TheSuperNerd:
Oga Haaland is not better than Osimhen. That is the truth. You can argue from planet to planet but he is no better. They can be put at par but no way is he better.nada!!

And when you say young, did you put a Cap on their ages, genius? Lol... Did you say Best U-20 Striker in the world? grin As far as the footba world is concerned, any body 23 and under is as young as the next 18 years old.

And Haaland just began his career with Dortmund both off the bench. Let the lad have his run from the start and we will really see his quality. Afterall... Osimhen was also averaging a goal every 45mins immediately after his debut in Ligue 1 and from the start too. Lol... Let Haaland play ball well first before you begin making noise because I also rate and Love Haaland.

As for Odegaard... I just gave you a list of other fine young AMs. You can cancel yourself out with it coz you can see you uttered total rubbish. Lol grin

And uhmmm.. are De Bruyne and Eriksen 23?? Alli is still 23 and under. And stop calling Odegaard a real Madrid kid... He is not!!! Zaniolo is a Roma wonderkid playing for Roma!!! Ia Odegaard playing for Madrid??!! Jeeez!! Stop the Calumny abeg.
Oga Haaland is better than Osimhen. Haaland at 19 is scorring 28 goals in 22 matches which is alarming

Others "certain to/likely to/that may" come into the picture with time:

- David Okereke (CF)
- Stephen Odey (CF)
- Ebere Eze (AM)- Once he is available after this whole "U-21 smokescreen" episode.
- Dominic Iorfa Jr (CB)
- Tyronne Ebuehi (RB) - Once he starts getting decent playing time again.
- Umar Sadiq (CF)
- Olanrenwaju Kayode (CF) - A far fringe player that may work his way back depending on circumstances.
- Osaze Urhoghide (RB)
- Any of the German-born Naija lads who changes their mind and declares for us like Jordan Torunarigha, Felix Uduokhai, Kevin Akpoguma.
- etc.... etc.... Etc..... (Time no dey to mention all)

From the above we can clearly see the areas that need strengthening in our darling Super Eagles team and we can safely say we are super packed in quality on the LW

The AM role takes topmost priority, followed by the Goalie role, then the fullbacks roles... Then others can follow. The CM role will soon have Ejaria added to give Aribo that competition which gives us mad depth but another can still be sought to further deepen the quality depth. Azeez Ramon is also there for backup.

Alhassan Yusuf needs to be considered. He is wanted by european clubs and making waves in sweeden. He is only 19 and he is a box to box or central midfielder

I think it is better for Ahmed Musa to play as a free roaming striker as that role fits him better. His final ball from the wings is poor. However as a striker, he still has it. His speed, skill, mobility, movement, finishing and aggression are phenomenal.
We still need Musa because of experience. He has done it in the world cup before and when we get to a world cup quarterfinal we might need him to come off the bench and do something special.
Musa is not a bad player but as i said, he is better as a free roaming striker. check out his two games against Argentina in the 2014 and 2018 world cup and his game against Ireland. Experience make you stand up to the big occasion. We will need him until 2022 and then we can think of totally dropping him. Every team needs experienced players. You cant win with 100% kids.
Every winning team needs experienced players. They may or may not be the most talented but you can't buy experience.
The yorubas say
"A child may have more clothes than an elder but he does not have the rags of an elder".
Musa is even still 27 or 28.
These ademola lookmans or chukwueze might be more talented by musa BUT they do not have his rags which is experience, mental strength, winning mentality and composure. These things matter as much as talent

ChrisKels:
It is about time Musa does the honorable thing, yes he has had his time and could(debatable) be termed a legend, but, with the emergence of Kalu, SiMoses, Ejike, Onyekuru and now Ademola on that left wing, I don't see why he should still be getting an invite from the Arabian Gulf league

Nigerian players like kelechi nwakali alhassan ibrahim (who plays like Kanu) do not make it in Europe because they have bad agents and not talent. I think European teams treat our players like shit and it is unfair. Something needs to be done about the way our players transfer to European clubs. There is a structural problem somewhere that is not necessarily the players fault.
It is soo bad and persistent it needs to be studied by a social scientist in a University.
It might have to do with exploitation, poverty, greed and ignorance

He was born in Okija but moved to England with his family when he was ten years old. I want to ask can he play as a play maker and give Iwobi competition in that play maker or attacking midfielder role. How good is he and what is his best position. Somebody educate me

ChrisKels:
This Okija boy, Bright Osayi Samuel, who has long pledged his allegiance to Nigeria, but was surprisingly overlooked by our recent Dream Team handlers, despite his exploits so far with the QPRs, is wanted by Southampton, according to -

Emmanuel Amunike will be a good option.
He has a Uefa coaching licence and has coached
Julius Berger, Ocean Boys (in Nigeria)
Al Khartoum (in Sudan)
Our u-17 in 2015 where they emerged victorious and he even
discoverd Victor Osimhen and Samuel chukwueze
Also he qualified Tanzania to the world cup
and so we should try him next.
He has at least demonstrated some coaching competence

We Africans need to develop our football and STOP relying on foreign born players. I see it as reaping where we did not sow. The idea that we need them is irritating as it smacks of poverty, colonialism, mental slavery and a very slavish attitude. We Africans need to focus on developing our young players. The problem is we do not know how to refine our young u-17 players into competent players. That can be handled if they sign for developmental clubs. Begging every tom, dick and harry to play for us is humiliating and condescending.
Black man, when will you rely on yourself?
Let us develop our Akinkunmi Amoo and Samson Tijani and be proud of them. Foreing born should be an after thought and not the main thing. There are people on this nairaland who think that Foreing born players are the best thing in the world and it is irritating. Africa has to go beyond this

charlesemeka85:
But fifa truly need to have a look in on this player switch palaver. I think the right thing to do is making a law where players that falls in this issue must be played in a certain number of competitive games and minutes in certain period of time maybe 1 year

If that is not achieved the player can easily switch to the other nation that needs him most. African nations re the one losing out in this switch of allegiance issue
