A lot has been said of this year, prior to its arrival; does "Vision 2020" ring a bell? This is where we are presently. Irrespective of our failures or victories of the previous year, we all hope that this year will be better. I hope so too; I do hope so too. Making new year resolutions is usually the best way to begin a year. Irrespective of this however, I was eager to see our President's New Year message to Nigerians. As usual, it was quite an interesting composition; but I quickly noticed a dent on the message - there was virtually no address of unemployment in President Buhari's message. That's quite disheartening, considering that this a major concern for Nigeria in the face of its ever teeming unemployed university graduates. The main supposed opposition party, PDP, has come out to say that the President's message is "tasteless"; not because of its failure to address unemployment disappointedly or for any reasonable point, but for hypocritical reasons. It's just 2nd of January, and it doesn't seem the age long propositions of Nigeria's government's sponsored "Vision 2020" is anything that holds water. Let's don't expect much this year, Nigerians. It's already a waste of votes. The major parties have failed us and will not stop in their decadence. It is left to us to Jump off the band wagon, and ignite a seething revolution into full blaze. Let this year be a year of mental revolution. Let us work on our weaknesses and brace our minds against the manipulations and deceits of these corrupt parties and government. Work hard as usual, pray, hope and yearn to dump these gerontocrates for revolutionary thinkers.

I keep seeing the prophecies coming to past, even though I keep praying against them. Nigerians are lamenting of tyranny, violence has encroached into the South of Nigeria, Climate Change has become a serious issue and a First World country, Australia has been burning for almost a year. There is almost nothing else remaining. The Book of the prophecies will soon be closed because there is nothing else remaining. Nations are warring against nations; kingdoms are divided; the church is soiled, and in my visions no salvation came from it; households are broken; governments are failing; fear has taken over. Corruption will never cease; abomination is the present tradition of mankind.

I have seen strange happenings in the sky. People will rush out into the streets all over the world to see what is happening and there would be a massive congestion: the foundations of the sky will be broken at last and the world will be hit with a concrete threat of a great tsunami. The height of climate change has not been seen yet, and global warming will indeed become a global experience. Do not find solace in scientific knowledge concerning this happening. Even the scientists do not know what they are dealing with. No one knows, but great danger alone awaits us all both the rich and the poor, the small and the mighty, the sinner and the righteous. No one will be exempted.

I wish the scientists can truly help to mitigate the great happenings global warming will bring. But tell the scientists that they are wasting their time and energy. While the youths of the South and the man whose presence will spur their spirits rallied around me, all I did was cry and several youths joined my outcry, so, there was a profound lamentation in the land. All I wanted was death but the thought of her whom I love so dearly motivated me to tarry on this earth. Yet, I was in great distress.

Let no man blame his God for all that will befall him. We are the architects of our fate. The scientists are working hard to redeem the situation. This act of sympathy by APC is quite commendable. It is a demonstration that humanity is a huge reality that must be sustained irrespective of party differences.

However, from the head to the toe of this act, all I perceive is cruel hypocrisy and glaring mockery which only makes a barbaric chemistry. This is the same political party that is unrepentantly hesitant in sending swift condolences to victims of terror attacks in Northern Nigeria and other parts of the nation beleaguered by insurgency and crime profligacy. Here they are making a swift hijack of an ignoble opportunity to explore the woe of another. Politics of ours is a rotten mess.

Ah! I never knew Tonto Dikeh could be this calm headed in giving such a reply. This shows a significant level of acquired maturity. Well, I cannot absolutely say that I have conquered it all, but I can assure you that I've, at least, gained victory in certain insurmountable quarters of worldly desires and I thank Jesus Christ who has constantly enabled me with his grace. However, I've learnt a lesson along the way in my pursuit of God's righteousness and holiness: unless your desire for holiness is as strong as a burning coal, you cannot achieve righteousness. I can remember how strong I yearned to be pure like Jesus, not just because I'm a Christian, but because I realized that that is the only way I could live a life of absolute quality. It wasn't easy going, and every now and then I prayed to Jesus for grace to help me achieve my desire. I wasn't really into fornication, but my sex urge for alarmingly crazy. I lusted for women in my enclosures, and I could strip any woman naked with my wild imaginations. I believed I wasn't normal. Yes, I believed I was sick and negatively crazy, and I did so many things I detested in secret. I prayed, I failed; I prayed, I failed again, and I asked God why. I cried every time because I couldn't help myself and God's help wasn't coming forth. Sometimes when I failed, I inflicted myself with knife injuries; countless times it was that way. But all I did not realize was that God was knowingly letting me pass through the fire of experience. One time He spoke to me, "The best of men are mould out of faults. So don't stop fighting, I'm watching you." I continued undauntedly. Today, I've overcome the lust of the flesh. Although their are still many grounds to cover for Jesus, I am happy for coming this far through his drops of grace.

More so, I will encourage everyone out there who is going through this challenge to also summon the courage of speaking out. Talk to a trusted friend about what you're going through. Sometimes we can find help in odd places. I began experiencing tremendous spiritual growth when I met my fiancée. Although she was raised in a Christian home, she is not the usual God-oriented stereotype. As modest as she is in the things of God, she will compel you to be the best human possible in character and personality. I had to come open to her and let her know my faults, and gradually I was lifted by her constant counsels. My mom was also there for me and my aunty, Martina. God just used these persons to administer extra dose to my soul.

This prophecy sounds intelligent, at least, with its concrete figures and plausible speculations, unlike the 'kitchen prophecies' of Nigeria's 'men of the most high goD'.

I'm amazed by this move. This shows that we still have well meaning agencies with people-minded orientation here in Nigeria. This is an honest Democratic move, but I won't be surprised seeing the sitting government tolling a political reaction against it.
