One of such persons is the lady in the video below, who supposedly rejected her boyfriend’s proposal on the grounds that he did it in the eyes of the public

The young lady took her decision in spite of the many calls and pleas by spectators for her to accept the ring from her boyfriend who took a knee.

Unpleasantly, she reacted by pouring a bottle of water on the young man before walking away.

Femi Adebayo, a well-known actor, film maker and lawyer, recently shocked members of his team by gifting one of them, Yemi Akinlosotu, a new Toyota Corolla.

This comes after gifting his mother a Toyota Venza for her birthday days ago.

Adebayo was seen, una video shared on his Instagram, handing a brown envelope containing the car’s documentation to Akinlosotu, who works as a production manager with his J15 School of Performing Arts.

After receiving the envelope, the happy employee dropped on the ground and thanked his supervisor.

Femi stated that, he gave the worker the car as a token of appreciation for his dedication and hard work.

The actor said to PUNCH;

“Yemi, the employee I gave a car, graduated from J15 School about six years ago. He was the best student of his set and I employed him immediately.

“Since then, he has been very hardworking, loyal and committed to the job. I found out that his major need, for now, is a car.

“I wanted to appreciate his loyalty and hard work, and that is why I gave him the gift.

“I am still on the lookout for more of them and I pray the Almighty gives me the wherewithal to do more for other people that are loyal to Femi Adebayo as a brand and my company.”

Akinlosotu, appreciating his boss wrote;

“With joy in my heart, I want to say a big thank you to my boss, my father, my mentor, my everything, Femi Adebayo.

“I really don’t know what I have done to deserve this gift, sir. I have lost count (of) how many times I have wronged you, sir; ranging from lots of disappointment, destruction of properties and lots more.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress party (APC) and also a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming general elections, has promised to pay the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) fees for eligible students in Nigeria when he becomes the country’s president.

According to the presidential aspirant, his aim is to make sure no one is left behind in education.

Making the promise in a viral video on Instagram, Tinubu added that the symbol on his cap represents ‘breaking the shackles of poverty’; thus he was going to do just that as president, and also break the shackles of ignorance, banditry among others in the country.

Tundun Abiola, one of the daughters of late MKO Abiola, had an outburst on national TV on Wednesday morning after one of the supporters of Bola Tinubu's presidential aspiration made a reference to her late father during an interview.

Tundun had asked the Tinubu supporters to respond to the allegation made by a presidential aide, Babafemi Ojodu, that he has been threatened for not supporting the presidential aspirations of the National leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu.

Responding to the question, Ayodele Adewale said 

''Asiwaju will never send anybody to attack anybody and if anybody has said unprintable words against Mr Ojodu, the onus lies on him to prove that that person was actually from Asiwaju Tinubu and Mr Ojodu knows that Asiwaju will never do that. Asiwaju is very forgiving, even people who have wronged him.

If you permit me, I will always refer to him because I preserve his history and I have always worked to make sure all he deserves is given back to him and that is your dad, Chief MKO Abiola. 

It was on the streets of Lagos when some Airfoce officers slapped him and abused him. He was attacked by some military ratings. the Mad dog incident. Chief Abiola never raised a finger. He never even fought the military hierachy. He took it in as a leader and he forgave them''

''I just had this really insulting encounter with our previous guest and I am furious. My father is not the one running for President. That was in 1993. Why was he raised randomly?

That was completely out of order. I am completely furious. I can't even contain myself right now. 

I would defend my father. In recent times, I have been nauseated by the kind of revisionist history I have been subjected to. Everybody betrays that man constantly till today. How many times can you kill a man? What does he have to do with what we are discussing today? If their principal has not done enough to stand on his own two feet, that is hardly my fault or his fault. Invoking this man....

Fast-rising singer, Portable a.k.a Zazoo master, opens up to the famous dancer, Pocolee on how he ripped him off a second time.

It would be recalled that the singer once called out Pocolee for cheating him during their show together by taking a larger percentage of dollar bills sprayed on him.

In a recent declaration during a performance, Portable cleared the air as he revealed to the dancer that aside once cheating him on his cash returns, he also kept all the women to himself despite earning the fame together from his song.

Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has disclosed that he has two sons from different mothers.

During an interview with Jahbless Original Intelligence, Portable spoke about his private life.

He said he has many girlfriends professing love for him because of his new-found fame.

He added that he has a girlfriend he really loves and wants to marry but she is now "misbehaving" because of his new "glory".

Speaking about kids, he said he has two sons from two different women.

He said: "I have two boys, strong mafians."

Gloria Oloruntobi, better known as Maraji, has said men are not useful for anything except to get women pregnant.




The content creator, who recently got married and is pregnant with her first child, made this statement after her spouse failed to put the edible cowhide (pomo) she was to cook with in the fridge.





She said that when she asked him about it hours later, he told her he didn't know it was supposed to go in the fridge.




Reacting, she said in Pidgin English that women won't need men for anything if they could get pregnant on their own.

A mother 'forgot' her baby in a commercial bus while alighting in Imo state and efforts are being made to find the child's mother.

The driver of the bus said he picked up passengers from Ogbaku to Owerri, but on getting to Owerri, after every passenger alighted, the baby was left in his vehicle.

He took the baby to a media personality to make an announcement so that the mother or anyone who knows the baby can pick the child up.

Fake operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have been busted while conducting an illegal raid at Ughelli, Delta state.

The fake operatives include a younger and older man and they were spotted in handcuff after being nabbed.

The vehicle they reportedly use in carrying out the raid was also shown off after they were apprehended.

Comedian, Basketmouth, has berated operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, for arresting skit maker, Sunday Joshua aka De-General, over what he described as a ''pinch of weed''.

NDLEA operatives stormed DGeneral's home in Lagos on Wednesday January 12, and arrested him. A video of the operatives manhandling him after they invaded his home to arrest him was shared online. 

In a statement released, NDLEA said illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5kilograms of cannabis sativa were recovered from the skit makers house.

In a video shared on his Instastories, Basketmouth said Nigeria has bigger issues to contend with than arresting the skit maker. He said the NDLEA operatives know those who carry weed and that they should have ''small shame'' and stop embarrassing people.

A man has allegedly been caught with used baby diapers and sanitary pads he picked from a refuse dump in Rivers State.

The incident happened at Aleto community in Eleme Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

According to an eyewitness, Precious Obaa, the man, upon interrogation, claimed to be from Cross River state, adding that it was his first time picking the items.

Mr Obaa warned residents against disposing used diapers and pads in refuse bins.

""This is happening live in Aleto in Eleme local government area. Nigeria. We just caught one calabar man right now and the husa man escaped. Pls do not throw away your Pampers and pads in dustbin. Thank you Lord for exposing them." he wrote.

A water seller has been spotted in a viral video sharing money he had on him with prison inmates who were in a van waiting for a traffic light.




A photographer who shared the video on Instagram, said this happened in Ajah and the water seller gave out over 70% of the money he had on him. He added that he was impressed with the act of generosity.

A heated exchange ensued on TV after Director-General of Bola Tinubu Support Management Council, Abdulmumin Jibrin was asked about his principal’s age and how he amassed his wealth.




Arise TV journalist, Oseni Rufai who asked the question, stated that last he checked "Tinubu was an accountant at Mobil". He further asked how the former Governor of Lagos could amass so much wealth that "he could afford a bullion van" prior to an election at his home. 




Responding to the question, Jibrin stated that emphasis should be on what Tinubu has achieved, how he turned around the revenue of Lagos and infrastructural development. 




Again, he was asked ” how did Bola Tinubu make so much money that he had a bullion van in his home on election day. And how old is he?”
 

Mr Jibrin in his response said:




“When you continue to repeat the question, you will get the same answer. These are all trash from the internet that people put together and we will not elevate such conversation.

“But when the campaign commences, we will bring out facts and figures before Nigerians but we will not create a narrative for them.”


When he was asked again, he questioned the journalist’s professionalism while asking the interviewer to “tolerate his response.” “I responded, if you don’t like the way I responded to it, you move on,” he said.
 

Mr Jibrin had earlier during the interview said being a good leader is not a function of age. He said;
 

“You can be a young man and be a bad leader, a young man well educated and be a bad leader and you can be an old man of 70 years even above and be a very good leader…The most important thing is capacity and competence.”




On the eve of the 2019 general elections, viral pictures on social media showed two bullion vans driving into Mr Tinubu’s residence.




Tinubu later admitted the bullion vans were conveying money to his house, but defended his action, saying he did nothing wrong because he was not a government official.

A live video on Instagram has captured moment skit maker, D-General's house was invaded by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

While D-General was seen talking calmly with supposed leader of the team about access to his apartment in the first slide of the videos obtained, the second and third slides captured a heated exchange about the operatives being filmed.

The heated exchange degenerated to assault after a phone used to film the operatives was knocked off, but it’s unclear who the victim was.

Deeper Life church’s founder, Rev. William Kumuyi has reacted to claim of lowering his church’s “standard of holiness” following the people he invited for a program.

Recall that a former Deeper Life Pastor, Gideon Akande had called out Kumuyi for inviting 'Philistines' to a program in the church.

The Philistines according to Mr Akande are renowned entrepreneur and former Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria, Ibukun Awosika, gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan, and co-founder of Andela, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji.


Reacting to the claim, Kumuyi stated that he only invited people who are experts in their fields and who can connect to young people who the program is meant for.


He also stated that he shouldn’t be looking at if those invited are members of his church, but rather at if they will impact and make young people greater than them in their field.

Kumuyi further claimed that those accusing his church of lowering standard of holiness do not know the caliber of people who were invited, but are only judging them based on their own understanding and appearance.

The Pastor also said though there is freedom of speech in the country, some people speak from an “undeveloped mind”.

Ahmed, the 12-year-old boy the Nigerian Grammy award winner, Wizkid, promised a record deal and a cash gift of N10 million, says he wouldn’t be begging on the streets if the music star had blessed him with the gift as reported.

Crying and begging Nigerians for help, the young boy revealed that his father is late, and that he is now saddled with the responsibility of feeding his mother that is why he sings for people on the street to raise money.

Ahmed’s expression follows multiple reports and witnesses claiming that Wizkid had kept to his promise to him, but his parents misused the 10m gift.

He said if anything happens to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu while in DSS custody, Nigeria will collapse.

He said Nnamdi Kanu's agitation for Biafra is as a result of bad governance.

He added that those in power should be the ones in custody because of bad leadership.

He also said that Nigeira will collapse if a northerner is made the next president of the country.

Speaking during a sermon at the adoration ground in Enugu State, Mbaka said: "The issue of after Buhari, the North should lead again, President Buhari should better plan well and hand over to the South, but if the north wants to take over, this country will collapse.

"There may be no Nigeria again if the President, because of whatever, tries to hand over power back to the north. After Buhari, the Northerners should forget about leadership in this coming political era.

"If they try to make a northerner next President, disaster will happen, going forward will be impossible, going back will be a dream. Anyhow they want to do the political maneuvering, they should make sure that justice prevails."


He added: "The spirit of the Lord has asked me to say this because they have what it takes to plant a northerner. Buhari should remember that Nigerians trusted him when he came in and he should remember that one day, he is leaving that place."

A Nigerian female preacher, Evangelist Linda has claimed that she was taken to hell by God and was shown some Pastors who didn't make heaven.

Linda claimed that God told her that the Pastors are "leaders of fake denominations" and were given an assignment by the devil.

Pleas to grant leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu a presidential pardon, has been shut down by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Though President Buhari had in November 2021 promised to consider the request of some leaders from the South East region to release Kanu who is facing treason charges preferred against him by the Nigerian Government, in an interview with Channels Television which was aired on Wednesday Janaury 5, the Nigerian President said Kanu must answer for his actions over the years, especially while he was out of the country.

Accusing Kanu of abusing his administration while in Europe "as if he was not a Nigerian", the President said he won't be interfering in judicial responsibilities.

He said;


“Nigerians know that I don’t interfere with the judiciary.

“Let him be listened to. For those who are saying that we should release him, no we cannot release him.

“There is a possibility of political solution; if people behave themselves, all well and good, but you can’t go to a foreign country and keep on sending incorrect economic and security problem against your country and thinking that you will never have to account for what you have been doing. Let him account for what he has been doing.

“There is one institution that I wouldn’t dare interfere with – that is the judiciary.

“Kanu’s case is with the judiciary, but what I wonder is when Kanu was safely in Europe abusing this administration and mentioning too many things, I never thought really he wants to voluntarily come and defend himself on the accusations.

“So, we are giving him an opportunity to defend himself in our system, not to be abusing us from Europe as if he was not a Nigerian. Let him come here to us and then criticise us here.”

The President also noted that he doesn't believe Nigerians really want the country to disintegrate as we are better off together. Buhari claimed that Nigerians make noise about separation because they want better things.

Mrs Oromoni, mother of late Sylvester Oromoni, the 11-year-old student of Dowen college has cried out to God to avenge the death of her son.

This comes hours after the Lagos state government exonerated the five pupils and teachers arrested over Sylvester's death. The state's Director of Public Prosecution in a letter written to the police and the court trying the case said the autopsy result did not prove that Sylvester was murdered. The DPP also stated that the toxicology result did not find any harmful substance in late Oromoni's body. 

In a video released this afternoon, Mrs. Oromoni who could not hold back tears, prayed for God to fight for her and cut short the lives of all those who cut short the life of her son. An aggrieved Mrs. Oromoni went on to pray that God should cut short the lives of all those supporting her son's killers and make them feel the pain that she is feeling.

''This battle that is on ground is of the lord. Everlasting living God, the creator of heaven and earth, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the owner of the whole planet, the God who created the whole universe will surely avenge the death of my son, Sylvester Oromoni jnr.

Activist Amara The Lesbian has revealed that her former lesbian partner, Uyai Ikpe-Etim was once married to a man as she released their chats in her defence, while also calling out gay activist Mathew Blaise for being “manipulative”.

Amara who was countering Uyai’s claim of subjecting her to abuses, disclosed that she decided to go public with her truth so “it can set her free”.

The activist confirmed that she and her main partner, Olayinka were in a relationship with Uyai, but disclosed that the younger sister of actress Nse Ikpe-Etim asked them both out.

Accusing Uyai of weaponizing her mental health in her former marriage with a man and with lesbian activist, Pamela who was also formerly married to a man, she alleged that Uyai never worked in any of her lesbian relationships.

Accusing Uyai of pinning abuses she and her main partner, Olayinka subjects each other to in the first two years of their relationship on her, she also wondered why the younger actress’ would say she pronounced her a lesbian even though she was 29 while she (Amara) was 23 at the time they met.

Asides accusing Uyai of torturing and abusing her ex-husband, she also described her as “manipulative”.

Also calling out gay rights activist Mathew Blaise, she disclosed that she began withdrawing from him because he was allegedly manipulative too. She disclosed that Mathew left his bills for them even though he knew they were struggling. Amara further disclosed that her main partner, Olayinka also witnessed same.

Jim Iyke has admitted that his much publicised fight with Uche Maduagwu was orchestrated for publicity.

The actor made this known during an interview with Chude Jideonwo.

Months ago, Uche Maduagwu questioned Jim Iyke's source of wealth and Jim tracked Uche down and attacked him for the insult on social media.

However, because Jim Iyke had released a movie with a similar storyline, many concluded it was a stunt to promote his movie.

Jim has now admitted that it was indeed a stunt.

He said he and his team came up with the plan and Uche Maduagwu was contacted and paid well for it.

The actor said he is too "strategic" to "jeopardize" the success of his film by actually getting into a real fight with Uche Maduagwu.

He explained that he understands the thirst Nigerians have for gossip and bad news so he decided to tap into that to promote his movie.

The Imo State Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma has broken his silence on issues revolving around alleged attacks on his government and person by former Governor of the State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha.
 

Sen. Okorocha had accused the Imo State Governor of witch-hunting his family since his emergence as Governor. But during the 6th Imo State Stakeholders meeting held in Government House Owerri, Governor Uzodimma said he would not join issues with Okorocha, whom he described as not willing to abdicate the office of Governor after years of leaving office.
 

“I have said it times without number I have no personal grouse with anybody. All of you who know me well in Imo state, I tried one time or the other to contest election. In some cases, I won. In some cases, I did not win. And when I didn't win, I left back for my businesses. When I won, I served the people with all my heart.

“I have many former Governors in Imo state, I have Governor Achike Udenwa. I have Governor Ikedi Ohakim. Emeka Ihedioha; former Governor, Okorocha; former Governor. But none of them want to take the whole State as a private property.

“The difference between the other former Governors and Okorocha is that he is out of office but he still wants to be in office. Okorocha is a younger brother to me. I'm older than him, if not for anything, traditionally I deserve to be respected by him. I don't want to join issues with him. Let him just know that he is not the Governor and for the short period I will be here God-willing, he should allow me to be Governor," Uzodimma said.
