I have said it countless number of times, people should stop giving information here authoritatively as if they work at the embassy. How can you come here and say embassy has stopped giving dates for winter?? Yes we know the embassy posted on the website but they actually did it to dissuade people from sending them unsolicited messages about interview dates. In reality, they are still giving out dates.... - I booked my visa appointment on the 7th of August (LIST A) and got an interview invite slated for 5th September just 2days ago, however in the mail they sent, they included that my certificate must not be older than Jan 2017 which I could have sworn wasn't included when i wanted to booked the appointment, otherwise I'll chosen LIST B jejely. My question now is will this raise an issue?
- my second question is regarding the blocked acct. Which is advisable for one to open- Fintiba basic or Fintiba plus? I'm only asking because one seems to have insurance included

Since you booked before the issuance no problem.
Your VO most likely will not even ask you and if He/She does, then you simply say you booked before the conditions were implemented.

A friend went for his interview yesterday with the same condition as yours. His VO did not ask him about it, he was interviewed by the woman on maroon dreads who’s presumably said to be the most task full VO (She’s the one who gives tests). He had a successful interview , Glory to God.

So just be calm and prepare for your interview. You are safe.

Arrived the embassy by 6am. I had to go edit a part of my visa application page print out which made me lose my place on the queue lol. Had my interview by 2pm with a fair lady. She was strict and didn't appreciate jokes or smiles lol.
Paid my fee, did biometric, filled some forms, I had to borrow biro from someone outside lol.

Questions weren't many for mine, seems she was tired:

Name of program
What campus location of the uni
Why you wanna study the course
Facts about Germany generally.
Facts on germany economically, politically, geographically?
Why Germany?
Why not US/UK
Any other questions?, I asked mine but the woman didn't answer me when I cracked a funny question in form a joke. So I told her I had change left when I remembered. Collected it. I couldn't leave 1 naira for that no joy lady lol.

so I said nothing else and went away. We thank God.

Oga stop spreading false information. Some people booked 9 July with start dates of 1st to 3rd October and got 3 September as AD last week.

September 23rd and October 3rd are different dates, i hope you were aware of that

Check my previous posts where i explained which people are gonna be able to get dates with oct 1st deadline

check your Email AD expectants !!, A lot of Dates have been rolling out today especially in September .

please in the case you're require to enroll in person despite the school said you are permitted to come November and have book since July 7 while my enrollment date was Sept 23 and yet no AD what should I do.

Cancel and book again with a later deadline. I cant assure you a date but you stand a better chance of getting dates than holding on to that booking. i wish you had been online and read when people were using later deadlines. A friend just got a date today 05.09.19 he booked on July 30th with November 30 deadline ( This was a month after people had been advised on this thread to use late enrollment deadlines).

Its simple if by now embassy hasnt given you a date and you are to resume September 23rd , they surely cant give a date now, from my experience they give dates 7-8 weeks from the deadline you choose. That is how the automated system works.

This decision is up to you though, and any potential reader. Danke

I’d have to be real with you if you have an October 15 deadline and can’t secure a date I’d advise you ask for an admission deferment to summer. If you booked early July with an October deadline then just pray and be hopefull

did you use October as your deadline? And If so you can only pray, cause people getting surprise dates ( dates in August and early september) used October as their deadline and booked early July.

She is not misinforming anyone, I’m pretty sure she has helped people on this group more than you have, sassy92 only told you the best option based on what’s been going on. The fact he got a date doesn’t make her wrong and he is lucky to get the date. (September 3rd only just became available cause someone canceled and his booking start date fits between the requirements).

You need to be nicer with words when talking to someone. Just this thing you said can make a selfless helper feel some type of way and stop helping because of the risk being called out a misinformer in future.

Got AD for september 3rd. Having cancelled my 1st booking which was in june. Rebooked on July 9th with October 14th as start date and refused to cancel again.

The spirit is awakened again, and the struggle contuines.

Chill and be hopefull, your booking is on track. They gave a friend of mine AD (Aug 28) he booked on the 5th July used the same enrollment deadline as you.
Another got Sept 4, booked 8th july same deadline as you
Another got 26th Aug booked 10th july same deadline as you
The october Deadline is still viable that is why they are issuing dates upon its availability

If you noticed the dates have been awarded according to when you book and it must be an October deadline you used, from 2nd to 8th to 10th
by next week hopefully more dates might be available but i only see people that booked between 10-20th of July with October deadlines getting surprise dates.

Note this is for only those who used October deadlines in July cause their school doesn't extend enrollment. If you used November/December deadline this doesn't affect you and you have better chances of getting a date

It wont be an issue unless your VO specifically checks what you put as your start date.

But then why are you using a December start date in hopes of getting an October AD if your deadline is Oct 1st?
Unless you have an enrollment deadline to middle November my advise is there's no point cancelling and re-booking cause your VO wont process the application, the moment he sees your deadline you would be bounced or asked to provide an enrollment extension.
Also when you get the extension till middle November that can stand as your defense if your VO asks the question you stated.

Its a really good question but the probability of its occurrence is 0 to none from the explained above

When the category booking system first came out it covered First Class to 2:2. Then later it was changed to just First Class and 2:1. I don't know the exact date it was changed. But if you booked under Category A AFTER the change, you could get bounced. Please does anyone know the date the booking system was changed? Please comment and let's know.
If you booked AFTER the change, I'd advice you to cancel and rebook under the right category. The embassy has a lot of applicants to deal with this period (August/September), someone who had his interview on Monday told me that there were over 70 people for student visa. Paulinus was more cranky than usual (coz he had more people to deal with) and the VOs were also short tempered. Don't do anything that will make them bounce you sharp sharp.

please nairalanders, If tuition fee is required per semester and the Masters programme consists of 3 semesters, are we required to pay the tuition fees for the 3 semesters before being issued visa or even before gaining admission.

All you need to get the visa is an admission letter issued from the school. School fees being paid has nothing to do with your visa.( it could come up as a question during visa interview though, but it has minimal effect)

Some schools would request you pay half or full of the 1st semester fees before issuing your admission letter . I doubt any school asks for the full 3 semesters fees. All in all depends on your school though.
