Yes its absolutely wonderful to devote more money to capital projects while keeping your recurrent ex.at the barest minimum but it is NOT a rule.you cant tell me a state with a 60,40 ratio in favour of capital ex. will necessarily do better than another with that ratio in favour of recurrent ex especially with strict fiscal discipline.

Erm, sorry o! But how many of fasholas projects were advertised before he actually did them? The point is when leaders go out of their way to buy advert space in the dailies for projects, such projects begin and end on those dailies , i hope you understand your skepticism.

Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerian States Mostly One-city States? by phantom(m): 10:42am On Dec 18, 2011
Well, you do have a point but the way nonoil businesses are settling in PH now is crazy and probably explains why development in rivers is from PH outwards in a haphazard way instead of the more planned model of different towns developing SEPARATELY into cities and then merging like in the case of lagos.
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerian States Mostly One-city States? by phantom(m): 10:25am On Dec 18, 2011
@scholes , then how would you explain the emergence of urban centres in delta going by your 'no labour just oil' theory?
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerian States Mostly One-city States? by phantom(m): 9:26am On Dec 18, 2011
Afam, Are you saying that if development was to bridge together warri, asaba and ughelli, you would still refer to delta as a one city state?
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerian States Mostly One-city States? by phantom(m): 8:51am On Dec 18, 2011
You all must remember that in the case of rivers, 'portharcourt' as you know is composed of about 3 cities.the original PH is one third of its size today so in effect most people in PH live in 'greater PH', i know people who live in borokiri( old PH town) that have not visited rumuokoro(obio akpor) in 5years, that aside, bonny  is a thriving city on its own,Secondly, the surrounding rivers and lakes have restricted development to the upland,

Na now you know say na con dem con una? When the south west voted en masse for the acn i likened it to setting your house on fire to kill a rat (pdp), and these crooks called acn politicians were just waiting in the wings to take advantage of this, this is the result, but it should be resisted.

This man should just leave that seat, he's making a big fool of himself. With his promise to remove the subsidy, i wasnt too sure if he was confused. But with this gradual 'backdown', he has totally removed ALL doubt,   This is NOT the leader we need.
