There has never been a denial based on submission of NOT required documents.
I'm also a fan of little document app but if one have available other additional papers abeg its better to add em.

Also am not staying on campus. Am staying with an homestay family. We've been in touch for months now.

Sure, go ahead and pay for the available semester.
You must have made a payment for the homestay, sumit the receipt and a latter from the family.
Most importantly, submit these available documents with a Letter Of Explanation. That's the only way u can talk to ur VO for him/her to really understand you.

Ok sir, since he wants to show that he's working then his account will be necessary because you can't tell me someone working doesn't have a personal savings to aid his study apart from his sponsor. 29 and working should not fully depend on a sponsor i:e himself will have to be a co-sponsor.

First of all, congratulations on ur admission that's the first step now onto the next one....
The minimum balance of ur sponsor: I don't know the figure of ur tuition and board so u'll have to do the homework yourself, calculate all neccessary expenses of your first year a x3 of it will be okay depending on who your sponsor is to you.

Please fellow nairalanders, i have a cousin who has just secured admission to humber institute of technology for may 2014; he is using a sponsor who is his sister and who is ready to povide him with all needed documents, i will stand for him as his employer with all employment documents and tax clearance; but i want to ask, with all these, does he need to submit his own personal statement of account which is not really healthy financially?

Why stand for him as an employer after he already got a sponsor? Is it stated that he must be employed??

I am going for human resource management program

Payment of half of tuition, 6K500 by my company and was stated in the affidavit
Affidavit of Support by the company
letter of sponsorship by the company
letter of introduction by the company
letter stating why they are sponsoring me(training and development in human resource management), since i work as an HR officer
company's tax clearnce for the past three years
Company's certificate of registration
company's memorandum of association
company shares certificate, the one they call form C07
evidence of business activities of the company
company's two bank statements (2M and 6M respectively)
Indemnity/bond that my employer made me sign and was certified in court against default, neglect or loss by the company if i dont return to the company.
i submitted my employment letter and payroll for the past six months

Then me, i submitted all academic documents and visa forms. I studied international studies as first degree.

I am not saying those who used uncle or antie or cousin or friend or neigbour or company cannot get approvals oh but they process those one when they like. Look at most peopke geting medical calls. Ask them who their sponsor were and u will conlude 85% are close sponsorship having high success rate.

No specific number of days or weeks but with past experience; maybe 3-4weeks.
You can begin ur search on accomodation but u should have no reason to begin hurry for flight ticket.

As you've written, Online is the only way you can make Jan start date so you have to be very careful not to screw it. Take your time, relax, have fresh air and get that refusal behind you.
Not a bonafide student could be explained in many ways; your answers to the Questionnaire, SOP or maybe something must have showed you're not bonafide and hope your intended study is related to your credentials.
