XaintJoel20: On my way to work this morning, I boarded a vehicle, after some minutes drive, we got to a police check point and our driver was flagged down and told to park. A police man came closer to our vehicle, looked at everyone and told the guy sitting in front to get down, even before he came down, the policeman popularly called "Ebo" but has the name Nelson written on his uniform was already throwing questions at him. " Wetin dey inside that bag wey you carry"? Etc. He was ushered to a commercial bus park close by and our driver parked well and waited for him, after waiting for a while, he approached them and came back soon after and concluded that he can't wait any longer. That was how we left that young man with the police to continue our journey.
Now the question is this, why was he singled out for interrogation among all the guys inside the minibus? ( We were three passengers inside the bus and all guys). His appearance and dress sense was the reason if my gut serves me right. He was clouded in tattoos, unkept hair and tattered clothes. No doubt, Nigeria doesn't have a dress code, but I always advice young men not to do things or appear in a manner that will make them easy target for rouges who are dressed in military and paramilitary uniforms. Let's be guided....
So he’s automatically a criminal/fraudster because he dressed a certain way?
Mmadu2: A full grown man and a high profile celebrity posing naked and happily looking like an tout. These people have destroyed the image of the black man in America.
They openely promote drugs, violence, sex, wild lifestyle and wild parties. They transfer same ugly lifestyle to the younger generation that are supposed to be responsible.
This is not what Martin Luther & others fought and died for. And when they're targeted by the whites they complain
What are you even saying? You think the whites don't do drugs ? How dare you even judge the man based on his looks alone? Do you know him story? As BLACKS we need to stop trying to bring each other down. It's WRONG.
With all due respect. You are an hypocrite. Where were you when Boko haram abducted and converted over 100 students of chibuc secondary school into Muslims?
I wanted to start up a POS business with my savings of N65k, but the POS man that i consulted to assist me said i would need at least N150k to start up a POS business.
I've really been hustling everyday, doing hard works (especially on bulding sites), taking pain killer drugs on daily basis..
I don't think it will be easy for me to raised my savings up to that amount 'N150k' with the type of work that i do..
I wanted to travel to the city with my ND (National Diploma) result, so i can use it to look for work, I posted it here on nairaland, but 80% of the advice i got from this forum said it will be hard to see a paying job with ND result, while some said it is not even possible. So i couldn't travel again..
Now that my savings isn't enough to start up a POS business, i'm thinking of starting up a standard akara and akamu business and probably extend the business along the run..
As someone known by his people to have went to school, is the business worth the shame?
So what you are worried about is Shame? You are not even worried about Poverty? Shame will not feed or clothe you sir.

It was on my 19th birthday. I've already started making some cool cash online then. Decided to celebrate it with my roommates.
But, the devil that day decided to talk to my roommate to tell me about trans amusement park near UI in ibadan here. So, we wanted to call Uber, since na night and after three drivers failed to come pick us up, we decided to carry okada. Mehnnn
It started raining when we came out of the house. Well, we don plan am so no wam, we go brave the rain.
Na so we sight one aboki. Flagged him down. It was around nine in the night and we were three so we all decided to hop on the same bike.
Mind you, I was already higher than Jehova, like Popcaan says. Was high on various grades of mariwawi. I was in a state of euphoria at the moment, coupled with the fact that, I'm celebrating my birthday for the first time.
Anyway, as we passed ojoo police station side, the road became free, we were virtually the only one on the road. So, the aboki decided to play rush hour with our lives. All I know was the bike was gaining speed. I was at the back, the breeze was coming fast onto my face. Was so fuvcking high, I was enjoying it.
All of a sudden, na so one coaster bus, stood at an intersection, wanting to move to the other side.
The bike man was also racing towards it, tried to hold the brake, the brake didn't work.
The road was slippery, the bike was just sliding at 60mph towards the stationary coaster bus. Na so my roommate wey dey front grabbed the okada steering from the bike man and was dragging the two brakes simultaneously.
Next thing I heard was gboaaah. We fell down and was sliding towards the busy intersection, there was like five cars there. Then we hit the coaster bus on the side, the bike man fainted, we all fell on the streets, my eye cleared straight! I wanted to stand up, so that I don't get crushed by other cars, I couldn't, my legs weren't working. Abobi, I don dey panic. As I was dragging myself on the road to the curb, some passersby came to help us. Dragged me onto the curb. I wasn't even looking at my other roommates wether they've died or not. My concern was about my leg and why it's not working.
As I was recuperating and seeing that I didn't have any major bruises and my legs didn't break or anything, I told God that if I can walk again, I'll quit drinking and smoking.
My other roommates, came to meet me where I was. Apparently, they weren't hurt. The bike man has also been resuscitated.
Roommate now said, let's continue to the amusement park, I told him that I couldn't walk. He said it's a minor issue that since my legs aren't broken, that I should try and walk it off. I stood up with their help and decided to go home to nurse my wounds. The niggas just flagged a car down and told the driver to proceed to the amusement park. I wan cry.
Afterwards, when we got to the park, my legs was already gaining traction back, even though I was still hurting.
I still downed a bottle of lords gin and some Henny that night. Even topped it with amusement park kush. My hands were shaking as I was holding the cup and smoking. Was shaking like an old man.
Then, Called one of our guys to come pick us up. Told him that I was involved in an accident that I couldn't walk.
When we entered his car, he said; na you bastards wey get accident dey reek of alcohol like this? I said; let's thank God for life bruh.
Could've landed in the hospital or worse that night. Now, I have phobia of driving on express ways or sending someone on an errand and the person wants to use okada.
Hope you have stayed away from those so called 'Friends'. Of yours?

Tragic news from a popular hotel & resort in Jalingo, Taraba state called Suites11 hotel as a 26-year-old lady identified as Clara Jacob drown in the swimming pool on saturday, October 30, Siggy reports.
An eyewitness reported that Clara and her friends were swimming at the hotel swimming pool on Saturday, October 30, when they noticed she was missing.
"We were at the pool this evening swimming when we noticed that she was struggling in the deep end of the pool. We immediately called the pool manager that someone was drowning but he said he does not know how to swim. We were just there trying frantically to get someone who could help to no avail. She was in the water for over thirty minutes before her lifeless body was eventually dragged out," the witness narrated.
The elder brother to the late Clara, Mr Jacob Joseph, who confirmed the sad incident said that the body has been taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo to be deposited at the morgue.
The terribly shaken Joseph said he was surprised that a hotel maintains a swimming pool with a pool manager that cannot swim, who watched as a young woman died helplessly.
The lady has been identified to be a taraba state polytechnic final year student from the department of Computer sciences.
BANDITS HAVE EFFECTIVELY SURROUNDED ABUJA FROM THE 4 CORNERS
*There is the URGENT need for a FORENSIC AUDIT of all RUGAS in and around Abuja FCT to smoke out the criminal bandits and confiscate the thousands of AK-47 hidden in these RUGAS•
Abuja has now been effectively sandwiched by bandits operating in the 4 states around the federal capital territory (FCT) - Niger state to the West, Kogi to the South, Kaduna to the North and Nassarawa to the East. There is very little doubt that the next theatre of attack and main target is Abuja FCT. The bandits are now well domesticated around Abuja FCT through illegal Rugas and settlements deep in the forests close to the federal capital territory (FCT) As a matter of fact, quite a few of the rugas around Kuje, Lugbe and close to the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport are allegedly being used by bandits to store weapons. No one can really fault the assertion that Abuja FCT has now been surrounded by Fulani bandits from the 4 angles through the border states of Nassarawa, Kaduna, Niger and Kogi. These criminal bandits hide guns, ammunition and other dangerous weapons in Ruga settlements around Abuja which they use for their kidnapping activities. The urgent need arises for the military, DSS and the police to conduct a thorough forensic audit of ALL Fulani Rugas around Abuja to smoke out these criminals and confiscate the large number of AK-47 and other weapons they hid in these Ruga make-shift, shanty, thatched-roof huts. It is estimated that there are hundreds of AK-47 guns hidden in the Ruga shanty settlements around Abuja FCT. Because of the relatively tighter security in the FCT, the bandits don’t move openly with guns as they do in Zamfara and other states. Also, the bandits don’t settle within the FCT because the likelihood of them being caught is very high. The option for them is to use existing Rugas in and around Abuja FCT as a camouflage. The bandits’ modus operandi is to pick up an AK-47 from the Ruga, sneak into Abuja or it’s environs particularly Jabi airport road, Kuje, kubwa, Gwagwalada, Zuba/Suleja, Kwaita/Kwali, Bwari, Tungan Maje and kidnap innocent victims, then run back and keep the victims in the mountains and forests around the FCT. Hardly do these criminals keep captives in Rugas. They keep guns in Rugas but keep captives in the forests around the FCT.
A highly vulnerable part of Abuja is Gwarinpa with its mix of a cosmopolitan and semi-urban nature. Gwarinpa is sandwiched between the FCT and Kubwa/Dei Dei/Zuba axis to the west which makes it a perfect beehive for bandits to settle in and aim attacks at Abuja FCT. The push by our gallant military against the bandits from Zamfara has forced the bandits on a free flow all over Nigeria. Part of the options for the bandits while moving out of Zamfara is Abuja which these criminals regards as ‘the final destination. Although, for a very long time, even before the Zamfara military onslaught, the bandits have been strategising for Abuja -and the reason for this cannot be far-fetched. The bandits feel there is enough money in Abuja for them to pursue.
These bandits have actually established a solid presence around Abuja for a very long time in the forests and in most of the Rugas around some parts of the FCT. It is fair to say that the military onslaught against these bandits particularly in Zamfara state has pushed them to pour enmasse into Abuja and the surrounding states of Nassarawa, Kogi and parts of Kaduna. Niger state has been a hot bed of banditry for many years as the criminals connect into Niger state through the dreaded kamuku/Kuyambana forest in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state. This notorious forest serves as a feeder-route into Niger, Kogi and other surrounding states as it receives a supply of criminals from Zamfara, Katsina states and the Niger republic. A major source of worry is the ongoing alliance of convenience between the bandits and Boko haram. There is no doubting the fact that Boko haram has established bases around the fringes of Abuja and any alliance between Boko haram and Fulani bandits (and possibly Ansaru) could potentially make Abuja inhabitable and by extension, render Nigeria either fairly governable or extremely intractable. In nearby Niger state, Boko haram is currently in control of 8 wards out of a total of 25 wards (1/3) of Shiroro local government area, as confirmed by the Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello. The scenario looks even more disturbing when juxtaposed with the fact that Shiroro local government area shares borders with Abuja FCT and is just 140 km away. A lot of the criminals that are holding Shiroro local government area hostage are actually Boko haram not Fulani bandits. To prove it is in charge, Boko haram recently announced that it had introduced a policy in all communities under its control in Niger state which requires 12 year old girls to get married.
It is also a fact that the notorious bandit leader Dogo Gide is operating on the fringes of the Kuyambana forest in Birnin Gwari which shares border with Niger state. Boko haram operating in Shiroro and the Fulani bandits operating on the fringes of Kuyambana forest brings the two criminal gangs closer to a full blown operational joint venture. Also recall that bandit Dogo Gide has pretentiously embraced a religious ideology as he is heard calling himself ‘Abu-Abdullah: the Arabic translation for ‘father of Abdullah’
The operational closeness of Boko haram and Fulani bandits is not only in Niger state but Nassarawa as well. The Nassarawa state Governor Abdullahi Sule has in January 2021 confirmed that Boko haram are now domiciled on the border between Nassarawa and Abuja FCT. Those elements of Boko haram who didn’t surrender to ISWAP are being pushed out of the North East and the most likely location for them to run to will be the North West/North Central axis which is also gradually turning into another Afghanistan.
Apart from Boko haram, there is also the dreaded Darussalam sect and Ansaru all in Nassarawa state. Ansaru operates between Nassarawa and Kogi states. In a video that went viral early this year, an arrested Fulani kidnapper operating on the border between Nassarawa and Kogi states, confessed that his gang’s operational base shares a border with Boko haram. The notorious kidnapper in the video under reference also admitted that his gang has a joint venture with Boko haram for a mutual exchange of captives at a price. He further stated that whenever a ransom negotiation fails with the bandits, they sell the captives to Boko haram where they (the captives) are thought to be at the ‘point of no return’ By and large, the security agencies cannot afford to allow the deteriorating security situation in and around the FCT to degenerate. Our gallant military, the police and other security agencies are doing a lot to stop the march of the bandits into Abuja FCT but more needs to be done. Albeit the military has last week, debunked the claim that bandits have effectively surrounded Abuja FCT, the issue is more about being proactive rather than in a state of denial. https://trendsdynamics..com/2021/10/nigeria-bandits-have-effectively.html?m=1
Instead of investigating. They will arrest this one with trumpt up charges.

A lady really annoyed me this morning. I had gone to the park to board a taxi back home. The guy who was loading for the driver directed me to the taxi that was loading. An elderly guy sat at the front seat while a lady was seated by the door and she was the only one sitting at the back. Note that the drivers take three passengers at the back. Immediately I saw how the lady sat at the door- her body language- I decided to enter from the other side but another passenger beat me to it plus I was approaching the taxi from her side to I just decided to enter through there. The lady rather than shift to the middle came out for me to enter without any form of excuse which I found annoying. I made my displeasure know to her but she just kept mute as if no be human being dey follow talk. I still repeated myself.this lady just start blowing out like burning charcoal, shouting at the top of her voice that "do I think she is a baby for me to treat her like that".
To make matters worse, the passengers and driver were telling me to not retaliate because na women. Na so we go continue to dey tolerate nonsense. Even na guy, I go still tell am wetin he do no correct.
So.....both of una de claim space inside public transport? Why didn't you just leave the whole car for her completely and board another one?
I am watching a series and in one of the episodes a couple goes to see a marriage counselor. She tells them that marriage is not about unconditional love but an agreement to show up the best we can. It is meant to challenge each spouse to bring out the best in them.
How useful is this kind of advice?
Unconditional Love is the highest form of love you can ever give anyone. Your Flaws, Financial or physical attributes won't even matter to the person.
Looks like you're a new Nairaland member. We hate girls here and it's our responsibility to insult them and make them know that they are useless and evil.
Does that include your Sisters and Mother? Just asking a question.
Crowwe: I've bleeped women of over 23 races and countries but Nigerian girls are the worst. They don't shave and they sweat too much as soon as my dick cap falls on their clit and I don't like it.
I'm already proposing the idea of creation of zoo were we can display Nigerian girls pussy so the ugly things can start generating massive income for the country, I hope the government approves it.
Are you Stupid or just plain Dumb? Who approved this anyways? You can't just come on the Internet and speak badly about WOMEN. It's Wrong.
So it's difficult for you to read because it concerned the Yoruba Afonjas right? But you can read from morning till night if the topic mentioned IPOB AND ESN, see uncle Wakili Isikilu in the middle of this picture
Warrior14: I will be getting married in 3 weeks time but I'm not happy I'm getting married to a man who has beaten me two different times. I'm getting married to a man who is heartless and doesn't know how to love and treat a woman right. I'm getting married to a man who does not have a mind of his own.
I'm getting married but I'm already thinking of divorce.
Listen to your heart. Family and friends don't need to understand your reason ma. Your Happiness and Peaceattets too.
I'm overwhelmed! I'm physically strong but I'm weak. Just don't want to wake up from my sleep so I won't have to continue with this marriage plans as I can't stand the shame of calling off the marriage at this time.
22o62021: We bonded so well together, she is an NYSC member. She told me that she has a boyfriend but she has called off their relationship because the guy has beaten her twice. The first time , the guy did it in front of his mother to the extent that she lost a tooth. And spent days in the hospital
The second time the guy slapped her because she told him that he comes home late. She said the guy is a serial cheat, she has caught him on different occasions.
They dated for 6 years. But the guy will not accept the break up. Their families knows each other.
I have her the love she deserved, pampered her so well. I told her that I know she will go back to the guy one day, she said nooo I can’t do that.
One week after I said that to her. The guy was calling and pleading. She stopped picking my calls. I stopped calling her.
I sent her a text to know what is going on. She said it’s not what I think.
I said fine. I deleted her numbers and move on.
This is to say that most girls are confused. I think they prefer abusive men but on the internet They rebuke them.
She definitely grew up in an abusive home. I hope she comes to her senses before it's too late.

The founding National Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Rufai Hanga, has disclosed that there was an agreement that President Muhammadu Buhari would hand over power to Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023.
Hanga disclosed that the implied agreement of Buhari to hand over to Tinubu was an “open secret.”
He said Tinubu would have dumped APC after Buhari’s first tenure but opted to remain with the party due to the “implied agreement.”
