While Canadians are busy being friendly to we Africans, our own kind dey misbehave. Smh!

Disclaimer: I'm not generalizing, just talking about the few I've seen. I know there 'should' be some good ones, just haven't met them yet.
Hahaa! See this man. You sef wetin you dey find?! for real tho you neva see anything, so you never meet naija girl wey go use naija accent tell you sey she doesn't understand your own accent or the one wey go even deny naija sey she's not full Nigerian that she's halfcast.
When you see naija men dey marry white it's not only for the passport! Na why boys dey go back house to bring house cox it seems ours girls here forgot their wife material for home. Them go dey think sey na evey man wey follow em talk wan chop their snail they don't know most of us are okay with our wifey sweet snail only!. zeongeon: Don't you think its wise U shut up if u don't know what to say, its not necessary u type something u know.
Nothing wey we no go see for here. Bro on that ish it's better you call the school asap. If they're not responding to your email then your best bet is a call. Just calculate the time difference well and call 9-4 their time.

double08: Please someone shud answer me
In order to know how your new employment would fit positively to ur study permit app; the question is, are you going to keep earning from the company when you leave for Canada? If yes then that's perfect for your app but if No then I can't really suggest anything.

mikolo2008: Accommodation:
Look for a place close to school. Check Kijiji.ca and Craigslist. Price range from $350 - $600. Ensure to get a place that has all the amenities included - hydro(power) and Internet (wifi). Call the house owners directly or send them an email.

Phone Network:
Ensure to use Wind or Mobilicity, try to get a phone here in canada because the mobile network (Wind and Mobilicity are very selective). In a nutshell sell your phone in Nigeria before coming. The monthly bill ranges from $39 - $45 (includes unlimited calls, unlimited internet, unlimited text). Other networks like Rogers, Fido,Bell e.t.c don't offer these unlimited services + you pay more.
Although the merit of using these networks (Rogers, Fido,Bell e.t.c) is that they offer better network and most of them work with Nigerian phones.
NB: I use Wind because I browse and download a lot.

Feeding:
Buy your meat, chicken e.t.c in bulk for the week or month you save more.

Good one but allow me put some quick corrections. Most Naija phones would work here with any

I hope I have been helpful,
Good one but allow put in some things,
Most naija phones would work here perfectly with most Canadian carriers in as much as the phone is unlocked to any network.
Moblicity and Wind are truly the cheapest but not available in the whole Canada.

It was just last month I figured out in SaveOnFoods that they sell naija local chicken here which goes for like $7 for three, they named it 'Hen'. Canadians don't buy cox to them it's too hard and prolly bad for em teeth so I guess that's why it's cheap.

It's fun to walk around the school and look for the "jonny just come" so to laugh a lil bit. That was how the ones we met here last fall use person laugh small. I'm not being a racist but Indians will always look funny to me while some of em still doing research on how some we Africans can fake the Canadian accent so perfect while they would be talking like they traded their tongues for the visa. I fear Chinese tho they're always the biggest competition in every science related program, they be looking like a new born baby who's clueless about the world but they be killing the grades. They wear the most expensive designers but be looking like "Aba made" on em.
What can I write bout fellow Africans? Gossips! gossips!! like Warri, Africans no dey carry last for anything. Na african man go enter bar ask for two glasses of 'chapmen' enter store dey ask for hot icecream cox the weather is cold. oversabi here and there, na me know pass, na my papa get the whole Canada. Kilode?!

zeongeon: People in the house has anyone got a message like this from a school, what does it mean ooh.

Does it mean they will offer acceptance but it won't be for jan 2015? Would I be offered acceptance letter this september but for another start date?

We do not start our acceptances for that program until around the end of September.  I will contact you when I have been advised to offer you acceptance.  There is no guarantee that you will get into the program this year.
Admission hasn't been opened yet and it's possible they aidy have a long wait-list from previous apps which they might consider before new apps.
You should also start considering other schools.

omooba2015: please your advice....my own SOA, it read balance of 1m... and i collected my salary in Hand... not reflect in the bank.. But i have the pay slip...please advice. God bless
i applied for residence in the school i was given Admission, but yet not reply.. hope this will not affect me during submission of my visa application....Also online route, will i scanned my marriage pictures also.... with my Landed prperties document also...
After reading all your post, the little from me will be this;
It's cic (embassy) that needs your sponsor's documents not the school. His soa, evidence to source of fund (employment papers) and since he's originally a Nigerian living in another country his status in that country would be required.
Your pending residence request won't affect your app in any way.
Include your own soa, employment papers including pay slip, doesn't matter if your salary doesn't go to the acct in as much as u have good cash flow init and employment details to back it up, landed property doc, marriage cert and other marriage doc. And if your wife is working you can start it in your soa so they know she or the kids will not be depending on you for financial support after u must have left.

Slimdel: Lol if only you know the true colour of some peeps here, you will know the ones that act like angels aren't and the ones that acts like tiger are angels, telling u from the lessons I learnt from what some peeps here did to me, the me I know will just ignore some things u said indirectly here cause seriously no one insulted any body here all that was said here was smooth and fine and both of us started it so please no hard feelings here bro kiss
Hahaa! Haba?! What are you writing?! What you mean is what I don't understand. Everything I've written is not about anyone. If I need to tell you something I would direct it to you. What I wrote about arguments turning insults is from what I've witnessed here not this present arguement.
Me playpays got enough in real life to deal with, won't come on here to put more loads of mymyself. mba! So biko sis no any hard feelings whatsoever.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 1:07am On Aug 18, 2014
Amefrica: My biggest boss, you're so right. But no one knows how exactly this people work. As always advised on this thread, submit all docs that would support your app, you never know which one could change the VO's mind when deciding.

The person in question has the final decision, either to submit or not. Matured arguments are really good, at least laymen like me and others would grab some points.

Last bullet: Submit every doc that will help your application, while doing this DO NOT submit doc that would kobalize/implicate your application..

How you doing between? You go host me when I land oo.. cheesy
For real peeps who know me know I tend to shy away from arguments and play more because while you're arguing so we all learn more some are taking it personal, then from arguement it turns insult which has forced some peeps outta here. The reality is I'm even careful advising peeps because whatever happens to their app will be dedicated to you either the glory or the curse. They be like na PlayPays say make I no put this doc see wetin happen now, devil go punish am! OR; ha thanks to lagbaja for telling me to put so so doc God go turn his/her water to wine, turn his/her white rice to jollof!

I just gentle mhen after my sunday service prolly a time out later in the evening. I remembered last year I met one egbon in Toronto who stays in Charlottetown but you know all this "egbon egbon wey don tey abroad" you can't trust em, would have connected u to him

Amefrica: I submitted my dad's land docs - he's not the one sponsoring me ...I got my TRV, I don't know if the docs counted as home-tie or financial capability. I guess home-tie tho' smiley
Yall should stop comparing apps, we've said it several times on here, Taiye's head is different from Kenny's.
I never wrote any SOP, my Uncle as my Sponsor never did any affidavit. My doc were just the basics. but I will never use myself as example that someone can also do same because we don't have the same fate.
I've explained my point which I know is right you guys against it also think you're right. No one is wrong here.
We all tryna help!
Every document submitted must be yours or your sponsor's. No be cic talk am na me. Why would you choose to involve a third party in your app? Why complicating things?
In this situation, what exactly would the dad's landed doc prove? Home tie? Are there doc to support she's the next of kin?
If she didn't include it what harm will it have on her app?
Absolutely None!
Lobatan!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 10:46pm On Aug 17, 2014
Slimdel: I disagree with everything you say dear and me I'm terrible at arguments especially when it involves typing, I've made my point and that's it.
Which kind rough play be that, number of immigrant, you must be good at giving people high blood pressure ni

Whoever that has legit land document with a good amount should please add it to their application, and you must be among the people that vo will accept, prayer changes things everything land or no land.
I'm not here to argue, Only here to advice peeps with the little pieces I know. Canada doesn't do interview unless if required which means with every document you submit you're passing a message to your VO.
It was on here someone chop trv with just N1.5m soa but if anybody ask us we will all say it's too small. Every applicant case is different before a VO just as we all men have different fate. We all have different understanding if you think landed documents of someone who isn't your sponsor is okay in a app then good idea but I think otherwise doesn't mean mine it's bad idea.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 10:26pm On Aug 17, 2014
Slimdel: So you are saying the vo can think he or she will leave the land to rot but won't also think he or she wouldn't leave it to rot, like seriously cry, so the vo will only think negative and not positive,, besides will the land document come out of the screen and bite off the vo's eyes, some people forge land document just to prove they have assets person come get the kind land and you are saying the vo will think what again? Please remind me grin
They only major reason for landed documents is to improve financial capability not home tie. The owner of the land is not her sponsor. every country has number of immigrant they can allow in a year it's the job of a VO to look for reasons why someone should be denied. With your use of words meaning they look more for the "negatives" in an app.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 10:07pm On Aug 17, 2014
Slimdel: It serves as home tie cause it's an asset, I wouldn't leave my dad's property to rot,, would u?
You think that's how VOs think? Nobody knows how they think but one thing I'm sure is if her parent and siblings addresses shows nigeria that's enough home tie. What's the worth of the land that it can't be forgotten? Don't people pay million to hustle travelling, you think VOs don't know? if the land worth million of dollars which can't be left then why can't him be the sponsor. huh
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 9:32pm On Aug 17, 2014
I need explanations from those who have suggested that an applicant can add her dad's landed documents when he isn't the sponsor. I don't understand, someone is missing the point.
What are you trying to prove to you VO?
That you have a dad who has such property but can't sponsor your education?
If he is the sponsor that's only when you can include such documents to improve his financial status.

tianadiva: My custodian is my uncle(paternal)he reside in ontario hes already a canadian citizen over there, hes d one i used as my custodian bt the embassy say the need sum clse to my sch which UofM nd has gvn me just few days to do that
Don't stress yourself too much on this, There a bit of chance your uncle would know someone in Manitoba who can act as the new custodian. Another simple thing to do is get a homestay the family will be your custodian, doesn't matter their race or background a letter from them is what you would need to convince cic that they can take good care of you.

LyfeJennings: Hi everyone
I am about to apply for the fourth time. Please I do not have a personal statement of account but I intend to add a management account worth 500k. Does anyone think this justifies my working for 5years. Asides this,I have every other document intact plus my Sponsors SOA worth over 85mill.
I need advise please. Thanks
If I'm in that your gucci shoe I would just forget the 500k acct and let all source of fund and sponsorship be on your sponsor's soa. With that you would have less ish to prove.

Once your app has been submitted you can't include anymore document. I might be wrong if it's paper route tho. The best is just to put it in prayers. Our God is able and he is here with us on this page, even CIC knows!
