darbeelicous: "don't be a slave to drugs, the devil might say if u don't take drugs u will die, die first and let us know!" those were the exact words of my pastor and I'm still confused......... Is it actually wise for a Christian not to take drugs no matter how serious the illness is? . . . . Please bible scholars and religious leaders in the house should help to clarify this, I'm really confuse here. 97℅ of African Pastors are illiterates, and by illiterates, I don't mean not being able to read and write. And this is the part that I find hard to understand about religion; Why seemingly intelligent people follow people with much much lower IQs. |

Look at creation and see the genius behind it, Thats God. God is God, He can decide to fold the earth up and kill all, its His property, only gave humans opportunity to existence. With God all things are possible, if so, then it is possible that all will be happy ay the end irrespective of your religious beliefs. Humans problem is to know all, but see even your father or best friend will never reveal all his secrets. Pls give your self peace Lol. Silly people and their crazy God. |

Or , is herd mentality and blindly following a political Pied Piper like Tinubu a substitute for personal conviction? If you really mean( I know you don't) that the Yorubas voted Buhari, whom they had rejected 4 yrs earlier as Satan, because of conviction that he would clear the so-called mess of GEJ administration, then you are telling us the Yorubas , as sophisticated as they claim to be, were soooo easily brainwashed and DUPED by a self- serving political opportunist. In which case, we can now have nothing but pity for them. And my point is; Stop insulting the Yorubas with this half-baked sense. We know you're paid to write stuff here, but be respectful. |

asuustrike2009: So unfortunate that you draw conclusion that way but you have to understand that ministers of the gospel are stewards and so they render account to their maker when they die.A pastor is a mentor, a teacher and a coach to his flocks .members are to take note of whatever information their pastors dish out especially with biblical backing. Secondly members are suppose to build themselves spiritually not to rely on their pastors all the time for spiritual help but it doesn't stop them from seeing their pastors. Thirdly members need to ask Yahweh for revelation and understanding of his word. Coming to your question about Nigeria Christians, most them rely on their pastors for eventually everything and they believe them why because of their knowledge of God's word and the demonstration of his power through them.To bridge the gap, members shouldn't swallow all that their pastors say instead they should seek God for divine revelation. When I say revelation, I mean physical communication with God( hearing audienbly) or otherwise. If members were into this, a lot of these menace going would have being reduced but you know what ,most of us can't hear, see or feel Yahweh because we live in secret sins.Lastly what's is going presently is the fulfilment of the scriptures of fake Prophets already sent to the world. Also note that just like the way we select our beans and removes dirt from the beans so is Yahweh doing likewise to mankind. If you decide not to attend church or fellowship because of what you're seeing, you're on your own because you would give account to him. If you continue to condemn ministers of the gospel because of their attitude and behavior, you're own your own because you weren't called but they so leave Yahweh to deal with them.don't let the scenario of Moses and Aaron including Miriam occur in your life because the accuser of the brethren is always finding faults. If you're not comfortable with any minister, kindly leave that gathering and seek elsewhere since we now have many churches now.least I forget, there's nothing wrong calling your pastor papa or his wife mama .it only shows that your cherish and love them. Even. Jesu's discipline called him master not to talk of the prophets of old. If they insist you call them by that title, there's nothing wrong in showing humility as God resist the proud.Humility alone attracts many blessings. It can be used positively and negatively so the choice is yours. Correction. A pastor is a yahoo boy with a Bible. Everything he says or does is carefully crafted to make ignorant sheep part with their money. Simple. What actually qualifies a person to be pastor ? Any lazy, greedy , avaricious bum can grab a Bible or even attend the so-called Bible school, and then declare himself pastor, bishop, prophet, etc. With god all scams are possible, and have been possible from the beginning of time. |

In trying to drive his point, he narrated the story of some his old friends who he met during the Christmas period last year.
These set of friends, were living large ‘living the good life’. In a bid to find out what they do for a living, to see if he could also be part of the huzzle, he hooked up with one of the guys, who then told him that the guys, are into yahoo plus plus.
Their method of money as narrated by him, did not involve the use of laptop, or any form of fraud. Their method of making money, involved sleeping with girls and taking their star and fortune.

Fighting corruption with lopsidedness and selectiveness is nothing but waste of time. It's even more dangerous than financial corruption.
Any leader that engages in selective justice would never, I repeat, would never succeed. You're giving too much credit to them by suggesting that they are fighting corruption. How can a corrupt person like Buhari fight corruption? Does he understand what corruption is ? What about his dirty , corrupt deals at the defunct PTF ? PTF was a cesspool of unbridled corruption. What about his self-admitted NEPOTISM ? Isn't NEPOTISM the mother of corruption ? And just like we predicted, aren't members of his inner cabinet corrupt ? Can we ever know the level of corruption and sleeze currently going in on in ASO Rock this very moment ? |

PassingShot: Without good external reserves, there is very little that can be done.
The Otuoke Drunk met the ER at $47bn + $20bn in ECA, yet he managed to steal and loot both to an abysmal level of $25bn combined, despite earning additional billion of dollars. Pathetic excuses. So you're agreeing that nothing good can ever come out of this Jurassic administration ? Bingo!! So this administration is doomed to failure because Buhari inherited $17b less in external reserves than the previous administration ? But what about OBJ that inherited $3b in reserves and $38b in debt ? It's obvious to everyone now that the difference is a simple matter of having brains and not having one, being SINCERELY committed to Nigeria and being a lifelong hypocrite, religious and tribal bigot. Buhari first committed treason in 1983 simply because , just like today, he had nothing to offer Nigeria. He simply felt a birthright to power. We very stuuupid to have let a man with a history of catastrophic failures, an unrepentant tribalist with no vision, and a very very narrow view of society, nationhood and governance run the affairs of this potentially prosperous Nation. One particular character trait that stands conspicuously among Failures is that they NEVER take responsibility. They blame everything and everyone for their failures. These is trait that when we see them in our growing children, we spank it out if them as soon as possible. On note, Buhari's illness has given him a once in a lifetime opportunity to EARN Honour by resigning on the grounds of bad health. This is the last and enduring honour that Buhari has the opportunity to grab. This is the moment of truth. BUHARI, a man of honour who puts his country first , or a power hungry despotic that is willing to drag his nation of 180m to the grass, the mud and to his grave ? That's the question. |

Religion is not a cure. It is just the opium to ease the pain If Religion was just a mild palliative, restricted to just making people feel better, the world might have been a better place. From a mild palliative to cope with the vissitudes of life and the unknown, Religion quickly escalates to a mild , and then dangerous neurotoxin that divides and destroys. |

LordReed: What about instincts? Self preservation, maternal instincts, etc. Would these not be the foundations of morality outside of religion or law? Instincts, of course, are primordial genetic traits. There is no right or wrong in instinctive impulses. In fact, instinctive impulses are the opposite of morality. Morality evolves to checkmate instinctive impulses . |
