kingthreat: There is this comedian called "OGB Recent. He makes skits claiming to be a cultist. He uses cultism lingua and he plays the role of a bully. His skits are dry, lacks total substance. Worse thing is that this guy doing skits claiming cultist is indirectly promoting cultism and making it seem like a joke. Thousands of our youths are dying over cultism. There is no week that passes by where there is no cultist killing in Nigeria. And here we are allowing a dry comedian make foolish content on cultism.
We have influencers promoting gay and expect our youths not to be gay? Now there is one whose content is only cultism and you expect some youths to not subsconsciously accept cultism? After when cultists kill, we will blame government. Something needs to be done about that guy. My 2 cents.
Na only cultist go disagreeing with this your post.
Aconcagua: Hello esteemed Nairalanders in the property and other sections:
Please I need your informed suggestions on the best areas within Lagos where I can currently get a half plot of land for 15 - 25million Naira. I am particularly looking at areas with the following features:
- Great Security (very low armed robbery incidence rates, low concentration of louts) - Decent phcn power (at least 10 - 15hours daily) - Nearness to social facilities like shopping malls, supermarkets, nice relaxation spots etc - Non-swampy or prone to flooding
The areas I'm considering that fit the above requirements are Ogudu, Ogba, Isheri-Olowora axis, Ikate, Argungi or any area on the island not beyond Chevron.
Please advise whether and where I can get a half plot of land within the stated budget in these areas or any other area in Lagos that you know is also suitable. Note that Ibafo-Mowe (distance), OPIC estate (flooding), Ikorodu, Iyana-Ipaja/Egbeda/Alimosho (distance), Lagos Island (louts), Ajah (poor security and distance), Agege/Iju/Agbado/Abule-egba axis (poor roads and louts) are out of my consideration due to the various factors already highlighted.
Appreciate your responses!
Pls help a brother's 2022 housing ministry and move to the promised land
Come to Ibadan. That money is enough to buy land and build house sef. Change go remain.
yinkaOdutuyo: So the main issue that led to me denying her food this night.
I asked her for the two of us to go and get ingredients for food, she said she's having serious headache so I went alone.
When I came back I washed the rice and put it on fire and I also start grinding the pepper and tomatoes with manual grinder.
After few minutes when the rice was done I asked my wife to go and put down the rice from fire, and fried the stew afterwards.
She just started shouting she's so tired, her head is hot and making hefty sounds inside that she can't stand up from this bed.
I insisted and she went to put the rice down and off the gas, instead of her to start frying the stew. She just came and meet me on the bed.
And she started shouting I didn't tell you am hungry, am not even eating this night at all. Do whatever you want to do, I'll never stand up to make any stew in this house. If you want to eat go and make the stew yourself.
I just stood up and enter the kitchen to make the stew. As I was making the stew, my wife that said she's not feeling fine was busy watching film om her phone. She complained earlier that her head is hefty and aching her that she can't stand up from the bed, but she stood up and start looking for the BT Audio to connect to her phone so that she'll be able to hear the film audio very well.
Immediately I finished making thr stew, I served the food on the table and the next my wife wanted to stood up from the bed to join on the table so that we can eat.
I just told her that You can never eat from this food this night and tomorrow morning, because you were the one that said you were not hungry that I was troubling you to make food.
I also told her that the headache allow you br watching films and also allow you to be looking for BT Audio. But denied you to cook for me.
So house I want to know if this is right or wrong pls or what can I do.
To all moniker saying have I ever helped her before this is for you below:
BTW I have cooked many times in the house, there are times she'll go to work before she comes back I'll have prepare good foods, that will atimes takes me 2 or more hours to prepare and she'll come back and eat and smile and say thank you. I use to get home between 5pm and 6pm latest, while she'll be coming home by 7pm, 8pm or latter.
At times the two of us may be at home and I'll be the only one cooking, while she'll just lie down watching films or doing another thing while I do the while cooking.
I think I have being helpful to her in cooking and other chores in the house. There are many times I'll be the one washing all the clothes in the house, while she's sleeping or doing something else.
I literally do almost 80% of everything in the house if not more than.
But me doing all those doesn't mean am a fool or I don't know what am doing.
Bit I think as a man you have to man up.
Why are you asking complete questions on how to run your HOME? No matter what she does NEVER starve your WIFE sir. Find a way to apologize to her.

Nksleek: A cross section of Nigerians are calling for the arrest and prosecution of four young men captured in a trending video on rituals.
This is as Nigerians grapple with the effects of escalated incidents of ritual killings across the country, Focus Naija can report.
According to the visuals, the young men said that the sure way to make success is to engage in ritual. That it is better to use girlfriend or outsiders than to use biological mothers and sisters.
They also stated that all ritualists do not necessarily end up mad especially those that patronize their sure plugs.
In reactions, concerned Nigerians wrote;
Igbuku Mamus: “Just imagine the audacity...the rubbish coming out From their mouth....these boys are ritualist they should be arrested immediately.”
Gizzo Clothings: “All these ones days are numbered...their arrest don dey near”
Imasuen Odion: “Fetch these f**ls and have them Arrested to serve as deterrent to nuisance like them. Very stupid f**ls. Trend it Wong Box so the authorities will be aware
Adebanjo Saheed Adeniyi: “These guys needed to be tracked down and interrogated...They are definitely a Ritualists”
Holy Walter: “This boys are pure ritualist bro, watin our police dey do to track down this people...”

Zikok0mag: Nollywood has given us a lot of iconic pairings over the years, but some actors do their job so well on screen, we find it hard to separate play play from real life. Have you ever looked at a Nollywood pairing and felt deep down that they were an actual couple? We’ve been there too. Here’s a list of some old Nollywood couples that were so good, we thought they were married or dating in real life.
Stella Damasus and Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD)
These two were always married or about to be married in all their films. Look at the material: In When God Says Yes, they were a couple looking for a kidney for RMD; In Engagement Night, she slept with his best friend but they still somehow found their way back to each other; and let’s not forget the wild ass To Rise Again where RMD was Stella Damasus’ ghost baby daddy. It’s not our fault we thought they were together.
Rita Dominic and Jim Iyke
Rumour has it that these two were a thing at one point, but are we really surprised? With her big ass afros and his VPN-acquired Ameritish accent, Jim Iyke and Rita Dominic were the OG Bonnie and Clyde of old Nollywood. One minute they’re sipping cold juice by the beach, and the next thing you know, they’re arguing, with Rita in her thigh-high boots and Jim in his bandanas. We stan a chaotic couple.
Genevieve Nnaji and Ramsey Noah
First off, can we get into Genevieve’s tiara in this picture? Yes, sis, Disney princesses are shaking. Ramsey Noah and Genevieve were the couple to beat back in the day. They’ve dated and married each other onscreen so many times we’ve lost count. Power of Love, Butterfly, Honey, The Break-Up, Pain and Gain, Super Love or the one where she was a village Cinderella and he was the crown prince. These two had so much chemistry together, we were rooting for them to become a thing.
Ini Edo and Muna Obiekwe
Before Muna Obiekwe made the controversial Men in Love, he was one of Nollywood’s most-in-demand lover boys. While he shared the screen and his fictional heart with everyone from Genevieve Nnaji to Oge Okoye, it was his films with Ini Edo that had us screaming “God, when abeg?”. Once you saw Ini Edo in a campus setting with spaghetti straps and excess lipgloss, you immediately knew that Muna Obiekwe would pop up at some point. He fought Jim Iyke for her heart in The Cat and went against Stephanie Okereke and her cult group in Beautiful Faces. Can your man fight?
Genevieve and Emeka Ike
Back then, if Genevieve was not acting opposite Ramsey Noah, best believe she was serving melanated couple goals alongside Emeka Ike. He was her knight in shining armour in For Better for Worse and Pain and Gain, showed her pepper in Not Man Enough and let’s not forget when he blinded and married her in Two Together. Through all of this, they made us root for them and honestly, we’re still shocked they weren’t a thing. Na wa o.
Van Vicker and Nadia Buari
This is not the time for jollof or Shatta Wale wars, we all know that once upon a time, Nollywood and Ghollywood were one wood. Following the success of Beyonncé the President’s Daughter, Nadia and Van became the biggest Ghanaian exports to Nigeria. They were so big, Nollywood had them shooting village movies in the East. Why did these two work so well together? Well, we all thought they were dating. Look at the image above and tell us you didn’t see it back then.
Stella Damasus and Desmond Elliot
They didn’t do much together, but these two were iconic AF. Just look at the poster for Missing Angel, the film where he was the angel of death sent to collect her soul, but somehow ended up getting trapped by her snail. Interesting times. There was also Behind Closed Doors and a couple of others. Long story short, we thought they were a thing at some point but apparently, we were clowns.
3exe3: There has been a wave of banning university students from driving cars into campus, the reason for this though has not been known. But whatever the reason might be i think the universities are not making the right decision. They(universities) can take advantage of the rise in students car by generating revenue from it.
I came up with the opinion that those universities or poly or colleges who have extra space can use that space as a parking lot for students and create daily taxation for any student who wishes to park his car in school premises.
Such students must park their cars on the designated space for a parking lot until they are done with whatever business they have on campus, if it turns out there is not enough space to contain the cars anymore the best option i think is to increase the tax thereby discouraging some students but not all students.
what do you think?
They will start forming cult. Beef go start from there.
hotplay: Good day Nairalanders, I need your advice. I had an encounter with a police officer yesterday along Ibadan-Abeokuta road. I will keep it brief and concise.
I boarded a bus from Ibadan to Abeokuta yesterday afternoon. Somewhere around Odeda, our bus was stopped at a police check point. I was apprehended by the officer who asked me to unlock my phone for him. I did as instructed and next he called me a cyber criminal without any evidence to proof. He immediately demanded I paid him 500k or I will be arrested and detained. I told him I can give him only 5k because I had a very important thing to do and I wouldn't want him to waste any of my precious time. The officer agreed and eventually I gave him cash of 3k because he didn't accept transfer for obvious reasons.
Before he searched my phone, he seized my bag and a nylon containing my shoes and my iPhone usb cord.
I unfortunately missed my bus because of delay, so I needed to board another bus immediately, so the officer helped me to stop a bus. He then handed me my bag and nylon. I was so pissed off and tried to cool off my head with a short nap. On getting to Abeokuta, I checked if the contents of my bag and nylon was intact but to my greatest surprise, I found a big android phone belonging to the police officer inside the nylon instead of my shoe and usb. He had unfortunately giving me a wrong nylon containing his own phone.
I have the phone with me now and I'm sincerely not willing to give it back. He has been calling and I don't know if I should change my mind.
What should I do guys? I'm confused.

mancoconut: How Fulani herders killed my brother, burnt my house during late night attack – Ogun chief
The Otun Baale of Ita Olori Ejo, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State, Chief Elegbede Matthew, tells DAUD OLATUNJI about the recent night attack on the community by suspected armed Fulani herders who set houses ablaze and killed
What led to the recent attack on your community by armed Fulani herders?
That day was a Thursday. We were on our way to the farm when we saw a Fulani man, well known in the area as Alhaji, running. He told us there was a fight at Iyana Agbede, Ijaale, Isiabo. He said some of his cows and those of his people had been killed and they were trying to escape with the remaining cows.
He had barely finished speaking with us, when some boys, whose tribe we could not tell and were dressed like vigilantes with red head ties, appeared and passed by us. Shortly after, we began to hear gunshots in the distance. We would later learn that one Fulani had been killed. So, I was called by the Baale to meet with the police so as to know who was killed.
We have been witnessing such clashes between farmers and herders for a long time. It is something that happens every year; we witnessed one last year with many people killed. It happens all the time and it is barbaric.
Your younger brother was reportedly killed during the last incident. How did it happen?
When the clash started, farmers in the village had to run away from the village. I sent my wives and children to my house in Ilara. Likewise, my younger brother, Olabisi Elegbede, also asked a motorcyclist to take his wife and children to another town. He had an agreement with the motorcyclist to come back and pick him afterwards. I was also waiting for the motorcyclist to take me to join my family. We had envisaged that the Fulani men would come back to attack the village. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist didn’t come back to pick us, so we decided to sleep in my house, hoping that we would leave the village early in the morning of the following day.
But true to our fear, these Fulani men came late in the night, armed with AK-47 rifles and other weapons. Around 10.30pm, we heard sounds of gunshots and people speaking a strange language we could not understand. They came straight to my house but before they got to where I was sleeping, I managed to escape through the back door of the room and ran into a nearby bush to hide. I saw them setting houses in the village on fire and attacking anyone on sight.
Where was your brother at that time?
We slept in the same house but different in rooms. I had thought that he would have also escaped like I did, but, unfortunately, he was not able to.
What happened to him?
After the Fulani men left, some vigilantes in the village came to my house because they had heard sounds of gunshots and saw smoke coming from my house. I joined them then and we started looking for my younger brother. At first, we couldn’t find him because of the smoke but on the second check, through the window, we found him dead in the room; he was shot dead.
How did you feel when you saw his dead body?
I felt really sad. My brother was only 45 years old. They just killed him and made his children fatherless and turned his wife into a widow. He left 16 children. The eldest is in final year at the Federal College of Education Osiele, Abeokuta.
You said such attack is a regular occurrence. What do you think can be done to bring an end to it?
I will like the government to take a drastic measure to build a police post in this area for security of lives. Even, there is no (telecommunication) network in this area, which is another problem. This is an agrarian community; we have no other job besides farming. But this place has now almost become desolate because the frquents attacks are making our people to flee
Now that your brother is dead, how is his family faring?
The responsibility has fallen on me but I am only a poor farmer. I want government to come to our aid; I want government to help to take care of the children that my brother left behind. They need to be taken care of and I am not financially capable.
Also, with the situation in the village, the government would need to help us and save us from hunger because all our farmlands have been destroyed. Our storage houses, maize barns have been destroyed. We have been left with nothing to eat. Many of our people have

timtunday: Former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, has revealed how Nigeria’s late dictator, Gen Sani Abacha was discovered dead during the night in 1998.
Abdulsalami noted that the former dictator died during the night and the then Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Coomassie, broke the news to him.
The 79-year-old retired general stated during an interview with Daily Trust TV.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Abdulsalami narrated how late Moshood Abiola, MKO, winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, fell ill and died during a meeting with the American delegation while in detention in 1998.
He said Abiola was not killed but died after falling ill, contrary to the popular story that the politician took poisoned tea.
Speaking on what he knew about the death of Abacha, Abdulsalami said, “A lot happened the day General Abacha passed away. He died I think the day he was to travel to Togo for, I think, the ECOWAs or AU summit.
“Now I got a call from the Villa that General Abacha wanted to see me. So, immediately what came to my mind, I said; I hope he had not changed his mind about going to this Togo and was going to send me because at that time when he passed away, already I was the de facto number two man because at that time General Diya and others were having a problem on this alleged coup.
“So I suspected that the General had changed his mind and he was going to send me because, in a lot of times, I am called upon to go and represent the head of state. So I took my time when I went to the bathroom and I told my wife, “look I think I might be going to this AU Summit, so help me prepare my bag” but before I finished then there was another call.
“Yes, in the morning. Then there was another call; “look the president is waiting for you,” I said, “okay I am coming”. So I casually put on my tracksuit since there was no time to dress in uniform and so on since there was agitation that I was wanted immediately.
“So I came with my tracksuit, I think I was even wearing slippers. When I entered they said, “General is in the office”; so naturally when I come to the office, no matter who was with General Abacha I normally just go in and meet him, and maybe he would say “Okay, wait, let me finish with this gentleman” or he will ask the fellow to give us chance.
“To my surprise when I came, as I was climbing the steps, somebody said, “No, he said you have to wait in the waiting room”. To my surprise, I was in the waiting room for over 30, 40 minutes, then I kept wondering what was happening. Any time I wanted to go up, they said no, the General said I should wait.
“So after about 40 minutes waiting, then Late Coomassie, (Ibrahim Coomassie), who was the Inspector-General of Police came to where I was sitting and he said “Please come”. Instead of going up to the office, we followed out, he said, “No, we are going to the house”.
“It was in that process he told me, “Look, unfortunately, General Abacha has passed on in the night”. So that was how we went to the villa where General Abacha was living and as we entered, they showed me on the right where his corpse was, so I entered and prayed for his soul and so on.
“Then we entered the parlour where I found some gentlemen including I think…Coomassie of course was there then the chief justice of the federation, I think Ambassador Babagana Kingibe and one or two security operatives, I can’t remember everybody.
“Well at that time I was told he passed away and so on and at that time all these speculations did not arise until later on. All we were concerned was that okay, that the head of state has passed on, how do we now break the news to the country, and so on and so forth.
“We were guided by the then chief justice of the federation saying that “Look, so much as there is the need to inform Nigerians about the passing away of the head of state, you cannot leave a vacuum, there must be a substantive head of state before you can go ahead with other things”. So I think that set up the chain of events.
“So immediately, as the chief of defense staff then, I quickly summoned for the council of state meeting. I was still in my tracksuit because there was no time because it was really a shocking and devastating period we found ourselves. So it was later when we set up the meeting, that I had to go home and really get properly dressed.
“So now when I came back well dressed, by that time members of the military ruling council had started arriving, when we all assembled then we went to the meeting. Of all course, we had to break the news although it had become a common knowledge between the members that his Excellency General Abacha had passed on.
“We had to tell the council of his demise and the advice given by the chief justice of the federation, that before we did anything there must be somebody to take over so that he is in charge.
“It took time before the members of the council of state arrived. Of course in the chamber, there were a lot of interactions. Finally, it was decided that okay we had General Useini who was then the most senior officer, so to speak, but he was in the administration, he was then minister of FCT and I was the chief of defense staff, so the issue was one of us should emerge as the head of state.”
We've been trying to reach the driver.. Or 2) He absconded with the goods ( which is possible as he has no affiliation with either the customer or the agent)
Why would you even entrust millions into the hands of an unknown person? Wasn’t there a tracker on the truck? Why did it take you this long?
Omicron007: It is no longer news that frontline Lagos politician Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja recently where he informed him of his decision to contest the apex political seat in the country in 2023.
Since that visit, social media pages have been awash with Tinubu's life long ambition of being the president of this country. A stroll on Nairaland's politics section would confirm that the polity is gradually being heated up concerning the race for who would succeed Buhari come 2023.
Tinubu's candidacy is a trending topic on this forum and a lot of political enthusiasts are airing their voice by drumming support for him or standing against him.
However, let us look at a certain scenario. Who do you think would be Tinubu's running mate? This is a very dicy situation concerning the fact that Tinubu is a Southern Muslim and it will not be acceptable by the general population if he fields a Northern Muslim as his running mate.
Who do you think is the best choice for Vice-President?
He shouldn’t be Running at all in the first place. But Greed and Sentiment won’t let him or his supporters see that.

But during the Christmas holiday I travelled, by the time I came back my precious dog doesn't stay In our apartment again, she now spends all her time at our neighbors, if I call her and my neighbors call her at the same time she will answer them first.

So I ask my dad what could have happened and he told me they beat her when I travelled because she dog a hole in the backyard. Please how do I draw my dog back to me Please help me I don't want to loose her.
1) First find out what draws her to your neighbors house. And see if you can replicate it. 2) Call her sweet names, Spend time with her.
3) Try as much as possible to give her treats. Get cooked brisket bone for her, watch and pet her while she eats so as to creat that bond back.
