davidylan: What then is the purpose of the chief seats if we are all equal?

I think I have listened to Jim Staley sermon on this seat issue. He said the seats are used when one is to read the Torah, thats why everything the priest says when in that seat should be obeyed because at the moment, the words he brings forth are not his but from God. I have to search for this video and post it if possible.

Thats why Jesus told His disciple this: matt 23:3

We have all kind of people with different culture/tradition in our church, But everyone can not bring his/her tradition and impose it on others.

If God can call Holidays/rest day He commanded His own people a "evil assemblies," and says that they are a "burden" to Him, and He is weary of bearing them.

Be it gay, thief or killer/murderer, If the person give up His old past, He or she will find shelter, you can't find shelter in Christ with dirty body,(old body).
Because the Bible told us that our Body is Gods temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 So, if our body is dirty, God's spirit cannot dwell in it.

That was why Jesus told the woman accused of adultery to go and sin no more:She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

And mind you a woman cannot commit adultery by herself. If you understand the aim of the Pharisees, you will ask yourself why was the man not accused too...
Jesus knew their plans, so He did handled the matter with wisdom.

Well to say the least on the woman's case,let's say I don't go to church nor any member of ma family.If one of us die,we just ask the near by church to do the burial ceremony for us but I have only seen it with zion church,catholics,anglican and dutch reformed churches...sorry for name callings its like that in ma country BUT I have neva seen a born again christian church agreeing to such

Ah ok, These churches accept burial in such manner not minding if the deceased was a believer or not. This is strange!

I saw a passage in the OT, it made me believe that the cremation method will not please God.This passgae made it plain that God intended for dead bodies to be buried.
I think the cremation of the bodies of the dead is contradictory to that which was established in the Church from the very beginning.

The burial of the dead should be based on Scripture, due to the belief that the death of a man is a fulfillment of the judgment passed by God onto (Adam):

Yes no salvation after death so why should the church bury an athiest body? The wife is not even a memeber of that church, she is not a serious believer

braine: The ancient Babylonians did cremate their dead - mostly those who died in prison. I don't remember that part of the bible though.

I withnessed a friend Husband burial, The man was an athiest, He was sick for many years before He finally gave up.
When He died, His family and wife took His body to the Cathedral for prayers before cremation.
The dead man gave the instruction that His body should be burned.

My surprise is, i didn't know the Church does accept praying for dead atheists, and even doing the cremation too.
