I pray everyone make it through the remaining few days of 2015 in one piece |
Thank you Seun. You have brought sanity back to Nairaland |
Is there actually 2 of this useless thread on the front page? |
This is grossly unhealthy |
What is this? Must they show everything they do on the internet? This is an eye sore to the lovely game of golf. If you are hellbent on displaying your golfing image to the world, at least play on a golf course with green teeing ground, green fairway and green putting green. |
Nice one bro..........Sacrificing 2.5 hrs of your time in Canada is a lot. I'm quite sure one of the reason(s) they could allow Mama for that long was because of her age. Is really subzero in Canada at this time of the year. I can't imagine what the old woman would have been through with the cold, inability to reach her daughter and possibility of returning back to Nigeria after the long long flight. Once again, Nice one bro |
All I'm here to say is Peace to everyone |
I wish I could see this thread on time cos comment outside the 1st page doesn't get as much outreach. My advice for your Op, is that you should go for engineering degree. Do not be limited to what is obtainable in Nigeria. As someone that had post secondary education in Nigeria before leaving over 3 yrs ago, you can never go wrong with an engineering degree. Nursing degree is great but no matter what, you will always be a second fiddle to doctors in medical field. However, with electrical engineering degree (which I believe is one of the most versatile engineering degree) you have a good shot working in many industries in Nigeria or going for your post grad program on scholarship outside naija in as much as you get 2.1 or better. Just my 2 cents for you. |

Educative. This is the kinna thread that deserves front page all day |
Though I don't support this man political ideology and excessive tantrums as a governor, however, I think he is the most appropriately dressed person in the pix. I can't just understand why nigerians like wearing 3 piece suit and heavy clothing in that scorching weather. |
Something should be done |
Many folks on nairaland are blinded by tribalism and are limited in knowledge. Many of them won't do well if they travel outside the country or head a multinational company Thumbs up to the whizkid |
We are the only that can write our history. Until we write and cherish our past, we have a long way to go. |
mbulela:The problem is that it takes forever for the moderators to remove the silly comments. And when they eventually did, thousands of people have already seen it, and it has created a negative energy. |
A classy burial BabyDaddy20:I have seen many moro.nic and senseless comments on nairaland, but this tops all. Has anyone ever told you this man hardly come to Nigeria? Mock others death at your own peril. Please @Seun @lalastica. Create a dislike button for us. There are so many comments that needs to be frown at with multiple dislikes. |
Urine:I remembered reading that same edition of Ovation, he was truly an enigma. I've always wondered why he never invested in Nigeria. My hitch with these young bloods is their quickness in smearing others name and acting vacuous on their ignorance |
I'm a little surprised there are handful of people that don't know who Deinde Fernandez was. Truly there are many kids on Nairaland. In the 1980s and 90s, years before Dangote, Adenuga and Otedola becomes household names synonymous to wealth in Nigeria. The likes of Deinde Fernandez, Harry Akande and MKO Abiola wealth are the type you pray to God to bless you with. This is a man that held ambassadorial positions in many countries around the world, he was a deputy prime minister in a country outside his country of origin, a very highly diplomatic man respected all over the world, we were told he owned a private island, he owned cars that were owned by the royal family, this man defined poshness and classiness of wealth. With reasons best known to him, he didn't do so much on the home front (Nigeria). RIP sir Some info for the indomie generation |
Very funny and well written story. |
I don't know why some men still fall for this scam. Before you make that big commitment of marrying a woman, let her sleep in your house overnight for couple of days or go sleep in her house. If possible have a shower together and ensure there is no single sign of make up on her face. Men be wise! |
Count down |
He looks like someone that will deliver |
airex:I give up on you |
Nice |
airex:You got some growing up to do bro |
airex:Every real men knows that is not that your friend is broke if he asks you for a condom. Just like going to bar with your friends and declaring for all them. You're not implying that they are broke neither do you mean you are richer than them. It is all part of brotherhood love and bond. As a matter of fact, I can't count the number of times I've asked my friends for condom neither can I count the number of my friends that had asked me for condoms. Be a real man and give your friends condom if they ask for one. |
The man shouldnt have taken it in the 1st place. Having taken it, he should know that he's dealing with a woman probably more intelligent than him. Aggressiveness and turning it to fight will only make him look dumber. This is a mind game and it requires a man calmness and intelligence to deal with it amicably If I were him, I will give everything back to her stating that I took it initially not because of temptation, but to give some of my single friends. If she did take everything which I strongly doubt, I will jokingly tell her that she should take it easy with her temptation with a wink and leave. |
Sweetlemon:It's presently past noon where I am, and I'm presently at work. Thanks for the gesture though. I do appreciate ![]() |
The first thing I did after opening this thread is to see the tribe of the young brain. I'm so glad he is neither yoruba nor igbo. Had it mean he's from either tribe I would have left the thread without any comment because I know it's just a matter of time before tribal bashing starts. And I'm tired of the tribal bashing sh.it Like I said in one of my comments, the mistake most of we southeners make is to believe Hausa people are not educated. Though in comparison, it is true that the number of southerners that have western education outweighs those of the northerners but the few northerners that do go to school always do well. I dont know how important this is until i traveled outside the country. Everyone cannot be a degree holder, some people should do skilled trade while some other people follow whatever they are talented in. I believe this is the way a normal society should be. NB: One of the bane of naija problem is the fierce rival between the 2 major tribes of Yoruba and Igbo. Only if both can work for selfless interest of naija development. I know I will get bashed for this comment but this to you my friends is the truth. |
The law should take its course. Witnesses should be interrogated and autopsy should be conducted. If the suspect is found guilty of 1st degree murder he should be sentenced to life imprisonment or face capital punishment. |
