I'm not sure this is a good idea. It's good that they're trying to fix Bayelsa, but I don't see how this won't be just a waste of money in most of the other states in the federation. Who says the other 35 states all have one "overpopulated" city? Ibadan, Lagos,Kano, and a few others might be overpopulated, but in general, I don't think this is true for most of the Nigerian states. Also, what level of infrastructure will these new towns have? If they make these new cities into paradises, then there will definitely be less congestion and people will flock there, but if there is not much commercial/economic activity and investment in the new cities by private (non-governmental) individuals and businesses, the whole thing will be a white elephant project. |
lol@ 10% Ijaw. |

The Economist is a very informative magazine, even if it is somewhat biased (a pro-Western bias). I don't keep up with it regularly or subscribe, but I get the most interesting ones. |
On a serious note, check out the Huffington post. It's not just news. Some interesting discussions on there. |
Men don't "group". They can't be groupies. They hunt and track down the object of their obsession alone, following her from dark alleyways at night and springing up out of nowhere for one-on-one confrontations and forced autographs. |
sule sule:The friendliness makes them think you'll be easier to get in bed. It's that simple. |
bala3:You probably only noticed how attractive he was when you realized how much of a prick he was. It happens to some women. |
BABE!:So if you were a celebrity, you wouldn't be creeped out by a male "groupie" who was as crazy about you as female groupies are about their favorite male celebrities? All groupies are female from my observation, whether the celebrity involved is male or female, and the men that are "groupies" aren't usually heterosexual. All the other non-gay men obsessed with any female star to the point where they could be called "groupies" are just stalkers. |
Half empty. Tuface drank the other half already. I'll move on. |
BABE!:I do mind. |
*edited* My apologies. |
Men can't be groupies. Only stalkers. |
So she had a kid by Tuface. ![]() I think I'm done lusting now. |
Kilode?!:Oh yeah, you're right it is her. Annie Macaulay. I just reread that thread. |
She looks a lot like one of the girls in that video, but I'm not sure it's the same woman because I read that this one is a Nollywood actress: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-634417.224.html#msg8029442 Could be the same, but I wouldn't know. Don't even know her name. ![]() |
BABE!:I'm a man. Of course I say so. |
omanzo02: ? This just sounds funny. As though Kwarans were some kind of inferior form of humanity or something. ![]() |

There's an exception to every rule. But in general, men are allergic to crying and other pitiful displays of emotion. It's Man Law. |
BABE!:God? We're talking about men here. Jesus is an incarnation of God. |
aribisala0: @ the part in boldlol, you're probably right, but I'm sure there were some societies where they knew/know why they practiced much of what they did, so not everything will just be an opinion. |
In lust, actually (I don't know anything about her). But there isn't a green face icon for an erection, so I settled for expressing happiness. |
@ topic, No. Men hunt, make war, drink beer and get laid. Crying is not allowed. |
He should quit. Past his prime. |
aribisala0:With regard to circumcision, I think you could actually find out the purpose of the circumcision just by asking people/elders of the particular African societies where it was practiced. I personally think it's also aesthetic, but claiming that the marks distinguish a person as being from a certain group does seem more plausible. . . |
These particular kind of marks might have something to do with imitating the appearance of certain animals that were held in high esteem: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-582176.192.html#msg7956336 |

and that was why Jesus cried!
