airmark:LOL. Benzema is one player I actually like a lot. He gets a lot of criticism for not scoring enough but he has never been a pure 9. He is better off as a second striker playing off a natural finisher. His link-up play is impressive, has great technique and he runs the channels well. Yes, his lack of pace and sluggishness can be frustrating. And his output as a striker for a club like Real is very disappointing. The lack of competition hasn't helped also. I think he would have raised his game a bit if there was another senior striker at the club. But still, he is a very good player, just not a great finisher. I think the coaches at Real Madrid understand what he brings to the table. This might sound a bit crazy but I suspect Ronaldo would not score as many goals if he was playing with another striker, say someone like Lewy. Those ones would end up duplicating his runs and competing for goalscoring chances. Karim's selflessness and ability to create space is not something you see among most strikers these days. And before you ask me; NO, I wouldn't trade Lewy for him . |
None. Both are still finding their feet as solo artistes. Clearly two heads are better than one. |
pamcode:Lmaoooo! Una no go kill pesin for this section. And you dey sure say money no dey involved? I go ask the guy myself. |
elrony:He is not as good as he thinks he is. You know that vibe or aura everyone gives off in real life or even on the Internet. Yeah, that's it. It's the smallest things that give people like him away. Could be a particular style of writing or a thought pattern. |
TalabiAudu:It's now clear you just don't want to own up. You might be suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder. We have a guy like you on our NBA thread. You dey learn work for e dey. I think everyone can tell the difference between airmark and I. |
TalabiAudu:Why you dey lie na?? You wey go Perugia that year. That one na family matter make we no open am here. Confess. |
TalabiAudu:Mentions and TalabiAudu have similar writing styles. You went to Italy at one point in your life. True or False? |
TalabiAudu:No too stress yourself. You are or used to be Mentions. SeekinAttention and ogbaewon are one and the same person. Am I right? Should I continue? |
TalabiAudu:Hahaha! You don get wahala with many people for here .Wait make I get my trenchcoat and magnifying glass. Sherlock Holmes mode activated. 'A ma to shi aso loju egun'. The masquerade will soon be unveiled. |
TalabiAudu:LOL. Crazy stuff. Odun is a great actor and almost never disappoints. I will check out the movie. BTW, are you atheist5 in disguise? No lie . . |
TalabiAudu:Blessing in disguise for the EPL. At least they are sure of having one representative in the semis. No other league can boast of that at the moment. So yeah, EPL, best league in the world .This your signature get as e be. E dey remind me of one of those Yoruba horror movies by the late Alasari . The lead character for the film na one musician who wan use ritual step up. Im own na to dey perform show for demons at midnight. Those ones go come dey dance give am plenty money. I hope you are not into that same shiit. |
pamcode:Ok ooo! Me dey think money dey involved with the rate at which boys dey rush create match threads. Especially that Omooba fella. That guy no dey joke at all. |
Best possible draw. Now I just need Juve to knock out Real and then Roma pulling an upset against Barca. |
pamcode:You guys no dey waste time at all. Sharp sharp you don quickly open thread ![]() I dey suspect say Seu.n dey pay money for front page topics which might explain why guys rush to quickly create threads for big matches which might get featured on FP. All the best in the hustle . |
Who did Man Utd get in today's CL draw? Oh, I see, Liverpool. Not bad eh? Err. . wait a minute, that looks like. . Damn, I forgot. . ![]() |
Dominant performance at a very difficult ground. Don Jupp really surprised me with the lineup. That starting XI was as good as our best XI. This injury wahala is starting to get on my nerves. Thiago, no go get any serious injury . Thank God we have James. Wagner is our new Mr Reliable. Ready whenever you need him to get the job done. Congrats to Herr Heynckes on the milestone. 11 straight wins spanning 5 years!! Hard to believe. Hopefully more records on the way, like the first manager to reach 3 consecutive CL finals. Or first manager to win back-to-back trebles . In today's Pep-centric and Mourinho-crazy world of managers, the man doesn't get the level of respect he deserves. A'mean he is fvcking 72! |
United fans can take solace in the fact that there will likely be another party in the next 24 hrs. Airmark, Nihilist party small small o, your own too dey come tomorrow. |
Let's get this party started!!! ![]() |
Taking shots, are we? It's all good, though. "One of you said". That yarn bust my brain . |
Roland17, oya come o make we pop champagne. Finally Baba Cech don enter 200. And that penalty save to top it off. After 2 months, e no easy. |
obainojazz:Taa! Ever heard of the phrase "La Bestia Negra"? Only someone who started following football yesterday would say Bayern na regular customer for Madrid hand, no disrespect. Last time I checked, we are tied on H2H. Too lazy to confirm though . |
No surprises here. Hamburg na costumer dada ni. Those guys must hate travelling to the Arena. But watch them 'kusibe' whenever we play them away. I just can't explain it. Never thought I would say this but mehn Ribery was fantastic. That second goal brought back old memories. If only he could play like this every match day. Kimmich had a very good game and we can now confidently say the old Alaba is back. And Lewy just keeps breaking records. Most prolific foreigner in the club's history. I don't know much about the stats but i think yesterday was the first time I saw him miss a PK. Like ever. But surely the go-to man for us from 12 yards. I hope Tolisso's injury isn't too serious, the young man is finally getting into his own and it would be really bad if it were to be anything more than a knock. The return leg against Besiktas is effectively a dead-rubber so I expect Don Jupp to give some of the fringe players a run-out. A strong team nonetheless. |
aliondo:Been a while, bro. I've not been watching much of our games lately so. . I see we dropped from 5th to 7th, and that means there is a big possibility of getting GSW. Everyone is picking up steam and going on streaks but we are just. . I don't think PG will still be here next season. The Big 3 Project hasn't shown much promise. We've got a washed-up, overpaid Melo and the second unit is pretty useless. As always, our hopes lies In Russ. |
larride:Anytime wey I enter bus like this, that thing just dey replay for my head. That signature was over 3 years ago and I still remember it till today. |
larride:"That 'mogbe' moment when you enter a bus and the driver starts singing Dagrin's 'If I die'. " ![]() Does this sound familiar? .I swear that shyte never gets old. |
MitrikDenholm:Wrong thread, bro!! . I can see you are happy TT is injured. He's been hexed by that Kardashian beech. Has always been a wack player though. I hear my favorite Cav Sir JR Smith threw soup at the assistant coach . Another one to the collection. Trouble is never far away from The Land. |
Roland17:I don't particularly watch the Serie A much these days but I still follow events and happenings in that league. Take out the BBC trio and you would struggle to name one very good Italian CB. Shey na Rugani wey don dey chop bench even with Bonucci gone . Barzagli is like 37 now, Chiellini is 33/34 yet Juve had to go and bring in Benatia, which shows how 'highly' they think of him or is it Rannochia who was stripped of the captain armband at Inter and was sent packing to Hull City. Acerbi?? Maybe Romagnoli but I'm not totally convinced. There are very good CBs in the Serie A but how many of them are Italian? |
MitrikDenholm:Wow. I'm impressed. You really do know your club. I never really rated Astori the few times I saw him play. He and Andrea Rannochia. For some reason i always saw them as footballing twins. When you grow up watching world-class Italian defenders like Maldini and Nesta, you tend to set a very high standard which can be unfair on the upcoming generations of CBs. Bernie wanted a upgrade, who wouldn't want to play for the best team in Italy. Loyalty is overrated in sports. You've got me interested and i will be keeping an eye on your team. |
Roland17:The wait continues o. E be like say Cech sef no wan enter 200. It must be really hard supporting Arsenal at this period. Wenger would do well to resign come the end of the season. The players have also let him down and should take the larger share of the blame. There has always been this mental frailty with this team. The dressing room lacks leaders and strong characters. Just a bunch of overpaid pussies. Rino has really rejuvenated Milan. He had a tough start on the job but things are now clicking. I've been impressed with the Cutrone kid. I remember seeing him in a pre-season friendly against Bayern. He scored twice in that game, I think. Ehen, what about that Mastour boy? He had a bright future ahead of him and now it's like he's disappeared. I guess the hype was too much. Sorry about the sad news about Astori yesterday. I know he came through the ranks at Milan. Wasn't really a good defender IMO, I used to think of him and Andrea Rannochia as 5&6, symbols of the decline in the quality of Italy's famed CB production line. Maybe I was a little harsh on him. |
MitrikDenholm:Errm. . you can be quite the pain in the arse sometimes but easily misunderstood also. BTW, I hear you are a Fiorentina fan. That's a bit odd but hey people say the same thing when i tell them I support Bayern.Sorry to hear about the passing on of your captain Astori yesterday. Real tragedy. I don't follow Italian football much these days but I think you guys are not as good as in past years. I remember the Viola under Cesare Prandelli. That team was very good. A certain mop-haired teenager by the name of Stevan Jovetic caught my fancy back then. Talented but always getting injured. There was also Sebastian Frey who was unlucky not to be French no 1 at that time. |
MitrikDenholm:What a pleasant surprise! What brings you to these parts. Hope you don't plan on starting trouble here o. Looking forward to your thoughts and submissions on the beautiful game. |
Abeg, when is Cech hitting that historic 200th PL clean sheet mark? It's been over 2 months now and Baba just can't keep the ball out of the net. The defence is useless but he has only himself to blame. Baffling Gk errors every now and then. Shoutout to Roland17, at least your second team Milan and the Celtics are doing well, so you go use that one dey clear your unhappiness. That Bayern form still dey my hand if you ever change your mind. You know what i mean ? ![]() |
