Culture › Re: Do You Believe In Reincarnation: Discuss by phillippians(m): 4:14pm On Oct 08, 2019 |
Oahray: lmao. Funny how you just messed yourself up. Many people believe everyone goes to heaven or hellfire at death. Do you even know what you are defending at all? How does this long pile of emptiness you just posted support that claim and yet support your reincarnation claims? If everyone goes to heaven/paradise or hell at death for eternity as muslims and most christians believe, at what time do they get reincarnated? Think bro.
I expected you to add bible verses to this post supporting your claim as a reasonable person would, not rant like the average fanatic.
reincarnation springs directly from the belief that the soul is immortal and cannot die. The bible didnt say the soul would die 'only after several reincarnations'. Ezekiel was talking to the people about their present actions and the fact that God is the owner of life. Death is the wage of sin and every human has fallen short.
I have read the verses bro. It still doesnt support reincarnation anymore than calling the devil 'the god of this age' makes him the creator.
Good question. First of all, the bible never said Adam and Eve had only sons. Why do you suppose they had no daughters? Did you ever pause to think that? Absence of evidence isnt evidence of absence. Cain obviously took one of his sisters as his wife. At that point in human history, mankind was still close to perfection and genetic effects of interbreeding would have been negligible.
when we die, we are dead. Our spirit or life force returns to our maker. If he chooses to restore that life, it is what the bible terms resurrection.
now this is absolutely hilarious. Until the 19th century, the world population had never been up to 2billion. It has been increasing over time and is expected to increase still. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, it means the <2billion souls then alive are souls that have been recycled. All of a sudden 5billion more are added. How many of these added souls have lived before if the former 2billion have been recycled have been recycled over time? Could it be some souls do not get reincarnated at all, while some get to come back in a short while as their grandchildren? You talk about that which you do not know as if they were proven.
If anyone can be called blind its confused persons like you. You do not want to believe that we are new beings resulting from procreation, but you would like to believe that there were five billion souls awaiting reincarnation. At what point were these waiting souls created or start to exist? If they were created why cant they be destroyed? Examine your beliefs youngman. Human philosophy is confusion and it would never lead you anywhere. I believe in reincarnation Let me quickly clear this statistical misunderstanding of 19th century 2billion people on earth as against the current 7billion. Purgatory is a place where the human soul goes to stay after death. There are phases/ranks in this purgatory. Now, depending on your karma, some souls are not fit to transcend to the next phase of spiritual grant having not completed fully, their assignment on earth so they are made to go back to the living world in a new body(Re-incarnation), in hope that the reincarnated soul should now utilize this second opportunity to be spiritually grounded to make it into the next phase of spiritual maturity should another death occur. Depending on ur karma as regards how u live your previous life, some souls can't come back as humans, they go to reincarnate animals, trees, some reincarnates snakes (DEPENDING ON YOUR KARMA). Now a reincarnated human soul can mimic d exact existence of his/her previous life in terms of achievements, belief, lifestyle etc or it can be a complete opposite in comparison to the previous existence. Example : a know wealthy and famous man with plenty kids, wives, when reincarnated will most likely be wealthy again, while in opposite cases he can become as poor as church rats with no kids or wife at all...DEPENDING ON HIS KARMA/FATE. I I am also believed to have reincarnated my maternal grandma's elder brother, whom was attached with a chair on his head by one of his wayward sons, and the deep injury inflicted on the dead man's skull is very visible on my skull till today. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by phillippians(m): 8:56pm On Oct 07, 2019 |
LaurelP: I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business. I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two. Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it. Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.
So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers. Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!
1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.
2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know! 3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing". 4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers. 5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name 6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.
And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well. I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.
Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you
Cheers! Please I need a job, anyone who can help. Am married with a daughter, Just stopped working in a hospital lab recently, am young and very active and productive. I have a First degree BS c Microbiology, Second class honors, my number is 08100254826 |

Acidosis: Your cousin should first and foremost consider any effects donation might have on her overall health. Confirming that your cousin is a biological match means some steps already have been taken. Further 'light' tests should be considered to be sure there are no medical challenges (diabetes, HBP, etc.). Presence of health challenges automatically nullifies chances of donating to her husband. In my opinion, it's better to decline by dwelling on the aforementioned challenges.
Where there are no underlying health issues, no one should pressure her into giving her organ. Organ donation is more of sacrifice and selflessness than romantic and sexual love. It takes a special kind of love to give an organ to a spouse, sister, brother, parents or child, etc. What if she loves her husband but just can't trust the medical procedure? Some people don't trust medical doctors and surgical procedures. It's just what it is.
The mother of the man in context can also come forward and donate to her son. After all, people have made us believe that the love a mother has towards her son exceeds all forms of love. Let her come and prove that love. Of course, a mother's love has no comparison. No boundaries my dear friend, but in all, his wife is supposed to stand by him in trying times like this. I lost an aunt to kidney problem in 2014. From time time of diagnosis to her death was just six months, the husband ran away two months into the illness, my grandma, that's my aunties mother was ever willing to donate for as we made arrangements to fly her to Indian. The husband whom my aunty have opened a business for severally and he lavishes it on young girls ran away on discovery that he was a perfect match and a potential donor. Smiles# he family members encourage it though, but he perceived the money for transplant was almost ready as the Nigerian Police force assisted my aunt who was a police inspector with 2million naira, we needed 6 million. Some families members aren't worth it self, some of her rich biological brothers refused to support courtesy to their wives! We put up her house for sale, chai come and see where people were pricing a six bedroom apartment anyhow. Life is deceiving sha!! Pray you don't experience kidney failure. Our money got exhausted on three-times a week dialysis! funny enough dear husband wanted to hijacked the money. Long story short, she gave up the ghost few days to her traveling abroad, the knowledge that her dear hubby have abandoned her hastened her death. After her burial, the same hubby came wanting to claim her house. The house my aunt single-handedly built even before they met. What a world! In-laws are scam, they are mostly after the interest of their very own, they will never allow their son/daughter to lay down their life in times like this, but when things are okay, you hear them calling you 'my in-law my in-law every now and then! |

yazga: Did the kidney suddenly fail or it was there all along and wasn't disclosed? If it wasn't disclosed, she has a choice to walk away. If it happened suddenly, she ought to make sacrifice but you can't force her. I believe he has siblings, let love ànd blood lead.
Again, Instead of the two families to sit down and look for a suitable solution, it's divorce they are pushing her for? A fresh marriage for that matter, what exactly was their reason to get married if they can't support and help each other at their down times? Oh so it's now you remember he has siblings, when some ladies will never allow their husband to assist their biological siblings in any way, now he's sick its falls on the siblings as their duty to revive their brother. See why I don't joke with my family? Mother, father and siblings first over anything else. Am married too |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is A Lecturing Job Sure With A Phd In Nigeria Of Today? by phillippians(m): 4:23pm On Jul 28, 2019 |
handsomeclouds: Your chances are limited because education in Nigeria has become a joke.
Most of us running Phd now are unemployed meaning after Phd some will still be. Phd is fast becoming pure water.
Even in Nigeria you could get a lecturing job and still get fired for running Phd just like what happened to me where I was working a few months back. But just don't want to disclose or create a thread on it. Because my colleagues are still there and I don't want the tactless proprietor to start his usual habit of annoyance and venting his anger on them as he did the last time someone brought an internal memo here.
Even after seeking permission to attend lectures, I was given only oral approval. The worst part was a six-day leave for examination which was given an outright disapproval. I left for my exams however, and before I could say Jack, I was fired- just two days of departure. Yet the school along with it parent body and subsidiaries keeps advertisings year-in-year-out. I pity the next set of people that would be employed there. Sorry for digressing. My advice for anyone is to search for management trainee jobs after masters and save towards running PhD in saner climes. Possibly seeking lecturing job in some middle eastern country like Dubai cos nothing works in this Nigeria any longer. People are bad o...hmmmm you won't know until u start making progress in life. |

Safari29: people move bro. they either get tired, get a better offer or get sacked after a while and leave. it applies to most companies. some do in-sourcing, so you might not see their advert. A friend just left Firstbank that i have been rooting for, management position o, to Canada That's called upgrading my friend. I too would prefer Canada to even a managerial position in the bank. as far as naija is concerned, nothing is guaranteed. you friend isn't stupid, he probably have weighed both options and find out leaving for Canada is a better option while there are some who envy his former job... hmmm funny world sha, " Some have, they don't don't want, others want they don't have " |
