Is dis not a project by a state governor, here in Edo state it is only mou that obaseki did for good 4years, I pity benin city, very backward... |
NaMe4:so this is good for an executive governor to campaign with. Even the stadium u 're talking about it was just the roofing he did, den painting, my brother lets open our eyes this man nor fit governor, he is suppose to be an adviser to either a governor or president, his style of leadership is more of human capital development, but Edo state needs infrastructure badly more than anything else |
The man has achieved a lot. Far more in 4 few years than the stark illiterate tailor. Edo sons and daughters know this too well and that’s why they are standing for & giving him massive support that not even money can buy for the good of their collective future. Let the good works of Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and Philip Shaibu Administration continue, some of which are mentioned below: 1. Internal Revenue Generation (IGR): Rose from N19.1 Billion in 2015 to 23 billion, 25 billion and 27 billion in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively; 2. Civil Service Reforms: The Administration introduced the architecture to achieve a functional public service and institutionalization of a meritocratic and competency-based HRM system, serving also as the structural model for promotion dynamics moderated by ASCON and backed with highly intensive training and retraining programs for state workers; 3. EdoBest, the acronym for “Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation.” This is a revolutionary Basic Education reform initiative that has radically transformed the learning outcomes for over 300,000 pupils across the over 1,500 public primary and junior secondary schools across Edo State; 4. Payment of salaries and pensions – All state workers’ salaries are paid promptly at the end of each month and pensions arrears cleared and paid up to date. Our workers, teachers and pensioners who have given the productive parts of their lives in service to Edo State deserve their compensation as and when due in accordance with international best practices; 5. The Azura-Edo Power Station: The Azura-Edo IPP is an open-cycle gas fired power plant. Construction of the plant began in January 2016 & was completed on the 30th April 2018, six months ahead of schedule (a record achievement for a plant of this size).its presence has spurred the incursion of more power companies into Edo state and also guaranteed other large industries in the state a source for relatively stable power. Unnecessary to state the jobs created in their multiples by this and overall positive outcome for the state’s economy; 6. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium: One of the gems in Edo’s spectacular skyline is the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, which has been renovated and fitted with more sporting facilities, including a canopy cover. Competes favourably with like facilities worldwide and has thus been pencilled to host the U-20 Women’s world cup matches; 7. Massive Urban Renewal: there has been massive construction of roads, reclaiming of gully erosion sites, construction of parks and restoring sanity to public places across the state. So massive & unprecedented that it has earned the Governor the alias “Wake and See Governor” a unique leadership style that abhors unnecessary fanfare commonly associated with the typical Nigerian political rulers. This can only be compared to what obtained in the Old Bendel State, as most of the roads were last worked on 40 years ago; 8. Educational Reforms: for example, the Government Science and Technical College has been remodelled to become a centre of excellence in technical education in the state. It is presently serving as the grooming ground for best-in-town technical experts, who are receiving training and certification that are recognized in any part of the world; 9. Edo Innovation Hub: is cluster for technology innovators and inventors. Commissioned June 14th, 2018. Some of the offerings at the hub includes digital skills, business support services, start-up incubation/business acceleration, mentorship, co-working spaces etc. over 1,000 youths have been trained so far. Organisations with presence at the hub includes Microsoft, Tech4Dev, LinkedIn, Curators University, Hotels.NG, and Siemen’s Impact Hub etc; 10. Edo Production Centre: a novel initiative currently driving Industrialization in Edo State. Providing SME’s and Artisans with 24 hour electricity, it has been widely acknowledged as an international reference point for market development and industry linkage opportunities. Currently steps are being taken to replicate other like centres in Auchi, Irrua and Okpella. Welders, metal fabrication companies, polythene makers, printers, woodwork experts, recyclers, footwear makers amongst many others are currently having a great business time; 11. Benin Enterprise and Industrial Park; 12. CCETC-Ossiomo Power Plant; 13. Emotan Gardens: Providing affordable housing units to indigenes of the state once completed; & 14. Fruitful fight against human trafficking and reclaiming of the human dignity of Edo sons and daughters in agreement with our revered traditions and institutions.[/quote I sorry 4 u. U wen seat down compose this rubbish u nor de shame, see project wen a local government go do n.a. a all executive governor say e do for good 4yrs, if u nor de shame me i shame for u. Obaseki go run from this state after September 19th watch n see |
sammirano:Hmmm, what has this man done in the past 4yrs for him to deserve another 4 yrs, knowing fully well that Nigerian politicians only work in their first 4 yrs the other 4 yrs is purely for politics and looting |
tayebest:Boss me i saw it comming, cos at a time I was thinking y oshiomhole did not go to supreme court, then I knew something is about to happan. I so much believe in pub he cannot just send BAT and oshobaba to the dustbin like dat, these are the building blocks of apc |
do you really think, someone like oshiomhole didn't predict that obaseki was going to defect to pdp? Ansa yes or no.[/quhote] Boss I disagree with, even me here knew dat obaseki was going to defect to pdp, dats was even the reason he was screen out. I live in benin we are watching how obaseki will be 're elected, a man for 4 good year's cannot to point to a single project started and completed, even the oshiomhole project none, I wonder what he will use to campaign, we are watching... |
Indispensable85:Oshio is smart, w alahi, he knew he will not survive it, the best thing to do was to screen out obaseki, just imagine obaseki was allowed to run, it would have be a different story now. Oshio nice 1, he has done the major work for apc already |
DeleTaller:Boss n.a. man u be. Ize iyamu is our next governor, a grass root man, he his my mentor, I love this man die, the youth are solidly behind u sir, carry go |
sexiestharam:Ul did not confirm the certificate of Obaseki. They only said he was giving dmisson n he grduted dere too. |
Get you stories straight... The house was inaugurated with the Governors consent and proclamation, the 14 lawmakers absconded because they were not happy with the inauguration which they were were absent but communicated (case study Saraki vs NASS 2015). That could not get them to elect Oshiomole's cabal as speaker. They decided to not attend plenary again to be sworn in , the speaker deemed it fit to declare their seats vacant as allowed in the constitution after 181days of not representing their people..[/qu U just come here nd cook up stories to ur own benefit, who told u that the 14 law makers never wanted to be sworn in nd so de absconded, that is lie from the pit of heir. Get ur facts right. Obaseki the problem of Edo apc |
skedman:Boss u 're wise, ur analysis is on point. Direct is still the best if n.a. coro obaseki de fear |
maidstone:Which presidency is behind, is it buhari or who. Have u 4gotten what happened to Ambrode, How he followed buhari up and down but last last u saw what happaned |
I don't understand how you guys view Oshiomole here in Edo state. So una think say he be Tinubu or Edo is Lagos. It's like you people don't understand Edo politics. The simple fact that Oshiomole is giving this guy headache has made people to hate him in the state. The ordinary Masses who he says he fights for don't like him. If Oshiomole wants to test his power, he should not interfere with the primaries let Obaseki contest......I repeat, there is nobody in Edo state that can beat Godwin Obaseki on a free and fair election. Nobody, no be mouth, Ize Iyamu no fit...una wen no dy stay Edo state go dy talk. Oshiomole was governor for 8 years yet PDP came back from nothing to a strong force in his time. Today PDP has two senators. It took the grace of God for them not to take the senatorial seat of Oshiomole. The ordinary people on the street love Obaseki at least for his style of governance. He no dy share money for thugs, that's the problem but dude has managed the state well so far only falling shot in areas like security. Aside that. So who dem won bring come to contest against am Ize iyamu who lost to him in 2016....I campaigned for him. I be PDP, but ask PDP people, they hate that dude now. All they need to do is to play 2016 campaign videos when Oshiomole called him a big thief, that's all. Who else, is it dead meat Odubu when no fit do shit for him people for Ohrionmwon. E never see anything. Edo state ain't going back to the days of Tony Kabaka and Nomoles......awuaaa[/quot I laugh u sincerely, I know u don't live in Edo state and dat is y u dent Know wat is on ground in Edo state, obaseki is good as a private professional and not as a governor cos the 3 yrs he has spent clearly shows. just watch how he will be booted out of osadebe avenue |
Kia. Is dis true. Corona hmmm |
Happy birthday VP sir. |
I honestly think obaseki has already made a costly mistake frm the beginning which is very difficult to correct now. Firstly obaseki was never a politician b4 he became a governor, politics in present day nigeria is far beyond what u see and hear. There is what we call interest which is normal in any political clan. Obaseki was too early to 4get the ladder he climbed to osadebe avenue, of course y not play the game of loyalty just to ensure u get ur party,s second term ticket b4 u unleash fight on his so called godfathers. But wait a minute obaseki,s political future is very obscure, this is because nwc as headed by oshiomhole has plenty roles to play as far as the primaries is concern. The primaries is where the battle is and frm the look of things, the camp of oshiomhole is where the big names are, odubu, Samson, Polly, ize iyamu, obadan, osifo, idiayagbon, okay, just name them. But let's watch has things unfold, the primeries is just June here |

BREAKING: Two Suicide Bombers Strike At Catholic Church In Adamawa "The bombers arrived 30 minutes into the mass," Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza said. BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKMAR 10, 2019 Two suicide bombers who targeted St. Pious Catholic Church in Shuwa, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, have detonated their bombs. They, however, killed only themselves, SaharaReporters can report. Papka Medugu, a parishioner who witnessed the incident, told SaharaReporters on Sunday morning that suspected Boko Haram members "targeted our church while the morning mass was going on, but to God's glory they both exploded before they could access the church". "Vigilant Catholic cadet boys on patrol around the church vicinity prevented the bombers from gaining entry into the church, thereby forcing the explosives to detonate before getting to their target," the eyewitness said, just as he confirmed that only the two bombers were killed in the incident. Most Reverend Stephen Dami Mamza, Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters. "Catholic cadets stopped them at the main entrance. The bombers arrived 30 minutes into the mass which started around 6am. When they could not access the church, they detonated, but thank God none of the cadets were hurt. Only a grandmother and her grandson were shocked by the loud bang, but they have since left the hospital," he said. Mamza, who doubles as Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa State chapter, further said armed military personnel were drafted to the scene within minutes of the attack and have since cordoned off the area to recover possible unexploded devices. Shuwa village, which is about 30 minutes drive to the Sambisa stronghold of the outlawed Boko Haram sect, has witnessed series of Boko Haram incursions in recent times. Ahmed Umar Fintiri, the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who is widely speculated to clinch the keenly contested governorship election is from the area. Brigadier General Bello Mohammad of the 23 Brigade Yola has declined comments, stating that “Madagali is not within my jurisdiction". Meanwhile, results of the governorship and assembly elections have just started trickling in at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state. http://saharareporters.com/2019/03/10/breaking-two-suicide-bombers-strike-catholic-church-adamawa |
okonyia:I wish u have sense, pls get a little sense. Woke and amaechi are the problem of rivers. ameachi is only paying bak what wike did in 2015. But is quite unfortunate that the poor masses will always be at the receiving end. God help nigeria |

The national working committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has suspended the governors of Ogun and Imo states, Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha over anti-party activities. APC’s austerity campaign in Edo Amosun and Okorocha APC took the decision at its National Working Committee meeting held on Friday in Abuja. The NWC of the party further recommended the expulsion of the duo from the party for brazen anti-party activities. Both governors are supporting different candidates for the governorship election in their states. Okorocha, who won a Senate seat as APC candidate, is backing his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu campaigning for Imo governor as candidate of Action Alliance. Amosun, who also won a Senate seat as APC senator last week, is also supporting a member of the House of Representatives, Abdulkadir Akinlade, as governor as a member of the Allied Peoples Movement. In Imo, APC has Senator Hope Uzodinma as its governorship candidate. Prince Dapo Abiodun is the candidate in Ogun. Amosun was roundly criticised in February when he flooded an APC presidential rally in Abeokuta with APM supporters. The incident almost went awry as the APM mob nearly stoned President Muhammadu Buhari.
