tobezekiel: Well being the only child of my parents ill love to retain my father's name after marriage.. an i pray who ever ill get married to will be reasonable an understandin.
Still that does not help in the actual purpose you were trying to achieve because you are not targeting the main goal. My mother is the only surviving child of her father who is a king and non of us her children bears her fathers name, so the lineage will still be lost ( even if she bears her fathers name at the moment ) but it would be on record that we were her fathers grand children. Would it not be nice if one of your male children continues the name of your father as you so wish?.

@Post

Cuddlemii it will be nice to shrug this episode off and comeback to your post, so am in support of you coming back to run this section. Look at the overall goal and don't be pissed off by just one small tuggle. cool
Literature › Re: Do You Want Cuddlemii Back As Literature Section Moderator? by Pharoh: 8:17pm On Aug 24, 2012
Well as for me, i believe every section needs a dedicated and active mod. She has proven to be one from the few results in the past few days, weeks or months.Just like @Tgirl4real said . . .i am also indifferent to her coming back or not ( though i really wish she comes back)as she was not the first mod or neither will she be the last mod in this section. So she just needs to evaluate the whole recent episode and make the call, if she wants to be back or not. I fully support any decision she takes but on the other hand i feel no leader is without their critics.

You just have to learn how to deal with them and make the best out of them, because no advice or criticism is without its benefit or what to learn from it. I believe she might find herself someday in the future along her career in this same kind of situation and will she give up or resign easily like she just did?. I want her to come back, run this section and manage every ball that is thrown at her like other long serving mods. Just learn and better yourself @cuddlemii as this concerns leadership and management skills/situations which you might find useful in the future in some other place.

Hmm i saw this coming when cuddlemii replied but hope it doesn't go worse from here. Jeez and i was thinking that things could get better only to notice that she is no longer a mod in this section anymore. I hope she did not resign because of this little banter but hope we all learn some lessons on how to pass our message across properly next time.

I wanted to tell you not to create a third one as the time was too short and you would have added them to the carling cup but i think you can post the conference code here for people to join. I wanted to suggest that as well so hit me up with the code so i can fill in the remaining space to make it 30 contestants. cool
Nairaland General › Re: Why Is Nairaland Not On Linkedin? by Pharoh: 5:40am On Aug 18, 2012
Cuddlemii: Its a simple question! Jeez!
Why are you guys making a big deal out of it? We learn everyday!
Twitter & Facebook are on linkedin as well. Linkedin is not necessary for professional networking alone. A lot of business brands or sites are there for people to follow and get enlightened about. We have job/vacancy, business, education, car business, advertisement etc on Nairaland,Hence Nairaland has its professional side too. A lot of us got far with our careers with the help of Nairaland. I just asked cos Nairaland is on FB & twitter. Its a harmless question, Thank you!
Oh i did not mean it this way my dear friend, just trying to cover for you before the usual good for nothing people start bashing you here and sorry if it sounded condensing but it was not my intention. Those two you mentioned are companies i mean professional companies with professionals working for them. They also have company updates where you can see news for job offers, new hires and job position changes. Nairaland is probably nothing like that and if they do then it would be on a small scale which is not worth following. Most people follow companies because they have something tangible to gain from it or something like that.

Again sorry if i sounded harsh initially and truly we are all here to learn, i have learned alot from you too and just keep on being yourself, Thank you too! smiley

Kaduna Nzeogwu - Nile News Update

It has come to our notice that Pharaoh's army as a very competent team welcomes the recognition and endorsement of Eldee FC in relation to their past performance in the league competition and fully looks forward to more cooperation with the management of Eldee FC. However they wish to set the records straight that, they are not a feeders team to Eldee FC as they have consistently performed better than them grin cheesy even with their set of young players. We are small but mighty and an independent footballing club in the Castile region of spain with very great football traditions and history. Loaning some of our fringe players to Eldee FC does not constitute us being a feeders team to them. We will set the records straight once and for all by outperforming them in this coming season for the whole world to see. cool tongue

In other news Imhotep the club chairman for Pharaohs Army was seen in a meeting negotiating with the management of the Nairaland fantasy league concerning ownership for the commercial, image and advertising rights to the Nairaland Fantasy League. As a sign to show all seriousness and competence to adequately manage this aspect of the competition. Imhotep the club chairman of Pharaoh's Army is announcing a provision of prize money or gifts for the winners of the Nairaland fantasy league, Fa Cup, Fa Super Cup, Carling Cup and Carling Super Cup. When asked about the value of the prize money or gift, he replied that it would likely be a cash only prize or in form of a gift card worth . . . . . . grin. ( Others can join oo tongue )

Concerning the rights to the league . . . he said there are plans if awarded those rights to introduce a betting system into the league. Take the coverage beyond Nairaland to other alternative media outlets to earn more advertising revenue and manage the image of the Competition. When asked if they would be an exchange of money to complete this deal . . . he replied with an absolute hell no . .. grin. We are hoping to get it for free as it will be on a trial basis but we have such a big heart to share some . . . . . with the management of the league.

Nile News will be waiting to get some updates concerning these developments from the nairaland management team and also from any other moneybags or sports firms willinging to compete with imhotep for these rights.

Please Stay Tuned for more updates . . . . . .

It is common sense and knowledge that when a woman has money more than you, she looses respect for you so why should these men think of marrying you if you are not putting positive vibes forward that your wealth will not cause issues within the proper marriage.

@Muki If the number of participants exceeds forty then i think you should create a third head to head league called community cup so that every head to head league contains 20 members ( The FA cup is more than 20 already which is not right so demote someone to the carling cup grin ).

Literature › Re: Nairaland's Literary & Debating Day - FINALS by Pharoh: 12:16am On Jul 24, 2012
With hindsight, i believe the debate would have been conducted differently but its all good that we have the chance to learn from experience as it is the best teacher. There are some arguments coming up which needs to be addressed and i should say that the debate might have been rushed. I am following the original threads right now and the originator really had lofty ideas but the normal distractions eventually influenced the final structure. I think the coordinating team should be expanded to include more people for behind the scenes deliberations. I will try to drop one or two suggestions before the next debate so that we will not have some of these arguments in the future.

Cuddlemii: Says who?
How are you?
Says me initially but i guess my assumptions were wrong and you realy have a good memory you know.

I am doing okay and you?, been away for a while due to some issues but am back now and congrats for being a mod, hope you do well and bring changes to your section of influence.
Literature › Re: Nairaland's Literary & Debating Day - FINALS by Pharoh: 8:55pm On Jul 23, 2012
This was a wonderful thing to do ( wanted to do stuffs like this as well ) and thanks to everyone who made it happen and to the project coordinator ( don't remember me again i guess ).

Hope we can all take a retrospective view of the past events and see how we can make this debate better going forward. In my personal perspective, i think shymexx should have not been banned if he did not break the debating rules ( was there any rule concerning plagiarism before the debate commenced? ) and also i think some posters will like to make some suggestion to the debate and or see how it can be expanded and reorganized with adequate inputs.

Thanks everyone and keep the discussion going but with less fighting please cool.

Greetings to everyone gracing this thread . . . especially my fellow los blancos, friends of real Madrid, fans of our eternal rivals and other football lovers. Special thanks to usbcable as you have really kept the fire burning despite my prolong absence due to one unfortunate circumstance but to God be all glory.

Its time again for another season but am not so tuned in to their champions league ambition as they really missed a great opportunity to take it the last time and it will always be difficult every year due to the competition with Barcelona. I think the focus for me will be on the domestic trophies and just like medjai observed . . . . i am looking forward to the mini classicos in the Segunda division.

usbcable: @ MODRIC

i no know for the people wey wan buy the guy.

he tire me too.
No be only you but we just have to accept it when you have a coach that believes mostly in ready made products ( no matter the age ) to get the job done and a president that can throw his weights and money around to get what he wants. Anyway after the purchase of kaka with his influence . . . . i strongly believe there are better competitors for him right now as these arabs and russians can as well throw money around lavishly. We were in the frame to get santi carzola and the same david silva they are trying to chase right now before mourinho actually came but it went sour at some point.

Anyway always a madridista no matter what and we are up for it in order not to go empty handed this season.
