in ibadan i think u can receive all the channels in all the satellites i listed.

N.B, the satellites i listed can be received with 1.8m dish in all part of nigeria apart from some freq which might prove stubborn in some part in the south like portharcourt (intel 902)
also know that ur ability to receive most of this freq depend on ur installer i believe all c band installer ve to understand the nature of their area and the lnb suitable for their area.
again most jack fall b4 40 degree west when u re coming from east so the possibility of getting 53 degree depend on the type of jack.

I LL BE INSTALLING 1.8M IN MY HOUSE THIS WEEK AND I LL POST EVERY BIT OF THE INSTALLATION I LL ALSO POST THE PIC.

i ll advice pple in ph who want to watch so much channels to go for c-band preferable motorized type. for c- band receivable in southern nigeria:

as u can see we have more than 16 different sattellite tv receivable all over nigeria depending on the size of ur dish. 1.8m dish can receive all in south apart from sabc n etv in intelsat 902 @ 62.0,though if used some technical material it may come up but that i ve not succeded.but 2.4m dish both net n pan or fiber ll give u all the channels there.

N.B. FOR US IN PH WE RE EXPRIENCING SOME FAILURE IN NSS 7C @ 22W (CNN) IN SOME AREA. BUT STRONG C-BAND LNB IS NOT GIVING ME CNN ANYMORE IN PH I ALWAYS USE SUPERMAX C- BAND LNB. I LL APPRECIATE ANY COMMENT FORM ANY EXPRIENCE INSTALLER IN PH.

eurobird 1 is home of all the fta.bro there're so many channels there and they re all free even our local nta and mta re all there a lot of porn channels many movie channels wot else is one looking for.
i ll like to be around during the installation and i ll check for the necessary keys if there's need.

if u check out channels in this eurobird 1 u we see that most channels in the world re all free.this is wot i ve been talking about in this forum let us create awareness in fta in this forum,if this fta company can see our (nigeria and africa) interest in fta satellite tv's i think most company can come up here,they only make their money through advert

so far so good nothing new yet. i got a tip that mbc uae might upgrade to c band in badr c @ 26 degrees and if that happen i believe most of us in south may smile.
nothing much is coming up in ku band 90cm for long time now but if u ve c band u can scan intelsat 10-02 freq 4180H/21050,u can see some new egptian channels who knows wot they re up to.


for those asking me of channels receivable in southern nigeria i think its all over the post in this forum notin good in ku band but the best ku band sat is w3a for now cos trend tv is not fta.in fact am getting tired of ku band in south which make me think c-band is better option though NO english base foreign movie channels like fox movie and mbc's in nilesat.but how we go do!



for those interested in c band installation i ll try and find out time to explain the channels receivable in south and how to go about the installation cos c band installation is not something u can just do expecially if it involve motorizing it.i ll post a pic of 1.8m dish starting from the assembly to the mouting this weekend.


if u cant manage wot we ve in c band then u can go for nilesat but b4 then make sure u bought one plot of land for the space another option is u can go and pay to ctl and other cable tv providers that sells nilesat.


@ butoneday,bros how u dey? as for the 4.5m pan dish bros,where u get space? for that size of dish,remember ur building covers the west side of ur house and nilesat is in west, part of ur 3m is covered by the same building at the other side.


for those of u in PORTHARCOURT AND RIVER STATE, abeg we no dey do magic here we cannot give u wot ctl and cmtv is giving with 90cm dish u better settle with 68.5 degree east or any other free ku band since u dont wanna pay.we re trying wot we can to fish out channels in sat but we re not providers.

so so sorry for been absent for so long u see,as ctl shutdown their analogue transmitting in ph people like me cannot get 1hr on their own.
so many things in this sat world so many exprience i ve acquired and so many more to come.
but the truth still base in nilesat.anyone hoping to get nilesat in southern nigeria should go for at least 3.5m if not 4m dish self.and that is a very big problem for us in south.this dishes re very massive that u ll get discouraged when u see them.we still ve a major problem in the south so lets pray that nilesat go c-band one day.

if u re in the south and hoping to see smething to manage why not go for c-band cos we cant kill ourself to me nilesat is out of our reach abeg the dish for it does not make sence so is not free for us.

am not discouraging u guys if u ve the space and money u can go ahead am only been jealous for those in the north.if u ve not watch nilesat u wont understand HOW am feeling.

as at may 20th a new strong software patch was released. Its now possible to watch for free all the art 1-9 channels and all the other locked channels excluding showtime series channels.

after loading the patch if u happen to have a dstv smartcard with no subcription slot it in ur reciever and check if some of their channels will come up we tried it in warri and some channels like cnn,series,hallmark,sssel,sabc,tv5,cn came up but reaching ph i ve tried it with so many smartcard and recievers but it cant work for me here so no need of keeping it a secret i think others can try and post their result.its on ku band 36e.

I am really glad to be back,and very sorry for the long silence.I was down with measles but better now.Thanks for the contributions when I had problems picking NSS7 ku.It was the lnb that was bad but I eventually got the problem solved with a HiTV lnb.

thanks a million for the Showtime patch.It worked for me.Nilesat is the best for now if you can afford to have space.I am currently watching Showtime Cinema1-4,Disneychannel,Bloomberg,National Geo Wild,Showcomedy,etc,all for free.But I can't pick ART,Showsports and the other good channels.Please send me the names of the ku lnbs we discussed on phone,capable of boosting the horizontal signals here in the Southwest.My dishsize is 3.0m and location is Abeokuta

i went for installation in warri in one of our member house he's using a 3.0 fiber dish for nilesat we got bbc,fox movie some showtime channels like the one tox9ja mention,aljazeera sprt 1,2, and 3, we also get some sport station which i believe is art but the patch can not open them (sprt 1 - 9).the patch for showtime is real but i cant confirm art yet.aljazeera sprts is scrambled.

badaru we cannot open the dstv up till now.(service scramled internet on).
u can send the art keys here the ones i have here is 32 digit and i cant convert them.

the patch only work for show cinema,disney channel,but not art or aljazeera.well am not getting all the showtime channels now.am in warri in one of our nairaland member house.the works

go to strong website and download the original software then u can load the patch after the original software

the name of satellite dosnt matter in most recievers as long as u use c band for c band and ku for ku band satellite name.go africa signal sometimes goes down and come up again.

this small strong reciever is not bad at all srt 3650 its new it come to market sometime last year and it should be below 5k in lagos.like in my w3a i cant get ariane tv with 4652 the signal ll be moving with red bar but when i use this reciever it open ariane without cracking.also i ve used it so many time in c band work and i can say its okay.
the only station i enjoy in w3a is go africa because of musical,msnbc is good but am not in usa,then when some of them join bbc.

N.B.the reciever is strightly fta no space for card reader.

if u can refer to one of my previous post u can see were i made mention of the new showtime and aljazeera keys.but as u can see i dont ve nilesat in my house to try,so i think its left to guys in north to confirm.by the way were's jujukemist?
another thing is the key column i have seen is 16 in number making it x2 longer than strong column,can u post me any site where i can get the softcam keys.

i know nilesat has the best fta we can reach but its still not beamed here.there re other sat better than nilesat like astra and hotbird and people still get them here.i think anything massive dish those not solve the problem of fta so me i think.

i think installers here in ph re real bomb.in case of dd sport,metro tv ghana,all this is more of the reason ll use 3 lnb in motorilize dish here in ph.ur problem can be solved only if u can be able to get an installer who can be able to align three lnbs together.(1 ku band and 2 c band 1 without di-electric plate) or u can still have a try on ur own but constructing the lnb holder might give u a problem. i think its time a start posting pic here.

if u cant recieve nss 7ku and u re able to recieve nss 7c check ur diseq switch number and if the dish is motorilize and u recieve other ku band why not use manual control in ur positoner remote to track it if u cant get it then i think the dish is out of aligment.

dish motorilize should be able to pick the four ku band recievable in southern 9ja.the most difficult should be the so called naughty bird w3a and the easiest should be nss 7ku.

if u dont have space then go for 1.8m dish i think the only difference is sabc and etv @ 62 degrees but u can still get every other stations.

@ one position u can use the new strong ku and c band combined its 5k here should be around 3500 in lagos use with one supermax c band lnb. u can get enough stations.theres no movie channel like fox movie or mbc movie in the entire c band so take note.68.5c ll only give u enough india station and 64 ll give u small entertainment.

if u want to fix ur dish as i mentioned what u need do is to track 64 degree first then put the second lnb for 68.5 on top and adjust untill u get maximum signal.i ll post a pic later.

i didnt view my w3a from my front but form back i think am the only person able to get that bird at the left side of dstv n mytv and am still suprise cos all i can see here in ph is still to the right.

if u want to install c band i think the best option is to go for 2.4m net dish cos 2.4m pan dish ll be a little more expensive and heavier.plz note that net mesh dish cannot give anybody nilesat in south even if it is 6.0m net dish.cos this net dish leak some percentage of signals it suppose to reflect back.though it might work for those in north cos the signal is stronger there.

i tried the double di-electric yesterday in 2.4m dish.thankjs man it gave me what i ve been looking for.

this is the estimated prices for satellite accessories (this is not ph price but slightly lagos price)note that the prices may vary according to cities.

N.B.ph prices here is what they give us installers.God, see as i dey cast my runs,but i can do anything for u guys in this forum.
2.4m net dish 21,000 naira (25,000 in ph)

2.4m pan dish 24,000 naira (33,000 naira in ph cos its heavy)

1.8m dish 9,000 naira (10500 for supermas and 12000 for strong in ph)

ku band lnb 800 naira

c band lnb 1,200 naira in north ( 2,000 here in ph) i dont know lagos price.

diseq switch(combiner) 500 here 350 in onitsha.

for fiber dish, 3.5m fiber dish with installation and complete equipment is above 100,000 in ph.

installation fees is agreement b/w una two.
i think ph is the most cost city in naija so with this info u can now go to ur various market and cheek.

for those who like to watch more station without spending much money,u can go for 1.8m dish on c band.with three lnb installed one on 64 n the other two on 68.5 east,with these u can get more than 100 fta channels.i ll post some pick how this is done.this is only for brothers in the south cos northerners got their nilesat which i jealous everyday.

N.B. remember u ve to buy the new strong c band and ku band combine together.

@ badaru plz can u explain more on how to use two di-electric plate in one c band lnb.also ur magic box how sonner can it open dstv on 36 degree east ku band.

bros i know i lot of channels re up there in nilesat and it can be gotten with bigger dish in the south,but does it solve our problems?NO,cos a lot of us cant even afford not even the space but the price for that or dont u know that someone in senegal can easily pick the same station in nilesat with 90cm dish.what i think we needed is how to encourage fta company to beam on our land.

the w3a stuff tire me self na so so french but msnbc with go africa is good.as for me i ve only one 90cm but i cant miss any good program in those four ku band.i motorilize it manually with my hand and each dosnt take up to a minute.i only use nss7ku when theres premiership n 68.5 on weekends for etv x-movie the other two i share them depending who is around me.but am talking to my landlord into allowing me for bigger dish.so if u can, i dont think theres a reason for more than one 90cm in a nairaland forum member house cos i believe by now tracking should be part of us.the naughty w3a is not all that hard hence u know the direction n elevation.cos i track it out and in more than two times a day.

i blind scan everyday bt no show.have u come across 3650 strong reciever,is without card reader.i think the reciever is damn good cos it hold signal more than 46xx n its very cheap.

for ur information i inserted another pipe inside my strong dish hanger so as to lift it above my zinc.its not necessary.

In those various pic if i move my dish a little bit right and track it i ll get mytv or dstv.

plz everybody should pay attention,
this w3a is more tricky than we think though it took me time to get but it make me understand it the more.first of all i set my lnb just as enitan show in his pic but damn i was getting it all wrong.
secondary i was finding the azumuth(direction) a little bit after dstv direction but i was wrong.
this is how i got my own set up,my direction was a little bit left of mytv position i mean before mytv and thats suprise me most.i got it at the left side of mytv not the right side as we suggested before.this make me believe tha this bird direction depend much on ur location.as for the lnb i adjust it to the normal way we all use in mytv or dstv,when i tried to face it down as enitan showed i ll lost the signal.my elevation angle is not even up to 80 its about 75-77.i ll post the pic later

thanks for ur info,but u see most of this channels ll be beamed at middle east and its only people in northern side of the country ll get them as for the channels for w3a i think most of them ll still remain french and another thing is i dont think dstv ll sit down dey look while all these channels ll be aired free.remember what happen in the case of sabc in 68.5 ku band.i think that company has an influence power over fta mostly in southern nigeria.i think there are people who has fought this fta stuff before us.i think pay tv re still very powerful to be put aside no, not now.but i believe that with the level of work and head all of us in this forum is putting together i believe one day we ll all make things change.

bros i wish to see another view of that w3a again from another angle.u see i was getting w3a any time i motorilize bigger dish i never knew it was this difficult in 90cm cos i found it almost impossible to track in my house this morning so i ll have to try again.i think this bird signal dosnt flash up like other ku signals i think its like booting signal.but i must catch it when i go home today after chelsea match.
