Hello Guys,

In the pictures attached is what I've noticed recently about the Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa.
Their website domain name has expired since 14th Jan and Phone number is out of service.
Please help with any info or news about them.

Thanks all

I came to this forum after submitting my app, in my mind I only came here to use it as chill pills for my long wait then not knowing someone on this is forumn as been put in a position to help me when the trv trouble comes. After 2 months of my app and I've learned so much here making me understand my app wasn't perfect I decided to withdraw but that someone encouraged me not to, that i could be so blessed perfectly from that app I tot isn't perfect, 2 weeks later, I got my medical, the rest ofcos just story for the gods. Up till now I still remember that person in my prayers tho he wouldn't know the impact he made, to him it's just one of those advices he can give out.
I'm just using this post to encourage us that you don't know who is who here and you don't know who God can use and same time I'm apologizing to those my words have offended. During those days when we can storm cdch anyhow like a landlord wey wan go ask for rent. My first visit was when I met most people from here. I went with my guy who brought me here, tho I became active than him. We were just sitting jeje like pikin wey fart before elders and some people were busy talking about NL, talking about the different people here, those who are rude and those who are nice, they were mentioning names and all. My name was mentioned and a lot was said bout me, I was amazed. Another mate here who I had met earlier just came from nowhere and shouted my name and those people looked at me with their eye balls getting bigger than Segun Arinze's, Are you Playpays?! I answered Yes, see the way they rush me like when mosquitoes hear sey there's a fat neighbor who forgot to close his windows. I was glad by things said of me. if i was a bad fella that's how they would have rushed me with heavy beatings. One of the reason why I will always be loyal to all here, you don't know where you will meet another person from here.

opsynusy: I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU DONT QUOTE ME ANYMORE, IGNORE MY POSTS EVEN IF YOU HAVE POSITIVE RESPONSE FOR IT...THANKS
I would really appreciate if you do accept my apology. I'm not a perfect being neither are you, my other day reply to your post at me was really too much, I'm sorry. I'm not in any way that kinda person, I usually ignore such post that I know could get me act in a type of way, but how many will I keep ignoring that was just why I wrote at you that bad. I have no excuse tho. Believe me, cutting the head won't cure the headache, I rather apologize with 100% humility than let it go.

Jaydenehis: Oga playpays,no one knows it all. I only stated what I stated to help the person who was worried and u have absolutely no reason to start stating unnecessary issues. People here have good travel history and keep mute about it. This is a forum and I felt everyone had the ryt to contribute and help out,i didn't realise only those who have gotten their TRV are allowed to speak. You will be amazed if u find out d calibre of people that visit this forum.we are all here to learn.
No no, if that was too much from me, then I'm sincerely sorry, I have no reason to doubt you. If I should count the number of people I've met from here it will be more than 20 and even up till now I'm still being amazed.
I was trying to clarify something in that post, most people believe it's lot of work and stress to renew passport in Canada that the service they get from NIS in Ottawa is bad but FOR ME it isn't so, it's way easy. Again I apologize.

saxywale: Concerning the receipt. I learnt the hard way so many times in Canada...from TV(wanted to change to a bigger screen) and deep fryer(pafuka on first day of use)....Unfortunately for me, I binned the receipts. Now i have a box where i keep all my receipts cool

How did the guy manage the difference in voltage i.e 240v to 110v.
It's working so fine for my sunday service shirts and pants grin yeah appliances here use 120 but washer nd dryer works on 240 making it possible for us and ofcos with adapter.

Jaydenehis: Really, well send me a pm and get the command I will not disclose my identity to you or ask you to meet me up or call me. You simply go to the command and contact any officer on uniform and tell them what you want to do but please when you or whoever you send gets it SAME DAY or within three days (depends on the availability of materials) please come back and share the good news here.
I'm not doubting you. As you've written it's your job, you work with the NIS. I don't need confirm anything so there won't be need to send PM. I know how to go my way to gey whatever I need and I or anyone I know won't be needing renewal passport, it's way easy here and you don't need to know anybody, just with $65 app fee.

Oyeleye2011: Please my Oga in the house, I don't know whether you guys notice this in canada. Since two weeks have enter this country, i have never see pressing iron to iron my cloth. Are they not using pressing iron in canada. I know this funny but am just thinking what is happening.

Funny something the iron I'm using my guy brought it from naija

opsynusy: nah..my passport expires march 15 2015,i was at NIS august and they told me to wait till sept 15...I don't think a 9month valid passport can be renewed, well it's nigeria, anything can happen
Thanks for this. People have tried it and came back here to report how they couldn't get it done. Ideally they will only renew for 6months or less validity and someone just mentioned about writing a letter to abuja alongside ur school acceptance letter, which sounds good.

sidnigga: Thank u jare for that... Some peepz if dem don get luck get trv dem go think say ppl wey neva get dat trv no get sense to advise... Mtcheew!
On another day I would have been really mad at this kinda post because you're hitting at me but it's raining so heavy here and I have a class, I won't stay home cox of rain so I entered it like that now I'm so shaking like fish outta water.
I wasn't wrong for correcting you, a lot people depend on this forum and I wouldn't allow any wrong info to sound right. Again u were wrong 100%!
You can't just come here with assumptions, nobody knows it all that's why I only attend to what I know on here. btw, my trv issued last year wasn't luck. I worked for it, prayed for it and God blessed me with it.
I have read what you wrote about ur cousin's app and I refuse to reason with you cox reasoning with you would only make me to start thinking like you which i'm not ready to settle for. I'm writing it again that it's better you stop assuming, no VO would deny someone for less passport validity.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 8:39pm On Sep 29, 2014
Cufs: Buh my passport is valid for about 10months. Maybe renewing it before they advise sm1 to do so may be a better idea. Just thinking#
100% better idea but I don't know how NIS work on that, if they can renew, that would be great. so give it a try before applying.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 8:17pm On Sep 29, 2014
Cufs: I don't understand your 3rd sentence. Are you saying its possible for your visa to be denied if your passport isn't valid for 2 years, if your going for a 2 years course??e.g
They will never deny you for such, using ur example they might give you a year and half as much as the validity can take, knowing you're eligible to renew ur visa later on. We've witnessed on here where cic advised peeps to go renew their passports so they can't deny anybody for less passport validity.

Siga: ... Bros... Efiko can fail... If u miss classes and miss group work ... Absence can fail person...besides been an efiko... U need to be present at all presentations, group assignments, labs and all....
Confirm! For my program if you have up to 3 absences from class you've auto failed, 5 absences you'll be auto advised to withdraw. Efiwe no reach oo 100% determination is required.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 7:47pm On Sep 29, 2014
sidnigga: Guy renew ur passport ooo.. Dat minimum of 6mnths applies to dos going for study not above 6mnths... Dey can't issue visa above d validity on ur passport.. Dey we deny someone on d ground of 'purpose of visit'.... Ayam talkin 4rm experience ooo
What experience are you writing from? Everything you wrote just 100% wrong!
Cic doesn't issue permit for any study of 6 months or less.
And CIC won't issue visa more than ur passport validity, they rather return ur passport for you to go renew it before issuing ur visa.
And cic will never deny someone with excuse of 'purpose of visit' for such.
And lastly I don't think NIS would renew a passport that still have up to 9 months on it.

What do you mean by email copy, isn't the same one emailed to you would be mailed. Meaning the softcopy emailed to you is same as d hardcopy mailed.

Will the embassy accept my staying with her?
Or do i just make an official arrangement for accommodation?
Lastly, a landed property that is gained by inheritance counts but it is certified by Law Court. It does not have a survey plan.
Yes Yes they will I came here with a letter from my Uncle that I wld be staying with him even when cic was requesting I pay 1yr accomodation which I didn't ofcos!
If her side is close to your school then you need not to trouble yourself.
No survey plan ain't a problem.

opsynusy: hes even supposed to do the biometrics for me cos I paid him what do u think? I just don't understand how some people reason sometimes
Heaven knows I replied your post nicely as I've always done since my day 1 here, only tryna help. It won't cost you anything to explain to me that biometrics are done at the point of submission for paper route apps but you have this fire in your head that has already burnt your brain that couldn't make you think good. Now that you had to reply in that manner showing how expensive good manner is that you're too broke to afford some. Btw after hiring an agent you brought yourself here to ask questions, why do you need the forum when you have your experienced agent?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by PlayPays: 7:02pm On Sep 23, 2014
opsynusy: @ all especially to those that just submitted, pls do you get an alert after submitting and who sends the alert..cos after submitting on friday,i went back to my agent's office to tell him I have submitted,he told me it was unnecessary cos he already got an alert...just curious
@yomiraheem it was paper route
@joe don't know how much he collects normally, hes a family friend,i can mail his contacts to you if you need to make inquiries
After paying an agent so you still had to do the submission yourself, don't get mad with the responses you get from here about agents because we know these agents and how they operate more than you do.
CIC could notify to the email on your form that your app has been received and now under processing.

slyk2: My sponsor is my sister.
She has a company in Canada and a house, her personal SOA is about $29K - single though.

As it is, should i exclude my financial documents and use hers only.
First year tuition paid so $29k is a good soa and she has no dependants, if her place is closer to your school she can also state in her letter that you will be staying with her. As it is your sis own makes much sense but you can still submit your landed and shares just to show em sey you sef ain't "I never chop" and not as a co-sponsor.
