Very very sad. I am sorry for great loss, op. Though I don't know the circumstances that led to such a terrible crash, I hope all who view this thread would see it as a lesson that You Should Drive For Safety, not speed or gara gara. The immutable laws of physics does not respect anyone. Getting to your destination SAFELY should be your only concern when you are behind the steering wheels. Nigerian drivers drive like they are all on a suicide mission. Safety is given the least consideration. Everyone, trailer drivers, commercial bus drivers, etc all drive like they are in a Formula 1 race where they must command the entire road at the fastest speed. In a country that majority of the people believe that accidents only happen to unlucky people or by witches and wizards, terrible crashes like this occurs every day throughout Nigeria. So, everyone, before your start that ignition on your next journey, kindly remember the picture you have just seen on this thread, and do your utmost to prevent it. |
So one of the biggest celebrated achievements of this APC government so far this year is that the President is able to attend jumat prayers ? ![]() Like someone asked earlier on, is this how low Nigeria has fallen in just the past 2 years ? The agonizing tragedy of Misplaced Trust. ![]() |
legitnow:Indeed. The blood of those innocent victims of the 2011 Buhari riots will not rest until that power-hungry despot leaves office in great Ignominy. |
newbornmacho:Exactly. We have cowards and brave men in every tribe and in every community. We have people who are loyal to their convictions and people who are only loyal to their personal interests also in every tribe. Fayose, FFK and Wike, The TRIUMVIRATE, have represented their father's names and tribes most admirably. |
newbornmacho:Excellent points. Don't forget Chris Okotie as well, who told his members that Buhari was the best thing for Nigeria. And OH, OH. Don't forget that clown in Enugu called Mbaka as well. At one point, we couldn't see where his head ended and where Buhari's arse began. |
frank317:Superb. ![]() |
Ishilove:Meaning ? ![]() |
blackpanda:I am Not surprised that the points elude you. |
blackpanda:What is so evil about death ? What is so evil about an old sick man whose body is withering away the way nature intended it. We all know that Buhari is too far gone to regain his youthful health and vitality. You have no idea how Buhari himself feels and what pains he must be enduring every minute. You have no idea if Buhari himself is even praying for death to come quicker than it is taking. What primitive mindset does not allow people like you to accept and appreciate death and the necessity of death as part of the natural cycle of life ? |
HITdemUP:Nairaland is a place where people freely give their opinions, as well as attack the apposing opinion of others. It is not a cheerleaders club. Once you post an opinion here, you no longer own it, because everyone is free to offer rebuttals. My point is that if you don't want your opinions, whatever they may be, to be rebutted, then pls refrain from posting your opinions here. |
positivetaught:Thank you jare. No one dare call Buhari the incompetent buffoon that he is. |
sarrki:Ha ha ha. What a hilarious charade. What a funny, but very sad Irony. Buhari in prison in Aso Rock. The travails of a power hungry nonentity. While Power hungry dinosaurs slug it out in Aso Rock Villa, Nigeria suffers. ![]() Sarki, has Nigeria ever had it this bad ? I pray that Amadioha, Shango, all the gods of the lands remove these bunch of cretins from the face of the earth soonest. |
What can really surprise anyone in this basket case country anymore? People have have won senatorial seats while under detention for murder. People have won gubernatorial election while in prison for fraud. Come 2019, Buhari may win the presidential election while in a coma in London , or as a clinical Vegetable in Aso Rock Villa. In Nigeria, we are record setters in dysfunctionality. |
aribisala0:Lol. You tactfully evaded my question by choosing to rant about my opinion. Is just my opinion or fact that we, Nigeria are currently under the stewardship of a physically incapacitated man, a clinical Vegetable ? Is our democracy now stronger or strong enough to be able to , once again, vote out a failed leadership, just like we presumably did in 2015? That is a very simple and harmless question, and definitely not a silly question. |
aribisala0:Your post is most interesting because I agree with everything you have said. It is also puzzling to me that you find fault in what I have written. I am not making excuses for Jonathan if you think he was a failed leader. I don't know your definition of a failed leader. Jonathan's electoral defeat and eventual concession of power was no doubts a great victory for democracy and of also mature statesmanship. The irony is that reality was really distorted for Nigerian voters to have voted in a man of far less candour, integrity and patriotism than Jonathan. Anyway, that is history. Now, Let me ask you. Do you think that Nigerian democracy is now more stronger or much weaker to be able to repeat the feat of voting out a failed leadership, a clinical Vegetable , as we speak ? That is the important question. |
FunkyMetahuman:So you want me to answer in Zombie-speak ? ![]() If you are not English comprehension- challenged, then you would have realized that I not only answered your questions, but went way beyond to explain with indisputable facts,. something that I suspect that Buhari Zombies might be allergic to. I don't think GEJ is a saint. In fact , I was as critical of his many administration gaffus as I am with Buhari. But GEJ is undoubtedly a sincere, patriotic man, a much more sincere and patriotic man than Buhari is or would ever be in 10 lifetimes. I am just appalled and disgusted at the sheer hypocrisy, dishonesty and selective amnesia of Buhari's promoters. Even when we are being presently ruled by a clinical Vegetable in Aso Rock Villa , they are still cheering him and blaming Jonathan. |
FunkyMetahuman:Ask yourself. Is boko Haram a reality or fake ? BUHARI has reportedly spent $2b in 2yrs to fight boko Haram, much more than GEJ reportedly spent on 5 yrs . Nigerian security related budget in 2016 and 2017 budget surpasses all previous budgets ever. So who do you think is using boko Haram as ATM? |
FunkyMetahuman:Absolutely not. All the thieves are in or have decamped to APC. |
FunkyMetahuman:My friend, let's be objective here. Nigeria is synonymous with corruption, right from say, the 70s, and it has progressively gotten worse over the many decades. The 1966 coupe was done to overthrow a corrupt federal government. Murtala Mohammed overthrew Gowon's regime for corruption. Buhari overthrew the Shagari regime for corruption. Corruption took a whole new dimension during the ensuing military regimes of Bsabangida, Abacha and Abdusalami. Then came OBJ. Though adjudged by me as the best we have ever had, his regime was also riddled with corruption, monumental corruption. It is on record that OBJ spent billions of Naira of state funds for re-election and his third term ambition. It is on record that he amassed great personal fortunes, bought many state enterprises through his Trasnscorp, etc, while president. It is also on record that as soon Buhari was sworn in, OBJ quickly returned sum of $200m naira that he was supposedly keeping for the government. A story for the birds. ![]() Everyone seems to have developed amnesia about al that. Then comes GEJ. A humble man with no political pedigree or ambitions. He got down to work, ignoring all the noise and giving his country the best that he could. I rate him the most committed Nigerian leader we ever had. By virtue of his nature, he was considered a weak leader who could not control the excesses of his subordinates. And yes, there was corruption during his regime, as there was during OBJ's regime, as there was during Abdusalami's regime, as there was during Abacha's regime, IBB's regime, and the regimes before that, and surely, as there is massive corruption under this current Buhari's regime. The reason I defend GEJ so passionately is my annoyance at the selective amnesia and dishonesty of most Nigerians who pretend and promote the false narrative that corruption started with Jonathan . There is absolutely ZERO proof to date that Jonathan enriched himself, his family and friends with public funds. This current regime has had more misappropriation of public funds in 2 yrs than Jonathan has ever been accused of in his 5 yr reign. I find it funny, as well as irritating that everyone, including yahoo boys, Pentecostal fraudsters and people who cannot be trusted with N20, all scapegoat and blame Jonathan for the widespread corruption in Nigeria that has its roots squarely in the distorted federation that , a joke of a federation , that we have been running since the 70s. |
FemoPolitics:Nonsense. Obasanjo is not stuuupid enough to utter such nonsense. He who lives in glass house does not throw stones. There is no evidence that Jonathan's personal net worth increased dramatically in the 5 years he was in power. On the other hand, Obasanjo, though credited with many achievements, squandered Nigeria's Commonwealth like no other, and amassed stupendous financial fortunes during his tenure. No one can dispute that. |
Autopin:slowpoke, which foolish god carved out Nigeria ? Gosh!! This is the tragedy of not teaching history in Nigerian schools. Nigeria was carved out as a colonial , profit-making business for the Royal Niger Company and imperial Britain. Duuuhhhh! |
paramakina202:Yeah. Soyinka has not been himself ever since the N87m dinner, abi lunch, Amaechi served him in Rivers state. |
Cooly100:Lol. Good for you Woke Soyinka. You asked for him, you got him BUHARI. ![]() Ntoorr. |
baylord101:Funny Nigerians. A snake bit and killed someone in your community , and god is wonderful There is obviously something missing there. Was the victim an enemy of the community ? |
swuftz:Nonsense. Only in a Jungle republic such as we have now can YOU say that someone is locked out of power. It shows how very narrow minded Buhari and his Zombies are. I guess that's why they are called Zombies. In a constitutional democracy, power belongs to everyone. Let me repeat it again. The issue before us is INTEGRITY. Where is Buhari's INTEGRITY and PATRIOTISM ? Has he ever had them or has it been all a myth all this while ? Only Buhari can answer that question by resigning for the good of country, or die in office with ignominy. We are waiting. I will put my money on the latter. |
Dclique:He is telling the truth. If harsh words are what are required to drive home the truths, do let it be. The best that those of you that pray can do is to pray that Buhari passes away quickly, so that Constitutional due process, normalcy and sanity can prevail at the corridors of power. |
LaEvilIMiss:Another BULLSHIT. Blame everyone but Buhari. The issue here is about honour, personal integrity, patriotism. Does Buhari have them or not ![]() A man of honour, as obtains in more civilized nations, would put the interest of the country first ahead of his ambitions and parochial interests. BUHARI is not doubt physically incapacitated and unfit to carry out his duties as president of Nigeria. Honour , integrity and patriotism behoves him to resign, let the country move on, then take care of his health and spend his waning months with his family and loved ones. His obstinacy is creating maximum confusion and chaos in the land. What good man can drag his beloved country through this ? |
galaxy2020:Lol. Nigeria has become the first Democratic country in the world to be ruled by a Vegetable. Not funny at all. ![]() |
JamieNaija:Beautifully said words of wisdom. |
JamieNaij:Yes. Perhaps that Handshake Across The Niger is long overdue . There is no better time. |
