Sun of god:You've also ignored death rate. People die like chickens everyday. How many people live past 60yrs nowadays in naija. The death rate won't let it get that high |
agnesefe:I wonder who go win grammar between you and that Obaigena senator. Bruh chill out na. Your engris is too much |
The fact that it's the oldest profession doesn't make it an accept standard of human endeavour. It's just like armed robbery, kidnapping, militancy and other crimes,if you can't do them, then don't preach them.Government should provide jobs for people, raise the standard of living and reduce the cost of living instead of encouraging poor nigerians to resort to body trade. Will any nigerian elite allow his family associate with prostitution ?
As far as i am concerned, if you practice pre-marital and/or extra marital sex, you are not excluded from the moral implications. We keep saying it as if these prostitutes are doing things that are out of this world. 99% of the population does exactly the same thing. The only difference is that with prostitutes, there is an exchange of currency. If you pick up chics in clubs, malls, etc and have sex with them, so that is okay because you did not exchange money? Go to the villages where we claim the so-called high moral values, there are teenage pregnancies all over the place. Lets stop acting holier than thou. We all do the nasty nasty and yet we try to make prostitutes look immoral. You are exempt if you are married and only stick to one partner!! |
How can you be so sure of that ? These girls are just regular lowl ife and for from being ''comfortable'' as some of you think. Why would a woman feel good sleeping with a dozen men per day if she had what she needed to make life comfortable for her ? Abi you don see governors or ministers' children for road before ?
Actually i have and hence my statement. I know poverty has something to do with it but lets not kid ourselves. Even if poverty is COMPLETELY ERADICATED, we will still have prostitution in Nigeria. There are girls who do it for free!! Some of those women that you say sleep with 12 men can chose not to and get other jobs that will probably not pay as much. I am not judging, i am just saying that it is more of "the easy money that it brings" and not necessarily absolute poverty. Some girls will chose to work at mr biggs and manage life while others would rather sleep with men. Some have no choice, i understand but lets stop generalizing. Prostitution is the oldest profession and will continue to exits, Poverty or Not |
O boy girl don catch you mugu.so because you see a very beautiful girl with bling bling holding a Blackberry torch means she is not from a poor home ? Even if nigeria had the lowest poverty rate in the world, we would still have prostitutes. Prostittution is not the last resort for poverty but people still do it anyway becasue it is "easy" money. I used unilag because a lot of those girls are not suffering from "abject poveryt". Yes they may not have much in their households but definitely not as the earlier poster put it. Please try to address the topic, posts, rseponses etc and remove me from it okay. |
morufoye:Says who? How many of the aristo girls in Unilag were forced to do what they do due to "abject poverty" Just incase you didn't know, carrying aristos is also prostitution. |
I see no reason why prostitution shouldn't be legalized. We Already condone and approve it so why not legalize it. Yes, i said we approve of prostitution, we are just living in denial. If it is okay for me to go to a club, buy a girl drink with the hopes of getting her in bed, then prostitution should be legalized - no difference. If i buy a girl a blackberry knowing she will sleep with me, how is it different from prostitution? If i take a girl out to the palms or silverbird with the sole intention of bedding her, how is it different. The only difference is that with prostitution, the "goods" are openly sold without any pretence. I mean lets be realistic. 2 consenting adults should be allowed to do as they please provided it is in their own private time/place. Girls that sleep with men for favors, blackberrys, grades, movies etc are no different from prostitutes. The only difference is that what the prostitutes do is termed "illegal" because they are exchanging sex for money. BBs, movies etc na the same thing. Prostitution should have been legalized like 100 billion years ago. Legalize the damn thing and lets stop pretending |
^^^^^^^ Seems you guys have forgotten so quickly. This was one of the reasons for the public outroar against this "concession" A question was posed as to why the masterplan didn't just make use of "flyover bridgers" and LCCs answer was that it would be too expensive. So at the end of the day, all they want is to make profit and not alleviate traffic. No sane company would build that road without flyovers. The only reason there is traffic is due to the fact that lekki is congested. If you put"choke" points on a congested road, you will keep getting traffic. EVen if they expand the road to 50 thousand lanes, those roundabouts will always cause traffic. They are just a bunch of thieves. I wonder what their slogan will be when they start collecting tolls maybe something like this "We are charging you for the beautification of your road and not for faster travel times that we promsised" !! |
Osama10:While carfax or autochecks tell you about the cars history, it is no guarantee. The best guarantee is still physical inspection and test driving the car yourself. A lot of cars that come up as clean on carfax and autocheck don't necessarily indicate they have a "pure" life. Some accidents dont get reported!! Also people should stop getting scared when a car is reported as salvage title. It doesn't mean the car is scrap. If it is scrap, then it would be "certificate of destruction" Salvage simply means the cost of repairing it (to manufacturer standards) exceeds the current value. For this reason, a car with a fender bender might also be tagged salvage. Insurance companies don't want to waste money buying new parts so tthey'll value it salvage. Naija dealers can simply get the fender from a salvage yard and have the car fixed. It'll drive as good as any other clean title vehicle!! |
I believe this is all a simple case of distraction. Political ploy by the powers that be! Cause chaos in the country and pave the way for a MILITARY COUP to assure the nation of security. This Northern Politicians want power at all costs. I hope Nigerians are watching and listening. We will not accept any disguised coup. If these Northerners try any nonsense, they will be doomed cause Nigeria will split |
If the name and account don't match, the money should never have been paid in. PERIOD. The bank is 100% liable. |
@ OP Where are the "JEEPS" in the picture. I see none. |
Baba Iyabo to the rescue. I wont be surprised if Boko Haram stops bombing naija after this "coded" visit |
How is this a SW issue exactly? Last time I checked, Kano was in the North killing NIgerians, which makes this a nigerian issue. Correct me if i'm wrong, but since when did OPC become police or army unit or navy unit or. . . . ?
It is a SW issue because the SW is the only one that can send them a message that will be loud and clear. |
Indians are just as bad as Nigerians. Corrupt, think they are smarter than everyone else (same as naija) when in essence they are dumb. The only difference btw naija and india is they are 10 times more than us and the c****ry smell. finito. They cut corners in everything. Thye would prolly build some fake chinese type hospital anyway. |
Bliss4Lyfe:Okay this is just rude. Did you really need to type in all CAPS, with the "BOLD" |
Okay, here's a drastic but simple solution to the problem because it's now out of hand. The Southwest should stop being cowards and end this nonsense immediately. If OPC and co start eliminating Hausas and Fulanis in the south west in retaliation. When that happens, the silent Muslim north population will come out and stand againts this boko nonsense. They either do that or just repatriate their people from the south. Don't let anyone deceive you, the muslim north, as far as i am concerned, condone boko haram 100%. Why are they so silent about the issue. We need to start killing them too. Either the problem gets solved or we simply destroy the nation. Wetin |
kabukabu50:pulleaase. PLASTICS PLASTICS PLASTICS. At least omotola doesn't have access to hollywood surgeons and she's still spanking. Most naija men wouldn't mind having omotola as their wife. Too much bad belle and beeef |
There is no basis for this in Nigeria. PERIOD. Life expectancy in Nigeria is approx 50 for males in Nigeria so where the hell is the population explosion coming from. As a matter of fact, anyone that has less than 2 kids should be charged to court. The rule should be if you have less than 3 kids, you will go to jail. ![]() This oyinbo people want to stop us from taking over the world abi. |
Okay so how does the runaway guy that gets imprisoned help the situtation. Will he now help in Prison? Stop doing copy copy. Face Lagos road repairs. This is the least of the problems in Lagos |
ayusman16:Not possible. The reason Yoruba muslims are peaceful is because they embrace western education. Northern counterparts on the other hand, abohr western education. It is really simple. If the northern counterparts embrace civilization and stop hating western education (thereby reducing their illiteracy levels), they would just be like their yoruba counterparts. We know that is not gonna happen in our lifetime anyway. |
Hotie Tima:You are the same person that stated that this african idea is archaic yet you don't want to grow up. If you are old enough to get married, move to your husbands house and then end up in a fight that requires you to leave your matrimonial home, you BETTER FIND AN APARTMENT TO RENT. Why on earth would you want to return to your parents house. If you cant stay in your husbands house, get your own place. GROW UP. GAAADEMMMIT. |
Desola:With the right amount of emulsifier and rpm, hells yeah. ![]() |
^^^^^^^ It only takes a couple of minutes to read the post. HABA READ READ READ. WIKIFREAKN LEAKS THAT OCCURED A WHILE BACK. hanhan |
Beaf:hmm at 4.35 per mmbtu. i dont think so. maybe in 500 years |
GenBuhari:See why nigerian graduates are unemployaable. You are an illiterate. Obasanjo stole $100 billion dollars abi. Yet Nigeria is still standing. Naija must be really rich ooo. E be like say we go rich pass yankee sef. Olodo! So you're saying Nigeria Airways just packed up immediately under obasanjo abi. It wasn't a gradual death from past administration right? Please highlight the policies that abacha used to reduce inflation? What was our foreign reserve like during Abacha's period when compared to OBJ. OBJ is corrupt, yes, but your analysis is that of a child that never went to school. Did Abacha clear up any of our foreign debt? Lets stop thinking with our yansh juh |
StarRise:Well NEPA probably "took light" during the incident and the attack happened before the generators were able to kick in. They expected the backup batteries to work but they later realized that they the batteries were imported from china and as such were fake. Hence no CCTV footage. Naija o ni baaje ooooo. . ![]() |
@ OP, You made a serious blunder here. All you had to do was tell your husband that your dad called and "said you should tell him that he is coming to visit you guys" You can go as much as saying maybe network issues prevented him from reaching your husband or sumthing. What did you expect your father to say. We are talking about an African man here. We have Pride. This is a man who has his own home so his first reaction would be y do i have to specifically call your husband? If i tell you, isn't that the same thing as informing your husband? At least he didn't just show up at your door. He respected you both by telling you. You have turned a small issue into a big one. You better find how to calm things down |
Johnie Thanks for all your hard work, as per the Ajah market I fairly know the road, the way it is at the moment, 30m will take off the bus garage and also the so called market, not sure if it can be relocated anywhere near as you have the Baale's palace on the other side, saying that on the other side of the road, you have a lot of pylons which can be moved, but I do agree, the presence of the market etc makes the place a bottleneck due to cars stopping to buy wares off the road and public transport buses making a stop too. I have not been in Lekki in 10 months now, but I want to know where you pass Johnie to avoid Ajah, lets assume that I'm coming from Abraham Adesanya, how else can I get to V.I and not get stuck in traffic, I hear of the beach road, but you can only go there with a strong jeep I heard. Do you know any shortcuts Johnie ? Lastly, anyone knows where the road works have reached now, when I was last in the area they were in Jakande but however, hastly building the next toll at Chevron. Is the road still a nightmare, lets say I am coming from phase 1 and going to Abraham Adesanya, what is the commute like at the moment ? Thanks in advance
my advice is that if you need to use the beach road, make sure you have a 4 wheel drive SUV. A lot of SUV's are 2wd's and can also get stuck in some of those "holes" dug by touts! Ive seen people get stuck and they simply have that look on their faces "but i am driving a jeep na, why i come jam". Most of those minis while make it but on a bad rainy day, men unless you have a touraeg, armada, GL, Q5,Q7 and the main awd trucks you better stick you murano,rav4 and the rest to the lekki toll way. . . lol |
Why can't the musicians release "radio versions" You can curse for all you care on the CD or unrated video. All you have to do is make a radio version that complies whith broadcasting rules. If you comply with the rules, there would be no reason for any ban. If a radio clean version is banned, then the artists can sue them to court. CREATE RADIO VERSIONS and stop blaming "bad belle" |
Thread gone cold! |
seanet02:You are the real odechukwhu here. Did the numerous warnings prevent 9/11 from happening in the United States? Did the warnings prevent the embassies from being blown up in Kenya? UN buildings get threats all the time. If they had solid info let them tell us exactly what it was. Suicide bombing is extremely hard to prevent since the perpetrator is willing to die. The easiest way is to stop it before it occurs. Did the UN have any info as to where the plans were being materialized? Abeg leave the president out of this. |
