Yes, Hamm-Lippstadt accepted winter admitted students to enroll during summer!!

Although this is somewhat the truth, its quite a vague one.

As a last year Hamm-Lippstadt allowed enrollment by proxy, and students from Nigeria enrolled but weren't able to get winter appointment dates. When you enroll by proxy, you no longer have an enrollment deadline to work with and you can basically do your interview anytime between a 1 year span.

People who left to Hamm-Lippstadt early this year during summer had enrolled by proxy last winter, they weren't able to get winter appointment dates so they had to wait for summer appointment dates which the embassy couldn't deny them cause they had already enrolled in the study program.

Hamm-Lippstadt no longer allows enrollment by proxy for some said reasons
(Late resumption for an Engineering course most definitely leads to bad grades, which they are trying to avoid).
So for now, it is not possible to do the same this year and go by summer next year.

No you cant, HND would only get you into a Bachelors program.
It has happened before tough, but thats a rare case and wont advise you to bank on that

Conditional Admission is different from language school admission that can only get you a language visa. @fabcol is obviously talking about language visas, you cannot work on a language visa or convert it to a student visa, you have to exit and reapply for a student visa after the duration of your language course which is usually not more than a year.

Language visa is different from student visa, conditional admissions get you student visas but they sometimes go south especially when the prior language possessed is insufficient. You both know what you're talking about but I guess you don't understand yourselves.

Short term visas are not in this category which prompted fabcol's answer to the guy, or did your friends travel On short term visas and extended it?

Yeah i know, but from what the guy in need was saying, he got a conditional admission with a language requirement. Except i read something else.
That is why i clearly stated my points.

He wasn't talking about the 3 months visiting visa. And no, my friends did not use 3 months visa lol

And Conditional admissions that makes you learn the language for 1 year in DE before starting the full study program is more of a grey area between Student visa and language visa. You apply with a student visa but upon extension after you get to DE you would be given the same visa as a language student with only one difference ( you can work during summer holidays). Once you get your required proficiency B1 B2 C1 etc... You can then convert your visa to a full student visa and get your full work permit. You would do all this in Deutschland without having to come to Nigeria.

I know of 2 schools that give these for their German taught courses Uni Duisburg-Essen and TU Dortmund.

But yeah we might have misunderstood each other on what we were talking about. i am just stating this for future readers who might want to take German taught courses and learn the language in DE rather than Nigeria

Actually I gave a reply based on what he wrote.. embassy wouldn't give him visa to go start A1 in Germany(whether with school admission or not) when there is Goethe that is far cheaper in Nigeria. If he had German knowledge to like A2 level then he has a good chance. But again weird things happen on this journey.

Truth is that once he can say why he wants to study the course and why he chose a German taught course, they wont care what level of German language he is in. i know about 4 guys in DE right now who used conditional admission for a German taught program without any proficiency in German and more testimonies to come this winter . All he needs to show is proof he is going to do the German language course (payment notification to the language school, and language contract) this way they are sure of his purpose of going to DE

Firstly, there is Goethe Lagos where you can learn German far cheaper (60k or so per level).. this is enough reason to deny your application
Secondly you booked the wrong category. Language course is supposed to be booked under long stay.. another reason to be denied.
Thirdly short stay isn't extendable.. that's why it's short stay
There are alot of English taught courses in Germany, I wonder how you missed them.
If that's your dream course and school learn German here in Nigeria via Goethe to the required level and apply. Or search for English taught courses on daad.de for summer and apply

It depends, if he was actually given an admission for a full study program and asked to do a language course as one of the requirements then his visa would not be denied. it would be treated as a student visa and he will be expected to go learn the language there, all he needs is the confirmation from whichever language school he registers in that he has paid and would start on so so date plus his schools admission letter for the study program with the condition. If its just an admission from a language school only, then it would be denied due to your stated reasons

@elpatron95 by now you should know what category you fall into.
there are cheaper language schools like LANES(390euros and 2 months per level) and sprachenstudio (400-450 euros and 2 months per level) with positive results in that region, not more than 20-30 minutes away from Bochum. Since you need to do a language course first i am guessing your university gave enough time frame to learn it , Ask your school for an extension, Book with a Later deadline like Dec 10.

Book with student visa not language course, if you have an AL from Rhur bochum stating a condition to learn language first

I'm asking because I booked on the 2nd of July with Oct 15 as deadline, rebooked on the 30th of July with Nov 20th as deadline bhu i ticked Scholarship, I got a date the next day for Oct30 bhu bosses advised me to cancel and rebook as I would be turned back. I then reapplied on Aug 1 at 4:30am with Nov 15 as deadline. Someone here rebooked the same day but with Nov 29 as deadline and got a date today while I havent.

I am most confused right now. I don't know what to do. Should I wait? should I rebook again. If I rebook, hope the system won't detect me

Welcome to the thread Ajiboladikenna. Congratulations on your Admission.
Hamm lippstadt agreed there would be enrollment extension but it might only be for a few weeks. I’d advise you to message the campusoffice from tomorrow and request for an enrollment extension til November 15 cause that’s your only hope now due to dates only being available in October.
if you already have a previous bachelors on or above 2:2 I’d advise you to cancel and book with category A using November 30 as deadline so to get and available date in October. There are no longer dates in August and September as at now.

People are filling up the spaces day by day, if you use any date lower than November 15 I highly doubt you would be issued an appointment date. Use November 20-30 to be on the safe side.

Sorry about not getting AL on time. There is still hope, if AL shows later you can still book for AD but try to get extension till November. Otherwise, activate plan B for summer.

All winter appointment dates within August to October still allow 2:2 students go with category A. I know they have changed it on the website but they haven’t implemented it in the appointment mail.(Half of these people booked after the change) That’s all I can say.
I don’t know if it has changed now, but as at last week and early this week everyone who was given appointment on category A has 2:2 allowed in their mail.
It all boils down to your mind and grace, I’m not advising anyone to do anything, just telling you what’s out there.
You can book today on category A and get an appointment date that falls between August - October and your friend might also book and get November date ( I’ve seen people with AD of October 30, so November is not far) and the 2:2 clause would not be there. This might be when they implement the change. I’d advise you to pray and ask for God’s divine direction.

Did you book in both Cat A and Cat B? If so cancel in both categories. It’s possible the one you canceled might be for a different category you are trying to book.
Hope this works cause if this is not the case i don’t know what else you can do.

Means your passport number is still in the system. Check very well, you might not have canceled the old appointment booking on that specific category

All winter 2019 appointment mails accept the 2:2 clause for CAT A. People who booked after the change still got the old appointment mail that accepts 2:2 for both Bsc and MSc , if you want to cancel, this 2:2 clause should not be a problem
