It's so unfortunate, after watching the clip I thought the gallant cop made it out in one piece. Those evil pot-belled police officers would only sit in there office and be claiming another man's glory. Thank God we have the leaked video, this is to show the world how misinforming the police can be. We've heard enough stories where they would shoot an innocent citizen and place a gun on him just to tag him an armed robber, they will be harassing young looking chaps and be tagging them yahoo yahoo.
The idiot that that drove those robbers was actually putting on a well tailored material dress,who would have suspected that such a gentle looking man is nothing but a bad man.
Police should be aware of this, looking mean or rough do not automatically make one a criminal,they should improve in there intelligence and stop harassing the innocents.

Oshodi under-bridge get a bus going to IYANA-IPAJA. ask around when u get to iyana-ipaja on where u will get a bus going to ayobo-ipaja.
N.B. before u would get to ayobo,the bus will drive through ipaja so that is why they usually pick people that is going to Ipaja and Ayobo together.
I think the last bus stop in ayobo is megida,confirm your bus stop to know where to alight please.

It is not in my practices, I don't do that and I won't start it now. I only want people to realize the pains that is been felt whenever an estimate is been drafted and clients will start beating down on the workmanship as if they would have preferred the contractor to render a free service. It is not also easy on the part of the contractors, that is there source of livelihood too.

It's so unfortunate that this trends has come to stay. However, I've been reading through the replies above but no one seems to put any portion of the blame to the CLIENT. From my own little dealings, I've met some clients that usually find it so difficult to pay for a job well done but if you ask them for 100k worth of materials(even if you won't need up to that) they will be quick to provide such.
Some clients would want to pay less and yet they will be demanding for a perfect job. let's use painting as a case study:
Painting processes includes;
SURFACE PREPARATION: This is an act of preparing a given building walls or ceiling for paint. it usually includes re-screeding of a non or bad screeded areas, sand-papering, taping or covering areas or things that u wouldn't want to be touched by paints and priming of the surfaces to be painted.
PAINTING: This is the job itself, it involves the application of your paint materials to the already prepared surface for painting.
MAINTENANCE: This is carried out after all the painting work might have been over. it includes the removal of the said masking tapes and doing every other general check ups to ensure a perfect result of the job.
All the above processes would take a painting contractor days,weeks or months (depending on how large the project is) to execute and he would definitely have to pays his workers on daily bases.
Clients should stop beating down the labour cost just because they feel that if Mr A won't handle a job for a certain amount then Mr B would be glad to do it for a token. Contractors usually feel they would always compensate with the outrageous quotation on materials. Some clients even see u as non competent when u have a reasonable quotation, they would rather trust those that will give them the reason to spend money on more materials and less in workmanship.
Remember to always blame the clients whenever you tend to blame the contractors please... it usually takes two to tango.

Tiles come in different shape and sizes... the conventional ones are the 30 by 30,40 by 40,60 by 60,25 by 40 etc. if a client settles for a 60 by 60 size of tile then in a pack of 60 by 60 tile we usually have about 4pieces of tiles of that 60 by 60 tile. A 60 by 60 tile will cover about 2 by 2ft on the floor. call me on 08166682048 for more clarification should you need any.

Tile varies so also does the cost of tiles... client should get a sample tile then the cost would be determined in a tile store.

calculating the square metre using ur stated 12 by 16ft measurement... u'll get about 17.9square meter but since you also stated that its a bit bigger than the 12" by 16" then we'll have to assume the extra space to be a another 1.1 square meter totalling 17.9 +1.1 =19 square metres. 19 divided by 1.5 will give u 12.7 so the total number of tile packs u'll need for that living room will be 13packs.
other materials includes 3 to 4 bags of cement, 7 head pans of sand and a packet of white cement. the the labour is between 350 to 400 per square meter. 400 x 19= 7600 for labour.
