Some guys are just useless. I can bet a percentage of them are married and wont drop 4,000 naira for household upkeep. |
DrChukzy:That performance was just another flash in the pan. Mikel's problem has to do with consistency. Expect a lacklustre performance soon. Though, i wish he would seriously up his game. On a good day, mikel is a joy to watch. |
Love Machine:These are the grey sides of the BRF's elitist approach to solving issues that affects millions of lagosians. The shops should have been made affordable so that the former tenants could easily retain them. Another investment gone down the drain. |
I hate it when companies make gadgets and restrict what you can do with the devices. Apple end users are too dumb to aspire to do more. |
To every NA special force personnel out there in the front, put a 6.5mm ammo through the throat of a BH rodent out there. For this kid. Every BH rodent goes to hell. |
Finally, some governors are coming to terms with reality as it has to do with dwindling state funds and crude oil price. Crude oil is a curse, i pray crude oil dips as low as 20 dollar bpb so we can look inwards and begin the greatest industrial revolution in africa. |
slimzypink:Better to be dunb than stupid. |
darkid1:Most likely, those belt were made here in nigeria.Early this year, i saw this exact kind of belt on aljazeera news. The iraqi military intelligence sieze large numbers of them after carrying out a sucessful raid on terrorist hideouts in a location in the market. Then, i thought of bringing it to the notice of nigerian security intelligence, but it skipped my mind. There is no doubt that BH is working closely with foreign collaborators. We need to reach out to countries with experience in tackling this king of sectarian warfare. |
temitemi1:Nigerians, always looking for someone to stick the blame on. Fine, the minister made a blunder by announcing the defeat of BH too hurriedly, but then statement or no statement the attacks are bound to escalate. Attacks will be foiled and some will eventually happen. This idea of blaming the tragic incident all on someone just to make the govt look bad is just not helping matters. The authorities are trying their best to put a stop to these attacks and all some of us can do is to wait anxiously for the next attack and the next seconds, jump onto social media an start apportioning blame. Sometimes, i wonder if some of us dont ponder if our comments online is what motivates these devils to carry out more attacks. Innocent souls have been lost and the best we can do is to collectively condemn these acts and express our deepest sympathy to loved ones and relatives. |
likila:wonderful analysis with the geophone tech. But with a pipeline network that runs over 1,000 kilometres covering swamps and mangrove vegetation, the technology will be (1)expensive (2) easily exploited overtime after carefully studying the vulnerabilities. In canada and alaska, they incorporate a technology that allows the networks to be fitted with softwares at about every 10km. The sofware allows graphical detecting any difference in the pressure gradient of oil flow through the pipelines. Any breach is detected at a monitoring station. Even this is expensive at the long run. For short term, the pipeline network should be plotted out, point of breach should be constantly marked out. There should be eyes in the sky monitoring areas of the pipelines with higher frequency of breach, day and night, let the security agents take it from there. |

Not a pessimist myself, but a realist. Morocco has the largest solar farm in the world, it generates just 504 MW. By 2020, it plans to build solar farms that would generate 2,000 MW at the cost of whooping 9 billion dollars. Solar power generation is the most expensive renewable energy source. This project is going to be financed by world bank and several other financial institutions. So, question is; where does our adorable minister intend to source the funds for this project from? Another attempt to tickle our emotions and fantasy. Not all nigerians live in dreamland. |
hackactigist:Individuals make a society. When you have upright individuals occupying sensitive positions in a society, the prayers become more effective. |
The truth is that 70 percent of the members of the NPF are one way or the other not mentally capable, in short, unfit to man the uniform they wear. Majority of them have no business been policemen. Right from the top cadre to the least, they all share similar trait. In a sane society, a good number of them will not even make traffic police officers. Recruitement is done un-proffesionally, training is awkward, to make matters worse, our justice system is filled with rogues and pen robbers who mount wigs to remind any criminal that their sacred judgement is for the highest bidder. Another reason why we should decentralise the NPF. I wonder who is next on their death list. RIP to the dead... |
Seun abeg, serve three crates of orijin for the CJTF for christmas washdown. As for the DSS, more evidence made available to you. I wonder what they have been doing with all the evidence gathered so far? |
Good to see this |
16 years of rot and recklesness and they are hitching to come back already. Na god go punish PDP. I rather call Labour Party and KOWA party to be on standby mode. |
This guy is the biggest scam that happened in ekiti. |
Thanks,Op. I just hope the minister of agriculture is reading this. We just need to be patriotic to a little extent in this country. God has definitely blessed our country with enormous natural endowment, but we are a people that find it hard to appreciate sweat. If the agric sector can emulate the huge transformation in the nigerian music industry. Years ago, you hardly hear our music in africa not to talk of outside the continent.Today, nigeria rules the africa music industry. We stand a good chance of providing employment for the huge youth population of this country and at the same time possess the ability to feed millions of nationals in foreign countries. We just need to have believe in ourselves as a nation and the world would marvel at the potential we can become. |
BRF, all eyes on you. |
May the 2016 budget favor me, my family and nigerians in general, IJN. Amen |
I need to get my hands on that game |
LesbianBoy:I keep wondering why a lot of nigerians becloud their sense of judge with partisan sentiment at the expense of the economy. The subsidy removal protest then was in many ways justified since crude oil price was still hovering between 80 dollars to above 100 dollars per barrel. The cost of producing a barrel was 30 dollars and the govt had upto 60 dollars left to share btw itself and its venture partners. Today, crude oil sells for as low as 38 dollars and still expected to fall further. We can hardly fund our budget because profit margin is as low as 8 dollars per barrel. The gap is so huge that if we continue to fund subsidy with the meagre we make from crude oil, its only a matter of time before the economy comes crashing down. Jagaban's call for removal of subsidy at this point in time is just the right thing to do economically. The money should be channeled into building our infrastructures like power, railway, highway, schools etc. These sectors will form a solid base for a diversified economy. A lot of nigerians opposed subsidy then because no one trusted the GEJ's pdp led govt. As at that time, other economies were increasing their foreign reserve while we were depleting it. Today, algeria has almost 100 billion dollars in its foreign reserve and a national debt profile of 5 billion dolars. Compare that to our own 29.5 billion dollars reserve and a debt profile of over 15 billion dollars. Who is responsible for this anomaly? Your guess is as good as mine. The two countries are monolithic based economies, algeria has a well developed infrastructural system.the same cannot be said of nigeria. We have a larger population which by all general economic index should be an advantage. |
Deadline or no deadline, the truth is the NA and its sister security agencies are doing really well to contain BH. When last was the group able to carry out sucide attacks? The attacks are not as frequent as they use to be. That shows that the people in charge are dilligently carrying out their duty. For once, nigerians should learn to respect and appreciate the efforts of our servicemen and public officials that make statements that would safeguard our lives. We dont always have to be on the mocking side. I might not be a fan of lai mohammed, but i think its thoughtful to issue warnings like this after intense gathering of intelligence. |
free2ryhme:A religious procession that mandates its followers to arm themselves with cutlass and arrows. It is just pure lawlesness and disrespect for the nigerian authority. Even in iran where the shiites claim to emanate from, you dare not barricade the highway against the authority in the name of religious procession. Would the heaven and the arch-angels have descended on the shiites if they had given the convoy the right to pass through? Definitely not. The incidence was just a show of force and power to prove whose authority supercedes the other, simple. Its a pity they lost such a large number of followers which no one is happy about. We just need to learn to respect the right of fellow nigerians and carry out our duty and responsibility in the manner that we do not constitute a nuisance to laws that govern our existence as a nation. RIP to the dead.. |
Segadem:Than u, bros. This mentality that has bedevilled the thinking of the ruling class makes our govt think without crude oil we cannot survive. The truth is that we will continue to suffer as a nation if we continue to depend on the monopolistic product that brought nothing but curse, laziness and un-employment to the more than 180 million nigerians. We seriously need to summon the national will and move our mentality from being a resource nation to a productive nation. Productive nations control the global economy while the resource nations are tied to their apron. GOOD LORD, WHEN WILL NIGERIA BE LED BY A LEADER WHO WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THE TRUE WEALTH OF THE NATION IS THE PEOPLE AND NOT THE NATURAL RESOURCES BENEATH ITS SOIL!!! |
Good to see our educational system leveraging on the use of technology to curb examination malpractise that has turned our students into lazy dullards. All sectors of the economy must embrace technology, especially mobile powered technologies to solve problems that plague us as nigerians. Good one, i hope the schools follow suit. Our education is becoming a mockery. |
Lucasbible:Of all commodities to be subsidizing, crude oil extracts should be out of the list. Why is a country with abuntant crude oil like ours spending nearly one quatre of its budget on pms, why not save the huge funds and build new refineries. |
otokx:We all know NLC doesnt care about the sufferings nigerians are going through even to buy PMS at 120 naira. NLC collaborates with oil marketers to perpetuate and share the proceeds of oil subsidy. Is it not the same NLC that has been divided in its leadership. Bunch of pretentious rogues. Subsidy is economic enslavement and it must go!!! |
Gradually, nigerians are losing faith in this government. They say one thing and do the opposite. |
Keneking:The so called oil tycoons in nigeria are nothing but "cheap economic beggars". I pray PMB removes the oil subsidy and you will see half of them running out of business. Our oil sector is bereft of innovative and dynamic ideas. Though, some indegenous companies are doing well onstream, until the sector is completely liberated from govt interventions aka subsidy, capacity will be low. As for hilcorp, they weathered the storm this years. The CEO is quite generous. |
This guy should simply be handed over to the people of bornu, yobe and adamawa who have bear the wrath of terrorists. While thousands were bombed to pieces and others matched to pieces, all this nazi-hearted traitor could think of is how to own mansions all over the world using funds that were meant for the military. If only this guy could be handed over to the military court for instant justice. The civil court is too smeared with corruption and injustice. Dasuki, wherever you are, the souls of the innocent would hunt your household and that of those you have shared this blood money with. |
