You shouldnt have sourced for proffesional advice on nairaland. Many are kill joys. Go on the streets, ask the everyday washman on the street(no matter how small)what the challenges are, do not present yourself as a CEO or something before setting out, look around you and see how you can offer a better service and find out what the present challenges are, get involve in the initial dirty laundry tasks, start with the low paying clienteles first(of course that might depend your choice of location, leverage on the internet and lastly your customer's satisfaction should not be ignored. Wish u the best.

At least, they are of better use than the layabout in the house of assembly that get billions monthly for doing next to nothing. Kudos to these men. And NEMA should stop saying they were first to arrive at the spot of incident.

This cycle - Jonathan forgives Yaradua, Yaradua
forgives Obasanjo, Obasanjo forgives Abubakar etc -
begets thievery. And it is Nigerians who pay
for it!
This is exactly why we have never had it good in this nation. A cycle of forgiveness in the mantle of leadership has never done us any good, as it will only encourage others to steal. Kukah and the likes of abdusalami are responsible for the hardship we have been going through for decades. There cannot be peace without justice. This fight for the betterment of our nation is going to be tough and long. I think its high time well meaning nigerians stand up and support the president, the students whose future is about to be truncated by these beasts in corridors of power, the poor market woman who toils hard 5am to 10pm but rips in penury, the average worker whose basic salary can hardly feed his family because of these demons. Nigerians should rise up and support PMB. Long live nigeria.

Our past leaders brought us this shame. The nigeria automobile industry started in the 70's when SA was still struggling with apertheid. Turn around, today our citizens long for visa in that same country. Nigerians, havent we yet to learn what damage corruption and tribal bigotry can do to a country. This thread calls for us to look back and see how retarded the country's growth has been. Nationwide sober reflection.

Take the sase up with the school authority. Try to angage the PTA and organise seminars with the students where they are educated about the danger of early exposure to pornography. Please learn to live with the risk inherent in technology. Your kid will surely outgrow it, but that depends on how you chose to handle it.

One thing is certain the Nigerian army will not retreat. Na d boko boys go suffer.
The BH vermins should neither be allowed to retreat, if they want to retreat, then hell should be their next destination. The whole war thing is complex, we really dont know the NA approach, how much resources in terms of personnel, drones, hot pursuit vehicles and intelligence to end this war. A country cannot afford to have smart terrorists running a ring around itself.
Politics › Re: Over 50 Killed In Borno Bomb Blast by persius555(m): 9:36pm On Aug 11, 2015
Terrorists are experts at psychological warfare. This will not distract our men on the front from hunting down BH vermins in the NE. The nigerian security agencies should not let their guard down. There is definitely a lot of re-strategizing by boko cells of late. They are trying to reduce ther frequency of their attack to minimise failure but hit hard and maim higher number of people in order to draw more public outcry.

We need to encourage our security agencies. This has become a war of intelligence gathering and psychic evaluation. The populace still remain the authourities best asset in this fight against terrorism. Citizens should be extra vigilant and give out informations that will help expose activities of boko haram.

PMB, please the whole world is a village in the time and age. Your every move is been noted by the entire world. There are certain former generals in this country who do not mean well against the crusade against corrption. Please, remain steadfast, we are fully in support of the crusade. The souls of the unborn generation whom these shameless, old criminals have condemned to life of poverty in absentia, cry out for justice out of fear for their future.
Politics › Re: Abdusalami Peace Committee In A Meeting With Buhari by persius555(m): 4:51pm On Aug 11, 2015
This is the reason why africa hasn't been able torid itself of acute administrative corruption. PMB's refusal to name and bring the looters to shame will only encourage others coming ahead to continue the looting. Corruption is like what poverty induced kwashiokor does to a healthy child. Stunted growth, acute malnutricion and eventually total collapse of the system.

Okonjo Iweala should be immediately arrested and tried in a law court and the money allegedly embezzled by her recovered for the nation 's development. She is a mega criminal who took advantage of Jonathan inexperience as a leader and perhaps foolishness and stole the nation crazy.
When Oshiomole brought her criminal records before Nigerians and the international community she is denying it and going personal against Oshiomole.

During Obasanjo government her incapability was discovered and she was thrown from the position of minister of finance to the minister of foreign affairs which she did not accept and decided to tender a resignation. But gullible and clueless Jonathan recycled her back to the ministry of finance as minister of finance. We Nigerians now know why she lost her ambition to become the world bank President. If she had succeeded in her quest she could have stole the world crazy and get Nigeria disgrace. Her carreer is over as she is no longer a trusted person

Exactly. That woman would have finished world bank and left us to face the global shame. Now, i believe god is a nigerian. That woman is a disgrace to womanhood, nigerian women should pelt her with eggs whenever she is seen in public.

And u call piece of shit a rail road. Do u know how much debt the country's unborn generation will be made to pay for taking that loan? This is the problem with nigerians. Some people just settle for less(poverty mentality). GEJ and Okonjo took a loan of over one billion dollar for a world class rail project, they turn around and invest a misely 200 million dollar on old coaches that are not fit for World War Two era transportation system and divert the rest, then you post disgraceful images to commend those thieves for a job well done. We have been settling for less in decades that is why our country of 170 million people can only generate 4,000 MW after spending over 20 billion dollars. Bad leadership will thrive when you have docile followership.

Nairaland General › Re: Poverty Mentality Of Nigerians And The Ripple Effect by persius555(m): 6:10pm On Aug 10, 2015
Nigerians really dont love nigeria to the point of sacrificing to make nigeria better. Whats with politicians flying the nigerian flag close to their party flag during elections only to jet out of the country to treat a catarrgh or prefer to have their spouses give birth in a foreign land as if to say ''nigeria is a cursed country'', having benefitted from the cursed country. Where is that nigerian who loves nigeria by heart? Who will die for the unity of the country and not for what he gains from the unity of the nation. The ordinary nigerian on the street is not any better, we all long for the day we would have our fair share of the national cake just like the politicians are making a filth of the common wealth. Where is that love for a sick nation like nigeria?
Celebrities › Re: Media Briefing Holding In Abuja For Majek Fashek....see Photos by persius555(m): 4:37pm On Aug 10, 2015
Lets face it. Majek Fashek is just fed up with life, but is too scared to end it. A lot of individuals have shown this guy love all over the country. Individuals have housed him, clothed him and even offered financial help, but he is just not ready to quit drugs. No one wants a liability, at least there is an extent to which one can endure or tolorate an addicts penchant for drugs.

I ran into Majek Fashek on the island at a very popular private hospital, i guess somebody must have checked him in(definitely at a huge cost going by the hospital reputation). Then, he would come out to make friends on the street and beg money to get marijuana. As it is, the great Majek Fashek has become a national project that could be saved, if not we might just be seeing another whitney houston case in the making.

I just hope prayers can save him.

APC as a party, nigerians are watching you. The same way we rejected PDP, we will do the same to you. All we ask for is good leadership with with a sense of accountability to the people that voted you in. As for PDP, nigerians have vowed that never again will your party that lacks vision and saddled by inept, callous, inconsiderate and selfish looters rule this country again. Its only a matter of time before dokpesi will decamp. PDP is a doomed party.

Get it into your thick skull....there is a huge difference btw militants and terrorists. Terrorists are not agitating for anything reasonable..... They've killed 13,000 Nigerians, they should not be spared.
Please tell me the difference between the two, one kills and the other one spares lives, right? We shouldn't let our emotions get the better of us and finally embrace the opportunity to bring an end to this war. If the only way to prevent further loss of hundreds of souls from perishing is to accept their renouncement, then so be it. Do you think i am happy for the souls lost so far, of course i also hate boko haram and its ideology as well as you do. As it stands, the Nigerian Army is at a winning stance to negotiate a disarmament of boko haram. If BH members renouncing will bring about peace, we should encourage it.

It does not make sense rejecting any move that will bring about peace because you are bent on having your own pond of flesh. Mind you, renouncement does not mean they would all go unpunished.

Former minister of agriculture should be recalled and retained.he helped revive the agricultural sector

My thoughts tho
Seconded. That guy is an agricultural genius. PMB should start with our university graduates. Those in the agric discipline, grant soft loans to those who have passion for agric, use technology to enhance the sector. Lastly and most importantly, keep the commercial banks and politicians far away from agricultural loans. Create micro agricultural banks that would be solely agriculture based in rural areas and local govts to aid subsistence farmers.

The authourities should make a show of these renouncement. This should be beamed on TV and radio station. At this point we shouldn't be talking of vengeance as this would discourage other foot soldiers from doing same, offcourse that is not what we want. Terrorists thrive by recruiting and forcefully conscripting civillians into their fold and totally brainwashing them. I believe there are thousands out there who havent participated in the killings and looting and would also be willing to lay down their arms. If asari dokubo and tompolo can lay down their arms and embrace peace, any agitator should.

Is this the only way Britain is paying for their crimes in Africa?.

All you guys have to do is leave Britain and come over to Africa and invest your monies.

HOW AFRICAN RESOURCES WAS SHARED AMONG EUROPEANS WITHOUT THE PRESENCE OF A SINGE AFRICAN NATION.

1. The Berlin conference 1884-1885 http://www.africason.com/2014/10/berlin-conference-of-1884-1885-to.html

2. The Berlin conference continued http://www.africason.com/2014/10/the-berlin-conference-how-greedy-europe.html
If you are trying to justify the con man's action by this 18th century cock and bull drama show off, then you need to get your psyche examined. FYI, the europeans have only suceeded in stripped africa of less than 10 percent of its natural resources. South Africa has built its beautiful economy on precious metals and coal, what has nigeria done with its own oil? We have literarilly looted and enriched other nations and you are here defending a criminal who has done more damage to our reputation abroad.
