butoneday has been there since,following and posting on this thread,do u know that among us all, no one has spend so much money as satellite hobbylist like him.Upon that u ll never notice him and is no novice in this satellite busness.I believe people in this thread are all special both rich,average and poor.Or dont u know that if u re to be paid of ur labour in this thread,u should ve been richer than Dangote.U re givig out ur proffession free here and u dont know it.KEEP THE GOOD WORK GOING.

If u can remember in some post back where he (adewest)was comparing 1.8m stronger dish signal with 2.4m dish.The 2.4m ll be very good.

                 am not a fiber maker am just an installer and i dont work with any fiber company. What i said is from experience,most job done with fiber dish re mostly ok,i think because the makers has a standard mode for the building.THIS MODE i believe has been tried over the years before achieving a particular standard.Adewest i ll love it if u confirm the possibility of getting a 3.0m eurosta,strong or stronger dish cos am always at panic whenever am installing big local dishes for nile even fiber dish.

        look for old 4m fiber dish cos the last one i got and refoiled got all the tp including showsports and cnn here in ph.

       my brother take my advice<dont go for any local 3.0M dish.The pic is a 3.0m dish bought from kaduna by a member iwe,could u believe that after the installation mbc signal vanish in the afternoon.Butoneday here got even bbc on his 2.4m strong dish and with 3.0m fiber dish he was getting the same reception.If u re doubting if 2.4m eurostar dish can be able to give u showsports,go for 4m fiber dish and dont waste ur money in any local made pan dish.(the dish in the pic was installed with digisat lnbf)

the 3.0 locally constructed pan will not be as good as 2.4m strong or eurostar dish,reason been,no matter how accurate they think they re,they always make mistakes on calculating the focal length but as adewest told u that they use to test before they supply,just remember that the signal in north is not the same with our signal strength.i ll advice u to stick with 2.4m eurostar dish cos oyibo na onyibo.i ll post u an example picture now.

these are the preliminary satellites am able to get with the motorised 2.4m strong dish. position 1 Thaicom 55%,2 pas10 max 54%(with dielect),3 Itv,66%,4 sabc c-band 79%,5 ethiopia 80%,6 Arabsat c-80%,7 eurobird 3 tps 53%,,8 w2 90%,9 hotbird Art 55%,10 w3 98%,11 sirus 98%,12 Atlantic bird ku-algeria 70%,13 nile 70%(11862)bbc 56%,14 atlantic bird c band 90%, 15 Ait 75%,16 nss ku 98%,17 nss c band Cnn 80%,18 Nta &0%.

I have not really sat down to try other satellites to see wether something will come. I will keep you posted for any new development.

The neck is locally constructed.

The beauty of 2.4 is that it is easier to track with than 1.8,but is not easy doing it alone. I will post the pic later

badaru, in term of ku reception here i dont think there's much difference with lagos,but c-band reception is something else.Do u know that i ve never gotten itv,pulse , more than 45% in old strong and most times after so many adjustment i settle for 34%,nation and citizen seem to be high now at 72% but sabc sometime ago increase to 72%(that was when we were able to get it on 1.8m) but after a short period returned to 55% and cant be gotten in 1.8m ever.Am always suprise on the kind of c band signal u guess receive there.i wish one of this day one of u guys ll come for installation in ph to prove this wrong(i love challenges)
There was no mention of nile H transpondant in ur above post and where did u get the neck constructed,at north?pic required.

what is ur idea?re u trying to give up both ur 3.0m fiber dish for the motorized 2.4m?why am saying this,is because u ve more chance of getting h transpondant on ur fixed 3.0m dish than on a motorized 2.4m dish.

ur pic reveals ur expertize.it seems that all the dish re ground mount,the locally constructed neck is the same with the 1.8m eurostar brought from niger state i installed here in ph but the ku lnb i used was hummax 3.0 db,70db gain.thanks very much once again for the pic.i wish to witness ur installation in lagos only if u grant my invitation and i hope fofo and tox ll also grant me an invitation cos i may not ve N1500 remaining after my transportation.

thank u very much,u dont know what u did for me.while those in lagos ll be waiting for ur arrival i ll be here enjoying the stuff already.My problem now is how to get 2.4m stronger dish or eurostar dish.ur response ll be highly appreciated.i also notice that scalar rings gives more signal than the normal c-band plate we re using here.enugu is very high ooh no compare us with them at all.

eurostar has been the best dish in nigeria market.I just came across one bought from niger state,men, for the first time in ph i was able to pick nilesat signal on a 1.8m motorize dish.i now believe that mbc signal can be received here with 1.8m dish.

una don start oh!which one be 1500 for (lookers).i think say na free air we dey here so.so if nobody seem to turn up u people will ask us to pay for the info (just jocking) i wish am in lagos i go even pay 5k.adewest what is the possiblity of getting hotbird with 2.4m eurostar dish in ph cos i believe i may coime across one very soon.plz post the easiest freq for tracking hotbird,i think as i am not in lagos let me start doing some practical work here cos as i can see if u enter that lagos u fit work till dec 2009.

abeg brother forgive me i owe u a lot,u see i cover so many places in this river state from one creek to island,from land to bush even in sometimes across the sea.My brother someone has to be there for these people to be able to watch satellite tv.Sometime ago gofitech called me to come and to installation in lagos but the load of works in ph here got me sick and i ve to down the invitation down.The signal level here is too low compare to those in lagos and warri,so it takes much time to align a motorized dish here.
So brother forgive me,i was off to one town (Omoku) in river state.I knew next time it ll not be like this.

@ fofo nilesat is beam in the middle east,so once the cloud is clear there it give us advantage and rain is not the main thing that effect our signal but when cloud turn dark.just wait till rainy season to believe. Abeg adebosun no be only u dey post tru fone(i no fit understand ur post,so ll many, so wetin be d need),abeg get opera mini on that fone.

@ fofo - that rain is falling in lagos or in other places in southern nigeria does not mean that what butoneday said is not true.The nilesat signal is coming from middle east and wheather there is fine and dry now.During rainy season even ctl and other cable stations with their 7m dish experienced drop in signal.Thats a lovely son u got there.Any idea whether hotbird has a free 24/7 porn channels cos hotbird was gotten with 2.6m dish in warri sometime last year just on a trial mission. @ all i installed a 4m fiber dish for nilesat in ph today and i got all the V and H transpondant,cnn and all show sports,mbc persia. Tox,jujukemist,gansta and all nilesat users if theres any difficult freq i might be missing let me know.Today i finally believe that the size of dish matters a lot follow by good lnb,even when the cloud cover and rain was falling i still watch cnn and all the H tp.The dish was refoiled by me so its not a new one.Adewest i want to know the possibity of getting 2m nat at w6 and paksat with motorized 1.8m and 2.4m mesh dish here in ph,since u ve someone coming down to ph to install 2.4m, u may verify from him.
