In nigeria, it is always "them say". The fact that they said it did not "penetrate" does not mean that is what actually happened. Humans lie and NIGERIANS are KINGS when it comes to lieing so why would you believe what they said. I maintain the jazz is fake and the initial shot was a miss. Olodo. Do you know the history of crude oil at all. Texas, California, Alaska, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, etc are sitting on massive amounts. The U.S has always been producing all this while, they only import to SUPPLEMENT demand. The reason they have reduced importation is partly due to the increased production from shale discoveries and freakin democrats. What is this one saying. You want me to think of the flood as a mystery? Number one, I haven't said that the flood didn't exist. My issue is with Noah's Ark, its size, and the feasibility of housing all animals for one year. Number 2, the mysteries that I mentioned have been witnessed. The NOAH's Ark flood (or as you call it, a mystery) is detailed accounts of what SOME MEN wrote. None of us witnessed it. Why should I just believe it?

We can see from verse 2 that the the entire earth was flooded initially before God separated the waters above from the one below and had to gather the one below to one place before land could appear.
The question is, could the person who separated the waters initially not flood it again?

You miss the point totally. The question is not whether it is/was written in the Bible. The question is the "authenticity" of the story. Is this so hard to decipher?

Believing, relying and calling on deities/gods for quick signs without following a written document don't come just like that without proper dedication to certain ordinances and doing rituals. 2. The Bible clearly states the earth is round.
3. Connecting the heavens to earth does not necessarily have to be in a literal sense. The bible is like some cipher, and trying to interpret it literally would only send you in all wrong directions. And on the flip side, travelling say from Lagos to planet Saturn in few hours or days might actually even be possible by humans in the future via "worm holes". I figure the intelligent creator/designer of all creations call him God, call whatever, believe in him or not, would sure have even a smarter way/technology.

Why is it a cipher. Why should it be hard to understand. Why can't it be easy to understand so everyone makes heaven. Why do we need special people to decipher it? Are we not all equal? Usually when you need specific people to decipher "things" there is a hidden agenda.

oiseworld: If what you want is the measurement and size of the ship, then go back to the Bible it gives accurate measurement of the size of the ark. We have ships today that can house every animal in the world. If it can be done now then it could be done then.

Anyway, I admire your opinion even though I oppose it. Is it wrong for me to question "the people" you say were inspired by God if a lot of the things they wrote down seem unbelievable? The reason I question it is because history has shown us that our ancestors are big time liars and they used to use fear to control people. We have this in African history. The only difference is that our African ancestors did not document ours in a book form. We have Sango who use to throw lightning to name a few. A lot of people claim this is false. Would they have believed our African folklore if it had been coined in a book and sold to us by the same people who brought the likes of Noah's Ark?

I do not think anyone disputes that NOAH's ARK was built. Heck, the title of the thread is "how big was it"
The question is how possible would it have been to build an ark so big, it would house all the animals for one year amongst other things.

What makes His words stay is the supernatural which brings spiritual rebirth and transformation of minds, and works of miracles made possible by anchoring one's faith in Him, esp by people who are diligently seeking Him.Do you believe in Spiritualism and divination at all? If your answer is yes you and your likes must not doubt existence of God, and the fact that His word is still being given to people inspired by Him.

You wont get answers. The people on here will only tell you to just BELIEVE. The same way they believed every single story their colonizers and slave masters brought to them. If this trend continues, there will be less and less people that believe in the Bible and in the distant future, people will do away with it. MAN wrote LACOMBES (heard from the old timers that book used to be hard) and people used it in primary school. If LACOMBES had written 2 + 2 = 7 without any proof, would anyone have believed it. Would faith LEAD you to believe 2 + 2 = 7?
