IchBinBrait:The post really got to me and I learnt a lot from it too. @IchBinBrait Bitte ![]() |
Hadampson:Amen ooh, just trying to aid the path which you’ve started |
Goztino:Goztino don come again with his analysis. Nice one bro ![]() |
iblion:They are asking for the list of courses you took during your undergraduate program or your course catalog. If you have a departmental handbook you can use that or ask your HOD or any lecturer you are familiar with. On a norms tho, it is meant to be on your transcript |
SooCute’s Advice as of Winter 2018 I'd count it "Sinful" to migrate to DE and completely ignore this house that made me. This is my base. Yes i'm still in my first month anyway. So i'm pretty new here. I came here because i got a few stuffs to share...just for those who didn't know already. 1. When you enter here with Block Account, Anybody that is legal and works in Europe can give you Support letter for preceding extensions/renewal . Yes. You don't necessarily need someone who lives and works in DE for that. NB: This is the case in Bayern where i study and live.... 2. Before you come here......L E A R N G E R M A N. Not as if you will die if you don't. But imagine being hungry and don't know how to order for food? Imagine not being able to read signs like "Entrance and Exit, Rauche oder nicht Rauche?" the list is endless... Imagine being in a train but don't know how to tell someone to remind you when you get to your station? Because the "computer" announcing Bahnhoffs says it in German! Imagine stepping on someone but can't say "tut mir sehr leid"? Imagine missing your way (Which is common) and don't know how to ask or take directions? You can't yell bro.. Imagine going to grocery stores and don't even know how to ask where you can find certain thing? Or you can't read or guess-read what's on label? Your mom wouldn't be there to savage. But once you can say "Entschuldigung Sie" a typicall Deustche will reply "Bitte" then you wrap German. It might take a little for you to hear their own German, but at least, you can express yourself with your crude german and they can understand you....that's communication grin 3. Most of the time, the people that discriminate you (Racist) are not Germans. I can bet my rent on this. Other nationalities who came as you came do! Germans are pretty simple people from my experience. They are supper warm and welcoming....Always asking "Was kann ich fur Sie tun? Brauchen Sie hilfe? 4. If you are like us that have finished school many years and starting over....mehn....start reading again. Re-activate your brain. I mean, read reasonable stuffs that really revamps your brain. Not some Instagram posts. You need to come up to par. It will help you when you come here. 5. Normally, what's actually different is "Method". The lecturers here are fast...kinda. But you'll be fine trust me. If a dumb ass like me can answer questions in Maths, Physics and Statistics classes (Even though i had a HND in Mechanical Engineering from home) while those whites mop at me, then you should do better. Key: Don't be intimidated, don't be proud either. All of us de hustle. 6. If you are coming here with SL, Come with money that can sustain yo for some months, couple of winter suits (If you are coming during winter) and food! Yes. I regretted buying clothes from Nigeria. It's personal. Though a bit expensive (Even though there are cheap stores), stuffs here are of standard. But imagine me coming here with no single maggi cube? I burnt cash already on food since i came. It will take you little time to discover the economic way of feeding here especially if you are like me who doesn't have someone here to show me the way.... 7. Be nice. Don't spoil the reputation of Nigerians. If you do, they will reduce our slots and God no go forgive you. Here.....things work. The system is organized and kinda of ordered. Germans are courteous and sehr nett. Don't come here and block another person future abeg. Don't be notorious. Its nobody's business you Say?, Hell no! It's our business how you behave. Save the innocent Nigerians reputation. 8. Studying Engineering and trying to hammer at the same sequence is almost too hard. You go fail for class. Take it easy. Don't come with high-false-hopes of "Once i enter, i am hammer grin".Tell those you borrowed from to chill a while biko. What you can earn here is about 450 Euro per Month which can cater for your basic needs...as poor man wey i be. Once you finish and land a job.....then yo can Ronaldo all you can. 9. Get prepared for the hustle. It's not what you see in pictures. Get your mind prepared. Come prepared. No one has your time here. No one cares about your show-off. Even the Mercedes that dropped me from train station to my place was intimidating. Cars are toys here unlike in 9ja. 10. About chasing women or men.... well, i haven't seen any woman yet that can take my baby's place. As long as it lasts...i will try and control myself. Ain't marrying any shitty white wife even though i am still single. It's my choice and its very possible to stay sane. Girls will kinda be nice to you (what we call green light in Nigeria) but that does not necessarily translate to them rushing you.. nahhhh. But sha if you don't have a babe down here that loves you and you love back...don't commit yourself yet. Reason is...once you land here, your taste for woman go change and almost any 9ja babe you toast with plus+four+nine dialing code go gree... u see? But sha the winter is real mehn....Chukwunna biko! 10. Pls share your experience here. Let us have many Nigerians here....the more the merrier! I didn't have anyone pick me from Frankfurt....so that was the first point of "This is Lagos" in Germany. I had to find my way anyway... imagine i couldn't say poo in german? habatically grin grin grin I learnt german on my own anyway... i got books and audios. Don't use "Geothe is far" as an excuse. Find someone to speak to. Ignore translators...(i have my reasons.) It's better to start learning by speaking nonsense than using translators.. find someone who can learn with you or speak with you. Find and join German learners group on Facebook,...use your spare times productively instead of watching unclad women on Insta or trying to impress your Hushpuppi (for ladies) or Kimkardianshan (for guys) with poses and posts (I am saying this to those whose passion is strong about migrating and surviving here). Set your priorities and take it one at a time. Surely when you come here...you will change..positively (maybe). You'd become more simple and more open... Its really irrational to blame Nigerians. Youths especially. What we are or have today as Nigerians was what was made available to us and what we were exposed to. Things are really shitty in Nigeria. Come here and refine your mind. Come here and become better. Nigerians are strong people. We've learned to survive the impossible. I can't imagine spending about 30years of my life only in Nigeria and Africa.... You have the right to thrash this....It's 100% your freedom. Alles gute. |
Gbp2020:Fund your blocked account with a maximum of 10k. Apply for your visa interview. When you get your visa and travel, open a current bank account and then you can transfer the remaining money to this current account. If you over pay into your blocked account it might affect your visa proposal. |
erny11:In too try... I bow for you hadampson |
qonfupanda:Yes. It’s still a student visa. If you cannot pass the language exam after two years, then your schooling visa would be revoked |
Hadampson you too much jor.!!! Especially with this your referencing to old veterans it has helped a lot of people and giving insight on what to expect from Germany. Nice effort to keep the thread going ![]() |
boywonder225:If you are sure then maybe yes you can book a date. It would be selfish and wicked if we tell you not too book one, I was once against booking early but then someone explained you can have your AL and BA/SL ready then you won’t get a date and that’s how you miss your opportunity. So if you are sure, book on time but please make sure you endeavor to cancel a week before time If all things don’t go according to plan. Wish you the best, |
Basalt:You are welcome brother. Wish you the best |
Basalt:Bro I get where you are coming from, But have you thought of it this way, your first year you don’t need to make that 10k, your first year should be used to understand the system see the business opportunities, know the education system, read, get good grades and excel. I’d advise you to look at the bigger picture. Money is good, (we all know that). I would love to make 10k savings in a year too but think about the later. Is it really worth it? The only way you can make this 10k savings is by doing it illegally. I don’t mean crime or robber (which can also be a factor) but you would be doing jobs and hiding them from the authorities because you must exceed that 20hr per week. I know there is 3 months of full day working but that too won’t cut it, you must exceed that 20 hours. Now do you really want to do this when you just enter a foreign land? Jeopardize all your hard work just for chicken change ( no offense). If you focus on things like learning the language, doing internships and creating connections with organizations, graduating with good grades then the sky would just be your starting point. Because after studies and you do what you need to, God willing you would land a good job that pays you over 45k a year maybe 32-35k after tax. With this you can work weekend jobs and probably earn 400-700 a month. The hustle now begins you would cut your cost and limit Spending, reduce eating out and live in a small studio apartment. At least you know you aren’t breaking any law and you would have your peace of mind. Then you can be looking at nothing less that 20k savings from the motivation and hard working spirit Im seeing you have. I called it chicken change because the time and energy you used to achieve that 10k savings is nothing compared to how relaxed you can be with better peace of mind to achieve the later which is 20k savings. Look at the bigger picture bro, don’t let the first priority be money for savings rather work on your self and make sure you would remain there after school. That is when the real hustling begins ![]() You might have family members back home Depending on you. But look at it this way, is it better to be giving them Toyota each year and at any chance your right to stay in the country is hanging on a thin line. Or they wait for you, you build yourself and your worth and after two years you become a man a value, you can be giving them Gwagon each year after that and still live a somewhat comfortable life without any harassment. The cars are metaphors oh ![]() |
Ajibolaoi:He needs the data page of your international passport and your admission letter. You should send those to him via post or email . He would take it to the foreigners office and request for a sponsorship letter for you from them. Tell him to specify schooling sponsorship not visiting. All the best. |
Hadampson:I still Dey naija Ooh bro.Hopefully this winter . It is iamphil wey Dey DE |
enibal:Contact @pizzule . He schools there |
Dlimitbreaker:The source of funds is really important if not your interview would be useless. The major thing you need to settle is that funds. Pray, ask around.. friends, relatives, family members, church members etc. God would do something. Or tell as much people as possible about your case you never know who can connect you with someone that could act as a sponsor with SL.( be promising to pay back if push comes to shove) Without proof of funding you can’t go to DE for your masters. Stay strong brother. |
aduku1:Okay you have a point. I appreciate There’s still a problem tho, and it’s coming from us. I don’t think there are as much people who have applied to schools and are expecting Admission letter than there are available dates given by the embassy. People are booking this thing anyhow. It can be an Agency or Agencies for all you know or different individuals because if you take a look at Ghana for example, you can check now and get an interview for tomorrow morning. The embassy is also releasing their dates daily And they have as much prospective students from Ghana as you have from Nigeria So why’s theirs different? |
OdiEma:Federal high court maitama. It’s about N500 per copy |
aodiba:Same thing on my mind. But could it be that fast? Like I no say boys no Dey smile butttt. It just came out not more than 2-3 days and naija don already out-book am. Nawa. It’s just something I noticed and I’m concerned. We shouldn’t make these things hard for our brothers. Anyways Anyone in Abuja should use Email booking method, stated the format in an earlier page. And Lagos interviewees , God is your strength. Shalom |
Fabcol:Yeah thanks, I know about that. It’s the fact that June just came out and Someone has to be waiting till 10/11 to book a date is what I don’t understand. Why aren’t there dates available now for June |
June is showing on the online portal for visa booking and there are no dates in June. Has June been booked out already? This naija sha ![]() Or do you guys feel people at the consulate purposely don’t release enough dates for Nigerians for one reason or the other. Cause I’m second guessing if people are actually hoarding appointment dates |
Nuella45:My prayers are with you @Nuella45. You have really tried. It must be really hard waiting like this but it would come out as a testimony surely !!! |
evergreen9:Yeah, people have gotten admission from NOUN |
This year is our year IN JESUS NAME!!! |
sassy92:Replied your pm. It did not deliver. Send me a mail on philballer69@gmail.com |
sassy92:Yeah I graduated from covenant university. I am applying for winter. Send a pm and I’d send you what you need |
melto:Yeah it can be the thing that makes them accept you, when there are many other applications like yours or better than yours |
Milkbooster:Yes that is what you would do. You have to study the language for 1 year. I don’t know if HND would give you admission, also add work experience to your Cv. The fact that it’s a German taught course might increase your chances. Your gpa is good |
Harryokoli:Try university of Duisburg Essen. they offer courses like mechanical engineering ,Automation and control engineering and computational mechanics. it is not restricted. they are German taught courses which means less competition and your admission letter comes with ability to study language for a year plus before enrolling. you don't need to provide German proficiency you can be accepted with 0 knowledge of German language, but you cant enroll for the course till you have B2 and you have a maximum of 4 semesters (2 years) as a language student to achieve B2. Application started April 1st and closes on the 15th of July. https://www.uni-due(dot)de/ise/curriculum/master(dot)shtml link replace "dot" with "." |
Bloodeagle: erny11:Tomato stew isint common there, i think only in Italy . there are naija restaurants oh ( which would be costly for sure) but its easier to get the foods i mentioned eg fast food dem , than the real food and going for the real food means restaurants which is money. even then na onyibo poridge and weird weird meals wey you never get experience you will be seeing. Some of us can like it sha but me im a core naija boy . it is smarter and better to cook your food, so pack a lot of foodstuff from home , if you cant cook be good friends with one of our Nigerian queens . Na my friend for Deutchland wey advise mePS: chinese restaurants are also nice but it costs more in the long run |
erny11:Na so una go talk. when you end up eating only Burgers, chicken, salad, steak, yogurt, pizza and all them orishishi no one would have to tell you that you miss jollof rice, ojuelegba amala, isi ewu and nkwobi, abacha, porridge beans.... white rice and stew no dey common sef ![]() |
