Health / Curbing The Spread Of Covid 19: The River State Strategy by poetictwenty(m): 11:31am On Jul 02, 2020
As I made my way to work today in the Rivers State covid 19 Free bus, I saw reasons to applaud the Rivers government for being alive to their responsibility of safeguarding the state and bringing the dividend of democracy to her dwellers.
I remember listening to Dr. Ikenna Benjamin, over the radio years ago, when he defined Good Governance as "the ability to take decisions that is beneficial to majority, if possible, all of the citizen" he further said that the ability of a government to come up with cohesive policies that can solve and meet needs of its populist can be termed as good governance.
The free bus doesn't only provide free transportation around portharcourt, but also, act as a means of identifying possible corona virus patents.
Before someone makes his/her way into the bus, he has to be properly protected with nose mask , while santizers is offered to him by the bus security. His body temperature will also be read with help of the "gun thermometer".
Rumor has it that anyone with high temperature is taken to the testing centre for further examination.
I will encourage others governors to adopt this approach.

Poems For Review / Sonnet Of Life by poetictwenty(m): 9:17am On Jun 30, 2020
Life is; an unseen future, but predictable,
A temporary present, but beautiful,
A permanent past, but regrettable,
A transient journey, but wonderful.
A popular word with countless meaning,
A priceless utility possessed by the living.

In life, we're sure of nothing, not even the next minute,
For death always wait to remind us we're dust.
All we have is nothing, but this very moment.
Whether it comes with pain or merriment.
Live, glow and enjoy every moment in life
And wait for the priest to proclaim you, deaths legally married wife.
Don't tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death.
For all soul we walk the aisle to be one with mother Earth.

Why is the duration of N-tech and N-agro just 6months,others12months

I believe they want everyone to benefit from the program.. since N-tech and N-agro is more about training people on technology and Agriculture respectively, they would like to train as many Nigerians as possible. after 6months the portal will be thrown open to welcome another batch for training.

Poems For Review / Fathers Are Not Men by poetictwenty(m): 10:25am On Jun 21, 2020
As I walk the path that leads to manhood -
Going through the valleys of failures
And climbing the mountains of great success.
I walked my mind back to my natal days -
Days I picked my needs in the pockets of my Father.

Each day, as the sun dies a painless death,
Leaving the sky to wear a funeral attire.
He returns home with smiles dancing on his face.
Leaving behind the sorrows of the day on the road that leads home.
while bringing home the joy no money can buy.

When my feet walked the path that leads to dark tomorrow;
His stripes guarded me like a shepherd leading his sheep's
While his words was a road sign
That guarded me on the path he has once travelled.

As the thoughts of my journey so far runs in my head,
My neck forced my head into a dance-
A dance that shows an agreement to the acient Truth :
That it takes more than a third leg to be a Father..

#Happy Fathers day

Poems For Review / Against All Odds by poetictwenty(m): 7:03am On Jun 20, 2020
We are not saint, even sins knew our names
We knew the taste of sin and her abode.
We left bitters tales on the lips of mother
And fathers strokes, got tired of visiting our body.
We were once the name on the lips of gossiping tongues:
and our tomorrow was mocked at by those who judged us by our evil ways.
Who saw tomorrow naming us as failures.
We knew the sound and words of sin.
Hang your cloth for nail.
Do fast fast make I meet another customer.
These words reminds us of places that housed our yesterday pleasure.
And how we became a tale on the lips of whores.
As we look back at how we left the wrong path of yesterday
And forced our steps on the right path leading to tommorow
with today counting us good in our daily doing;
We have one word on our lips to those who believed in us .
And for those who guilded us out of our wrongs way.
Thank you.

Poems For Review / Eclectic by poetictwenty(m): 11:33am On Jun 19, 2020
My heart no longer beats the rhythm of anxiety
And my tongue has unlearned the language of frustration
Not because the sun now rise with my dreams
But my mind has drank from the waters of reality.
Each morning, I wake more confident than how I left the night.
As happiness has now found a home in my heart.
I pray, hope and still lay hold to faith
But I have buried the belief of predestined fate.
Why wait for the gods to move you up the mountain
Like a baby backed by her ever loving mother?
Why sugar-coat the lie that only the gods
Can turn water of wishes into wine of reality;
When I know I can mould the clay of wishes into being of reality,
If only my hands can dig and romance the dirty soil.
If my crops should die because the gods stopped the rain;
I will farm again!
till the rains become too heavy for the sky to hold -
For my tears can't replace the rains.
Why should I strain my eyes looking for rainbow in a dark cloud.
When I can sit calmly in the palace of my mind,
Till the sun rules the sky again.
For no matter how hard the storm rage, it's just wind, it will pass.

Travel / Counting The Cost : The Waste Of Natural Resources (zuma Rock) by poetictwenty(m): 11:12am On Jun 18, 2020
As I embarked on my routine morning exercise today- Jogging from zuba in Abuja to suleja in Niger state. I had to make a temporary halt at the Zuma rock.My mind examined a waste of Natural resources that have been left unutilized.
I have read about tourist traveling miles away from their country to other countries, just to embark on mountain and rock climbing events. I won't be surprised finding Nigerians among this set of tourist. The money these tourist bring along with them and the many good image that comes with having this set of people in your country, can't be overemphasized.
Zuma rock sits at a very good geographic location, just about 45km from the Nation's international Airport. With a road that connects Abuja to the rest of big Northern states passing through its location.
Few days ago, while moving pass this same location, I met a group of young lads trying to take pictures near the Zuma rock, but can't access it, as farmers has planted their crops round the rock. The visitors had to take pictures many meters away from the rock , while being cautious of the military check point located there aswell.
Our over reliance on the oil sector has made us become blind to other sector that can fetch us a whole lot of money without degrading the environment.
What stops the federal government from organizing yearly rock climbing event. If we can start now, in years to come, it will attract the attention of other sports men and women around the world and even multinational companies might see reason to sponsor such events, when it starts getting the needed attention.
How about creating staircase that leads to the mountain top? This might attract Nigerians from far and wide to this site.
I remember how the Rivers state Government turned a swamp, near a military Barracks into a pleasure park that has become the talk of the Nation. how about creating something of that nature near the Zuma rock. With this, people will have more reason to visit.
There are so many things we can do to attract the world to Nigeria, and boast our economy, but the leaders seems to be contented with the cursed blessings called crude oil.

Poems For Review / No Where Feels Like Home by poetictwenty(m): 3:20pm On Jun 17, 2020
As this loneliness lingers like memories of my first kiss.
Daily reminding me of what my life has become.
Nights turn my minds into a battle ground
As I fight to subdue those failures that walk shoulder high in my memories.
I sit in solitude trying to stitch together my broken dreams,
And my wakeful eyes trying to see beyond the silent darkness.
My minds tries reaching out to my bag of hope
But it finds a gaping hole at the bag base.
My mind roams like a wanderer searching for an abode
Maybe a place it could call home
But it always return with the bitter Truth,
That there is nowhere for a troubled man to call home.

Religion / St. Theresa's Catholic Church Madalla Bomb Blast : 8 Years Later by poetictwenty(m): 2:50pm On Jun 17, 2020
On the morning of 25th December, 2011, the lens of all media houses was pointed at the Peaceful town of madalla in Niger state, due to a scenario that is still inked in the hearts of every member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State.
It was another beautiful Christmas day - so they thought-, and worshippers had trooped out in their numbers to pay respect to the birth of their saviour, Jesus Christ. With hopes of returning home to celebrate and break bread with family, friends and neighbors; Some families had to leave one or more member of their household at home to put in place all that will be needed to make the Christmas day a memorable one.
The Christmas has started with happy faces smiling at each other , as melodious carols leave the lips of all that was present in the church. The priest wasn't left out, as he gave out his usual power pack sermons. Truly it's Christmas: A day to celebrate.
Few minutes after the end of the mass, worshippers made their way out of the church , ready to begin their Christmas celebration.
Instead of celebration, it became a morning of mourning for the residents of madalla, both Christains and those of other faith.
Just same way the members of the church had been looking forward to a memorable Christmas day,a terrorists group,Boko Haram, had also been looking forward to that day , with the intention of leaving behind bitter tales on the lips of Nigerians and the world at large.
At exactly 8:30am, as narrated by an eye witness, an unusual sound was heard in the church premises. This wasn't the sound of Hallelujah from worshippers, but a bomb blast that was followed with wailing, screaming and loud crys of worshippers begging for their lives due to several degrees of injures and shock caused by the bomb blast.
Another bomb blast went off in quick secession, which had an even more devastating effect.
About 37 worshippers lost their lives, with many others seriously injured.

More than Eight years after this incident, the members of St. Theresa's Catholic Church Madalla, still feel the pain of losing their members, friends and siblings to this Bomb blast.
Mr kelechi john, who is a member of Catholic youth organization of Nigeria (Cyon), Madalla parish. lamented about how the bomb blast ended his glorious football career, by injuring his right foot, which resulted in him being just a spectator to the game he loves so much. Though he count himself lucky enough to be alive, as his friend who he came to church with on that day, didn't make it back home, but rather made a triumphant entry to the kingdom of his creator in heaven.
Mrs. Joy Femi, A member of Divine mercy ( a prayer group in the Catholic Church) , said that the church still pray daily to God for that day , hoping that God will forgive the sins of those who lost their lives and also give succor to those who lost love one.
She said that there is a page in the church weekly bulletins where a special prayer concerning the bomb blast is written. The prayer according to her, is like an anthem that every member of the church should know off hand.
But Mr Levinus okoroafor, member of Catholic men organization (CMO) is saddened by the fact that terrorism is still a topic in Nigeria. Though he's happy that Kabiru sokoto, the master mind of the Madalla bomb blast is behind bars, But he's still ashamed each time he reads in the papers that people are still losing their lives to terrorists in Nigeria.
A look at the church , shows that the damaged properties has been replaced and many more new building have sprung up, but the pains of what happened in 2011 is still thesame.
John Mustafa, a Catholic in Madalla still feels that other members of the Church still dislike him, just because he bears a Muslim name and hails from the Northern part of Nigeria.
One can still see apprehension, each time someone who looks like a Muslim makes his/her way into the church.
The regular Saturday sports exercise, that is carried out in the church premises by youths of the church and some others from the community, seems to ban Muslims from joining them.
This according to a source that don't want his name disclosed,is a preventive measure to avoid a reoccurrence of 25th December, 2011 incident.
There seems to be a remembrance and prayer for the victims on every 25th December. Some groups in the church use this opportunity to visit families who lost a love one in the blast.
According to Emeka Moses, a member of the church, He said that the church is planning a big remembrance event this year for all who died on that day, due to the bomb blast . He said the priest asked each organization in the church to think of how to make that day a read letter day .
Though the buildings has been repaired, and damaged properties replaced, but Christmas day had and will never be the same for St Theresa's Catholic Madalla, Niger State.

The night is here with Daddy presence
It's here to chase away the troubles the day brought in my absence.
Tell me how the day mocked you when your cry called on me
Say it before your eyelids gets tired of blinking.
Kiss your worries goodbye my child
And bury your troubled head on Daddy's shoulder.
Be at peace in my arms dear child
For my arms will be your home in years to come.
Let not the dark night scare you
For I will watch you as the moon watches the Earth.
Let not the silent night trouble you
For Daddy's voices will be close to your Ears always
Sleep , sleep for Daddy will be here to listen to your stories -
Stories that you tell in languages that is strange to my ears.

Technology Market / How To Sale An To A Client/ Customer by poetictwenty(m): 11:51am On Jun 14, 2020
I recently improved a personal project I undertook while in the University. It's an Automatic changeover switch that can switch off the generator aswell.
I used contactors and relay to design and construct this ATS.
What made me think about this project again was a particular football viewing centre and betting shop in my area that has the challenge of switching over to NEPA manually when power is restored. This always causes protest and agitation among football lovers who get angry when the owner of the viewing centre decides to switch from generator to NEPA while a match is ongoing. The time taken for Dstv to restart and others delays is the cause of this protest.
And for the betting shop, those who play virtuals and those booking and betting games from desktops that have no UPS, have to start afresh when the shop owner switches back to NEPA...
With this my design, the change over will be in milliseconds, and it will be done automatically with no human input. Nothing will be Disturbed .

so, my question is how can I sale this idea to many betshops including the one I talked about.

I need words to say,
how to present this idea to my potential client?
and the best time to approach this client?
Poems For Review / Older And Wiser by poetictwenty(m): 9:32am On Jun 14, 2020
Older and wiser
I have kept worries out of sight
And I have laid sorrows to sleep
I have watered the hope that my sun will rise after the night
And forced calm into my eyes that weep.

The scrolls of life is now deeply folded in my brain
So when the nights comes, I keep my peace, for it will surely go.
I now enjoy every moment while it remains.
For the sun that rises will sometime set, this I know.

When life goes by with its changing ways
I will sit and broider my dreams instead
For glory will rise with the sun, when the night decays
And my fulfilled dreams will stitch my broken heart with happy threads.

Poems For Review / To A Loving Sister by poetictwenty(m): 9:24am On Jun 12, 2020
To a Loving sister
Every letter in your name was picked
To describe an Angel you are -
Everloving, zealous, industrious,
Nice and never ending-care
Ezinne!
A name that echoes love in my ears,
And carries in it ,good memories from the dark nights of my yesteryears.
Ezinne!
You're the reason, I still believe that life ain't totally unfair to me.
For You're a treasure that life kept for me
Years before I walked out of the door between mother's leg.
Ezinne!
You're a metaphor that explains my life's blessings;
A rose that beautified the garden of my life, covered with weeds.
A moon whose borrowed light shun on me, in my darkest night.
Ezinne!
If I should Paint you with words;
Oceans of ink won't be enough.
If I should count your goodness towards me,
It will be like counting my breath from the day of my birth.
Ezinne!
Each time I count my blessings, I count you twice.
For those voice that encouraged me when fell
and the hands that help me up the mountain of greatest.
I say, you're ink in the pages of my heart till tomorrow calls me late.
