The thing is that the Nigerian military need to start owning up so as to regain the trust of their citizens. See the way the US value their own servicemen. once you identify as one in the airport or other public places, automatic preferential treatment. But in Nigeria, any respect people have for them is just coded fear and hatred. The Airforce is beginning to get things right a bit. They're the Nigerian service branch i love most. The army are still being openly stupid at times. The other day i saw them forcing citizens to sing, while it looked funny, it was still a subtle way of being brutal, yet nothing was said about it.
So long as our military is heavily tied to the destructive nature of our politics, we shouldn't expect drastic change anytime soon.

Pls, don't tribalise the incident. These are misguided youths who decided to become a thorn in the flesh of the society.

Their kind will raze down property in Lagos, Aba, Akure, Kaduna, Port Harcourt or anywhere else in the name of protest.

These are Children Of Anarchy. Every society has their kind.

But when elections come they line up behind the broom and the umbrella

The sad thing about nigerians is that we have been hearing about how nigerians are suffering underthis democratic dispensation, yet when offered a chance to throw out the elites, they take their 500 naira and vote for the same old same old.

And how does s burning down police stations bring about change, other than to attraxt the harsh arm of the same oppreasors?

Go and form a party that will kick out apc. Do the hard work please. For our sakes
You couldn't have said it any better. The youths should get their PVC ready. Join or create parties that share your ideology.
Resist the temptations of taking cash from votes from these oppressors. Defend your vote. Fight for the electoral bill to be passed.

Your PVC and your phone is your tool to resist the oppressors. It was done in Edo. It can be replicated all over the country.

The country belongs to all of us and not politicians alone
PoliticsRe: #ENDSARS: Is This The End Of The Protests? by persius555(m): 8:51am On Oct 23, 2020
Hoodlums who watched from the sidelines hijacked the cause at the critical time. Government erred, manipulated and schemed to remain in power but are these hoodlums any better than the government that oppresses?

Did anyone notice that only BRT buses and private buses were torched while none or very few of the danfo buses were damaged. These thugs outsmarted the EndSars protesters. These thugs disguise as commercial transport workers and are ready to hike transport fare at the slightest provocation.

The same thugs are the instrument of oppression that are paid by the politicians to hijack ballot papers and disrupt elections.

Ultimately, it is the general masses that will suffer the consequences.

RIP to all the fallen angels

The prolong silence on the part of the government on this attack (lekki toll gate) is only helping establish mistrust.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by persius555(m): 6:55am On Oct 22, 2020
The lekki toll gate massacre was carried out to set Lagos on fire and not to end the EndSARS protest. The objective has been achieved.

As fewer as thirty armed soldiers couldn't have been a solution to end a protest. The hands behind that shooting now remains a mystery even on this thread.

The core of the EndSARS protest in Lagos is the Alausa secretariat and Lekki toll gate. The former was initially dispersed with the use of thugs and the protesters regrouped and put in place private security to deter thug attack.

Why use armed men to disperse the lekki toll gate? Who ordered this attack?
PoliticsRe: End SARS : Stampede as Enugu Protesters Move Round The whole City [Live Videos] by persius555(m): 8:13pm On Oct 21, 2020
It's time we put an end to this anarchy. EndSARS would not be forgotten in the history of Nigeria. It now has a birth place in our nationhood.

It's unfortunate that the price we paid is the souls of our young ones. We must make every live sacrificed on these days count henceforth.

Let the youths come together with one voice. Chart a new course that cannot be derailed by a rogue generation that have refused to be accountable all these years.

In our midst are enemies (Judas) who will sell their future for a plate of porridge. These are the real enemies. The ones who would sell out and ensure the way forward is delayed and totally compromised.

Taking up arms against the state is not the way forward. Let us storm the political scene with renewed vigour and hope. Let us chorus together in a manner that will send shivers down the spine of these political contractors who have continued to shift the goal post for so long.
Be rest assured that these elements will expect a disunited Nigerian youth generation emerging from this turmoil. This is where they derive their strength and joy.

The antidote is a united front that cannot be divided and conquered. One that speaks with one voice for equity and justice. All of this is what the rogue generation has derailed from. Guns and sticks will not help birth a better nation.
What guns and fury could not achieve can be done by speaking with one United voice.

These days fury was borne out of anger and frustration.
It's time to make the sacrifices made by the fallen angels count for good. Now, we know our enemies weakness and strong point. It's time to engage them in a game they thought they are masters.

Let us get involved in the running of this nation at all spheres and level. Let us dictate the tune with our numbers. Let us show them we are the digital generation. A generation that can not be toyed with. A generation of creative and crazy youths and not lazy youths.

It is time to get involved. No more sitting on the fence. No more trading of blames. Let us put our acts together and build a nation that they don't see.

It is time to birth a prosperous nation that our children will be proud of.

Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by persius555(m): 12:50am On Oct 21, 2020
I kept wishing the soldiers had approached the protesters and pleaded for caution in return for security cover during the night and in the morning some chick among the protesters would drop their numbers for some of the soldiers.
In the morning, soldiers would help the DJ pack his instruments. Riot police would redtape the parade ground and kindly ask the protesters to give it a break as a result of the curfew that's already in place..

Wishful thinking. As usual, we have bundled another opportunit because of ego on all the sides.
Every time the police put the entire country in a mess, we resort to bringing the army to save the day.

I'm tired of seeing the Nigerian military engaging fellow Nigerians in gun duel. I long for the day the military would be deployed to fight off an invading army.

I'm tired of seeing the Nigerian military deploy our assets to fight off internal insurgency and uprising. Why can't the political system make the NPF work for it's citizens?

We are in this thing together.

The protesters should have left the moment the governor declared a curfew. When a government declares a curfew and the people resisted, that government Is as good as dead and invitation to anarchy. They have been tolerated enough for 13 days non-stop. Sanwo-Olu has tried. He declared the curfew as a last option
Are u aware that the goal (curfew) has been shifted to 9pm?

The Turkish UAV'S are already ahead of the game using electronic counter measures to jam Russian radar and give themselves near stealth capability.

Why couldn't the Russians shoot down the Turkish UAV's in Syria in any impactful numbers.
The Pantsir-S1 radar system are pretty much outdated and by design were limited in distance coverage. The upgraded Pantsir-S1M and other versions have better coverage and capability.

Between Libya and Syria, almost 15 turkish Bayraktar TB2 were destroyed. A lot of research and investments are going both ways

relatively cheap kamakaze UAVs used by the azeris destroying Armenian military vehicles, probing and attacking Armenian defensive (or offensive) positions, the end of manned aircrafts and an era one would say?
I doubt this. The use of Radio Wave energy for operation by UAVs remains a huge disadvantage. Portable SDRs (Software Defined Radios) powered military equipment are in advanced research stage. They will help lay waste to UAVs in future warfare.
