@ enitan
bros line amplifier i cant advice for satellites.in ur own case ur wire are ok,wot u need to do is to come outside and adjust ur dish to the maximum %,tv malawi can be get easily with 4650's cos u ll see the signal coming.plz pple should not put their hope in line amplifier when they ve poor signal.

@ all
it seems that 90% of us here re using 90cm ku band.i ll advice those in lagos that can get 1.8m dish at a cheap rate to go for c-band.there's so much to watch in c-band but in 90cm there's so much to manage.if u re having space problem and u can afford 1.8m dish just look for a longer pool so as the dish ll not occupy space on ground.

this re tip for those that can not afford jack and positioner for motorize.

intelsat 7c @ 68.5 and intel 906 @ 64.2 can go together using two c band lnb combined together,if use the new strong c and ku band lnb,u can also get ku band at the same position.

intel 906 @ 64.2 and intel 904 @ 62.0 can also go together.

ait and cnn can go together including nss7ku.

nta and ait or cnn can still go together.

but above all i think the best remain the 1st one.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 2:58pm On Apr 01, 2008
@ enitan
i never said i used 1.8m dish for tv malawi i used 90cm.last saturday i was at my bros house and i adjusted his dish to signal strength of 95-97% using old strong 4650 and we watched tv malawi live we watched one nigeria soap opera (everyday people) or some other name that i cant remember now but the signal later got very bad.am telling other people in this forum if u re using 90cm dish and on nss 7ku track ur dish to maximum at least 95% with old strong and 97% with x-series.11672h/02790 give it a try and u ll smile.
as for c-band if u get one u ll never dream of paying dstv or ayone again, only if u motorized.
for those who want to get w3a @ 7 degrees always use 10976h/03333 with old strong and 11105h/03800 for x-series while tracking.cheers.
@ butoneday
my guy c-band no fit work for that ur man area even with the lnb i brought new.but i later give him the 4 ku band position.68.5,36,7.0 and 22 degrees.
@ all
fox soccer come with other frequencies like bbc and others, though i was able to get bbc and xhtvl but i believe if i work hard i ll get other free channels there.
N.B. hey, the bbc there is only bbc radio about 27 of them.nawaa for india people.

@ enitan
there re pple u dont doubt.i can never give out info i dont trust in this forum.i used 4640 at first, the signal ll just flash green and go off the same happened with 4650 but i was able to scan out the channel tv malawi live, though the video was breaking so bad but i got tv malawi and anybody can also get it.i cant confirm right now whether the signal is still there cos am not on nss7ku i scaned it out in one of my friend receiver.believe me if u can get signal quality of say 88-93% in this freq 10986v/30000 using 4650 strong receiver i believe u can get it.those of us using 1.8m dish can also give it a try.
bros what about the c-band stuff?any progress?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 1:35pm On Mar 26, 2008
there was this argument about tv malawi in 22 degrees west though according to lyngsat it was beam to south africa but this morning as i was working i got the signal though it was very poor but it showed but the video was breaking so bad. its a good channel at least it speaks english.so no more argument if u track ur dish very well u can as well receive tv malawi in naija, yes it true.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 1:20pm On Mar 26, 2008
hi all,
i just found out fox soccer 55.5 degrees west and to my amazement what are we wasting money on hitv and dstv for.on easter sunday i was able to watch man u vs liverpool through rdv @ 22 degree on ku and chelsea vs arsenal on fox soccer jamaica, and fox soccer ve listed 4 premier ligue matches they re going to hook up on this weekend including some friendly matches which will be played today.sweden vs brazil.
tracking fox soccer is not as difficult as posted previously by some of us.all u need is to get a 2.4m net dish or 1.8m dish though i ve not tried 1.8m but i believe it work.i got it without di-electric n later with di-electric inserted.but which ever way use the best for u.i got higher signal strength when di-electric is inside but i think the video was breaking more.
due to our angle of elevation here in portharcourt our west seems to be down so most jack fall on reaching 55.5 degrees when u re motorized.just bear it in mind that it gonna be very down going west much more down than 68.5 in east.

in need of strong latest software is because of dstv card marriage.i heard dstv is going to shut down cards tht re not married after they finished their marriage stuff.i later download form another receiver in other to access 6969 but the software is downgraded.i need 2008 strong receiver software that can still access 6969.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 1:09pm On Mar 14, 2008
i downloaded the latest strong software from strong website and to my amazement all the software there cannot access 6969 or 8282 but the software is more current than the one we re using plzz anybody who has any idea where i can download latest strong software which can also access 6969 should plz help.
@ enitan
i think i will try w3a only if i reach house on time today.w3a can be get with dish less than 90cm most strong dish in market re 80cm even the one deeper life people re using.though it very easy when use 1.8m cos it in the same alignment with other satellite group when we motorize.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 2:06pm On Mar 06, 2008
@ nale
60-90cm dish can give u w3a.i think what will ve mostly in ph is 80cm not 70cm.i recomend u go for strong dish.but will still ve complete 90cm dish in iloabuchi here.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 2:02pm On Mar 06, 2008
@ salam
getting nilesat in ph is gonna require a very massive dish like 3.2m dish pan or fiber .net dish cannot give u nilesat no matter how big it is.

@ all
plz anyone tracking c band should not use strong x model go for 4640-4652 cos c band signal most time dosnt come immediately and x model signal bar dosnt move untill u re there unlike 4650 which moves the signal bar when u re nearly there.practically when tracking on c band u need to see the signal movement so that u know when to adjust lnb or the dish position, most times for those who re using old model strong on c band u ll notice signal movement in some frequency, some of them if track or adjust well will turn green but x model can never show u a nearby signal.so for best result use the old model strong receiver.x model advantage is only two things (1) lnb connection (2) blind scan.but for tracking signal it will always give wrong information like signal percentage.though is still okay for ku band tracking excluding nilesat and other distance ku band signals.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 5:25pm On Mar 05, 2008
@ all
for those of us who re using dstv smart card with strong receiver, plz dont make the mistake of using ur card with dstv decoder now cos dstv is marrying their smartcard with their decoders.any card married to a particular decoder will not open in any other decoder even strong.though i heard that with strong latest software it can still work on it even when married to any decoder but i ve not confirm it yet,so dont give out ur dstv smartcards.

those of us in south who has bigger dish like 2.4m pan dish and above should try some other satellites position which beam re nearer than nilesat if they re having problem with nilesat. see lyngsat

try only the beam s2 on ku.cheers my man.

if cnn is wot u re looking for in west with ur 1.8m dish i dont think u can get any good channel combination.u can only get either cnn with Ait or cnn with voa and nta i sugget u move to east where u use pulse for ur news channels and eatv for ur entertainment cos pulse hook up to all world news channels daily.i refer u position ur dish to 62 and 68.5 degree u can use ku for 68.5 ku.in general u re gonna use 2 c band lnb one without di-electric and one ku lnb.if u cant do it dont hesitate to call me for assistance but if i should come in person to do it for u remember that i will charge u some fee.

bros wot do u ve to say about mbc uae in badrc @ 26.2 degrees.according to lyngsat the beam reaches us in digital platform but i can only get it here in analogue receiver unlike cnn which is analogue in lyngsat.
@ all
u can get cnn,mbc uae in any part of naija with 2.4m dish but with analogue receiver.

@ bodejohn and enitan
u guys got to take things easy here,in this world of satellite nobody knows it all.cos somebody like me do install dish everyday both c and ku and i ve not had any misunderstanding with anybody.enitan i think wot u should ve done is to ask bodejohn if he still receive the signal to the moment, remember the issue of hitv in west nobody called the guy a liar.this things re aired they can mislead sometime.just like getting nss7c arab bonquet signal in amos ku band frequency.
@ all
plz i will appreciate any type of guess information cos u never knows wot may come.in this forum nobody install dish of any kind more than i ve done cos is a work i choose so plz plz no more misunderstanding.feel free to post any info even if u re not sure we ve experts here that will correct u.WOT WE NEED HERE IS INFO NOT ARGUMENT.
@ salam
i think the best position for 1.8m c band is still intelsat 906 @ 64.2 degrees combinned with intelsat 7c @ 68.5 degrees.two c band lnb position in one position.
N.B.i should ve choose intelsat 902 @ 64 degrees for u but 1.8m dish cannot get sabc 1,2&3 in ph cos the signal is very low and sabc is one of the best channels in fta.
for further assistance u can always call me on 08037058564.
@all
i will still cme up with satellite that can be combined together in c band in case u cant afford a jack an positioner.
like u can get cnn with ait when two c band lnb is combined in west and so many others which i ll list up latter.

i think this eutelw3a is giving a lot of us problem.here is another tip; go to any DEEPER LIFE CHURCH if u re lucky u ll find a dish install in their church premises, then if u re a chap guy memorize the position and the direction of the dish if u re not still ask them of an installer.
N.B. Deeper Life churches use to hook up their program in eutelw3a i dont think they ve any particular frequency so dont ask me their frequency they change freq any time they want to air their program.
plz am not a Deeper Life member am only giving u guys a tip off.if they can get w3a anybody can also do that.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 10:55am On Feb 20, 2008
@ urfriend
eutelw3a is possible wth 90cm dish in naija but it is not easy.i dont want to get u confuse with elevation, azumuth an the rest cos i knew u ll not understand.
this wot u do face ur dish as if u re facing haven but the direction will not face east but as if u re going north use mytv position as ur compass while standing on mytv position spread ur hand go right go almost 90 degree right track with this freq 10976h/03333.track with patient u ll get it.
@ all
while installing 90cm dishes know this fact 68.5 is not in the same direction(azmuth) with dstv 36 degree like wise eutelw3a.dont just say east or west with ur compass cos 7 degree w3a is not exactly east likewise nilsat 7 degree in west.

bros i know with 2.4m fibre dish u can be able to get fox soccer anywhere in naija,my question still remain can anyone get it with 1.8m or net dish in southern naija.
@ all
trend tv is now on with only 5 channels i think is time for me to experiment my 2 lnb stuff with one dish like enigma said i know is gonna be difficult cos most 90cm dish in naija is not complete size but i think i ve one complete size not strong neither space dish.i ll let everybody know the outcome.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 12:47pm On Jan 25, 2008
@ all
am still wondering how some of us get fox soccer 55w in southern naija i dont think is possible but someone said it is using some sky x decoder which i ve never come across i think its sky sat decoder but whatever it is i dont think theres any decode that can track signal easier and faster than strong decoder so am meant to beleive if this channelis possible it shld be only for those in the northern naija cos if u follw the beam u ll see that it is almost impossible for any part of naija.plz someone shld clear me abt this fox soccer channel if u re getting it plz tell me ur location, size of dish and the signal strength u re able to get cos i believe if anybody got it in south i too should get it.
@ butoneday
u mention something abt tracking badr c from warri using a 2.4m strong pan dish,i dont know how u go about it.
@ all
u see these guy butoneday make an impression on me,he suggested that since he was able to get some channels in nilesat with his 2.4m dish in warri, and nilesat beam is farer than badr c in naija, well i dont know whether he got it or not.but u see it a very good idea so those of us in north should try some other satellite that re nearer to us than nilesat and post their exprience.

i dnt think theres any strong decoder that cannot open etv now though the au was down in x-series some days ago but now it has upgraded.no need to ask too many question just go to ur etv and leave it after sometime it will open,i even went to the extend of deleting the key in my 4653x yet it upgraded itself after some seconds.i dnt think anyone is still having problem with etv on strong decoder.
@ all on c-band in southern naija
i think for now the only channels tht can be unlock in c-band is still b4u movie, kbs world, etv and sabc 1,2&3.i ll post any if any come up.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by pitodenz(m): 1:00pm On Jan 24, 2008
@ all
sorry i didnt post this when needed.etv got scrambled only on 4653x,4651x but opens on 4652 downward.what realy happen is that the x-series retained the etv next key inside it whereas 4652 has the in use key inside already.when i was called in for this problem what i did was to collect the in use key from the 4652 and input it manually in the x-series and it started opening etv with 6969 immediately.though i should ve post this then but u see am very busy this days cos this problem lasted for about 4 days b4 x-series au upgraded.but those of u using decoders like skysat can see that their decoder upgrade it almost immediately.
