When is your start date? If the date on your letter is passed before you are called...you will most likely be told to get a letter from school.
You might not be able to negotiate the number of weeks if aint well acquainted with your school's calendar. ...for instance, I doubt if any school will give more than two weeks after start date...and I hope you dont have extra instructions? If you do..you've got to do "usain bolt" like Chrigo will say!

Well, birth cert from NPC in Surulere is 4k official fee and they'll tell u 2wks but if u want it faster follow the man talk with maybe 2k.
While;
Police cert is around 5k (I'm not sure of d price) in Alagbon.

d jay: Hello good people of this forum 1st of I would want to apologise for my absence on the forum as waiting for CIC final decesion can make one numb particularly someone like me, knowing my application developed k leg during processing but the good news is on friday d 16th CIC hornerd God and my visa was handed to me that day I cried softly , I think it was tears of joy perhaps because 2weeks prior to that day I received my package from vfs init my application was closed and I was refused but in the package my intl pasport, full board+ skl fees receipt & letter from my sponsors lawyer standing as source of income as she dint ave a credible proof for source of income but she had enuf fund,all this was not in my package recevied from vfs. Let me take us back during call 4 medicals I was askd to provide these documents that was not in my package recevied from vfs moreso I was given 30days to provide them,If siga can rember I mailed him on his opinion as regards what is my best option as regard sponsors source of income since my sponsor lacked d required docs specified by CIC he sugestted a letter from a laywer would do. Tuale!! Oga Siga ur idea paid off. Now 30day has elapsed and I had not provided the docs infact it was until anoda 30days that I was able to provide the docs my application was closed on the 30th of july and the suporting docs got to CIC on the 1staug am sure dat was why d supporting docs and intl passprt was not in my closed appltn....now back to we're we we're after I recived d closed apllictn 4rm VFS as suggested by a vfs staffs and mr Wammi whom I met at VfS office d day his visa was approved after his 2nd trial encouraged me to hit CIC when I got there filled d form was askd 2 come in well to cut long stry short that day they explaind futhr more why my app was closed and that I should reaplly then gave me my pasrt and odr docs then almost instantly she got a call and she calld me bk in and collectd my docs bak and told me in 2wks dey would get bk 2 me which dey did on fri with d good news of stamped visa ..Thank God 4 me u guys ,thank u all 4 ur support, we are family in here. Well am headed to Ottawa and I applied on 3rd april.

Hey bro I'll advise u don't rush so to avoid mistakes in ur App, aint no bad in ur Uncle sponsoring u; infact he's the very best since he sponsored ur uni edu(pls add d evidences to ur app) and ur pops is late (pls make sure u provide d death cert, u shld be able to get another from NPC just within days).
My uncle of a different surename sponsored me and I didn't even provide enough documents about our relationship but his letter said it all so bro don't be worried.

kjbobo: Congrats. ..but the mails dont carry extra instructions, they send same mail to everybody .its until you pick up your passport from vfs...so try go and check early enough.

Yall remember I went to cdch on thursday to make enquiry about my App and I was told its still within the processing time, I guess they forgot to tell me something; that I'll get my medical instruction today.
This is definition of miracle and evidence of God's doing. The mail came in few hours ago without tuition nor board and I've just been smiling since then.
Thanks to you yes you for the encouragements and advises.
I pray God that answereth prayers will surely answer the rest of medical hopefuls and will also complete mine that he started.

kayconsult: @ playpays. Wen u get to CDHC, ask from the security man that u want a withdrawal form but don't ever make the mistake to withdraw ur package if not no canny for you again. Hers wat u'll fill in the form- ur names as written on ur passport,ur date of birth,reasons for inquiry,the reference number written on ur vfs receipt and then ur cell number so u can be contacted by the VO. Then return back to the security as you wait at the lobby outside.

My dark shades on in a keke napep heading back home fresh from CDCH. Tho procssing time might be long but this inquiry time is fast as noodles. Filled the form, few mins later a female rep called my phone to tell me my App is still within d processing time so I asked what she would advised as my start date is just in 3wks and she was like; I just have to CHILL! I wanted to offer her a lunch as her voice was sexy but I r'mba I'm still saving for canny. :d

Wanna go storm cdch though my app is just 2months old via Vfs. What and what do I need to know and what am I to fill for the 'application number' since I don't have one yet as I'm still waiting for medical.

I just received a call from the CDHC asking why my Tuition was paid by another person who resides in US when my sponsor resides in the UK.

The lady also asked me to forward the email sent to me by the school confirming my payment.

She later sent an e-mail containing UCI no and application no requesting I quote it in my e-mail.

Please I need ur prayers.

I'm sure no one wudda adviced u to follow that kinda way of payment, if u've seeked for advices. Now you must provide a very strong reason to convince ur VO. Experienced peeps on here should be able to help. A bro was denied for similar thing not Canny tho, tws US. For the VO to call u to make such requests that means she's ready to read ur strong reasons. God has answered ur prayers, he started it and he's gon complete it.

First and foremost,I would like to commend oga Siga and co for the much attention given to Keyano palaver.I visited the embassy today,and answered the qustions of my life.
I was given a form to fill and state my reasons for coming.After some minutes,I was told to come inside.The coming"inside"turns out to be an interview.
She asked me about my high school,the gap in my education,and she said how would she know if I am a bonafide student.Then,she began to ask me questions in anatomy and physiology(I am going for nursing).like the functions of the heart,liver and ecosystem.As God may have it,I still retain the memories of those.after the series of questions,she said I will hear from them soon.
Nothing was talk about keyano and tuition payments.
This weekened is going to be a long one for me.
Note:I applied to Keyano College.I hv done my medical for over 6wks now,and was told to pay for tuition and board fees which the school decline to collect,as it is against their policy to do that before obtainig study permit.I went there to know their stand after I was caught between the two power houses(keyano and cdhc)

And how did u handle the situation of keyano policy when embassy asked for tuition??
