Try the Uk, ogbono in the Uk sells for N3,000= a cup. Do you spend Naira to buy ogbono in the UK? We are talking about high food prices in Nigeria this one is converting pounds sterling to Naira. How many Britons eat ogbono, are people living in the UK complaining about not being able to feed. What is an imported delicacy in the UK got to do with topic of high food prices in Nigeria. |

How about a neutral ground, with your so-called unarmed soldier in mufti, and NOT inclined to calling his fellow khaki wearing cowards for backup to rescue him when his nose is bloodied by a "bloody" civilian?
I remember with much glee how someone I know beat up one of you useless military officers mercilessly somewhere in Abuja a few years ago. The cowardly lieutenant was reaching for his phone like an asthmatic little girl reaches for her inhaler when in crisis..... Trying to call for backup from the barracks against a single unarmed civilian using only his fists... My ghetto lawyer friend punched the phone off the lieutenant's cowardly hands and pushed the biitch into a nearby gutter before making his exit....
Because your emir or senator helped you get enlisted in the armed forces via nepotism and corruption, you think you are Batman. What a worthless pig.
I can't tell you how much I despise you bastards. I despise those bastards too, Nigerians have given those bloody cowards too much respect. Bunch of fvcking ass.wipes. |

TellingItAsItIs: I really hate seeing people justifying the oppressive actions of some Nigerian military personnel on innocent civilians on the "hard training" they received. US soldiers nd some other soldiers undergo even harder training but its always put to good use and you never see them oppressing civilians.why is Nigeria's case different call a spade a spade. Because US soldiers cannot oppress civilians even if they want too. There is 300 million guns in American civilians hand, any US soldier that tries to be oppressive like a Nigerian soldier will be a KIA. |

londoner: I think you have missed what the OP is saying. It is not the beans or eating of moi moi it is the act of reheating plastics from which we eat moi moi and sometimes cook it.
The food industry even in the West does not care about health they only care about keeping costs low and maximising profit.
Many plastics have been linked to cancers and other illnesses. Just because you are not struck down the moment you eat from a heated container does not mean you health will not be affected long term.
It's the same thing my aunt said when my mum tried to tell her not to use asbestos in building her house. She physically felt fine but now she is no longer with us as she developed a massive tumour.
There are lots of things that are quicker 'easier' in our modern lives that are actually making us sick.....slowly. I perfectly overstand what the OP is saying, my point is even if you don't eat moi moi prepared in plastic there are still a million and one other things or food that allegedly causes cancer. Even your cell phone can cause cancer, other household products like television and computers allegedly emit cancer causing radiation. So basically life itself is a risk and you cannot run from death forever only God grants long life and good health. |

If you go by the amount of foods that medical experts said not to eat because of the risk of one disease or another you will be eating green leafs like a goat for the rest of your life.
Meat because of cancer, rice because of diabetes, eggs high cholesterol, fish is contaminated with mercury, poultry because of high blood pressure and on and on it goes.
As long as you eat everything in moderation and live a physically active life, you should be ok. |
