Thiago Alcantara has scored in all of his 3 matches against Leipzig. Another goal today, perhaps?

And you are also entitled to yours. Lewandowski does pretty much everything you listed up there as much as Kane if not even better. Here we go again with 'the best league in the world' talk. Stop making it sound like the EPL is some kind of ultra-competitive league. Is this not the same league we are seeing Man City rack up cricket scores almost every weekend. Lewy would score goals anywhere. Be it in England or Italy.

Lewy was the first player in 50 yrs to hit 30 goals in the Bundesliga and guess what ? he did it again last season. 30 goals back-to-back. Let that sink in. Only Ronaldo and Messi has scored more CL goals in the last 4 seasons and he is still the only player to score 4 goals in a CL semifinal match. He has to bang in the goals for one of the biggest clubs on the planet while still carrying the hopes of an average footballing nation on his shoulders. Talk about pressure. Single-handedly carrying them to major competitions while topping the scorers' charts and breaking goalscoring records. Lewy has led teams to multiple title triumphs. Kane can't even help Spuds win a plastic spoon. Best striker in the world indeed. What's the point in scoring all these goals when you end up winning nothing.

If you are gonna argue, at least get your facts right. Kane is 24, not 22. And who told you Real weren't interested in Lewandowski? Google is your friend. [/s]

Homesteady is surprisingly not at home today.

He paid a bus fare from Marina to Surulere...yet the BRT bus is now back at the depot in Ojota. The driver has gone home and locked the doors.

Homesteady is still sat at the back of the bus...crying..
Nihilist, Walahi you no well. It's been 3 days now and I still have this vivid image of homesteady in his faded 'Up Barka' Jersey crying himself to sleep at the back of a dark, empty BRT bus grin grin.

Whilst all you've written is true, you only showed us why over the years, Lewy is heads and better than Kane but for the past 2 seasons? I doubt he is better than Kane...
Past 2 seasons, so we are looking at from 2016 till date. OK, Lewy has scored more goals than Kane during that period. Lewy has won more trophies for his club during that period. Lewy has led his modest Poland to 2 major competitions, the Euros and the World Cup, scoring the most goals for both qualifying campaigns. Should I go on?

You're entitled to your opinion. Lewadoski is not better than Kane. Maybe two years ago better than Kane but not in the last 18 months. Kane drops deep into midfield and build up from the back. Move the ball from either wings and provides assist in almost every game. He scores for fun. He's had 3-5 hatricks in 2017 alone in the best and most competitive league in the world.

I repeat, Harry Kane is not in league of Lewadoski at the moment. Harry Kane has scored 45 goals in 2017 alone despite missing 13 games in 2017 through ankle injury. Leave sentiment in the trash bag and be honest.

Harry Kane is the best no 9 in the world at the moment. He defends, moves the ball well, assists and scoring goals for fun. Real Madrid is circling him for a reason and not Lewadoski. Kane is only 22 years old and already scored more than 100 goals in the EPL. That's is not an easy task for a striker in England.
And you are also entitled to yours. Lewandowski does pretty much everything you listed up there as much as Kane if not even better. Here we go again with 'the best league in the world' talk. Eat your words. Harry Kane is the best striker in the world today. He's the most valuable striker based on his age and last three years stats. He has a staying power. You can go ahead and continue to throw more insult like a kid you're. I don't care

Harry Kane is gonna be here for a long time.
I think you are getting something wrong here. I have nothing against Kane. He's clearly the best striker in the EPL. The only problem is you claiming he is the best in the world. The phrase you should have used is ' the most in-form striker'. There is form, and there is class. Class or quality trumps form. CR7 is clearly not in top form but does that mean he is not one of the top 2 players in the world?

I'm sorry, where did I insult you again? Now you are the one acting like a kid. I'm just gonna let this slide. Harry Kane is a fantastic footballer and I actually enjoy watching him play but the truth is Lewandowski is better.

Difficult game today but it was expected. Hamburg are always tough costumers when they play us at home. The funny thing is these same guys get pummeled when they come to the Allianz Arena .

I also feel the rotation was partly to blame for today's performance. The cohesion and fluidity of the last 2 games wasn't there. James didn't really put up a strong claim for a starting shirt today. I wasn't impressed but to be fair to him, he only played 45 mins.

It was nice seeing Dortmund drop points for the second consecutive game. We've got Leipzig just behind us. Both are our next 2 opponents in the league so the next few weeks should be interesting.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 11:09pm On Oct 18, 2017
Looks like we'll just have to settle for second place with the way PSG are playing. Those guys will take some stopping.

Lewy has been struggling in last few games, today was no different. Nothing went his way. And Someone needs to start taking those free kicks off him. I can't even remember him getting one on target. We played very well today, it could have been more if not for the Celtic goalkeeper. We also gave away a few chances but Ulreich was there to clean things up. I wonder what he's been taking these days. And yes, I'm deliberately leaving out someone's name cos I don't know what else to say about him. You already know who I'm talking about cheesy.

God! That had me cringing. Prayers up for Gordon Hayward. Just too early in the season for this. Really feel bad for the man. Got through preseason only to break your leg in your first few minutes for your new team. Get well soon, Hayward.

It's finally here. Tip-off is just around the corner. My predictions for this season:

KD to win regular-season MVP.

Joel Embiid to finally stay fit and play at least 70 games this season grin.

Thunder to make Western Conference Final.

Lonzo Ball to be the Biggest disappointment of the season. Not hating, just stating the truth. Kid's overhyped.

Dortmund seriously falling hand in Europe. They couldn't even beat fvcking APOEL, a'mmean! Can it get any worse? They should just go to the Europa League and win it.

Leipzig try sha. They are still in with a chance of qualifying from their group.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. I would like to see James get a start. Vidal should be back in place of Martinez. Hoping to see an improvement on Saturday's performance , and of course plenty of goals.

The Bavarian juggernaut is back in business, guys! Our biggest win yet this season. Don Jupp kicking things off with a bang.

Martinez did play midfield today and he didn't look like he's been away. Heynckes clearly sees him as DM and I've got no problem with that. He was subbed off clutching his shoulder, hopefully it's nothing serious.

I like the Thiago I saw today. Dude wasn't afraid or shy to shoot. Unlike before when he would have preferred to pass. Like last season when we saw him put in serious defensive work, this could be another stage in his evolution as a world-class CM.

JK was a bit shaky in the first half. But then he turned up as expected and topped it off with that sumptuous back heel goal. I'm running out of superlatives for this boy.

Robben was buzzing as usual and was unlucky not to get a goal. Coman had a good game also with a goal and an assist . And yes, no dodgy goalkeeping from Ulreich today. We thank God.

Feels good to be back to winning ways. Now on to Celtic on Wednesday.

Javi Martinez must return to midfield, at least till the end of the year.

Jupp and mainly his performance will decide if he continues there after the winter break or not.
Jisos Kraist!! grin grin . Na who I dey see so? It's been ages, man. Dude, you need to show face more often. Hope everything's good.

Me o, I'm okay with Rudy for now. The guy has done a decent job so far. I think he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. The current Javi isn't the same as the one we had back in 2013. Injuries have taken their toll on him. Not to mention, he hasn't played this position for years. I think that ship has sailed. We should just move on.

Bro, what are your expectations for the season now that Herr Heynckes is back at the helm? A treble is asking a bit too much but we've earned the right to be greedy, haven't we? grin .

A number of our players won't be going to next year's World Cup. Actually just 2. Robben and Alaba. Holland were a big disappointment. I just feel for Robben, the man gave everything till the last moment. He deserved a better farewell than this.

Those Austrians sef. They were just lucky overachievers last year. Dem no sabi anything. That was how they flopped at the Euros. Alaba no even dey form, how dey want take qualify.

Hopefully Vidal and James make it through on the South American side of things.

Random question, guys. Who's got the best knee slide goal celebration in the EPL? A friend thinks it's Hazard but I'm tempted to go with Emre Can. I can't think of anyone else aside those two. More names?

Also, there's this English midfielder wey dey always like to dey turn like barber chair like this. Dude's retired now but his name skips my memory. Anybody, remember?

So Benzema and Oblak both made the shortlist for this year's Ballon D'or but there is no room for one of the best midfielders in Europe last season in Thiago. France Football, una wehdone!

Speaking of Thiago, I hear he picked up an ankle injury on national duty. Just hope it's not too serious. Anything else would be devastating.
