I have mixed feelings about Vidal leaving for Inter. Dude is one of my fave players but there is nothing bad in cashing on him with a year left on his contract . His high-intensity game has taken a toll on his body and it showed in his performances last season.

I definitely won't be losing any sleep over this. We are more than loaded in midfield. Tolisso had a good first season and I expect him to build on that. Renato has shown he is ready to fight for his Bayern career and Goretzka is coming in. All young midfielders who are only going to get better. And we've still got James and Thiago!! How many clubs can boast of such options?

All the same, i wish him the best in his Inter career. . except against Bayern of course.

This can only be a good thing, cos when those bodies start dropping when things heats up around here, we gon' need all the medical help we can get to put the combatants back in shape. Na you go be Doctor, e-fight treatment and recovery, Shekpe branch. Thank God, your Shekpe brothers sabi get into those fights. Plenty work for you this season.

Nothing here as season never start. I'm yet to see any of our preseason games, just reports and highlights. The results have not been convincing but no need to read much into it, it's preseason after all.

Lewy is still hellbent on leaving. I dey think say the guy go humble come back after him market no sell for Russia. But CR7's exit has changed everything. Well, I say we sell him. There is no point in holding on to a disgruntled player who might poison the atmosphere in the dressing room. I no kuku see im usefulness, the big games you need him the most, na ghost mode my guy go dey.

The only problem is finding a worthy replacement. Sounds crazy but shey we no fit try prise Morata from Chelsea? grin grin. I know, I know grin but the guy is still a decent striker, and JK sorta recognises him (says he's the toughest opponent he's faced). There is no bigger vote of confidence. If JK says you are good, you are good.

Am I the only one looking forward to Tuchel working with Mbappe at PSG next season? World's Best young player meets genius tactician. Sounds like a match made in heaven. Given Tuchel's history with young players, you can imagine what the results will be. Dembele is a good example. TT totally transformed the chap into a monster at Dortmund. . in only one season! It's scary just thinking of what Mbappe could become under his tutelage. Tuchel could be to Mbappe what Pep was to Messi.

Neymar had better watch his back. Kylian is a big threat to his dreams of winning the Ballon D'or. Only 19, you say, well Messi won his first Ballon D'or at 22. Who says this kid can't top that. Ordinarily, Neymar should be the major beneficiary of the change of managers at PSG. He now has a chance to develop his game further under a truly world-class manager but his ego and attitude won't let. Mbappe on the other hand is humble and willing to learn. It's no longer hype, people. Kylian Mbappe is the real deal. The only young player better than Joshua Kimmich. Yes, you heard me right.

Baba, as much as I'm not a big fan of Boateng, the truth must be told. Boateng played well at this World Cup, the sending off aside. Na Hummels be the real fool. Shame dey catch me for am. He has been completely useless this year. He has no business starting for Germany or Bayern again.

I would rather Boateng stays and Hummels goes.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 5:09pm On Jun 27, 2018
I said this shyte about Hummels wasting headers some months ago. I don't know how a CB can be so useless at heading from set-pieces and crosses. He should be doing 10+ goals every season with the number of chances he gets. Dude has been a big disgrace. Even the worst version of Boateng wasn't this bad. We had better start looking for a new CB to partner Sule if Boateng leaves.

Hummels still carry that yeye form come World Cup. See as he fall in the build up to that goal. Guy dey seriously fall my hand. Boateng has easily been the better of the 2 CBs. JK also at fault for overlapping and leav, ing too much space, didn't have the best defensive cover in Ozil though. The number of chances Mexico created in the first half should be a cause of worry for Low. Those guys mean business.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 9:57pm On Jun 12, 2018
Yo, people! I'm so pumped up for the World Cup. Die Mannschaft have not impressed in the friendlies but I'm not too worried. I expect them to up their game when the mundial kicks off.

8 Bayern players made the cut. I was so gutted for Wagner. The man did everything he possibly could but Low has his favorites, players he trusts and knows can get the job done for him and i'm perfectly ok with whatever he does. His record speaks for themselves. There was talk of Wagner being outspoken and that might have counted against him. Sane's omission from the squad was the biggest shock. I feel he would have been a great option off the bench. He offers pace and directness, something the other guys lack. It's a sad story but to be fair he hasn't performed well for the national team.

I'm happy Manu is back and I expect him to dispel any lingering doubts about his form with a wonderful showing at the World Cup.

Group looks easy on paper but we know better. Mexico are a good team with plenty of experience at international competitions. Forget the fact that they got thrashed 4-1 by a second-string German team at the Confed cup grin. The Swedes are stubborn and won't go down easily. You never know with these Asian teams but I'm not expecting much from Korea. Germany to top the group with relative ease.

Brazil look to have gotten their mojo back and are top favorites for me even if the bookmakers disagree. I'm expecting Belgium to finally step up and do something. This Nigerian team is going to surprise a lot of people. It sounds crazy but watch out for the boys in green. I go dey support dem low key. Chai, my optimism is something else, even with the rubbish those boys dey play for friendlies, I still dey hope.

Congrats to you guys on winning your 3rd CL in a row. Incredible. But I no go lie, you guys had a bit of luck on your side. From the questionable officiating to the injuries to key players of the opposition (Robben, Boateng, Salah) to the WTF errors ( Rafinha, Ulreich and Karius). It was as if some unseen force was behind you guys. I still don't know how you guys survived Bayern. But they say you make your own luck and that ability to suffer and still get the job done is one thing that sets Real apart from the likes of Bayern and Barca.

Abeg, you guys should just leave this thing for the rest of us next season. E don do o! Congrats, again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 12:36am On May 20, 2018
The season is over. Time to take stock and look forward to next season.

Hummels really fall my hand. Dude's one of my fave Bayern players but the guy was shyte in recent games. In Boateng's absence, he failed as a leader. For all of his classy and elegant play, he was a disappointment defensively. Getting caught out, giving the ball away in dangerous areas. Not to mention that very annoying habit of wasting setpieces with his wayward headers. I'm surprised no one has called him out on this.

Everyone knows I'm not a fan of Boateng but I'm going to be honest, we missed him. With Hummels playing like his post-World cup self, he could have helped out. We actually didn't lose a game he played in this season, Not saying he is the sole reason but he does makes the team better. His constant injuries are starting to feel Robbery-like. He needs to stay fit.

Sule keeps doing his best Jekyll and Hyde impressions. Turns in a monster performance against Real, shackling the best player in the world but contrives to look like an amateur against bottom clubs. Most own goals in a BuLi season (3) says it all. He's still young though and his performance against Madrid gives me hope for the future.

JK is no doubt the best RB in the world. His show against Real had me bursting with pride. Played with such confidence and composure when even the more experienced players couldn't step up. Could work a bit on the defensive aspects of his game but nothing do my boy grin. Future Bayern and Germany captain.

Vidal is not getting any younger but he's still got use. He should be looking to tweak his game. His high-intensity running game won't last. We've got Tolisso and Goretzka to do that. He would function well as a holding midfielder, rotating with Javi. His positional discipline will be key though. He needs to be able to curb his urge to make those attacking runs.

Thiago is probably the most talented player on our roster. But he needs to match that talent with consistency. He needs to stamp his authority in the big games. That could be the step up to the elite level his talent and skills deserve.

James was Bayern's best player in the second half of the season. There were no doubts about his technical ability but it's his work rate that has caught the eye for me. The man has been running his socks off. His evolution as a CM has also been a revelation. Will be at Bayern for a long time.

Muller. Tommy, Tommy. You can't fault his industry and work rate but the finisher in him is gone. He's no longer the same player. He has tried reinventing himself as a set-up man, as seen by a career high season in assists. Logically, I would have said sell him but that will never happen. The fan in me and everyone won't agree to this. Muller is Bayern and Bayern is Muller. A reduced role next season if we get an attacker

Lewy is overrated. Yes, you read it well. I have spent so much time defending him here but I'm starting to think he is not as good as we think he is. He thinks he should be accorded the same level of respect as Ororo and Messi but never shows up in the biggest games. A 5-game goal drought in the latter stages of the CL is unacceptable for a striker of his supposed quality. He can score 30 BuLi goals 5 times in a row, I don't care. He is not the man to fire us to CL glory. He can fvck off to Madrid or PSG. We should have gone all out for Griezmann last summer. 100 million no too much. Sell Lewy to Real, hijack the Griez to Barca deal, that would be fantastic. The Dybala rumors are also heating up. He is as close as we are going to get in finding our own Messi grin. Our good relationship with Juve could prove crucial.

The less said about Robbery the better. The team needs a minor shakeup this summer. Bernat is leaving, so we might be needing a backup LB for Alaba. Midfield is ok. Martial would make sense on so many levels. Genuinely talented, young and French grin. Werner won't leave Leipzig this season. Keita is gone, Forsberg is almost on his way out. Add Werner and you have RBL selling their best 3 players in one transfer window. Not gonna happen.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 11:32pm On May 19, 2018
Words can't describe how I'm feeling. It's like 2012 all over again. The loss to Real was hard to swallow but I was consoled by the fact that we were the better side in both legs and couldn't have played any better. But this, This is unacceptable. The boys are a fvcking disgrace. After the show of shame against Stuttgart, Jupp's final home game, a game they should have won for him i was so furious i planned on boycotting the final only to change my mind at the last minute. Turns out there was a bigger one in store for me. More than anything, i'm gutted for Don Jupp. The man deserves better. After everything he has done, this is how they send him off. Bunch of ingrates. Shame on the boys. Shame on them. Our second string team defeated this same Frankfurt some weeks. We would've been better off starting Dorsch, Shabani and co at least those ones would have given everything on the pitch. The so-called superstars didn't care enough
to give a great man the farewell he deserved.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 9:14pm On Apr 24, 2018
This Liverpool team go cause us plenty problems o but we've got to take care of Madrid first. Mehn I just can't wait, I've been counting the days since the draws were announced.

No Vidal, but that might be a blessing in disguise. He always has issues controlling his aggression in the big games. Na like say that spirit of madness go just descend upon am. We've seen that recklessness time and time again. The last thing I need is another sending off.

I also think all the talk about Real being favoured by the refs might just play into our hands tommorow. With everything that happened last season and that controversial pk vs Juve, the spotlight will be on the ref and I'm sure he wouldn't want to appear pro-Real. He could be negatively predisposed to Real and that could mean ruling out a legitimate goal, or turning down a strong penalty appeal. Hopefully it doesn't get to that but I don't mind the ref helping us a bit grin.

Whether by hook or by crook, Real Madrid must fall tomorrow!!

Real Madrid, it is! I'm going to be honest here, i'm not
that confident about our chances. Real have won the last 5 meetings between us so it's perfectly normal to be a little shaky. Nothing like La Bestia Negra again. The Black Beast has been tamed, de-fanged and its claws clipped. This was the worst possible draw. Real had some help from the ref last time, but I still think they were the better side and deserved to qualify. I hope things will be different this time around.

The subplots are certainly interesting. "Will Kroos bid his 'football daddy' Heynckes a sad farewell on the European stage?" Who will be the first to hit 3 consecutive CL finals, Zizou or Don Juup? and the big one: James. Will Real allow Bayern field James against them? I don't know much about the conditions of his loan deal but I doubt they would agree. A place in the final is at stake, and Real allowing James play will be tantamount to giving your opponent a knife in a fight. Real are not dumb. Either way, we've got to be ready. If we play like we did in the previous rounds, then we are out.

The BuLi is wrapped up, time to start resting key players. Neuer is back and Alaba should be ready by then. No freak injuries this time around o, abeg. There is also the Pokal semifinal with Leverkusen before that. The next few weeks will be very interesting.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 10:30pm On Apr 13, 2018
My 'very reliable' sources were wrong after all. Niko Kovac will be Bayern's coach next season. All that talk about the new coach having a German 'identity' must have fooled them into thinking it was Nagelsmann.
I'm a bit skeptical about this appointment, more like wait and see. He has done a good job at Frankfurt but Bayern is different. His teams are also not known for playing attacking football, but that could be down to the quality of players at his disposal. I expect he will be bringing his brother Robert along, they both understand the culture at the club and that will be of great help.

So after all the pleading, Robbery still got that extension. Like a jealous ex, we are having problems letting go. I can't believe we will be parading 35 and 36 year old wingers next season. Ribery don use those recent small small performances deceive them. I won't be surprised if he goes back to serving us rubbish. We are just delaying the inevitable. Na kuku 12 months sha.

eph12:
That people celebrate carling cup doesn't change the fact about what it is.

Nobody said anything about the win not being undeserved. You are just arguing with yourself. Sevilla almost destroyed Barca last weekend but for their uselessness they drew the game. If they had won would it have made Barca a useless team?
You shot yourself in the foot by calling Sevilla a useless team forgetting the same so-called 'useless' team knocked out your club. I never called them useless, you did. Let's get that straight.

So, a 'useless' Sevilla side defeats a club, let's call the club in question, Club X, after not one but two games. One can then deduce that Club X must at their very best be a useless club to lose to a 'useless' team such as Sevilla after sufficient periods of play. The only problem you have with this is because in this case Club X happens to be your club Man Utd. If it were to be Granada or Elche, you wouldn't be bothered.

No ifs and buts. This 'useless' Sevilla team is yet to beat Barca over 2 games. So the 'Theory of Uselessness' does not apply here grin. Next time you will be more careful before branding any team 'useless' grin

Damn, I'm starting to sound like Ramuzaki.
