Thing about this market is that, even the stock broking firms will be crying. The Daily traded volume is so low. Wonder how much commission they will be earning to take care of staff expenses and other cost. Retail traders are not the only ones affected.
Even the US market that has a trade war with China has bounced back. Next Level people, is this your govt? |

This market is in a bad shape, but above all, this govt some people foist on us is directly responsible for the direction of the market. We have an artifact as president. He knows nothing, sees nothing and does nothing. |

Why is the authority not going after the management and board of Japaul? Some companies are better delisted than allowed to remain on the NSE. |

Don't expect much from the NSE at least for the remaining part of the year. Nigeria is almost becoming a pariah state. The political and economic environment does not support investment. With EU and UN coming out to make damning report about the last election tells me the investing world may not be looking towards Nigeria.
Just brace up to the worst while expecting a miracle. |

Bomboclad: Focus on your circle of influence and ignore your circle of concern. While you complaining, people are making a kill from this market, whether it moves up or down. "Sharpen your saw" and focus, the key is right before you. Chief, i disagree with you on this. Which people are making a kill in the market? Aside MTN, which stock has rallied in the last 2months? Do you know how much loss people are sitting on. Talking about circle of influence, the larger macro economic environment determines if I make money on The NSE or not. So, I should be concerned about it. How much have you made from the market this year? A lot of us here are only here because our money is tied on the NSE and may be significant losses are staring us in the face, so we congregate to keep hope alive. |

The number one problem of the market today is this administration. Many people/investors don't want to do business in Nigeria.
The market may experience a longer lull. No catalyst. No investor friendly policy. No drive to make things better.
For Ghana to be attracting a higher FDI than Nigeria, tells it all.
How many days since after inauguration, no reasonable appointment has been made. And some one will sit somewhere and say Buhari is doing well. |

MTN is now available O. Don't say you didn't see it.
Meanwhile, NSE is perpetually bland. A different president would have brought spice to this market but we are stuck with Buhari for the next 4years. Any hope in sight? |

Chibuking81: Who on this platform has gotten even 1 unit of mtn share?. If no one has gotten, that means some serious illegality is going on, and both mtn , NSE, and SEC need to be sue to court. How can a stock be listed on the flour of NSE @#90, and for two consecutive trading section none of the ordinary shareholder participants has gotten one unit, and stock keep on closing on 10% on daily basis.
Manipulation is seriously going on, from today market experience shows that various companies CEOs are grabbing their units through back door, massive sale off was witness in Nestle, GTB, Zenith etc, even in the FCMB that has CSCL stockbroker as their subsidiary, offloaded heavily at #1.55 the last minutes of today trading, I believed that this has connection with getting money ready for Monday trading, I think since they are big stockbroking company they can easily get mtn stock on cross deal.
I place my buying order at about 9.40, and the order went through, but it didn't show in the bid line up, I placed another one and it didn't show also. When I refresh the bid box many times, I found out that nothing was added or removed, it appeared with the same figure from beginning to end of trading section, and my bid expired.
After they might have done pumping the price to their desired junction, they will look for whom to dump on. Anyway it's better we leave them, after they finish pumping the stock, they should also dump it on themselves. When they done selling to friends and cronies, they will make it available for us. Then, the gnashing of teeth will start |
