The classic anime movie Akira is pretty violent. It's also a very good movie as well. Darker than Black: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darker_than_Black I consider this an anime with a very good setup/story and interesting characters. Also Black Butler and the vampire anime Black Blood Brothers have some violence. |
Also check out "Speed Grapher". Pretty weird story but there's some violence in there as well and the storyline does have its interesting moments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_Grapher Also, the ones others have already mentioned: Elfen Lied (which has a great story), Berserk, Ninja Scroll. I also recommend Deadman Wonderland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadman_Wonderland There's a lot of violence in there as well. Although the series is short, it's pretty entertaining. |
Watch the anime "Basilisk": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilisk_%28manga%29 The storyline is brilliant and the deaths are all ingenious/clever but savage and violent. |
afam4eva: It can't possibly be because i've seen numerous northerners bearing that name.Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I just thought there might have been a connection. |
shymexx: Your signature is suspect!Have you actually listened to the song? It's one of the deeper/more meaningful R&B songs I've heard in a very long time. Listen to the song, come up with your interpretation of it, and then get back to me about what's suspect about it. In fact the album it's on (channel orange) is pretty good overall and a lot better than a lot of the trash out right now. Also check out Ocean's songs "We All Try" and "Pink Matter" - those are other favorites of mine right now. If your comment was about the singer, I also like the song "Rocket Man" by Elton John. If I listed that song in my signature would that also be suspect? Good music is good music, even if you don't support the artist's life choices. |
AjanleKoko: Seriously? naijababe: Trust me Edo man, forget what you are reading here. Most will choose hips over looks, why do you think some fone and britiko english speaking dudes will have an Oyebade looking woman at home but still tap the ar/se of the orange/ pepper seller if they know they won't get caught ? shymexx: That's most people that you know, most people that I know definitely prefer average facial look, and amazing body... Katsumoto: Sorry but no thanks. Sagamite: I definitely don't rate the Oyebade girl's face. naijababe: Wereshious fellowWow. . . I stand corrected. To each his own then. . . |
Ejiné: No, it's Pete Edochie.Well I didn't click on the link and I'm not going to, and I considered the possibility that there might have been more than one Okonkwo in Kano back in those days. Next question for anyone who is able to answer it: is Kwankwaso some kind of Hausafication of the name 'Okonkwo' or does it actually mean something in Hausa? |
Doesn't make sense. And how much is this National Orientation Agency costing the country? It sounds like a waste of funds on the surface. Or do they actually do something useful? |
Is this Mr. Okonkwo the same person as 'Okonkwo Kano' ? |
Yeah that guy does look weird. |
That next top model contestant (Oyebade) is definitely better looking facially. I'd choose her easily over this 'Toolz' if given the chance, plus she seems intelligent. And I doubt most would go with hips over looks so I'm thinking most guys would make the same choice. |
Who the hell was dimka? |
This was an interesting read for some reason. |

Donald Trump is no stranger to attacking random people for the purpose of gaining press coverage. Typically the billionaires attacks however are directed towards people who actually deserve the criticism or Rosie O’Donnell.lol |
Interesting thread. And that Kehinde story was funny. |
livapul86: OP wetin be your own sef? I rushed to open this thread believing, I would see pics of her in a HOT BUM SHORT and maybe some tantalising bikini. Instead, you carry these Mama Mary type of skirts dey advertise.lmao ![]() |
What is this game that you keep referencing? Is it a board game or video game? And why do you keep posting this stuff? ![]() Are you a person? I think this may just be a bot that took a wrong turn on the internet. |
pazienza: We can only work with what we have,if you know anymore yoruba/bini academia in diaspora, post them here, let the head count continue, stop making up excuses.lol, excuses? I'm pretty sure other academics that were not mentioned here have even been posted on other threads so a sensible person would know that many other academics have not been listed. Also if you followed all my posts on here I wasn't exclusively listing any ethnic group, I just listed more people from my part of Nigeria since they wouldn't have been listed anyway the way the thread was going. A while back when I came across the profiles of Bruce Ovbiagele, Kunle Odunsi, and Chimay Anumba, all highly accomplished academics from Nigeria, I thought about upping this thread again to post them, but I read over the thread again and realized the thread was becoming a platform for ethnic/tribal stuff more than for what it was originally intended so I didn't bother. |
pazienza: Yea,i remember this thread too. Nchara/igbobuigbo used it to debunk the claim that yorubas are the most educated tribe in nigeria, this thread was a bomb.At the end of it,it was obvious which tribe was the clear leader.Well there are even more Igbo academics than what he posted. But there are also many more academics abroad from other groups (including from the group Nchara/igbobuigbo was posting against) than what others posted. So there's not some kind of clear cut conclusion to be drawn from the thread since people just left it alone and didn't stretch it out to as many pages as possible. I doubt that anyone can prove the frequently made "most educated in Nigeria" claim anyway. |
I remember this thread. I left it and stopped bothering about updating it when other posters started making it ethnic. Otherwise I would have updated it as I've come across a whole slew of Nigerian academics since the time that this thread was active. |
This thread is obviously baiting. Apparently the troll fell for the bait. |
BlackPikiN: ^^^^No we are not, but they should feel the pain. Are they destroying Korean businesses? Source? I think the Chinese govt. tacitly supports the anti-Japanese protests and is actively sponsoring some of them. As for "what right do they have", I didn't say they have a right to do so, even if it's in their own country. I just don't see how Africans enter into this. |
BlackPikiN: If there's anti_Japan protest in China, then there will/must be a massive anti-China protest in Africa! What does this mean? Are we Japanese? |
Unfortunately, I think the Iranians are successfully baiting the Israelis into committing an act of war which would justify an Iranian counterattack. Fighting Iran will be nothing like fighting the countries Israel fought before so I don't see why Netanyahu is so eager to attack them. I don't know how long he thinks Iran can be stopped from acquiring nuclear capabilities through threats, military force and intimidation, but I do know that force of arms - rather than diplomacy and economic incentives - is definitely not the way to go about this. |
ekt_bear: Interesting. I'd never heard of this Hegel guy before today. You weren't missing out on anything. I once tried to read through a compilation of his work to see what all the hype was about and to see where Marx got his inspiration, and I was left surprised that such an unclear thinker whose writings were filled with so much nonsense had had such a major following and such a huge impact. I doubt that any rational person can read through the entirety of Hegel's Phenomenology of Mind (don't even try it, it's a complete waste of time) without wondering whether this guy wasn't at least partially aware that he was spewing out bullsh1t by the bucket load while writing it. It's amazing that people were/are able to develop reasonable and coherent ideas by building off of his ramblings. |
