Like you said it's "guesstimate" one which I'm certain is very incorrect.

Omo Oniles are those guys who extort people trying to put up structures or am I wrong?
You are free to do your own calculations and correct my figures.

I grade the land omoniles, the market omoniles, the bus stop and roadside Omo Owo mi da as one SPECIE . Altogether, they represent a degenerate culture of laziness and extortion as their own fundamental right.

Errm... Just a little correction.

I don't think you can elevate the issue of Omo Onile to the same pedestal as power in the North or militancy in the Niger Delta. Like, how many Omo Oniles are there in the first place?
Eehhm, ehhm... Just a little correction my friend.

I can guestimate about about 500,000 in Lagos.

Omo Owo mi da are a much more culturally entrenched, permanent and much more pernicious cancer than Niger Delta militancy.

My rough calculation puts the economic robbery of omonile, agberos , etc at N0.5 trillion per year.

When you get the opportunity to travel to Dubai, you lot go to church to share testimony. Is Dubai a Christian country?

The problem is leadership. The North has the worst possible set of leaders. Their leaders have the gift of ruining any thing they lay their hands on. This is because leaders there are made through quota and not merit.

Can you mention any organisation under Northern leadership which is thriving?
Bingo!

The Northern elites have an antiquated mentality that is based on the feudal past. They see and treat Nigeria as conquered territory, to be continuously subjugated and plundered.
They are very irresponsible with power, otherwise their greed for power and their stranglehold on power should have made the northern region a much more progressive region than the rest of Nigeria.

Look at Gowon, Shagari , IBB, Abacha, Yaradua and now Buhari. Except for the amiable Shagari, we see the same repeating patterns of abuse and irresponsible use of power. They take national power as some kind of family propert and inheritance , and not as a temporary public Trust, as it is supposed to be.

For good example, just look at the last one month of Osinbajo's leadership, his honesty, openness, and then compare with the last 2 yrs Buhari's opaqueness , insensitivity ,aloofness , arrogance and divisiveness. They are like night and day.

The Bible gives an answer to that clearly.

John 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

ALL THINGS (THE UNIVERSE) WERE CREATED BY HIM (GOD).
The very fact that you referred to this God as a " him" ought to pinch you a little that his existence is a contradiction.

First of all, there is no 'him' without a corresponding ' her'.
Anything that doesn't incorporate the feminine quality or attributes cannot create or recreate.

Therefore, a male creator god is already a misnomer and contradiction.

Secondly, who created God, or , from whence comes God ? huh

Your argument is very factual and logical, yet you ignore that culture and friendship demanded that the lawyer support his friend financially for an event that would not be postponed to avoid such conflict.

Except you can prove that no social relationship previously existed between the two?

Except you can prove that N500k was too much a gift between two accomplished mature friends for such a high society wedding?

Except you can prove that Buhari wired same money to the lawyer who then forwarded same to the Judge?
This bullshit, and you know it.
If the judge and defending lawyer had a relationship that transcends professional ethics, then both or either would have rightfully recused themselves from the case.

Is there any culture in the world that doesn't value friendship ?
Are you saying that our culture puts or should put friendship above legal and professional ethics, common decency and the law ? huh

Do you know what the designation ' Senior Advocate Of Nigeria' stands for , and how it is earned ? huh

Just listen to yourself.
Whether N500k or N50, it is still an inappropriate, unethical gift to a judge- the very definition of Bribe.
Now, if Buhari's lawyer says that he bribed a judge without Buhari's consent, then that's another issue we would address when that time comes.
For now, all we know is that Buhari's lawyer bribed a judge, obviously for the benefit of Buhari.

Reno is grasping at straws.

The lawyer has already disclosed his close friendship to the Judge, and has stated he gave a wedding gift to the Judge who happened to be the father of the bride.

N500K sounds about right as a gift for the calibre of people involved in the giving and the receiving.

How this is related to Buhari is what I am yet to understand with the apologists of corruption fighting tooth and nail for survival.

Nothing will stand in the way of the fight to rid Nigeria of corruption.
It is not conceivable that a learned, experienced SAN would be oblivious to the glaring ethical implications of GIFTING a judge presiding over an important case of which is he, the SAN, is the defending counsel.

Even the stupidest, the most ignorant layperson would understand that a Senior Advocate, one who is assumed to know and be the champion of legal ethics, should not under any circumstances, have outside courtroom contacts, talkless of giving a GIFT, even if a Penny, to a judge presiding over a case, a very politically important case of great national significance, of which the Senior lawyer is the defending lawyer.

No layperson could make such a thoughtless, monumental error, talkless of a legal luminary representing a presidential candidate, unless the senior lawyer knew exactly the nature and envisaged reward for the GIFT giving .

The 2 day appreciation had nothing to do with any new policy, because as far as I concerned, there no clear policy.

The Naira simply bucked the trend on its weeklong loosing streak. And this happened because of new dollars, about $280m, injected into banks, BDCs or whatever else they call them. In a few days time, that amount would be quickly mopped up by the demand, and the slide would eventually continue.
The Naira is still far from finding its level against the dollar, especially when the seat of government has now been relocated to London.

Right now, it obvious to the whole world that Buhari is the real enemy of the state.
Being President of Nigeria is not his birthright. It is a sacred trust reposed on him.
When , especially now, that ill health prevents him from carrying out the duty of President and Commander in chief, then it behoves him to respect, reciprocate and return that sacred trust back to the Nigerian people, by simply doing the age old honourable thing of RESIGNING.
This is what HONOUR and PATRIOTISM demands,. immediately.

The nation is currently in a state of economic and political precipice.
There is hunger, tension, anxiety and suspicion everywhere.

BUHARI should let Nigeria move on, or he is himself the real enemy of the Nigerian people.
