I am sick of this 'govt will not provide good roads/schools if you dont pay tax' attitude many of us have on this forum, add value and the cash follows, the UK has a thriving tax system because these are working, in nigeria its the opposite.my thieving corrupt leaders want me to pay first BEFORE i see my utilities.NO thanks, i have said it before that nigerians will not hesitate to pay 50k a month power bill if it becomes steady 24 but asking them to bring that 50k before it becomes steady is damn near impossible. |
@akanbi, so lasu students should cough out $1500/annum for university education because in the uk it is expensive? Do you know that 1.tertiary education in the uk is an 'optional' requirement before your are economically empowered in the uk? 2.most british citizens cannot afford tertiary education even though they are required to pay 3 times less than foreign students 4.scholarships are widely available for those who want to go , incase you didnt get it my point is this, even in a wealthy nation like the uk,many british citizens cannot pay for standard education but you want a boy whose mother is a pepper seller to pay close to £1500(tuition +other expenses )for SUBSTANDARD EDUCATION.dont make me laugh. |
Lol @ 'not everyone is Happy' , i see there is really nothing your government has done so you hold on to private projects and make useless propaganda, PLEASE TELL US WHY YOUR TIN GOD IS TOLLING AN UNCOMPLETED SUB STANDARD ROAD WITHOUT ALTERNATIVE ROADS? Thanks in advance. |
Let me reinforce the question, WAS THE ' ALTERNATIVE ROUTE' THROUGH ONIRU ESTATE IN EXISTENCE AT THE TIME THE GOVT ADMITTED THERE WERE NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTES AND THAT THEY WOULD BUILD SOME BEFORE TOLLING STARTED? |

Thats the price we pay for corruption, odili awarded a major project like that to his kalabari croonies who misappropriated funds for a project that ll benefit their own people, its a pity really.if that highway had been completed, by now there would be no difference between PH and kalabari kingdom. |
@potut, my brother this is daylight robbery and they re to blind to see it, |
So, roads have now become luxury and should be paid for Abi? Na wa o! I know we have been left holding the short end of the stick by our leaders but it does not mean we should accept what we rightly deserve as a people as if its a favour or handout handed to us.i dont live in lekki or lagos for that matter but the manner in which the residents of lekki are complaining show they are seriously being shortchanged, one issue that bothers me is why there arent any flyovers on a six lane highway, it makes no sense especially when it appears to be the solution to the traffick bottlenecks on that road.the whole thing seriously appears fraudulent. |
coogar:thankfully not from lagos, |
@coo, i thought tolls were supposed to be paid on completed roads? , i hope you ll share the same sentiments when jonathan resumes toll on all fed. Highways? Lol, fashola and im boss don sell una finish remain change, by the way are you in the country? |
Story story, when mend bombed atlas cove, wetin happen?no be english we hear at the end? Abi them think say WAR na this their nonsense wey we dey watch for africa magic yoruba?lol, bunch a clowns, like someone said,by the time dem don comot agbada finish, dem go dey rest comfortably on top suya grill. |
Coogar, My friend, close your mouth and go and pay toll on your substandard road, lol @ comparing lagos to the uk.are you on hashish or something.your govt is ripping you off glaringly and you r here mouthing nonsense, |
@ eko, My friend stop whining, please tell me how much infrastructural difference lagos has witnessed from when it stopped being fc t till now bearing in mind your acn led govt has been in control 12 out of the 20years yet you are comparing to states that are building from scratch.dont make me laugh. |
Akwaibom and rivers dey expand roads + build fly overs up and down without toll yet lagos wey dey make excess cash in taxes dey tell story.i laugh in pidgin |
Fashola the smart crook, lol.you dey tax the whole world yet nothing to show.i even thought that road was constructed from scratch the way they were making noise about it? Kai tinubu don finish the place. |
The big deal is his well oiled propaganda machine, a friend of mine just got back from lagos recently and described the place as being akin to an ugly and dirty mad woman who has lots of makeup and jewels on, |
Noise makers! The swag sef no fit them, all for show.they should stop clowning and play the tribal politics they are known for.thats what they thrive on.war no be their field at all, lol, its like my mum going out in an apron with a kitchen knife to accost robbers when dad who is well armed is chilling. |
Lord have mercy, |
When the south west massively voted for the ACN, I wasnt too excited and i hammered it several times on this forum that even though the party of rogues was voted out, they shouldnt get too comfortable.in fact i was a little afraid.today, what do we have?we have a group of people trying so hard to justify their tinubu induced'ethnic based' voting that they do not care what their leaders dish out to them as long as its AC.noise, noise and more noise is what we hear from south west leaders these days.one is talkin about shipping food to lagos and all we see is his funny looking face on the pages of newspapers and i am afraid his plans will remain on those same pages.the other handsome one is a smooth talker and only harps on regional integrity and thats all.not much is heard from the one in late adedibus 'area'.a grand ripoff is going on in the south west and they just bloody too arrogant to admit it.well why should they?after all na ' them them' |
Its indeed funny how the story changes when the shoe is on the other foot, jokers!when orji share money na thief im be, when its fashola na im responsibility, lol, ,f**king circus penguins speaking out of both sides of their s*tholes. , |
Lol, yes fashola can do no wrong, we should be glad he only spent 46 million Abi? If this same thing was done by orji of abia these same cartoon characters go dey shout blue murder, ACN MY a, ss! Someone described this man aptly yesterday as a smart crook and mark my words, lagosians will realize it when he leaves office.as far as i am concerned no other governor comes close in terms of propaganda, he is number one. |
@lasinoh, clap for yourself, na because of people like you wey i been wan slaughter my suyaman yesterday night |
Gbawe:Gbawe, this is a good project and hopefully will make an impact but critics are saying that WE ARE EXACTLY BEING SHOWN WHAT THEY WANT US TO SEE, nigerian leaders are good at throwing FLASHY things in our faces(for purposes of commissioning) but when you actually use the service, you find out you are actually left holding the short end of the stick, In effect we are saying do not get too excited! |
Eko Ile: , but you follow dey pull down other governors wey dey do the same thing, then you come in here speaking english and trying to sound intelligent, Why did you post these pictures on a public forum if not to get a resounding applause for your TIN GOD , many of us have seen the pictures and we are saying lagosians deserve better, abeg comot for road. a personality like Gbawe can be thick headed at times but i rather engage in an arguement with him and i think you should spend sometime and learn UNDER him **geez, i dont know why i keep giving this guy the benefit of the doubt** |
Eko Ile:but you wanted the rest of us to start jumping up and down in unquantifiable joy just by looking at those same pictures but you dont want us to criticize by looking at the pictures too why do i even bother??, if you expect me to start comparing PH to lagos as regards healthcare, just forget it, |
Gbawe:FINE, i understand you perfectly, but i also do not think that its wise to conclude that this health centre is medically adequate just from pictures, abi no be so for me to come to that conclusion i must use the service there to judge. |
Bawss1:my man, let us stop this "half bread is better than full chin-chin" attitude we have as nigerians, NOBODY is saying that this hospital wont take deliveries/CS's but some other posters raised some vital issues, what of toilet facilities ? just because some of us do not get carried away with pictures of "equipment" makes us 'no -good' critics abi ??, So because you ve been hungry for a long time,i buy you buns(with your money by the way) when i can get you a good plate of jollof rice with salad, plantain ,chicken and juice, i should expect you to jubilate and hug me abi ? |
Where did you get that from Open wards are normal in any hospital recongnised, or no abroad or in africa Not all patients have disease problem or infection. Some might be due to to haemorrhage, cancer, heritage diseases etc and if them need to be admitted, then an open ward is suitable for them. and incase the doctor needs to do something private to them which requires them being private, then it is easy to just draw the curtain and do what ever.
really ?? , go to the national hospital in abuja.Thats probably the only hospital in nigeria that practices almost the ideal, YOU do not lump all patients together in an open ward, that is NOT STANDARD, Infact at the most 2 patients should be in a cubicle , and both of them must be deemed not to have ailments that can pose a threat to the other for instance lumping two patients with diabetic foot ulcers together would be a wise decision, |
ideally, its only the A&E of any hospital that should be open, WHY? because the priority in such wards is to save the patients life first.the question of transmission of infections is not the overriding concern, EVERY other ward ideally should not be open, I doubt the claim that hospitals abroad have open wards like one of the gentlemen above mentioned. What he probably meant was that patients were kept within the same space but with one patient partitioned from the other, |
When its lagos, the roof will come down, when its other governors they are labelled thieves, |
