delegates as a reason why the Igbos didn't win. |
