Politics › Re: Igbos Should Start Telling Themselves Truth by Perfectbeing(m): 8:31pm On Jun 08, 2022 |
Vertraulichkeit: You and your likes don't get it. Igbos don't play politics of tribalism like other tribes, especially the South Westerns do. And the Igbos request for power isn't based on tribalism but natural justice. The natural justice in this regard is expected to be granted by other zones before the primary election proper, which didn't happen, and that is why the aspirants from the zone did not get good or block votes from the delegates. There is no need to waste a vote that cannot guarantee a winning when it can be used to support a winner or someone with more potential of winning.
The earlier you all accept that the Igbos are politically victimized for obvious reasons the better.
And yes, power is given and not taken in a clime like Nigeria which is the reason why the Northerns in APC have given the Southerns the opportunity.
Before you say that Igbos are emotional, remember that no Igbo man has exhibited the kind of emotion BAT exhibited at Ogun State, and rightly so, when he felt he was being denied his right.
Until the majority of the Nigerian power brokers decide to cede power to the Igbos, they won't get it no matter how hard the politicians try. In summary, the inability of the Igbos to clinch federal power has nothing to do with them being ignorant about how to play good politics.
I, OUK, and everyone in our camp saw it all before the primary election proper, which is the reason we took the stand we took, and we have no regrets. That's not true.. If only the Igbos can stop their politics of hate, they can definitely clinch power. Go to Facebook and Twitter and see your brothers and sisters insulting everybody that supports another candidate.. You'd be forced to say, how will insulting someone make them see things from your point of view? The way they insult people will even make some people vote for someone they know fully well is not competent just to spite them. No matter how bad Atiku and Tinubu (and even Buhari) is, you guys must understand that some people won't see them as bad people.. Kanu Nwakwo will never see Tinubu as a bad person cos when he wanted donations for his heart foundation, Tinubu (along with 3 other governors) were the only Governors that donated. But I know, Kanu will be an outcast to the Igbos if he ever tweet something good about Tinubu. How do you expect other tribes to see you? When APC was formed, Tinubu and the Yorubas was one of the most useful Southern instruments that put them in power. The Igbos called the APC a Fulani party and voted against it. The few Igbo politicians that entered APC were seen as the devils by the rest of their people. They gave the APC only 5% of their votes.. So do you now expect the APC, to sideline the Yorubas that voted them and give their Ticket to David Umahi just cos they want to be fare to the Igbos? Wouldn't that be injustice to the Yorubas? Wouldn't that be a case of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop? You guys should learn to shun bitter politics. |

OfoIgbo: Igbos have been wasting votes on idiots who don't repay since 1999.
This time around, we will be wasting our votes on our own brother. That will reduce our regrets.
Followed by the fact that he is the only major Christian candidate in the coming election But how come you guys didn't waste your votes on Ojukwu when he contested for Presidential election? |

kettykings: What an achievement, what do you now expect from governors who turned largely rural towns into metropolitan cities, created aviation hubs , floated airlines , turned their citizens into super enterprenuers. As I always said previously , no big deal increasing the taxes of existing business who don't have alternatives to relocate because of the lopsided federal structure. Creating low skilled extortionist jobs like Lastma, Lawma and the predatory KIA now called LSBNC and the parasitic NURTW living off motorists and commercial drivers. You can say anything so you can sleep at night.. So what did Peter Obi do that Tinubu didn't do? From their time as Governors what achievement does PO have over Tinubu? |

Imagine US with all their CCTVs and well equipped police and laws finding it hard to stop gun related crimes. A place like the US would have caught those people that massacred people in the church in Owo cos they are systems in place for such occurrence. But here in Nigeria, with no CCTV such things can be happening everyday and the police will have no idea on who the culprits are.
For those saying that criminals will think twice before attacking you if they know you have a gun.. Imagine if you're are criminal yourself and you know your neighbor have a gun and you want to rob or kill him, what are the chances that you won't succeed if you use the element of surprise?? Imagine you robbing your next door neighbor right now and he doesn't have the faintest idea of what you want to do. Even with his gun, you still have the upper hand.. |

mrvitalis: South is not divided just greedy ...a simple zoning agreement can't even be respected and you want to blame the north ?
Yorubas and south south are to be blamed
If southern governors had insisted that it's the turn of south east who born north
Atiku even offered to step down if it was zoned to south east but wike said no ...stop blaming north
Blame south south and south west politicians This is one problem I have with the Igbos. The fact that they never agree to a fault.. To them, out of the over 250 tribes in Nigeria, they are the only ones not at fault.. They forget it was one of them who stopped Awolowo's mandate to insert a secession clause in the constitution. They forget they were the first ethnic group to cause a coup. They forget they were the first people to wage war on an ethnic group and forced them back into one Nigeria. They forget that in the history of the country's election, they are the only none Northerners that have supported the North more times than others. They are the good people in the story and everyone else is the bad person. |

Your Okada competition are illiterates from Niger republic. Anybody can ride a bike. Not everyone can repair an iPhone 11 Pro. Soon you can start selling phones too then laptops and have a big gadget stores. Many people ride okada for years with nothing to show. Think about the stress. 400 kilometers for 100 naira. You’ll do it 100 times before you make 10k. And you’ll buy fuel. You can make 10k on just one repair. Wise up. Do you know what 400 km is? The distance between Lagos to Abuja is just a little above 500 km o. Small small with your exaggeration biko |
Politics › Re: Osinbajo Stops To Help An Accident Victim On His Way To Owo by Perfectbeing(m): 1:30pm On Jun 06, 2022 |
Seun: Citizens can cope with adversity if they can see that their leaders are doing their best to deal with the situation and they are kept informed. Some of the greatest presidents of history achieved their popularity during times of war. Look at Zelenskyy. His approval rating is so high despite the fact that people are dying everyday because Ukrainians can see that he's doing everything that can be done. The reason GEJ was kicked out in 2015 is that he didn't really seem to care about Boko Haram. He didn't demonstrate that he was determined to defeat them. America refused to sell us weapons over human rights violations and instead of complying with their demands, he was making excuses.
Look at Soludo. He is doing everything possible to tackle the unknown gunmen. He went to Abuja to meet Kanu just for the sake of peace. You think if what happened in Owo happened straight 3 days, any President won't feel the heat? What is happening in Ukraine is a different thing entirely. It is an external aggression from a superpower.. What is happening in Nigeria is an internal aggression.. And many people won't be able to take it. |
Politics › Re: Osinbajo Stops To Help An Accident Victim On His Way To Owo by Perfectbeing(m): 1:10pm On Jun 06, 2022 |
I wonder why some people are still wanting to be President of this country.. If I was an aspirant, I would have withdrawn from the race yesterday after what happened in Owo. I nor fit.
No matter the person that becomes the President, he won't be able to do anything significant in at least 3 months. And that 3 months is enough for everyone to judge you as a failure. Imagine in your first one week as President there's 5 different attack like the one in Owo in 5 different states. How would you be able to explain to the people that you just got to office that you're not fully settled to really do your work..
You will flop big time.. I just pity someone like Peter Obi that doesn't have that much dent in his image. Nigeria Presidency will turn him to a big flop.. You think he'll be able to do anything meaningful in his first one year? |

Politics › Re: Give 10 Ways With Which Labour Party Can Win Votes In North And Win 300$ Dollar by Perfectbeing(m): 5:30pm On Jun 04, 2022 |
Ofunaofu: 1.First and foremost, while the north is considered the largest in terms of voting strength, we don't need to only focus on the north alone, every region is very important in the scheme of things as we March towards the general election. The labour party should give priority to every region. e get why
2. The labour party needs to shop for a core Northerner most especially from the north west to pair with Peter Obi as it's vice Presidential candidate.
3. The party should have a presence in every ward not just in the north but the whole Nigeria
4. Engage in aggressive membership drive across all the wards, local government areas and States of the federation Get the Nigeria workers involved, NLC, TUC etc if need be
5. Have candidates for every elective Post during this general election
6. Engage in massive radio and TV jingles most especially in local languages about the manifestos of the party and it's candidate for various elective Post, send SMS using the various phone line networks
7.Build bridges and form alliance across the six geopolitical zones and other less popular political parties
8. Reach out to other aggrieved members of other political parties, make concessions if need be.
9. While we agree that there is no polling unit on social Media, the role of social Media can not be underestimated in the fourth coming general election. The social Media should be aggressively use to inform the public about the party manifestos and the capacity of its candidates to deliver on yearnings of the populace.
10. Get the celebrities/youths in the north, south, east and west involved and encourage them to get their PVC. All Obi rivals in the North need do is to show the illiterate Northerners images of the Mosque been destroyed in the East and tell the Northerners that Peter Obi will destroy all the Mosque if he becomes President.. The insult Nnamdi Kanu has insulted the North and the SW is enough to smear PO chances of winning those regions. |
