If daarsat is coming with 40 channels at a time that means they re not what we re hoping for.but 8 channels is understandable, what i mean is that, its only cable tv can up with that amount of channels at a time.but my question remain re they ever going to be free at all cos i hate daarsat since the day they beam their AIT Movistar free in northern europe.believe me they might end up beaming all their freq to europe for free and transmit for their mumu in 9ja to pay.they re just another replica of dstv but this time they happened to know the business more,so we shall expect the worst encryption cos they really know what nigerians wants.

enitan2002:
I was thought in school then that passing information to people in form of pictures stick so well in the brains compared to when words alone were used, thats the major reason i've adopted this new technique.

There's a major problem problem encountered by viewers concerning polarisation on their decoder.I will cite an instance, sometimes last year the frequency of MSNBC on lyngsat was 12728H 30000SR, but now if you checked the lyngsat the pol says its now V check this link for confirmation http://www.lyngsat.com/ew3a.html, the problem there is that before you try to track any satellite first confirm the system information of your decoder i.e the software version, if your using a decoder that has a softwre version of august 2007, some polarisation of some satellite will surely vary, but if you have the version of either jan 2008 or june 2008, you must use the polarisation u can see on lyngsat.
This problwem has to do with globecast africa frequency the pol someone gave here sometimes ago was V, and i wasted almost about 4 days trying to check out what the problem was with my decoder because i couldnt get the signal right especially during the day when its most active, so i decided to change the pol to H one evening and here i was with about 85% signal strength, so also i rememebered the feeds freq of deeper life church igave some weeks back that was the reason i said during the period when its active you still couldnt get the signal try to change your pol vice-versa, the pol that worksfor me was V,and didnt work for others instead H did, and i noticed that those that H worked for has the latest software version on their decoder. The patch of that nilesat posted some months back by badaru i think automatically updates the version on your decoder.
The basis of this finding is that whenever a new feeds freq or channel freq is given out and u still couldnt get that using the pol given by the poster, my advice is that first confirm from someone if the signal is active and if it is and the problem still persists try change your POLARITY.

got to go now will be back on thursday for more info, keep the thread alive
polarization can also be effected by the type of lnbf and the way the lnbf skew is adjusted just turn any upside down and u ll notice a change in pol.bro how u dey?

i think badrc has gone completely analogue and badr 6 has replace it with only analogue c-band that can reach sub-sahara africa.

Igwe Pitodenz,

I need clarification.

I am thinking of switching to C-Band from Ku-Band, what channels will be available to me (including premiership) here in Port Harcourt?

Thank you.
the sat-finder u were looking for is 1,500 here but its the analogue type the digital that beeps is about 5k but it is very scarce in market now.
it is only when u enter into c-band that u ll get the real enjoyment of satellite but u ve to motorize.u ll get channels like cnn, aljazeera sprt, children, sabc, ait, nta and so many interesting channels u ll be able to watch over 200 unscramble channels.

hi bro,i was able to put the keys but the ART channels on 11.881ghz/H and 11.804/H have low frequency, the signal quality is low,i spoke to my installer about it and he said i should change my LNB to Fuji LNB,at a price of 5000,i want to be sure of the price but thats the least of my concern though,my major concern is that;will the signal quality increase with the Fuji LNB?
am in ph and i dont ve access to nilesat like badaru and tox,is not like i dont install it but it has been long i ve access to one.badaru or tox or any nilesat user can help.fuji lnb is the best as they say but my experience and experiment told me that pauxis lnb is better but u ve to cut the bottom, but as i said it has been long i ve access to one.

@ tox
while not post how the current art keys can be manually input again,am getting calls from nilesat users on how to input the keys or better they them where to put the 08,05,06,10,20 or whatever the current keys come with.dont tell them to go tru the previous posts this time.plz help bro.thanks man.

Azeebazeba, I stay in lagos; let me tell you what to do, dowload original Strond software, its about 850kb; also download the loader and transflash with RS232 from your PC. Its very simple, the decoder is not dead yet.
this i should ve said earlier, for everyones information!
the fake strong receiver in market today is many, they all look alike that it take an inteligent dealer to no the difference.plz all, when buying strong receiver open it if u didnot see a paper indicating satellites receivable in different part of naija dont buy cos its fake.most times the sellers dont even know the difference.before now we use colour to know the differences, but there's a new fake receiver in the market that is exactly the same colour with the original.
so if u happen to have problem with any of this fake receivers forget about repair.i solve problems with strong receivers everyday for me to conclude this way.
Azeebazeba, ur receiver is fake so forget about it ,if some of u can remember one of my post concerning this problem u ll notice that there was no mention of success.
beleive me,most of us here who buy strong recently re enjoying the fake products cos the importation of this fake product out-numbered the original product.the worst thing about this fake products is that it is not manufactured by a particular pple rather ther're more than 5 different products manufacture in china.
the first time strong-technology notice this, they sent representatives to various satellite shops in ph,then they were using original mytv strong softwares to check for the fake products but now even the fakes accept the original software well well.
for precaution in ur strong receivers, mostly fakes cos they re unrepairable:  never allow ur coaxil cable(signal wire or cable wire)to bridge together.and always turn off ur receiver while connecting wires.
if u ve any problem cocerning strrong receiver dont bother to call me.i mean any case

                       software problems
                      loose of signal
                      power failure
                      rebooting
i ll help solve ur problems to the best of my knowledge free of charge.
if u re having password problem with ur strong receiver plz enter this code and it ll default.

                               0103
                                                                        enjoy!

@ all

i tried my might out on Nilesat with a 2.4m mesh dish.
The bird showed me that kaki no be leather.

2.4m mesh was my choice because of space contraints
and the fact that my supplier assured me i could pick the nauhgty bird on it.

i tried the dish on some other birds like Pas7/10, W4 and Nss 7.
I was suprised as i could not track W3 (7W) which i had ealier on a 90cm dish with the new dish.

I am using strong's c+ku combined lnbf with the dish.

My questions are:

1) Has anybody in the south west (probably Lagos or Ibadan)
been able to track the bird with a 2.4m mesh.

I am asking this question again because there has been no clear answers on the thread.

2) Am i doing something wrong on the elevation since i couldn't track W3 on the east?

3) If Nilesat is elusive to a 2.4m dish what are my other options. i plan to motorize the dish.

I am in Ibadan.

Thanks
u can get w3a with 2.4m net mesh dish in ibadan very well.u can also get some nilesat channels with the same dish, try this freq 10758v/27500.w3a is very tricky to track with mesh net dish but if i can get it here in ph u can easily get it in ibadan.u can also get aljazeera sprt 1 with ur dish 4125v/27500 @ arabsat 2b @ 30 degrees.
@ all
arabsat 2b cannot get in south south with 1.8m dish but with any 2.4m dish plz someone quote me wrong!

if arabsat 2b and badrc can be receive here; let us ve hope of mbc uae beaming on c-band cos it gonna be on either two.
remember that this mbc,cnn and some other good aljazeera channels were receivable in southern naija through badrc though on analogue satellite reception, though according to lyngsat i dont think they re there anymore but euronews, aljazeera children and aljaz english re still there.
those in lagos and other part of west should try badrc with di-electric plate inside their lnbf or which ever way the got it.

@ Pitodenz,

Yes that's right.I also got the channels yesterday on arabsat 2B@30.5 E.I live in the southern part of ghana and I use 1.8m dish, motorised and SRT 4653X.I used to remove my dielectric to get a good signal for Aljazeera channel
@pas7,10 68.5(C band). Now that wahala is no more.
I hope they keep it FTA.

Somehow I still believe with my location in ghana I should be able to receive nilesat with my 1.8m dish but I'm still finding it difficult.Any help from the gurus in the house will be very much appreciated. If necessary my email address is captainus@hotmail.co.uk
if u re at the north side of ghana there may be possibility of u receiving nilesat with 1.8m dish but that depend if anyone is getting it with it there; i think u ll be safer with a 2.4m dish.
try badrc @ 26 degrees u may get it but with di-electric plate cos we get it without it here because the beam lies here

WOW!!! Great forum. NEVER knew this forum ever existed

GOOD NEWS FOR ALL NILESAT LOVERS IN SOUTH OF NIGERIA

I was just introduced to this forum by gitano a member of this forum. He is one of our customers. I am Kelvin by name nd am the manager in charge of Platinum Entertainment Services in warri delta state. from research, we have seen that in the south, u can get NILESAT with 2.6 - 2.8 metre dish(depending on you location). and boy, the demend has being encouraging.

bros if anyone want to enjoy nilesat in south i think he should be thinking of at least 3.5m dish. nilesat might work with even 2.4m dish in warri but can u be able to get the horizontal signal always.and 2.8m dish cannot work nilesat here in ph,look is not matter of getting mbc and showtime;but nilesat is when u get at least what those in the north gets with 1.8m dish 24hrs without breaking in fine wheather.
We contruct the dishes locally and can also carry out the installation if you so wish. Additional channels like AIT , NTA could also be added on demand.

for those of you who would like to have this dish constructed for them, please contact me on 08065307667 and lets get working. OR call Joke on 08030480307

In the South our address is :

JUSTX and PITD, you may think Nigerians are fed up, only if you realise how much money that is in this contry. Even if you transmit shit, people will subscribe talking of Nollywood, and don't think it is only Nigeria; Check out the whole west Africa. It is not up to one week since it was scrambled, but if you see how people rush to ask what happened " I like this, I like that", check the cost, the cheapest transponder in EUTELSATw4. She has started making money. That is not all, there is an idea to putting every thing in one equipment; Internet, phone calls, etc. In such a style, as soon as you get Trend TV decoder, you have access to internet, internet calls and TV, how do you see that?
think of many pple who needed fta in nigeria, think of the popularity which trend nollywood should ve make.remember that the owner of trendtv is the same ctl company so if nollywood was left free pple we still pay through their terrestrial transmission.mbc 1,2,3, & action re all free since the day they where created just check out how many advert they show in a movie and how many big company that sponsor a movie.even if pple rush for subcription in this earlier stage will this money be enough to pay fox, waner bros and so many big tv's he borrowed and remember trend still air their adver free for them while fox is free in america both north and south, think about this bros is time for us to embrace and encourage fta in naija.

Nice point you are making on trend TV nollywood. they could have made money with that , am sure not many people will be rushing to buy theri card with those old films they show, at least not me , 'because i dig "SPIDER MAN".

About your 1.8m dish i really will like to know how to do the alignment , have read about it , but maybe , you can help me understand it better , And please don't forget , what is the advantage of the pan dish you use over the net one. In Ibadan here the net 1.8m dish is 10k, Bracket is 3k, motor is 3k. making 16k. for the LNB i can't remember. And whats the use of having 2 cband LNB on one dish please , 'i understand 1 C-band and 1 KU-band on same dish. And maybe cool pictures too will help .

justx24
i dont think there's in any way i can explain the alignment of motorized u may understand but it means aligning signal in the east and west at a particular positon of the dish in diferrent directions.
if u want 1.8m dish go for pan dish net dish always leak signals though they re rich in eye.

WHAT IS IT THAT TREND TV IS UP TO.NOLLYWOOD SCRAMBLED;AND MAYBE THEY RE WAITING FOR PPLE TO RUSH FOR SUBCRIBTION.
GUYS, U SEE IN NAIJA NOW PPLE VE STARTED GETTING KNOWLEDGE OF SATELLITE TV'S AND I THINK THE BEST SOMEONE LIKE TREND SHOULD VE DONE WAS TO GO FOR FTA.REASON IS,because OUR PPLE VE USED CTL ON VIDEO MACHINE TO WATCH FOREIGN PROGRAM FOR FREE FOR YEARS AND THEY STILL GO AROUND 2DAY LOOKING FOR FTA TV EVERYWHERE TO THE EXTEND OF MANAGING 68.5 DEGREES WHICH IS FULL CHRISTIAN CHANNELS, SHOULD VE TELL THEM THAT FTA HAS COME TO STAY IN NAIJA.
I THINK WHAT TREND SHOULD VE DONE WAS TO SHARE TRANSPONDANT (T.P) WITH ONE OF THIS FTA TV'S AND BROCAST ONLY NOLLYWOOD FROM THERE INSTEAD OF SPENDING DOLLARS AND PONDS TRYING TO PAY USELESS STATIONS THEY THINK THEY VE THERE.
TREND SHOULD VE MAKE A LOT OF MONEY FROM ADVERT ON NOLLYWOOD IF THEY WHERE REASONABLE ENOUGH TO LEAVE IT FREE.
