Wow, it's been a long time..

Yeah that reunion wouldn't be a bad idea..
I know, I know! grin grin I've got this rather grand plan of bringing everybody back here. I know it's a tough one but there is no harm in trying. You could pull a few strings too, you know. You know some of these guys very well.

I know this is a bit strange. I, myself don't know why I'm doing this. I've been away and have not visited this section in a while. But every time I pop in, it breaks my heart to see what the place looks like. A virtual cemetery. We had a good thing going on here. The friendship, the laughs we shared, the fun-filled atmosphere. We were one big family. But then things started to fall apart. We all went our separate ways.

I'm guilty. I'm guilty of leaving my first and true home on Nairaland behind. But like the prodigal son, I'm back. Some may ask why now? I dunno, I guess a fire just lit up in the inside of me.

Now i know we all have our real lives. Life doesn't start and end on NL. I'm not asking for full commitment, a little post here and there, a little banter and the section will be brimming with life again.

So, Forum Gamers, old and new. Let's make this section great again!!!

It's coming a bit late but better late than never. Happy 28th birthday to everyone's favourite Bavarian. The one and only Raumdeuter(i just had to do that) himself Thomas Muller. Wishing you the very best, Tommy. A return to peak form would be the best birthday gift ever.

I'm not happy with the off-the-pitch state of affairs at the club. It's like FC Hollywood all over again. Lewy is talking a bit too much. First it was how the boys failed to support his golden boot chase last season and now criticizing the club's transfer policy. He don forget say Kalle no dey take shyte from nobody. I just hope they resolve this before it descends into something damaging. Lewy failing to pass to Robben yesterday when he was open was a bit unsettling. He is the best striker in the world and the most important player in our team. We need him in top physical and mental shape if we are to succeed this season.

Ribery na agbaya. A 35 year-old man throwing tantrums. Something wey Kimmich and Coman no dey do. Kalle and Hoeness should get some of these senior players in line. They never pass to chop cane o.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 6:42am On Sep 13, 2017
Just another run-of-the-mill win. Nothing spectacular. Joshua Kimmich is definitely one of the best fullbacks out there. Just look at the assist for Thiago and that third goal. The team definitely has a lot of work to do. We still looked occasionally vulnerable despite being a man up. PSG, on the other hand look the real deal. I was expecting Celtic to give a them a hard time but they made it look easy.

The battle for top spot will be very tough but I still think Bayern will win. For all of PSG's attacking firepower, there is still this naivety in their play. I've seen some of their Ligue 1 matches and their defence is not all that great. I'm also looking forward to the matchup between Neymar and Kimmich on the side. Promises to be interesting.

Na Ribery babe be that. I remember him jokingly untying her boot laces during one of our cup matches. I don't think he would have tried that ish with Felix Brych or even that Barca ref Aytekin. I know I shouldn't be saying this but she's no oil painting so don't expect to see the players drooling over her but seriously good one for her. Nice to see the womenfolk getting involved. Like Wenger said, we might have a female manager at one of the top clubs sooner than we think. Still a long way off though.
Scratch that!!! Na Howard Webb dey knack am sha. Now I'm having these strange thoughts in my head. Nobody should ask me about it grin grin.

Uninspiring debut for our boy Renato Sanches today at Swansea. He kept losing the ball and nearly lost his head. I wasn't hoping for an instant impact but I was not impressed with what I saw today. Early days though. Spurs next week will be a big test.

I missed Agueros 4 goals vs Tottenham 3 years ago blud. I sold him that morning because he hadn't scored in like 3 or 4 consecutive games.

25 points down the drain.

I also missed most of Sanchez's game last season as I stubbornly refused to believe his swag could last, while banking on the same Aguero.

The FPL gods have been immeasurably cruel to this poor servant.
LOL. I think I remember you wailing about that Aguero one. It was an early kickoff abi?

My biggest fear in fantasy football is not having a captain fail or getting a red arrow. It's seeing points on the bench. Even with the Bench Boost chip, I still haven't gotten over that phobia.

Hahaha! Carroll is currently playing for Swansea so fogerrit. .

If it's any consolation I once had the misfortune of benching a midfielder who went on to score a hattrick. Santi Cazorla on a Monday evening vs Reading way back in 2012, I think. It's my worst fantasy football memory, I no fit ever forget am. I nearly lost my sanity. For days, I no fit even pick my team. There is also Bale dropping 16 pts at Old Trafford one season like that. Most people here fell for that one. Chai! FPL done do me strong thing I suppose open book of fantasy woes.

Congratulations to Bibiana Steinhaus as she becomes the first ever female referee to officiate a Bundesliga match.

It would interesting to see if the players accord her the same respect given to her male counterparts.

Move over, BMG, Hoffenheim are our new boogey team. God knows what I would do if I ran into Ancelotti today. He keeps rolling out that stale 433 and expects the boys to turn up. The defence has been very disappointing. Neymar and co will be licking their lips. Maybe it's time to consider a three-man defence.

E be like say i go start campaign soon. You mess up, you get called out. I don't care who you are. Step forward, Mats Hummels. Had a decent game but went to sleep for that first goal. Coman just leaves me scratching my head sometimes. That boy can be frustrating to watch. His decision making and final balls are nothing to write home about. Who else remain? Muller, but his case is understandable as he is not exactly brimming with confidence.

Carlo had better get it right. I'm not even satisfied with the league and a CL final appearance. He has to win the league and Cl. Anything less, he is a goner.

Alaba out for a month. Dude has been shitty anyway but still. . Bernat still recovering. You know what that means. Hold your breath, people it's Rafinha time!! Friedl would probably serve as backup.

Caught a glimpse of PSG's new lethal strike force tonight and mehn those guys are gonna take some stopping. Still expect us to put them in their place though.

Hoffenheim tomorrow, reunion for Rudy and Sule. Waiting to see what the starting lineup looks like. Hopefully Muller gets to start. I no want any more wahala on this matter. Boateng Neva dey fit since all these days ni? Airmark, e be like say I don dey miss our guy o.

Watching other clubs scrambling to make last-minute signings just dey make me laugh. Can't they just take a leaf out of Bayern's book and get their business done early? Well na their own wahala be that.

I'm very much okay with this summer's business. Would have loved us to get Sanchez but still nothing spoil. An 8/10 from me.

Sanches going out on loan to Swansea is a decent move. I expect him to get more playing time after all the likes of Carroll and Fer aren't exactly world beaters. His physicality should see him adapt quickly. I will be keeping an eye on him and hopefully he doesn't disappoint.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 9:37am On Aug 24, 2017
See as Liverpool take disgrace Hoffenheim. If na Bayern dem dey play, dem go dey agidii like say their life depend on am. Same thing with Schalke, Leverkusen and BMG. They get raped abroad, but when they face Bayern, na to die for there.

Those teams be disgracing German football. Dortmund are the only other team wey dey rep. Anybody waiting for the day Germany go get 5 CL slots go wait tire. Beyond the top 2, the other teams are useless in Europe. It's sad but it's the truth.

Somehow hoping we get Barça in today's draw but something tells me we will getting one of those English sides. Or maybe PSG.

I'm currently enjoying the current state of affairs at the club. I believe the German word for it is Schadenfreude. So long may your woes continue. The only person wey i just pity small na Messi. Dude had better jump ship while he can cos this Barça is sinking like the Titanic.

The GW2 curse strikes again this year. Every season after making a decent score in GW 1, everything just goes awry the following week. Players blanking and collecting cards on top. This season no be am at all. See as Jesus dey drop one pointers, I just pray he doesn't resurrect and starts scoring when I commot am for my team. Team surgery underway . WC activated!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 12:30am On Aug 23, 2017
New season. Not much difference. I no go lie that pre-season form had me worried a bit. I just dey pray make season start.

My expectations for this term are a bit lowered unlike in previous seasons. I have learned not to raise my hopes too high. It's a big season for Carlo and the boys and they know it. No excuses this time around. The minimum target for me is getting to the final of the CL and winning the league of Course. Anything less. . . I know some people are going to whine and cry about us winning the league for about the hundredth time but who cares? Haters gonna hate anyways.

The usual injury fest is on. The thing dey tire me sometimes. Good to see the new boys settling in well. The defence is a bit shaky but I expect things to get better when Neuer returns. I hear Thiago is also back in training. Not so much excited by Martinez's return. It's all good though. Dortmund have Started well as expected despite the talks surrounding Dembele. Hopefully they can push us all the way. God knows I don't want another stroll to the title. It's still early days yet but Leipzig are in for a reality check this season. Make dem just quickly ja for Europe. Schalke and Leverkusen are having a different look this season so we will just have to wait and see.

Today's game was a strange one. We dominated play, created chances but struggled to convert. It could have easily ended 5-1.

At this point i only care about the performance not necessarily the result. James looked sharp and was a big threat all through. Lewy had a quiet game. The rest were decent, nothing special. All in all, a good game. AC Milan next on the 22nd.

Wetin Martinez do u wey u dey vex these day? Me want to know.
My brother, i'm yet to forget how he sabotaged our efforts last season. Nigga was on a one-man mission to wreck our season. 2 bookings in a space of how many minutes against Real that completely turned the game on its head. That shambolic showing against Dortmund in the DFB Pokal semi. And some other games in the league.

Hummels has been covering his arse. He's clearly better off as a DMF but we all know that ship sailed a long time ago. I expect Sule to usurp him as our 3rd CB.

Well pique is taller and faster than him. He probably sleeps in fast food restaurants. The level i expect bayern defenders to be may be too high for him. Another burndisleaguedown trophy already in the bag again.
Nah.

From your 'Bible', Whoscored:

Niklas Sule: 195cm 97kg.

Gerard Pique: 194cm 85kg.

So you see he's not only taller but BIGGER than Pique. And he's definitely faster. I read somewhere during the week that Sule clocked a top speed of 21.4 miles/hr last season which is about the same speed as Kingsley Coman who is statistically the fastest player at Bayern. That shows the boy can turn on the burners if he wants. Maybe his huge size masks his athleticism. I'm pretty sure Sule will definitely beat Hummels in a foot race.
